As always some fantastic and varied views on here guys. As a glass half full guy (don't mention Brighton) I tend to enjoy reading the positive perspectives put forwards by Wex BW, Speedy and Degs.

That being said I totally understand the desire for change now! However at the risk of being hung and drawn. Do we as fans need to be much more realistic in our expectations? I sense we are often like England fans coming into another major tournament even though we've done absolutely nothing since 66'

When we say go MC now! What does that mean? Become the new Man City? Or the next Bolton. I actually do not think money is the answer to every successful team. Bournemouth certainly did not buy their way out of this division on crowds of eight thousand a week they had an exceptional manager and chairman working in perfect harmony. Fact is we don't have this but we could without major money being invested. Fact MC gets all the grief GFH gets none? Fact Parkin may invest but he hasn't yet.

Look at Birmingham currently just outside the playoffs in 8th beating Hull tonight as I write an ex chairman in prison an
exceptional young manager in Rowett.
Look at their Team recognise any stars, flair players, big signings? Nope just a Team supported by a loyal fan base who recognise they are probably punching above their weight at present. Fact we don't own our ground, training ground and MC lied to us all by not addressing that. Fact we are 18th Brighton away was the worst away performance I have ever seen. Fact I don't want to switch to Brighton or Birmingham because I am so fortunate to support LEEDS UNITED. Fact is I may never see my beloved team play in the Premiership again but I wouldn't swap that for anything especially any impractical illogical plans which then returned us back into administration and potentially out of business. So I'll wait however long, disappointed I become I will keep being lifted by our fans first and foremost, I mean I support the best team in the world FACT 😃.

i agree with this post and thought it was smart and realistic. I get a lot of stick from freinds and family being based in london.

small club with the big ground. team with naff all but memories. worse run team outside of blackpool. etc etc. I also know a lot of fans who are happy with their clubs lot. Leyton orient and millwall etc. they have never been big clubs but fans are happy.

i think some fans live onto the past and feel we have some god given right to be a big club. the fact so many fans on here talk about prem is maybe a bit dilliosonal and not justified. Why should we be challenging for playoffs, we have been pillored for years, best players sold, ground sold, debt, we don't even have a training ground yet some people talk about putting in millions to be challeneging for prem. how many teams in our league had to sell their stadium such was their plight, yet we think we should be top six club?

I like yourself would love us to be back in prem, but I don't think it will happen and don't think it is realistic for it to happen. I think the football at the moment is poor and want us to improve but we are really where we can hope to be. Realsitcily we should hope not to go down over next three years then after that bit better every year so promotion back to prem realisticly in ten years if lucky?

like yourself I love this club and I feel so lucky to support leeds and love everything about them. if we go up great if we go down it don't matter still rather be leeds in league one than someone else in champs league.

i can see why some people are upset and want better but I honestly don't think we should even be thinking about going up because that is not where this club is at at the moment. So I will just love the club and if we win it is a bonus as we are S'''T. This said I do think the standard and style of football is below par. I don't mind losing but play with some pride and try and score.

anyway point of my post i'm with you class of 92.

I don't believe it
The above two posts are exactly what I was about to write!
Good posts
However. We have bigger crowds than most in and out of prem and a bigger fan base so it is down to owner to manage and utilise this advantage.
It is solely bad running of the club from top to bottom why we are where we are.
Players can only do what they can do. Most are bad but they were bad when they were bought.

Excellent posts. Nothing to add to these, other than support what Class of 92 and BW have posted.

What a great post class of 92! It's the stability we all crave, we Leeds fans have our expectations based on our memories of the good times. The Great Revie team. The young team who set the Prem alight in the late 90s early 2000. That same team so close to winning the Champions league and Eurasia cup. Sgt Wilko's real champions of England team. So we know good times can return quickly, but our MC is such an unpredictable individual who does not bring harmony with his ownership. If MC would just do the right things which he should have learned by now. Let the manager pick the team, identify signings, tactically manage each game. MC needs to take a back seat. GFH bought out. Being honest with the fans and bring unity within every aspect of the club.

Leeds United always
