LeedsITK, so any updates on Harry Wilson deal to Leeds you stated would be announced (by end of this week) ?
And is he after 2, 3 or 4 year deal? A decisive element in who he eventually chooses to sign for surely in coming days, weeks?
Other clubs such as say Villa, Everton, or still remaining at Fulham with their new coach now announced not possibilities for Wilson?
1.) 20 Jun 2026 14:53:37
End of the week is usually Sunday night, isn't it? New week at work Monday, and then weekend. Except for you lazy old retired gits, when every day is a holiday.
2.) 20 Jun 2026 15:19:12
Lol Aus, but isn't a working day in Ausland deciding on how many prawns to put on the barbie? ?
3.) 20 Jun 2026 15:22:44
Aus, "End of week" generally refers to Friday 5pm in a professional setting.
Or weekend in a personal context.
Anyways, let's be generous and say end of week actually means next week, lol. ?
Have a feeling even next week the Harry Wilson saga will not be concluded..
4.) 20 Jun 2026 15:35:28
Harry Wilson is still contractually a Fulham player til June 30, so anyone who expects him to sign for us or anyone else before then is likely to be disappointed, and, since Fulham are still hopeful he'll sign a new contract with them, I doubt they'll be minded to release him early from his current contract.
I'm not expecting any final decision til after June 30, and he'll have offers to consider besides ours, such as from Villa or Everton, etc. It may be by the end of the week, but which week is still to be decided.
5.) 20 Jun 2026 15:41:13
Another, very good, entirely logical post from you, JR. ? Top man.
6.) 20 Jun 2026 16:42:59
We literally officially announced Nmecha two weeks before his Wolfsburg contract expired last summer.
7.) 20 Jun 2026 16:43:29
And the end of the week is a Sunday, not Friday. Don't know if you've seen a calendar recently.
8.) 20 Jun 2026 17:08:21
Players can sign for a new club before their current contract ends. That won't make any difference.
4yr is what I have heard.
9.) 20 Jun 2026 17:22:47
Waccoe,
Thing is, there were 2 seasons of bad injuries, 2023 to 2025, for Nmecha.
So, I doubt his club, Wolfsburg, had offered him a new contract to stay.
Wilson, however, is, according to some, wanted by multiple clubs, including his own current club, Fulham, to whom he is still contracted.
So, there are choices and decisions to be made, that possibly might take time to resolve/ decide into July rather than "end of this week".
So, I fully agree with JR on the more likely timeframes, imo, re Wilson decisions.
And I still have some doubts he even signs for Leeds at the end of it.
10.) 20 Jun 2026 17:26:09
Wacco, do Leeds United ever make signings at weekend? Hmmm.
..Anyways, let's see what happens next week (if anything) . ?
11.) 20 Jun 2026 17:40:21
4 year contract, Alf! Till he is 33, at £100k plus a week. Great deal for him.
Wow. That would be a clincher.
12.) 20 Jun 2026 17:53:20
Helpful hint, Saturday and Sunday are known, pretty much universally, as the weekend, then the new week starts Monday.
13.) 20 Jun 2026 18:03:11
We could sign Wilson before the end of his contract (big if) if Fulham agree, but I'd not hold my breath. Signing Nmecha before the end of his contract with Wolfsburg last season would have required their concurrence, which clearly we must have got.
14.) 20 Jun 2026 18:37:30
What JR said ..
15.) 20 Jun 2026 23:01:40
"We literally officially."
Who's the new numpty in town?
16.) 21 Jun 2026 06:40:37
Dunno why you're fighting this talk so much, tbh, Baz! Let's go back to the top line: "rumours", and you're actually disputing "rumours"!
And, before you hop on to arguing the "ITK" part of the lad's name - you are called Viduka - should we be disputing that with you too?
17.) 21 Jun 2026 08:51:17
No expert, but my understanding was that in England, players can sign pre-contract agreements with a new club in the last 6 months of their deal (for international transfers) and last month of their deal (for domestic transfers) .
ie, nothing stopping Wilson from signing a pre-contract deal now that comes into effect July 1st.
18.) 21 Jun 2026 16:25:58
That's correct, MM.
04 Jun 2026 13:04:14
Leeds United linked with signing Charleroi and Algeria midfielder Yassine Titraoui.
Marseille also believed to be interested as are ahem blooming surprise surprise Sunderland.
We've seen this movie last summer. So will it be a Non or a Oui?
Baz Rating of Likelihood 5/10.
1.) 04 Jun 2026 16:45:06
Hull may be in the mix as well, but I agree, I don't think he'll end up at ER. The Humberside press is also linking Hull with Delap, but his wages, £100k per week, won't fit into their structure.
2.) 05 Jun 2026 01:35:39
Have Sunderland got more than us to spend again this window?
Obviously, they have euro as a carrot.
01 Apr 2025 02:37:14
with just 1 win in 5 and pressure right on
Reports today that Paraag Marathe offered Farke the opportunity to bring in a new number 1 replacement for GK Illian Meslier in Jan window
Farkey turned this offer down from Marathe.
Marathe's perplexed face at end of the game in the stadium following the latest Meslier debacle vs Swansea makes one wonder just how muchhe now trust Farkes judgment.
IMO Board need to pull rank on Farkey this week and insist that Mes is dropped now . but I am not sure whether they have the bottle to do so.
BUT given this Meslier replacement offer revelation its now more and more difficult to forsee Farke being our manager next season promoted or not under Marathe and Co.
1.) 01 Apr 2025 09:58:21
It’s not an unfair perspective in all honesty this one, Baz. The new information that came to light in the last 48, if to be believed (! ) , does put a slightly different light on things as they stand. If it is true, then you’re right, it could be the decision that costs Farke his best and financed shot at the PL.
2.) 01 Apr 2025 13:58:40
Defo Brighty.
3.) 02 Apr 2025 00:57:33
Where did you hear that Baz?
4.) 02 Apr 2025 07:57:28
It’s been covered by several online outlets MoT. Not sure about the British rags tho, as I don’t get to see them.
5.) 03 Apr 2025 11:34:39
If that's the case, then it makes perfect sense why Farke didn't blame meslier; because doing so would be admitting his own mistake and, like farke of not, he is arrogant when it comes to his tactics/ ideas. We saw that last season with rutter/ Piroe playing out of position.
6.) 03 Apr 2025 15:56:21
Looks like truth to the speculation of my inintisl post above! .
Mes dropped ( ie Marathe sent heavies around to Farkey re must drop Meslier immediately!? )

* Tea towel home kit spoiler alert
I adore most and have many of Leeds United kits especially the kits from the 70s and 90s and the Bielsa Pablo Raphinha era.
However, I have just seen the promo on LUFC website for official home kit. It is indeed the tea towel kit. Ugh.
22 Jul 2026 13:11:21
Here's a Baz Predictor Double for you lovely peeps.
1) Leeds are not going to sign a striker this window (and Joel Piroe will see out his final year of his contract) .
And
2) Leeds very regrettably have decided that Lucas Perri will remain as its number 1 gk this seez and will only try to sign a number 2 back up gk (not a number 1) .
Concerning on all fronts.
I hope I am proved wrong, but don't think I will be.
1.) 22 Jul 2026 14:42:46
Disagree 1. Possibly 2.
Not ideal in the 2 category unless he grows some balls, he can stop.
2.) 22 Jul 2026 14:46:06
Agree, Baz, that Piroe will see out his contract whether we buy another striker or not.
Re keepers, we've been linked with so many but several have already gone elsewhere. The Suzuki interest is treading water and, according to the YEP, the asking price for Trafford is £50m. I don't think either of those are viable as it stands.
3.) 22 Jul 2026 14:58:30
I really hope you are right, Aus, about Leeds United signing a striker this summer seez.
..But really dont think this ownership will.
4.) 22 Jul 2026 15:01:02
Indeed, Dune, there's as much chance of either you and I signing for LUFC as Leeds United signing Trafford. Never happening.
5.) 22 Jul 2026 15:24:43
1. Will we sign a new (additional) striker possibly, but Piroe will see out his contract cos he's unlikely to find a new club willing to pay what he already gets, tho a loan with LU paying a big lump of his salary might be do-able.
2. Perri will be staying, but we will sign a new GK, and which one ends up as No1 or No2 remains to be seen.
Certainly we won't be signing Trafford at £50M, nor will anyone else, but if MC lower their asking price, he may go somewhere else. We could possibly sign him on loan, but any option or obligation to buy would come with a big price tag.
6.) 22 Jul 2026 15:48:35
Why don't you go for a hattrick, Baz, and forecast that tomorrow is Thursday!
Piroe has said numerous times that he wishes to stay and fight for his place.
We will not [cannot] sell Perri for now, until we have signed (if we are even planning to) a new keeper, now that Mes and Darlow have gone. Pretty sure had Darlow stayed, Perri would likely have been moved on instead.
I would add, is Perri as bad as everyone makes out? He did well in the cup games. His distribution is questionable, but that has plagued all of our keepers for the last decade.
I'd say there is an equal chance of them both going or both staying, frankly.
7.) 22 Jul 2026 15:56:50
Interesting post JR.
For me, the gk and striker situ this window will play a large part in the success of our seez.
8.) 22 Jul 2026 16:05:52
Ani, Piroe saying he wishes to 'stay and fight for his place' is polite speak for 'I am seeing out my contract', and Farke never plays him, doesn't rate him at EPL level.
So we need another striker, do we not?
But.. Will Leeds sign another Ani in your esteemed opinion?
As for the keeper situation..we shall see.
9.) 22 Jul 2026 19:24:39
Baz, I don't think we will sign another striker. Not that you can ever score enough goals, but in truth, it wasn't a pressing issue last season. We were midtable in that department. I reiterate, we could always score more goals, but imo the club will be focused elsewhere.
The main focus at the moment appears to be reducing player numbers. [and subsequent costs].
10.) 22 Jul 2026 20:55:55
Baz, I disagree with your initial post 100%.
The club actually said they would be concentrating on attacking options this pre season.
We'd be totally gambling going into next season with just DCL and Nmecha as Piroe is definitely going elsewhere.
11.) 22 Jul 2026 21:18:03
Yes, Corkey, they may well have stated that..
..Harry Wilson is defo a very good start on the attacking front recruitment. Now for a cf, hopefully, but I still wouldn't bet on the Leeds United owners and recruitment dept getting a cf.
12.) 23 Jul 2026 10:04:53
As per usual, your predictions will very likely flop, Baz.
I can definitely see an incoming number one keeper, for a starter. Piroe will leave, and no new striker, but possibly a new winger and an attacking midfielder.
13.) 23 Jul 2026 11:26:05
As I said, Op, I hope I am wrong. We shall see.
Yet you agree with me that there will be no new incoming striker.
Piroe will leave, you say? Hmm. I think it will be you, Op, who will be flopping, as usual. ?
19 Jul 2026 00:59:18
Well that was one helluva ride!
A ten goal thriller in Miami!
World Cup 2026. Bronze medal ? match
England 6 goals vs France 4
Really enjoyed the marvellous Bellingham goal, and well done Saka on his hattrick.
Great goals too
I expect the WC final of Spain vs Argentina is going to be a right entertainment fest too
All in all a thoroughly very memorable very entertaining WC2026. ? ?
Bravo all.
1.) 19 Jul 2026 06:39:53
You're not running for Mayor in here, Baz. You don't need to bang the agenda drum. We know you've enjoyed the tournament, and good for you.
Personally, think it's been the biggest pile of gash since the last one over there, and it should not be held there again for at least 70 years.
2.) 19 Jul 2026 06:41:26
Agree re 3rd place game. Defies logic and normality but hey hoo. Great entertainment.
Hoping Spain smash the argies.
An average World Cup for me. Had its monuments like cape Verdi. But not memorable.
3.) 19 Jul 2026 08:29:19
Don't know what to think of that match, a result of 6-4 seems odd in any football match.
Where were France in the first half? They may as well not have been on the pitch, playing like a second-string England B team.
I've never really valued the third and fourth place in the World Cup, it's not the Olympics, it's about winning, and that's it.
The only thing I saw in that game that convinced me that Tuchel got his tactics wrong against Argentina was that he should've brought Saka and Rashford on rather than going defensive for the last 25 minutes or so.
Crap World Cup held in a country that should be nowhere near our beautiful game.
4.) 19 Jul 2026 09:17:52
A performance that showed what could have been as OP said, Saka and Rashford could have made the difference against Argentina. At least the players of both teams put on a show in the game nobody is bothered about, so all credit to them.
And the players have a bronze medal to show for their efforts, which might not mean much to most, but after that game it will to them.
5.) 19 Jul 2026 09:44:12
Saka last game before 3/4 was average at best. Good he played well v France, but imo deserved to be dropped.
But Tuchel was at fault for losing v Argies. Playing 6 defenders when we were well on top.
6.) 19 Jul 2026 09:55:39
Fret not, Brighty and OP.. The WC will be back in USA before you know it ..probably another 4, max 5 World Cups.
Peculiar, and a great shame you didn't enjoy it at all, fellas.
AIMO.
7.) 19 Jul 2026 09:57:28
Fully agree, LUFCfeath. Good post.
Agree, Aus. Cape Verde were definitely one of the highlights of this WC. Bravo to them. ?
8.) 19 Jul 2026 12:09:33
Every week in the PL we'd see Saka go down the right wing til about 5-10 yds from the line, then cut in and deliver killer crosses or shots with his favoured left foot. Up to now, whenever he's played in this World Cup, he's hardly ever done that, but last night he did it frequently, and the French left backs couldn't handle him.
Why he's not played like that earlier, we'll never know.
9.) 19 Jul 2026 12:13:22
I think you not enjoying the tournament is on you, Bright. The rest of the world enjoyed it.
Terrific stadiums and an amazing country and great games.
10.) 19 Jul 2026 12:29:09
Probably is, Mighty, and I have no grievance at all with that statement. Don't think I'm alone in it tho?
The game, per se, is one of opinion, and that is mine; I will freely admit to having a dislike for the Americanisation of many things globally.
I will be interested to see how FIFA intend to manage the effect of political influences at play this tournament, and the 100's of billions £s of revenue generated from it.
Will it be used to further the game in less developed countries? Will UEFA and the FA leave the organisation, and will others follow suit?
11.) 19 Jul 2026 12:53:41
It's not an amazing country. I've been there many times. It's a dump. The stadiums are amazing. People sickenly horrible brainless and it was an average tournament. Said my piece ?
12.) 19 Jul 2026 13:30:42
It's been a good WC but far from a great one.
Don't get "terrific stadiums" quote? I couldn't give a toss how the stadiums are, as I'm watching it on television. What's happening on the pitch is of more importance to me.
13.) 19 Jul 2026 13:49:07
Agree, Corkey, that of course what is happening on the pitch is far more important, but I still far prefer for it to be played in a magnificent stadium also. Visually, it's more pleasing.
14.) 19 Jul 2026 15:00:50
The USA are already bidding for the 2038 event.
15.) 19 Jul 2026 15:04:45
So then, in three tournaments' time, Ani.
My four tournos were a slight underestimate.
16.) 19 Jul 2026 19:35:58
The stadiums are a real mixed bag; no doubt they look spectacular, but having frequented many of them in New York, Philly and Boston (Miami and Chicago, to a lesser degree) , they are horrendous to sit in.
Many have no roofs, and open corners, which means you are absolutely cooking in summer, and it's a near death experience in winter. I literally was stuck to my seat in Boston, in the middle of January, once!
17.) 19 Jul 2026 20:01:23
Ausman - America has some of the most diverse and gorgeous scenery and natural wonders on the planet. You can take the best scenery from every country and put it all into one place. From the coast to the Rocky Mountains, the Sierra Nevadas, the deserts, the unique red rocks and geology.
18.) 19 Jul 2026 21:28:49
As Morecambe and Wise might have said to Tuchel: "You played all the right players but not necessarily in the right order".
19.) 20 Jul 2026 06:28:06
On that you are 100% correct, Mighty. Visited many, and Yosemite particularly, is the most beautiful place I've ever seen! The natural beauties of USA are undisputed.
19 Jun 2026 02:04:01
Was Thomas Christensen a tad underated as Leeds United manager?
I thought he was fairly good at LUFC and he is also doing very well as international manager of Panama for past 6 plus years now with 48% win rate plus qualified for the current World Cup finals.
Then we have Jesse Brenty Marsch (OPs fave) . Who was mediocre at best at LUFC but we have to acknowledge is doing pretty well with Canada 6 nil tonight in WC albeit vs 9 men.
Then the marvellous Marcelo Bielsa who was a superb successful talisman for Leeds United and has various degrees of success with international teams Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.
It will be interesting to observe which of Marcelo, Brenty and TC go furthest in WC Finals 2026.
1.) 19 Jun 2026 07:38:31
Will it?
I'm personally not bothered who goes further.
2.) 19 Jun 2026 10:25:59
Well, from my perspective, I do feel the lesser cosch of the 3, Brenty, will be the one likely to go furthest in this WC (with Canada) .
I do hope that Leeds legend Marcelo Bielsa has at very least a relatively successful WC with Uruguay.
In what may well be Marcelo's final gig in football.
3.) 19 Jun 2026 12:23:32
One goal after Qatar went down to 10, and another 3 after they went down to 9, one of those an OG. Good, but not that good, but will prob earn them 2nd place on gd.
4.) 19 Jun 2026 13:21:52
Yep, agreed, JR.
5.) 19 Jun 2026 16:29:57
People here so up after that result, they have no clue Canada beat a pub team and nothing better.
Last 32 is all I'd expect tbh. I think Swiss game will bring the realization of Marsch actual level.
6.) 19 Jun 2026 18:02:19
Lol, yep, Canada, many of my wife's family live in Toronto, and they are absolutely getting soooo uber giddy after that 6 nil "pub team thrashing".
If Canada finish second in the group, I think they will very likely play South Korea in the last 32.
So, imo, Canada would defo have a good opportunity and chance of progression to the last 16, which I believe would be their best ever WC so far.
7.) 19 Jun 2026 18:22:09
* Actually, everything Canada has achieved in this WC2026 is their best ever.
8.) 19 Jun 2026 20:14:54
They'll likely lose to Switzerland, but their GD advantage over Bosnia is +9, so they'll still get 2nd. Can't see them getting beyond last 32 tho.
9.) 20 Jun 2026 11:53:10
gd doesn't come into it.
08 Jun 2026 14:37:43
Is anyone more than a tad nervous that Leeds United this season will do (considerably worse) than last season's 14th place and 47 points in EPL?
We have seen it happen very recently before with Leeds United
Namely the huge drop off from mercurial Marcelo's superb 20/21 season of 9th place and 59 points to follow in 21/22 season with a very disappointing perilous 17th and 38 points
For me Marathe, Farkey, Underwood and the rest of recruitment team must get the recruitment spot on this summer.
Most especially in
1) goalscoring players
A striker, wingers and an attacking midfielder. I have a feeling we might not get as many goals again from DCL this season
And
2) The goalkeeper situation for me will again become a huge concern if the club can't persuade Darlow to sign a new contract.
As we then must get it right in signing a quality reliable number 1. Perri is not anywhere near good enough to be our number 1 in EPL.
1.) 08 Jun 2026 15:47:47
I've said before that this season will be trickier. Fewer teams will come to ER going for 3 points. I.e. more will be happy leaving with a draw. That means we need to achieve more on our travels. Like you say, for that to happen, we need quality additions in key positions, and I'd add additional strength in depth.
Are both achievable at this stage of our development? I'm not sure, so next season will be very reminiscent of this season, I guess, yes.
2.) 08 Jun 2026 16:23:53
I agree, regarding DCL he might not score as many next season as we may not get as many penalties. Also, he has remained fit for the majority, despite his iffy injury record. As I have said before, no goals from such as Piroe or James when they have had game time, not much, I know, but still disappointing.
So signings capable of hitting double figures or just below is a must. A tough season ahead for Coventry and Ipswich, but they won't be relegation fodder, only Hull look certs to go down for me, so our recruitment has to be spot on.
3.) 08 Jun 2026 16:29:29
We will defo need more than just the 2 measly away wins we achieved this seez, Brighty.
I think we were in bottom 3 of away points accrued for the season, which simply must be improved upon!
More goalscoring players, more pace and more guile in our starting line up / squad, or it's going to be another attritional season.
Think this may well be Farke's last season at Leeds United, whatever happens.
4.) 08 Jun 2026 20:03:31
I'm nervous this season. I was nervous last season, and the one before that, and the one before that. For one reason or another, I've been nervous most seasons for the past 50 years - that's the life of a Leeds United fan. The recruitment team needs to be on their game this summer, and more firepower up front is a must.
The promoted teams will all be splashing the cash like Sunderland did last time around, and we must not relax and let them outbid us to our preferred targets.
5.) 08 Jun 2026 20:04:38
Believe Sunderland and ourselves have shown the blueprint for promoted sides surviving in the EPL, bigger, stronger players, well drilled and organised, not to lose.
Actually, believe the three promoted teams are weaker than the three relegated teams from last season, but, in my opinion, only Coventry is capable of springing a surprise without some major player investment for the others.
We were fortunate overall with injuries last season, but limped across the line, and we need a minimum of four or five better additions to even match last year's points haul.
There may be another West Ham scenario with so many teams playing in Europe. I've heard Brighton are planning almost separate squads for playing in Europe and the EPL.
I see us being OK, but it will be just as difficult as last season, and we urgently need more goals and creativity in the team if we are to stay up.
6.) 08 Jun 2026 20:46:48
Good posts, JR, and Class.
We all agreed we need more firepower.
As regards nerves.
I never used to get nervous pre season for Leeds United anytime in the 60s and 70s.
Even in the 81/82 season I wasn't nervous, and it was an utter surprise that Leeds United were relegated despite knowing we needed to sign a quality striker (instead we blew a record
£ 930, 000 on woeful winger Peter Barnes) .
The first ever season I had real genuine fear for Leeds United.
was 2003/04 season.
I really dreaded that season, thinking we were definitely going down before the season even commenced.and so it proved.
The 2007/ 08 season is a haze for me that I tend to completely gloss over.
The dreaded feeling was back in 2022/23 season (after the very disappointing near relegation 21/22 season) .again relegation happened!
And again some fear in 2025/26 season.thankfully I was wrong this time, and we ended staying up fairly comfortably!
7.) 09 Jun 2026 07:13:38
Bit early for panicking even for Leeds fans. Maybe wait a while, and see what happens over the summer before worrying too much?
8.) 09 Jun 2026 13:50:34
I'm always worried preseason regardless.
I'm actually looking forward to the next season, partly because I just like being a fan and following the team, but mostly because I can see the current setup works on the whole, and I'm pretty optimistic we're on the cusp of something better.
I think if we can just keep our second half level, it'll be a better season.
Fixtures out next week!
9.) 10 Jun 2026 11:05:22
Small wager that our first match is away at one of the current top 6.
10.) 10 Jun 2026 11:12:41
Take our chance, JR. All their players are probably out of sync because of the World Cup, hopefully.
Bazooka_Viduka4's rumour replies
13 Aug 2026 09:45:16
£ 5 million is okish for Joffy in his final year. He has talent and may be quite useful for Hull at EPL level.
12 Aug 2026 08:10:06
We very much need Bornaux. We very much need 4 central defenders in the squad, especially as we are at our best with 3 CBs in the starting line up.
Bornaux should look to force his way in as a starter, not a sub, with LUFC, and be told he is staying.
Keep him! .. No nonsensical loan deals please.

Saw some recent quotes from Hull manager that they defo want to sign Joffy ..
