Harry Wilson arriving in Leeds in the morning on a private jet from Cardiff.
Everything is already signed, so depends if the club are happy to announce it on a Sunday or will hold off till early next week.

Vidic said he was amazed that Alex Ferguson personally met him at the airport and carried his case to the car. His initial reaction was that they really want me. Like it or not, you sometimes have to stroke their ego. It's not desirable, but sometimes a good option.
It's over four hours from Cardiff to Leeds. No direct trains, and if you're not careful, he could be on the Trans Pennine Express. If he is, then he might not be here before the end of the transfer window. ?

2 hours, Corkey! You've never been on a train from Cardiff to Leeds. 4 hours, more like it, even more on a Sunday. I also thought, why a plane from Cardiff? Not because of the cost, but because he lives in London. Yes, he has family in Wales, but in North Wales near where he was born, in Wrexham, not Cardiff, so strange but not impossible.
I've kept looking at a plane tracker website all day, but have not found any private jets from Cardiff to Leeds, so I'm still waiting to see.

It's pretty standard practice to fly players on private planes for transfers these days. I guess if you want a player to join then you want them in the best mood possible.
A contact at the airport confirmed Wilson was on the plane, JR. It's the most we will get, I feel.

If that's true, which I doubt because I think he will end up at Villa, then that's great news.
However, it raises the question of what sort of player we can afford and attract.
We're not in Europe, and we survived relatively comfortably, but we're not big hitters at the moment.
Our recruitment last year was, in the main, very good. DCL, Bijol, Gud, Nmecha, Okafor, Stach were excellent signings. Bournauw, not sure. Perri has his critics, but I'm not as down on him as some posters. The PL is very different from the leisurely style of play in Europe. It takes some time to come to terms with the physicality and speed of English football.
Hopefully, we retain KD and try to bring Perri on.
What puts it into context of where we are in the pecking order is the sums being asked for AMs.
Anderson, Gibbs White, and Wharton are all being quoted at £100m. We need one, but we're looking at £20m to £30m.
It's not all about the big names with the high valuations. It's finding the unrealised gems in the various leagues. We did it very well last year, and hopefully, the recruitment team will repeat the success they had 12 months ago.
We have a limited budget, and we need to keep spending it wisely. If they do that, we'll stay up and progress.

Agree, Dune! I'd add that at Villa, he'd be looking at considerable bench time, I think, whereas with us, if he retains form, he'd likely be starting. It depends on his personal priorities, but he wanted to come in January.

Touchy, aren't you, JR? Plenty of people get an inside scoop of goings-on at the club. There are 10+ examples from just the last few seasons of players none of us had ever heard of being talked up on Leeds forums before any reporter had them.
