Load of coaches getting sacked. I’ll put a stake in the ground. I love Farke. I want us to stick with him for the long term. But if we don’t? IRaola or glasner for me.
1.) 14 Feb 2026 05:30:40
As I’ve said before. If we survive then he will deserve a crack next season. But let’s not forget. Next season is about 6-12 not below. So will have to hit the ground running and buy wisely and improve our away form. First up if we stay up is the important positions to improve.
2.) 14 Feb 2026 11:23:43
It's about survival for 3 years Aus as until then we can't spend as much as long term EPL teams.
3.) 14 Feb 2026 13:33:50
I’d love Iraola if it came down to it.
Let’s see where Farke takes us this season first though.
4.) 15 Feb 2026 01:34:56
When we won the Championship and gained promotion under Farke most of us agreed that he'd earned the chance to. manage us in the PL, though surprisingly evem then, some were calling for his dismissal. By the same logic, I would argue that if he keeps us in the PL this year he would deserve to stay for next season.
I think it's unreasonable to set arbitrary targets for the next few seasons, because much will depend on our ability to attract players of the calibre necessary to start climbing the league. As long as the good ship LUFC is moving forwards the captain should stay in post.
5.) 15 Feb 2026 08:26:51
Disagree Canada. I and I’m pretty sure the owners will want improvement year in year out. So that Dosent mean another relegation battle. We survive we have to do one better which means above whatever and however many are in the drop zone. Generally about 12th from the get go.
6.) 15 Feb 2026 09:05:14
It’s not unreasonable to set improvement targets jr. pretty sure owners expect improvement although they have to aid that with the purchasers. Think we get about 125 mill for finishing about 16 ish. That’s enough for a gk, cb, lb and winger. Sell piroe, gnonto, Perri and that’s enough for a striker.
7.) 15 Feb 2026 10:03:47
I agree that targets should be set Aus, it's a common business practice. I also don't disagree with the 6-12 level you suggested, I just take issue with the words "not below". 8th would be good, 12th would be OK, but 13th or 14th would not be terrible.
I would not to finish as high as 6th at this juncture, because that would mean Europa league qualification for which I do not think we would be ready, see the impact that has had on Forest and Palace this season.
8.) 15 Feb 2026 21:29:14
It’s so easy to sit in one’s armchair a organize our club’s finances.
11 Feb 2026 21:43:57
Another great set of results for us tonight. Palace imploding from 2-0 at home against Burnley!
1.) 11 Feb 2026 22:09:58
JSL got 2 goals for Palace. Might've been a good buy if we could have made it work.
2.) 12 Feb 2026 06:59:44
Not your usual Burnley performance as they often fold when going behind. They've Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea to play plus some tricky away games so don't give them a realistic chance of a comeback but they have Forest at Turf Moor in April so they might do us a favour there
Dubravka saved them in the last minute from Sarr.
He's getting on but he's playing well in a poor team. Might be a good backup next season if it's decided Perri isn't as good as we thought and Darlow has his limitations.
3.) 12 Feb 2026 10:35:04
If Perri "isn't as good as we thought" and few would disagree, who did the due diligence on him. What was the due diligence? A minute and a half on You Tube?
Unless he was a panic buy then tracking half a dozen matches would have told them, he is no better than we have already.
4.) 12 Feb 2026 10:51:12
I've been impressed with Dubravka - would definitely welcome him at Leeds.
5.) 12 Feb 2026 11:24:52
Agree about Dubravka Alf, always liked him at Newcastle, and think they should have kept him rather than getting Ramsdale on loan.
6.) 12 Feb 2026 12:03:26
Apparently Perri wasn't first choice. Farke wanted one keeper, the club wanted a different keeper so Perri was a compromise. It's one reason why Farke, who is usually loyal to his picks, was so quick to drop him.
7.) 12 Feb 2026 14:44:05
Well he probably made the right decision switching to Darlow. Do you know who Farke's preference was? I tend to prefer keepers who have played in the Premier League. There are good ones elsewhere but it's finding them. Keepers have to be much more physical in the PL. A lot more protection for them in Europe and South America.
06 Feb 2026 22:02:08
Go Aus - knew your 3-1 was on point!
17 Jan 2026 10:03:26
Thread below got me thinking about our summer signings so thought I would rate them individually out of 10 rather than plucking a number out of the air for overall transfer window. Note I have taken price into account in ratings (was interesting to remind self of these! ) and done in chronological order. !
nmecha (free) 6.5
Bijol (£15m) 10
Bournauw. (£5m) 8
GG (£10m) 10
Longstaff (£12m) 5
Stach (£17m) 10
Perri (£16m) 2
DCL (free) 10
Okafor (£17m) 5’.5
Justin (£8m) 7.5
Average 7.5
Average (outfield only) 8.0
I think we had a very good window.
1.) 17 Jan 2026 11:37:35
Perri 2 is a bit harsh.
I would bump Nmecha to 7.5 considering his goal contributions:time played.
Otherwise I agree.
If the players keep this form or keep improving, we could make a lot of money in summer on selling people for upgrades. Obviously keep Bijol, GG, JJ, Stach and DCL.
Buy a better goalie.
2.) 17 Jan 2026 11:56:06
Great post, think I’d give Okafor an extra point but otherwise very good.
3.) 17 Jan 2026 12:31:19
Generous with Perri
And okafar needs to be more consistent as has the talent.
4.) 17 Jan 2026 15:02:57
Not saying Perri has been good, but 2 is a little harsh, I'd maybe give him 3.5. Also I'd bump Okafor up to say 8.5 and Justin to 9, and drop Stach to 9. I'll leave you to recalculate the average.

Years since I posted on this site but still read every day. My view is that we have performed well (or well enough) every home game - Everton, Newcastle, Bournemouth, spurs, wet span - 1.6 points per game - I’m happy with the performances and results. But away we have been dire (Fulham and wolves were ok but the rest, urgh) . 0.5 points per game. Problem is 3 of last 4 have been away and by the time we play Villa it will have been a month since a home game so no wonder we all feel s***e.
So the litmus test for me is Villa - if we come out roaring and fighting then I am still prepared to believe and to back DF. I we put in a limp and insipid performance then I will reluctantly just the Farke out camp as we can’t have our away malaise affecting home form.
And if we do put in a performance against Villa the follow on point is why we are so poor away. Surely it is just 11 blokes, a ball and a patch of grass so we do we set up with such a different mindset - go out isnd play n the same way away from home.
That’s it from me. Roll on Sunday so we can’t put the last month of away matches behind us.
1.) 15 Nov 2025 08:56:23
Nothing wrong with that post Matt.
Spam we were dire second half and since. Need to win as many home games as possible.
Happy to give him the villa game to prove us doubters wrong. Break a leg Farke.
2.) 15 Nov 2025 10:53:09
My views are, and I stand by this, if Farke leads us out at villa, we are relegated.
He should have gone a long time ago and if he starts arronson over James or Gnonto then I would sack him regardless of result.
3.) 15 Nov 2025 10:56:23
Welcome back Matt, I agree with all of your post. I do feel also at this home game against Villa, a big effort and performance is required. I believe most fans can deal with a loss, it’s just the performance and the players being braver than they have shown to be at most of our away games especially.
The Brighton and Forest games were difficult to stomach in the sense of having more of a ago at our opponents instead of being to frightened to make a mistake.
It does feel a very long time since we last played at Elland rd, hopefully Farke and his players can put up a display worthy of a Leeds United team in the Premiership.
4.) 15 Nov 2025 21:27:07
Nice to hear from you again Matt. Glad you are doing well.
5.) 16 Nov 2025 01:55:04
It's a thumbs up from me for that Matt. Villa will be tough, but I think we can get sonething from that game ahead of 3 where we'll likely get diddly s##t. Watched DJ playing for Wales tonight, and whilst it was only against Lichtenstein, he did look more like the DJ of old.
Let's hope he plays instead of Baracus and gives the Villa full back s hard time. ?.
6.) 16 Nov 2025 06:42:14
Welcome back from me, too, Matt! Great return post 'n' all, which makes you a keeper imo! ?.
7.) 16 Nov 2025 06:46:17
It would be a welcome sight to see DJ start, JR!
He does offer on top of his attacking ability all of the positive aspects of BA's play; high energy, great press, up and down the pitch, defensive support, so will be a big plus!
8.) 16 Nov 2025 06:54:49
Jr. you think Farke will drop ba?
James knows he ain’t good enough for prem league that’s why he is either injured or rubbish.
The only positive v villa is they don’t score much so a sneaky 0-0 although unlikely is possible.
9.) 17 Nov 2025 01:23:31
James not good enough for PL not sure about that yet, but he is better than BA, and a changd is as good as they say.
10.) 17 Nov 2025 12:38:55
Really jr? Check his stats out. See how that goes. My opinion. He knows his limitation. And it ain’t prem league.

Yes, Ausman, I agree. Rugby Union always used to have possession statistics and territory, and I was much more interested in territory, as I would be with football. I would much rather the opposition have the ball in their defensive third than we do in ours. Plus, we thrive on chaos and energy more than others, so I am not saying just toss it up to DCL and hope, but get the ball to him in a structured way, get good close support to him, and we will thrive.
I don't think anyone will cope with our physicality and intensity if we deploy it in the right way. Nmecha up with DCL, please.
28 Feb 2026 10:35:39
Agree, Amps throws a couple yards short. Only time they cause problems is when Bijol is playing, because he wins every first header to flick on.
13 Feb 2026 21:49:47
Spuds because they think they are a big team. No chance. I have no axe to grind with Archie or Cree who both tried their hardest and performed well for Leeds while here and left for good logical reasons. Can’t hate them trying to progress their own personal careers.
09 Feb 2026 13:09:02
Feels like “try before you buy”. Don’t think he is really for this season (or next few months at least) . If he gets up to speed and has the atttitude and fitness and shows what Farke needs on the training pitch then we buy him for next year.
Added bonus in that case that he might be useful in the run in too. If he doesn’t cut the mustard then the search for a CAM who will fit DF’s needs goes on.
04 Feb 2026 17:19:24
I’m with Aus. 3-1 I am happy with, both as a prediction and of course as an outcome.
