West Ham considering Large. Don’t want to lose Large but West Ham got a chunk of money in the coffers, so 50 would sweeten the deal.

Ausman2

1.) 29 Jul 2026 10:58:25
Would definitely sell for right price. Farke clearly doesn't trust him, so move him on and reinvest.

2.) 29 Jul 2026 11:03:48
50? What, Aus? £50M, no chance!

3.) 29 Jul 2026 11:54:44
I'm thinking £15 to £20m max is what we can expect for Ramazani.
It'll probably end up being nearer £10m.

4.) 29 Jul 2026 11:56:39
Okafor only manages 60 mins (generally) , so a good left sided midfielder is required (been using Nmeca as first change) . Farke clearly won't use Large, so loan or sale is required. It's not always about the fee, but the reduction in wages to fuel acquisitions. Get him gone for a couple of mill to give the player certainty over his future..

5.) 29 Jul 2026 13:38:28
Yeah, West Ham sign Largie for a paltry £12 million and sell him in 2 seasons for £40 million.

Leeds should keep Largie. The guy has serious talent, threat and goalscoring instinct.

6.) 29 Jul 2026 13:40:36
I'm not saying he is worth 50. I'm saying spam can afford 50. And, if Somerville is worth whatever it was, Large is worth 50. I'd take Large over Somerville any day.

7.) 29 Jul 2026 14:18:20
£5m & Mavropanos...

8.) 29 Jul 2026 14:37:57
Okafor needs to be moved on if he cannot increase his match minutes. A strategy cannot be based on a pre-match substitution for him every game at 60 mins, and he'll be a bench warmer, not a starter. He has a bit of quality, but is very hit and miss.

21 Jul 2026 05:47:49
Looking at 6 ft 9 goalie Scherpen. At least targeting important positions now. Worry about defenders and midfielders later.

Ausman2

1.) 21 Jul 2026 08:33:17
Being linked with a few, but Scheperen is already in talks with Ipswich, and they have signed Oevelen as back up. Tzolakis linked with us, but it looks like he's off to Hull. Suzuki seemingly is interested, but the price quoted is around £26m.

There'll be others, but it's slow progress.
Disagreement with Torino re Perri, who wants an option to buy, but we're insisting on an obligation. On past performance on loans, I expect us to give in.

2.) 21 Jul 2026 09:51:23
So just 41 days remaining of the window. Not long at all now, especially given what still needs achieving this window.

Just 2 signings made within half the window, and (with Darlow disastrously leaving) no number 1 gk signing.

LUFC have friendlies soon, with, as it stands, currently either last season's 4th choice Cairns or a keeper, Perri, who Farke has no trust in and is looking to offload from the club.

This needs sorting ASAP, as it's not in any way ideal preparation for the start of the EPL season, nor a good look on our recruitment dept imo. ?

3.) 21 Jul 2026 10:29:06
I'm with Baz, they must have known Darlow was not signing, and if they are listening to Perri offers, they obviously want him out.
They need to get something in soon, ideally to join the pre-season friendlies in some capacity.

4.) 21 Jul 2026 10:38:20
Really, we had no idea you felt that way, Baz, maybe you should have said something before. ?

5.) 21 Jul 2026 10:46:39
Indeed, Llf.
Hehe, Canada. Yep, indeed.
But, let's wait till end of window, if need be, eh, to sign a keeper, as you proscribe.

6.) 21 Jul 2026 10:55:44
Think striker and goalie 100% priority in next 7 days. Forget the rest. Just pay what is needed. Stop faffing around. Unload Gnonto or Ao. Make some dosh.

7.) 21 Jul 2026 12:38:29
Looking forward to tomorrow's post proclaiming only 40 days left, with another summary.

8.) 21 Jul 2026 12:57:53
We 100% need a keeper or two, Baz!

9.) 21 Jul 2026 13:28:06
Yes indeed, we definitely do, Canada! ..

Brighty, haha, quite droll..

But, why you weren't bothered by Darlow leaving makes little logical sense, imo, with Leeds floundering to sign even one keeper, let alone two.

10.) 21 Jul 2026 17:29:46
How do you know they're floundering?
Foundationless assumption.

11.) 21 Jul 2026 17:54:03
My thoughts: Is Perri an absolute lost cause? He's number 1 atm and we've invested in him. Do we have gk coaches who could focus on his weaknesses?

Then maybe we need another, bit like we did with Darlow.

12.) 21 Jul 2026 18:49:33
Well, have we signed a keeper yet, Brighty?

I am 6 foot 4.. happy to help out.

13.) 22 Jul 2026 00:04:21
I'd target Jason Steele, especially if Peri stays. I believe Steele is better than Darlow, but it's just my opinion.

14.) 22 Jul 2026 01:41:14
Rumour going round that Martinez has decided to stay at Villa rather than push for a move to Juventus, in which case that'd be one less club competing with us for Trafford's signature.

15.) 22 Jul 2026 07:59:39
Very close to Trafford now.

Will need another GK too for when Perri leaves.

16.) 22 Jul 2026 08:19:33
We used to have a production line for good keepers coming from the academy. What's happening there right now?

16 Jul 2026 04:21:22
54 mill for Trafford. Seriously? Says we can afford it too ?.

Ausman2

1.) 16 Jul 2026 07:54:09
There's absolutely no way anyone is paying £54m for Trafford. City paid £27 for him last year. I'd expect he will go for £30/£34m with a sell on clause/buy back.
Someone's been on the crack pipe if they think £54m.

2.) 16 Jul 2026 13:54:40
I can see him going somewhere - such as Newcastle - for the region of £45m.

03 Jul 2026 08:32:43
Increased our offer for Shea apparently. Been rejected.
Also says Brobbery looking for a change.

Ausman2

1.) 03 Jul 2026 10:02:08
Time to walk well away from Charles and any dealings with Southcock.

I mean, let's be realistic, they want £30m for him.

Angelo Stiller has a EUR34m release clause.

I know Stiller is highly doubtful, but I know who I'd rather see in the glorious white shirt next season.

2.) 03 Jul 2026 10:12:58
Southampton have denied that an increased bid of £23m plus add ons has been made. They say it's significantly less, and they want nearer £30m.
We seem to get fixated with players, for example Paixo, and waste a lot of time on pursuing them, often with no result. Time to look elsewhere, find another Stach for £17m.

3.) 03 Jul 2026 11:16:58
Would appear that Everton paid about £16m for Hackney, with about £8m of add ons. Championship player of the year last season. It would appear that he had one year left on his contract, and pushed for a move to Merseyside.
Any offer for Charles shouldn't be any better than that.

4.) 03 Jul 2026 12:25:15
Bang on, dun.
Seems we like overpaying and underselling. Hope it's a habit we can break?

5.) 03 Jul 2026 12:30:53
Old habits die hard. ?

6.) 03 Jul 2026 13:15:50
The club see Charles as a much better long-term prospect, with a higher ceiling and much higher sell-on potential. They will have a maximum amount they will go to, but who knows what that figure is. Meanwhile, Soton are expecting a bid from Atalanta, which they expect to be closer to £30m, but if that doesn't come, then their precarious financial situation means they may consider lower offers (such as ours) .

Sadly, this isn't a video game, and real-life transfer processes can take time, particularly when money is tight.

7.) 03 Jul 2026 16:08:13
I suppose, to some extent, we were a bit spoilt last summer when Nmecha, Bournauw, Gud and Bijol were also signed early July. The rest were spread out, and then a sudden rush in late August when DCL, Okafor and JJ arrived. Three good signings late on, so maybe plenty of time to get it sorted.

8.) 03 Jul 2026 16:19:03
I suggested buying Brobbey last year when he signed for Sunderland for £20M, but the club were set on their fruitless pursuit of Strand Larsen for £40M. Now the rumour is that he wants to move again, tho, by now his valuation is £30M plus.

Would be a great acquisition, but I'd be a bit wary of a player who wants to move only one year into a 5-year contract. Would he sign for us and then want out this time next year?

9.) 03 Jul 2026 16:28:18
How on earth could we have bought JSL if we had to sell Pascal to comply with PSR.
If we'd have bought him, we'd have been in a fire sale this summer. Glad we didn't for multiple reasons!

10.) 03 Jul 2026 18:02:45
Sunderland have just sold Mayenda for £22m, so unless they've got some others lined up, can't see they'll let Brobbey go as well.

12 Jun 2026 02:46:31
Harrison off to MLS apparently. Good news.
What’s the coin on Struik? Anybody know?

Ausman2

1.) 12 Jun 2026 07:10:02
15m quoted last I saw, which ain't enough imo.

2.) 12 Jun 2026 07:16:23
Yeah. I'd have hoped for more for a prem player. 18-20 better. But he obviously wants out. Bit strange, really, as he gets game time. Maybe Farke has told everyone it's 4-4-2 next season.

3.) 12 Jun 2026 08:39:21
Just read £20 to £25. He's only one year left on his contract, but left-footed CBs are always in demand. I hope we continue with three at the back, but have the flexibility to change to a back four if required.
He's been here a long time, and sometimes you need the change and a new challenge.

4.) 12 Jun 2026 12:29:47
Transfermarkt says Struijk worth £22M and Diomande £42M.
Also says Bijol only £20M and Rodon only £18M, which I find strange.

5.) 12 Jun 2026 13:17:54
You're not wrong, JR! Odd value order as well as values!
I'd have Jaka much higher, then Pasc, then Rodon.

6.) 12 Jun 2026 13:20:56
Very, very strange, JR. Struijk is worth more than them, lol. Inside dealing, I suspect. Bright?

7.) 12 Jun 2026 14:03:10
Always hoped Harrison would go out to the US after his positive spell back in New York early in his career. Makes the most sense.

8.) 13 Jun 2026 08:05:21
Two CBs who are rumoured for transfer this window are Vuskovik from Spurs and Van Hecke from Brighton. The clubs are asking for around £60m and £80m respectively. They won't get that, but it makes Pascal look cheap at the suggested valuation.
Brighton have a good record of getting top dollar on sales. They've allegedly turned down Coventry's first offer of £20m for Rushworth.

9.) 13 Jun 2026 11:40:17
Indeed, Dune. I was sure Brighton would
be insisting on far more than £20 million for Rushworth.
#topdollarselliingsupremos.

10.) 14 Jun 2026 10:29:25
Going to have to buck the trend here re valuations. Bijol couldn't displace Rodon or Struijk in a back 4. He does a fine job as the immovable object in the centre of a 3 where his lack of pace isn't exposed. Rodon has been our best centre half for some time, and Struijk, albeit a few clangers at the end of the season, has done well this year.

and carries a premium for being left footed. which is negated by the length of his contract. c£20mish seems about right for all 3 of them. So we'll probably sell Pascal for half that.

We have to look at 9th to 13th. Improvement each season. So far we have upgraded 3 starters. So got to do better. Not in the slightest bit interested in another relegation struggle. Why would we.

Ausman2

1.) 12 Aug 2026 08:01:22
So far, just 3 signings in double digit weeks.

And Leeds recruitment tends to do, at best, one incoming signing in a week.

So, 3 more signings tops? Maybe just one.

I think a few peeps have so far vastly overestimated our window.

As things stand, 15th at best, imo.

2.) 12 Aug 2026 08:07:35
You got to see 2 as upgrades, Baz, even if Wilson is flattering to deceive.

3.) 12 Aug 2026 08:13:25
Upgrades, yes..

But, what's your view if we make very few further additions.. which is looking more likely by the dayyy.

4.) 12 Aug 2026 08:31:00
I just want a starter striker from here. Or someone to battle DCL for start. The rest don't bother me. Use youf if need be. 100% need striker. And, tbh, Baz, James ain't looked that much pre season, so id keep large. Shift James. Anyway. Striker 100%. Then we top 12 I reckon.

5.) 12 Aug 2026 08:48:34
My word, Baz, your optimism and belief is beyond compare. But, I bet if we make 3 or 4 decent signings, you will be a little ray of sunshine.

6.) 12 Aug 2026 09:13:00
Agreed, Aus, re a striker signing.

And,

Davey, yes. If and when we get a striker, a good striker that is, then happy days ? (But will Leeds United blooming do so, Davey?)

imo, a striker signing, could be the most crucial, important signing of summer for Leeds United.

7.) 12 Aug 2026 13:26:45
Absolutely, 3 upgrades and, importantly, we have held on to our most important players as well. Plus, we shifted a few out that were clogging up the wages and squad.

Even if we signed nobody else, it would be a 10/10 window.

DCL is our first choice striker, and I can't see that changing this window - if we bring anyone in, it's likely to be backup or an alternative style.

8.) 12 Aug 2026 13:58:56
Think the window is a 7.5/10 right now. We have to paint in the corners (backup lb/gk) , and then it's a 9/10. Signing a 9/10 to compete with DCL or play behind him would be 10/10.

9.) 12 Aug 2026 14:21:47
10/10 window even if noone else signed? That did make me chuckle. ? Cheers.

10.) 12 Aug 2026 15:25:10
DCL will not stay fit again, as much as last year, and to improve. We need better. He will benefit from fewer minutes.

11.) 12 Aug 2026 15:38:27
Indeed, Aus, I lurve DCL, and he was my player of seez, but we need added competition and reinforcement up front.

12.) 12 Aug 2026 17:53:15
Amazing how you guys are certain that DCL won't stay fit! I think last season we proved that it was possible to manage him and get the best from him! Pre-season he has looked sharp again, and I feel sure that he will get good service this year.

My take on transfers so far is definitely 9/10, may get better!
Still relatively good amount of time to sort a few more out. Keep the faith, nothing happens overnight.

13.) 12 Aug 2026 18:11:21
DDSW, hopefully both DCL and Nmecha both stay fit all seez.. but we need a 3rd striker (not Piroe) in case they don't.

And also, rotation of strikers to keep them fresh and help avoid niggles and injuries.

14.) 12 Aug 2026 18:23:17
I would like a striker who is better than Nmecha to come in, because if there is a lengthy lay off for DCL, Nmecha isn't good enough to start on a regular basis.

15.) 12 Aug 2026 22:19:11
The thing with Baz is, if we go on to sign a top striker, or a "gem" he just moves on to the next short coming. He'll carry on until we need a top kit man otherwise "we'll be going down."

16.) 12 Aug 2026 23:43:53
That was quite good, Ani. ? You do make me laugh.

17.) 13 Aug 2026 08:34:43
Someone has to make you laugh, tho! Otherwise, it's all just being "underwhelmed and disappointed" with you, isn't it?

18.) 13 Aug 2026 10:03:53
Err no Bright, I could literally write hundreds and hundreds of names of current present and past Leeds United players and managers who I rate highly.

19.) 13 Aug 2026 11:59:19
And you do, mostly past or sold. Repeatedly.
Anyway, following Alf's ignore advice now.

20.) 13 Aug 2026 12:40:37
What like .. DCL, Joe Rodon, Amps, Okafor, Danny James, Stach, Bijol, James Justin, Tarek, Tanaka etc.. all current and rated.

10 Aug 2026 23:23:52
90 min got us 9th as we are. Not bottom 6 as predicted by some on here. Have faith chaps. ?.

Ausman2

1.) 11 Aug 2026 09:04:53
Absolutely Aus, it's a top 10 finish for me. ?

2.) 11 Aug 2026 09:40:06
10th, of course, would be fab, but sounds a tad over optimistic imo.

So, I wonder which unexpected clubs, specifically, you are predicting Leeds United will finish above to achieve 10th then?

3.) 11 Aug 2026 09:42:50
AI Supercomputer has the following prediction.

15th Leeds United, 40 points.

16th Forest, 38 points.

17th Sunderland, 35 points.

18th Anis favourites, Ipswich, 32 points.

19th Coventry, 27 points.

20th Hull, 19 points.

That looks likely, quite accurate imo.

4.) 11 Aug 2026 10:06:11
On FotMob, Baz. Not mine. But I recall, apart from the obvious 3: Brentford, Palace, Everton, Bournemouth, Fulham, Sunderland and two more, ish.

5.) 11 Aug 2026 10:24:03
Typo there, I think, Baz. Hull with 19 points?

Was that a rounding error that should have said 2 points? I think Hull have a very strong chance of smashing the lowest ever EPL points record this season.

However, based upon my previous predictions record, that should put them top six!

6.) 11 Aug 2026 10:35:57
2 points is a bit harsh, Class. ? They'll probably beat Leeds at their gaff for starters.

I predict Hull will equal the 11 points lowest total, with a 20th-place finish nailed on.

7.) 11 Aug 2026 14:01:10
Is that one of your predictions, like Trafford will never come to Leeds, Baz?
I think I'll go along with Class's post, and they will very likely get absolutely slaughtered in the Premiership.

8.) 11 Aug 2026 14:12:02
'Absolutely slaughtered', OP?

Isn't finishing 20th bottom on a predicted record equal low of 11 EPL points pretty much that?. ?

9.) 11 Aug 2026 14:41:01
As you asked so nicely, Baz, from the bottom, Hull, Coventry, Ipswich, Sunderland, Fulham, Palace, Forest, Brentford, Newcastle, Brighton. Maybe Bournemouth & Villa.

10.) 11 Aug 2026 15:18:10
Leeds to finish above Villa, Davey? Oh yesss, please. ? That would be wonderful.

11.) 11 Aug 2026 15:28:31
Lol, steady on Baz, don't mean that is what will happen. Think they will struggle a bit, regrouping and dealing with Europe. Got a feelin Pool are gonna find it tough going as well. But of course I could be completely wrong. ??

12.) 11 Aug 2026 23:17:23
A twelfth place finish would be steady, achievable progress for me. I am not sure we would be ready for Europe if we over achieved and made it. A season without any relegation worries would do nicely. And maybe another cup run!

13.) 12 Aug 2026 06:59:47
Sky got us at 14th. I don't give a stuff what any of 'em say. Priority 1 = stay up again. Priority 2 = finish higher than last year, if possible.

14.) 12 Aug 2026 08:11:52
So far, with what we've got, im going for a 10th - 12th place finish.

15.) 12 Aug 2026 10:06:52
I'm going 12th with these below, from the bottom Hull, Ipswich, Coventry, Palace, Newcastle, Fulham, Bournemouth, Forest.

10 Aug 2026 09:25:30
At the end of the day we can only upgrade a bit at a time. Think it was clear to most that we only had 3 to 5 prem standard. And we buy a striker we will have upgraded 4 positions which is a start.

From there we unload a few this window and add couple fillers and that's all we can expect. Survive and build again.

Ausman2

1.) 10 Aug 2026 11:35:26
I think all three signings made so far are immediate starting 11 upgrades. That won't be the case for the next three or four. We'll be lucky if one of them is.

That's no bad thing. If we can get Perri, Gelhardt, Piroe and Ramazani out for a bit of a fee or wage relief and put that to a striker who raises the floor from Piroe and a reliable backup keeper, happy days.

Then we need to invest in a backup or rotation left back. Maybe find a loan winger (Bardhgji) or 10 (Echeverri) ? Or a loanee with option or performance triggered obligation.

I do hope that they keep Lienou, Mills, Chadwick etc. in and around the first team this season.

2.) 10 Aug 2026 11:43:25
Not sure about 3 - 5 prem standard. Aus, Rodon, Bijol, Gabby, Bornauw, Boges, Amps, Stach, Longstaff, DCL, Okafor all deffo prem class.

3.) 10 Aug 2026 12:24:04
We're still in the PL, which probs means we have quite a few PL standard players, no? Some lower end tho, but PL nonetheless.

4.) 10 Aug 2026 12:47:06
Bardhgji injured in training. Suspected ACL.
Still lots of talk about Bornauw going to Hamburg. Can't see this happening, unless we have someone like Elvedi to fill the gap. Bornauw may want more game time, but we need squad depth even more.

5.) 10 Aug 2026 12:51:52
Consolidation this season. If we manage to improve on last season's position, then I'll be pleased. With the majority of the squad remaining and the quality upgrades, we should be capable of that.

6.) 10 Aug 2026 14:08:28
Be nice to finish around 11/12 this year and build again next summer.
I like the look of our team, but we lack good squad depth at present. Pre-season so far has been pleasing.
See how we get on Wednesday, but again it's a free hit, not reading into it.

I still think it's mad partying, 60000 go all day boozing, then steel together to a "friendly".

For the love of the club, please can all Leeds fans not embarrass the club, and just enjoy the craic and a game of football.

7.) 11 Aug 2026 08:12:47
Just to add that Wilson and Trafford are Prem class, imo.
And I think that Tarek Mmmmovvvehic (cant spell his name, but you know who I mean) will do ok, me thinks.

08 Aug 2026 06:35:50
Anybody know why Farke hasn't been offered a new contract yet?

Ausman2

1.) 08 Aug 2026 09:28:52
Want to see how he does this season.

2.) 08 Aug 2026 10:04:12
So they still got doubts about his ability, Alf. See how he performs when backed to the hilt?

3.) 08 Aug 2026 10:24:48
Surviving and establishing is still the aim this season but apparently next summer will be a massive window for us so the 9ers may not trust Farke to take us to the next level. I think a lot will indeed rest on what happens this season, and who else is available.

I think we will want to look for a more elite manager, but again it depends on whether Farke can prove himself with a better squad. No need to rush into these things, both sides know the score.

4.) 08 Aug 2026 10:45:33
'Leeds hierarchy will want to look at upgrading Farke for an elite manager to take us to next level,' you say, fellas.

Yep.

5.) 08 Aug 2026 12:55:41
I have asked you about who that might be, Baz, at least 3 times in as many weeks. You still haven't suggested who this elite manager might be. Give your audience some examples.

6.) 08 Aug 2026 19:05:16
Aus, as per posts, both are looking to see how things pan out. Daniel Farke will look to see what they bring in. 9 look to see how things start, but 9s have been very busy sorting out the ground upgrades, pre-contracts and the recruitment of new players.

Daniel Farke is too busy sorting the team out, and, as he said at the end of last season, he still has a contract and is not bothered at all at this time. No matter, he will get a new one in due course, mate.

7.) 08 Aug 2026 19:07:18
Aus, I forgot to add. Stop poking the. ? ? ?

8.) 09 Aug 2026 08:14:41
Baz, they had an elite manager on the board, not sure who you would like. Farke is turning out to be a very good one, and not many have the ability to gel a team who will play for each other and the manager.

If you were at the game, you would have seen it. Maybe years to come, as we all know managers will move on at some point; for now, we all must back him.

07 Aug 2026 02:01:17
Rafael rumour lingering.

Ausman2

1.) 07 Aug 2026 10:09:26
Like one of my trumps.

He hasn't returned to training. So let him rot and not play all season. Unless he learns his lesson.

Don't think Namecheck useful at all, tbh. No more make do. More make progress. I'd ditch all strikers and keep DCL for back up.

DCL will not stay fit again, as much as last year, and to improve. We need better. He will benefit from fewer minutes.

You got to see 2 as upgrades, Baz, even if Wilson is flattering to deceive.
