I don't believe The 49ers have a clue what they're doing and suspect they're leaking these rumours to take the heat off Farke and themselves, buying time and have no real appetite to sack DF as he is their plyable yes man.
I think it's more likely they are struggling to find another sap that will accept their tight fisted ways but if it is true, which waiting for affirmative action from our owners is like pulling teeth, then a large majority of Leeds fans will be relieved Farke's stubborn ways and crazy substitutions are no more, wish him well and I'm sure he will soon find a new Championship job that suits his capabilities
Time will tell if the damage already done by the owners as well will mean we will face him in the Championship next season too.

* Because of their value. The lower table and champo teams are flogging players of lower quality than these for 25 mil+. Gnonto and Piroe should fetch 25 mil each.

Brentford will be a tough one and I’d be happy with yet another blood and guts performance and a point. Although given their position it is winnable.

On the subject of dcl v Bamford I’d say Bamford is far better all round team player.
BUT while dcl is scoring I will leave him be.

I have to agree Aus about Bamford and DCL. What i liked about Bamford was his ball control, he held it up well and brought others into play, even scoring a worldy or two. DCL on the other hand is less skillful with the ball, but he does leap like a spring Salmon trying to get back its spawning ground.

Brentford are a very good team at home and fully agree Aus, there’s no disgrace in a point at their place, as important, is maintaining the energy levels and fierceness in the tackle that we have seen the last two games.
Clearly DCL and Namecheck are susceptible to injuries so the change of formation helped DCL in particular.
Especially when Namecheck is pressing with him (doing lions share of the work) it also brings Gaby and Bogle forward as creators when both are better than all of our current wing options at creating chances. Need another battering ram in January to supplement CF position.
Just amazed it took six losses in a row before the change in formation was made.
Play like second half of Liverpool for 90plus minutes and a positive result is very much possible.

The only part I can think of where Bamford was better than Calvet-Lewin was with his tracking back and defensive duties.
DCL in my opinion is a nightmare for opposition defenders, finds the spaces to be on goal point but rarely gets the delivery. Equally as good as Bamford in holding up the ball and laying off.
If you rewind back about 2 seasons ago when Bamford played nearly played half a season, there were not many posters on here who were commenting on what a great prolific striker he was, which is the impression I’m now getting.
Slag off what we’ve got now and praise what we had before seems the way to go. ?

Bamfords only downside was his wastefulness in front of goal.
Winning one on one, passing accuracy, pressing, tracking back and all round awareness is far superior to dcl. If dcl Dosent score he is a complete waste of time.

I don't think it's reasonable to compare Bamford playing against Championship defences with DCL playing against Premier League defences. If Bamford were still playing for us this season he'd struggle to make the same impact as last season.

We need to start offloading our deadwood. Although he can be useful we could prob get 25 for gnonto. 5 mez. 12-15 piroe. Offload Harrison and gel too if poss.

Not sure we need another CB and not certain how often a 10 is needed given the recent change in formation.
Plus a 10 requires the team to be technically astute to play patterns through your 10 I think we have proven we are not technically strong and a more direct approach is better suited to our current squad.
Given our mini resurgence with Namecheck and DCL up top together, and their known issues in terms of breaking down with Injuries I would put every single penny we had first and foremost in recruiting strong, fit powerful central strikers.
No coincidence that the likes of Haaland, Igor and Matetta, Welbeck sit as current highest scorers in the epl, power up top is what’s needed most, flair and technical players may come once we’re established in the division.
Whatever our misgivings if we lose one or both our two big lads up top together a long term injury we’re in serious do da.

The problem is with these players mentioned, their values has almost bottomed out.
Gnonto and Struijk for PSR reasons would be the only ones we could profit from, but the funds generated from their sales I doubt very much we would find better.
If it’s true that the club maxed out it’s spending this summer then I can only see a loan or two coming in or more than likely, no one.
Another reason to try to understand what Daniel Farke is up against in the very difficult season.

Some strange wishlists here. We've got 4 CBs plus Amps can fill in there, so don't need another. We've got 3 good Wingbacks plus Byram as an emergency backup, probably ok there. We've got 5 at DM or CM so ok there.
What we don't have is a decent AM or No 10, and our 2 main strikers both have dubious fitness histories. It'sin thoss two positiona where we have the grearest need to add to the squad.

Yesterday's turnround was more about attitude and individual performances than intricacies of formation. We started as 3:5:2 and went 2 down, so on come Willie, BA and Ao for Okafor, Gruev and Bijol and suddenly we're more a 4:3:3 and get back to all square. Then we go behind again, bring on Piroe for Amps and Bornauw for Bogle and level it up again at 3 apiece.
This was more about desire and will to win than anything else, put bluntly we wanted it more than them and everyone played a part. If we can retain that team attifude going forward we'll be just fine. Onwards and upwards MOT ?
PS I've said before our pressing need is for a No10/ AM, just maybe Ao could be the one to do that.

Agreeing with your post JR.
As for Ao playing number 10 it might possible, but experimenting with players out of their position when we are precariously placed near the relegation zone might be risky, plus the negative psychological effect on the player himself if he fails.
Farke has already been brave enough to switch formations during a game, i don’t think think he’ll be testing players out in positions that they are not usually familiar with.
Could he play as a attacking midfielder now, I’m not sure, for me he has all the attributes of midfielder, hard working and hard tackling.
I don’t see him going on mazy dribbling runs but he can ping the odd beaut in the net.
