Palace now in the running too, as they're resigned to losing Mateta, though also suggested they make us an offer for Piroe.

Palace might be in the mix if they lose Mateta but Juve were allegedly interested but seemingly now looking at El Neseyri at Fenerbache. If we get Larsen for £25m plus add ons that's ok.

But I still don't know how we can meet PSR unless we stretch the contract over 7 or 8 years as Chelsea do. I'd rather Palace took Larsen and we got Mateta.

Prefer a left sided CB given our system. It’s a necessary signing and provides more bang for the buck in this relegation battle in a position we have been short a few times already. Potential to improve the starting 11 immediately, both at midfield and defence given we have already weakened midfield to plug defence.

If going for an attacking player, then someone like Martin Baturina would be a better choice imo. He would be comfortable in a top premiership side and definitely improve the first 11. SL comes in as cover or insurance. I feel it’s a hole we could plug if needed.
