Maybe, VAR is only turned on at one end, and they swap over at half time, as anything seems to be fine at the other end.

If we played well enough, we should have won despite VAR. I know we can blame it, but let's not kid ourselves. Their tactics worked. Ours, woefully, didn't.

Amps handled the ball, probably an instinctive reaction, but his arm moved towards it. Joe R was offside. DCL could have had a penalty. Sometimes they're given, but usually they're not.

The problem of man handling is getting out of hand. Watching Arsenal v Chelsea on Sunday, they might as well have been playing rugby at corners. Large numbers of players together, with arms round each other and shirts held, often with the keeper stuck in the middle. Crowding the keeper isn't against the rules, but the rest is, and refs don't seem willing to get to grips with it.

On Sunday, he kept calling players out, said a few words, and then let them return to the maul.

Arsenal have turned this tactic into a bit of an art form, and, with good delivery from Rice, it is a potent weapon. When refs start penalising attackers and defenders, we might get back to a situation where the outcome of a corner is determined by finding space, jumping high and heading well. Not a result of wrestling skills and the ability to hang on to your opponent's shirt.
