Ramz has gone to Burnley. £6.5m plus £2m add-ons. Better than anything Valencia would offer.
1.) 01 Sep 2026 16:15:22
But only if he plays X games.
Hopefully, not an Elliot situation.
2.) 01 Sep 2026 16:33:54
Sly Spurts says 8.5m of add ons! Lol! Got a bit excited at that!
3.) 01 Sep 2026 16:44:42
Leeds Utd say he has "joined Burnley on a season-long loan, which will become a permanent transfer next summer, based on the winger making an achievable number of appearances for them". The fee will be £6.5M, possibly rising to £8.5M with add ons.
4.) 01 Sep 2026 16:45:45
Do did I Bright, but just ignored it. No link to promotion, which is good because I think they'll struggle.
5.) 01 Sep 2026 16:51:02
Is there a loan fee, Dune?
6.) 01 Sep 2026 16:59:27
Don't think so, Baz. Just an obligation, and an achievable appearance-based add-on. Under the circumstances, it's about as good as we could get.
7.) 01 Sep 2026 17:11:12
Cheers Dune for info.

Rumours that Valencia have cooled on Ramz and that Burnley are in talks for a deal.
They're in for a few players at the moment to strengthen the squad but look like Fleming is on his way out.
Lille have moved on from Fleming to Ueda and agreed a €15m fee but Ipswich have made a bid for the Burnley striker. Not accepted but talks under way.
31 Aug 2026 16:45:36
Fleming has said he wants to stay in the Premier League and is pushing for a move. Ipswich have made an offer which hasn't been accepted yet and are in talks with Burnley.
1.) 31 Aug 2026 17:25:23
I think he ends up here.
2.) 31 Aug 2026 17:57:10
I hope you're right, Waccoe. If it's true, we've taken a long time to get there, and I don't think his price will have dropped. Fleming's stance all along had been to stay in the PL.
3.) 31 Aug 2026 19:56:50
Looks like Mudryk is off elsewhere, so if we're not careful, we'll end up with some quality added to the first team, but a much depleted squad, which is essential to survive in this league.
4.) 31 Aug 2026 20:29:25
According to other posts, Fleming is off to Ipswich for £17m. Another one gone.
5.) 31 Aug 2026 22:09:33
And they have a loan agreement in place with Tammy Abraham. Up to the player.
6.) 31 Aug 2026 22:13:59
No disrespect, and I am biased, but why would he choose Ipswich over Leeds? Surely we're a better prospect.
7.) 31 Aug 2026 22:55:15
If Ipswich have made an approach to him, and we haven't, then he'll choose them, simples. If we want him, and that's unclear right now, then digits need to be extracted PDQ!
8.) 01 Sep 2026 07:41:11
Nothing reported as agreed with Ipswich, just rumour still. Not over until the panic button has been hit 50 times!
11 Aug 2026 20:49:30
Quite a few posts beginning to appear.
One is that Hull are back in the market for Joffy. Hull are concerned that too many other clubs are interested and that although they wanted to leave the decision until later in the window they might have to bring that decision forward.
The other, if true, is that Bournauw will go to Hamburg on loan with no obligation to buy. If that is correct then we are bonkers. If he leaves we should make some money on him. If not, we've given in again.
1.) 11 Aug 2026 22:24:58
Might work in our favour if we can get a decent loan fee for him and then sell him for more than 5m after a strong season in the Bundesliga.
2.) 11 Aug 2026 23:36:50
Saw some recent quotes from Hull manager that they defo want to sign Joffy ..
Question is the transfer fee .. think it's going to be a somewhat underwhelming final figure.
3.) 11 Aug 2026 23:38:26
Bonkers indeed, Dune, re proposed Bornauw deal.. Very disappointing.
4.) 12 Aug 2026 06:54:52
5 for Jiffy. And min 12 for Born. Obligation to buy. Not option.
5.) 12 Aug 2026 07:28:36
Agree, Aus. £5m plus for Joffy and into double figures for Bournauw.
We've been through this no obligation to buy farce before. Wober, JH, Ramz, etc. None worked out to our advantage. If we don't get a decent offer for Ramz, keep him and use him as an impact player off the bench. That worked well in the Championship.
6.) 12 Aug 2026 08:09:34
He hasn't returned to training. So let him rot and not play all season. Unless he learns his lesson.
7.) 12 Aug 2026 08:10:06
We very much need Bornaux. We very much need 4 central defenders in the squad, especially as we are at our best with 3 CBs in the starting line up.
Bornaux should look to force his way in as a starter, not a sub, with LUFC, and be told he is staying.
Keep him! .. No nonsensical loan deals please.
8.) 12 Aug 2026 08:32:19
Agree re Bourn.
9.) 12 Aug 2026 10:46:56
Whilst 12 is a push for Bornauw, 10 is not unreasonable, but it should not be a loan deal. If he goes, we're going to have to replace him by laying out a similar amount of cash right now, and we should make the Hamburgers do the same to keep our books in balance. We should tell them it's 100% up front or no deal.
10.) 12 Aug 2026 11:21:36
Why loan Bornauw after such a good pre-season? We'll then need to replace him with someone better if we let him go, as replacing him with someone similar makes no sense.
For me, if he goes, we need to replace him with someone who can play CB and LB, so we get cover all-round. A left footed James Justin type player would be ideal, and give us that flex without having to buy 2 players.
James Justin was one of the players we bought last year that I didn't expect much from, but looked solid where ever he played on the pitch.
Does he have a left footed brother by any chance?
11.) 12 Aug 2026 12:06:23
Hugo Bueno at Wolves would be good, though he's more a dedicated LB.
12.) 12 Aug 2026 12:34:42
Didn't realise that Ramz hadn't turned up for training, Aus. Thought he was excluded and told to train on his own.
Just discipline him, and stop paying his wages until we get a sale at our price. Sounds like another Djed Spence clone.
13.) 12 Aug 2026 12:51:35
I wonder if, were we to sell Bornauw, do we really need a new CB to replace him. We need to replace him, no question, but it could be by buying another full back and having Justin/Ampadu/Creswell as the CB depth. That does not really solve the issue, as we'd need two new full backs, somewhere we've notoriously struggled to fill on both flanks. Indeed, Justin, Bogle and Gudmundsson are the best we've had on both sides for such a long time, perhaps even since Kelly/Harte.
Personally, I think the best move, if Bornauw wants to go, is sell him for £10m. Put that into a £4m bid for Davies from Spurs.
I get he signed a year extension, but that was before they bought Van Hecke, Senesi, Robertson. I get that they are looking to sell Spence and Romero, but at CB he'd be behind Van Hecke, Van de Ven, Danso and perhaps even Takai. At LB he'd be behind Udogie and Robertson.
We could offer him more minutes, certainly in the first season of a two-year deal, and the camaraderie of the Welsh lads with Rodon, James, Wilson, Ampadu.
Bornauw's had a good pre-season. Is that him resolved to trying to get in the lineup more, or putting himself in the shop window? Up to interpretation, I guess.
14.) 12 Aug 2026 13:31:30
Bornauw himself is pushing for the move, as he wants to be more than a backup, but Hamburg are skint and are only offering a low fee. Might end up being a loan if anything. If he does go, we are more likely to look at a versatile player who can fill in at the flanks as well as CB.
15.) 12 Aug 2026 13:52:15
The only way I'd do a loan for them is with a very aggressive obligation to Hamburg. E.g. £2m loan fee + £9m if you stay up. And they take his entire salary. All in, Leeds bring back £11m for him. They'll likely baulk at that. But that's where Leeds have to be. He's not even in the list of players we're actively looking to move. Far more, if the right offer comes in, he can go.
Regarding the game time as well, if he's having as good a pre-season as mooted and we keep playing 5 at the back, I'd expect the odd suspension and injury to give him plenty more opportunities than he had last season. Justin was used a couple times centrally, but feels more likely he's needed across at lb at times too.
16.) 12 Aug 2026 22:15:50
So much fantasy talked in here. Bornauw is going on loan, all about the loan fee now.
01 Aug 2026 19:00:42
Sam Byram appears to have gone and talks supposedly are taking place with BA because Farke wants to keep him. Haven't seen anything about Gruev and the club's position regarding offering him a new contract or selling him on.
He's well liked for all the things he does off the pitch apart from his playing ability. If we buy another midfielder, which I think we will, then maybe he or AO may go.
1.) 01 Aug 2026 20:34:24
I think Gruev is underrated. Is he as good as Tanaka in playmaking? No, but he's a better battler and has the ability to pull a great assist out of nowhere. He's also critical in that he's fully accepting of a squad role and honest minutes. That, and his exceptional contribution to the community, means I'd keep him over Tanaka.
I can see Tanaka getting itchy feet if he doesn't play as much next season. I think Gruev has a higher floor and lower ceiling. Tanaka has a low floor on an off day and a high ceiling.
Gruev also isn't on much and might accept similar terms or only a modest increase.
2.) 01 Aug 2026 20:53:08
I think we're both on the same page, Ealing. If we buy a forward-thinking midfielder, someone has to go. The return on AO would be so much better and improve our squad ratio.
3.) 01 Aug 2026 21:15:25
Am I the only one getting a tad twitchy with our recruitment progress?
By this Monday, just 4 weeks remain of the window, and just 3 weeks or so until the EPL season.
Our main striker, Dcl, is out injured currently, and Cairns is our number 1.
4.) 01 Aug 2026 21:58:36
Yes, it is squeaky bum time, Baz.
We probably decided we'd keep Darlow, but maybe not as no. 1.
I think that was a mistake.
Once he went, we were spending big bucks on a replacement.
The other mistake was that we'd get Wilson and Brandt on frees, which would free up money for elsewhere.
Wilson worked out, but Brandt didn't.
The conclusion is that we will have to spend more than we originally thought, as we need a LB cover, two keepers, a quality striker, and maybe a no. 10.
Last year was a good recruitment window, but this year isn't looking so good.
We have a decent squad, but need to add a bit more quality.
5.) 01 Aug 2026 21:59:07
Completely agree, Baz, we've sat on our hands again with Brandt!
No backup left back linked.
No keepers except Trafford linked.
Nothing happening on a 10 or a 9 to note!
Paixao linked (I'd take him) , but certainly not at EUR50m.
It's scarily quiet.
6.) 01 Aug 2026 22:43:57
Indeed, Dune.
I said at the time it was a 'disaster' that Darlow was leaving. The club should have given him a 3-year contract as a number 1, with a hefty pay increase.
Don't be surprised at all if we end up not signing Trafford for a number of reasons.
Not least, Citeh haven't signed a replacement, and won't authorise a sale until / unless they do recruit one.
Things could potentially get very messy.
7.) 01 Aug 2026 22:48:53
Indeed, Dave..
The Paxo link reeks of bs again.. A smokescreen for nowt, genuinely happening at the moment perhaps.
No LB link. No sign of a striker. Concerning.
Apart from seeking a keeper .. Are the 49ers done this window?
8.) 02 Aug 2026 03:32:38
Paxo didn't choose us the first time so why would he now. More wasted time.
I'd keep Gruev over Ao.
Bit torn with Ba. Ba is a bit like Amps for me, ok against lower prem teams but not good enough v the better teams. I know that's unpopular. Just the way I see it.
9.) 02 Aug 2026 08:03:19
Yes Baz, that was an excellent and valid point raised by Wigan Mally, wasn't it? Sits nicely in your scare mongering agenda too, tho you could at least give him the credit for it.
10.) 02 Aug 2026 08:51:02
Let's all remember that Underwood and co have 1 gear.
They are in the USA so can't possibly multitask.
11.) 02 Aug 2026 11:12:13
Good point, Mally, below.
12.) 03 Aug 2026 11:42:35
DCL doing well, scoring 2 goals, injured. Imagine if he is fit?

Hwang going to Schalke. Only one coming in tonight.
But can you believe it. Two private jets on the runway at Lyon waiting for Fofana to decide whether he takes the one on the left to Sunderland or the one on the right to Palace.
Can't decide, so has a medical at a private hospital in Lyon which either club can use but still undecided.
The owner of Sunderland flies out to try and persuade him to join them but still not convinced. Needs more time.
They don't need time. If they buy in to what you are then they sign and if they don't you move on.
1.) 01 Sep 2026 21:45:13
Sorry pal, but that is total b*******.
Imagine choosing a holiday abroad: You pick the nicest destination. If I'm a French geezer coming to England, I'm choosing South London over Sunderland.
2.) 01 Sep 2026 21:53:01
He doesn't have to live in Sunderland, Corkey, and there's plenty of nice places with an hour commute!
3.) 01 Sep 2026 22:00:14
Ok, Bright.
01 Sep 2026 15:46:05
Ramz is initial loan but obligation to buy.
01 Sep 2026 15:45:16
Ramz gone to Burnley. £6.5m plus another £2m add-ons. Initial loan but obligation.
29 Aug 2026 13:28:56
Forest in for Harrison Armstrong of Everton. £40m for a 19 year old midfielder. Prices are going through the roof.
1.) 29 Aug 2026 20:16:45
I really do believe it's the beginning of the end of astronomical prices.
Unsustainable.
2.) 29 Aug 2026 21:05:38
We were all saying that in the year 2000 when we signed Ferdinand. Or possibly more so in 2001 when we signed Seth Johnson!
28 Aug 2026 08:26:55
We seem to have players tied up to new contacts with the exception of Gruev, which seems strange as he's not on a comparatively big wage and has been a consistent squad member.
If he's not offered one is he likely to be a late sale or are we just letting him run it down?
1.) 28 Aug 2026 09:52:27
Hopefully, it's a case of we've sorted all the main starters in Rodon, Bogle, Ampadu and Aaronson so far this window.
Gruev is a clear backup, so there's just a little less urgency in it, but no less deserved for his role for me.
2.) 28 Aug 2026 11:40:48
Expect that Gruev is offered and signs a 2 year contract extension at some point in next month.
08 Sep 2026 07:49:34
We've been linked with him for several seasons, even when he was at Liege. Not sure we need another defensive midfielder unless someone is going to leave.
01 Sep 2026 21:47:14
If it had come earlier, and the offer was big enough, and we'd time to find an alternative, then I'd have been tempted. Okafor has his moments, but he's not got great stamina, and is prone to minor injuries, which keep him out for short periods.
01 Sep 2026 18:23:38
I like pace. It frightens defenders. However, I remember Steve Kindon at Burnley. He was big and quick, but could only run in a straight line.
Hopefully Bahoya can run at angles as well.
01 Sep 2026 17:56:07
He looked like he was going to Hull, but backed out, saying he'd make a late decision. If true, this is cutting it a bit fine.
01 Sep 2026 16:59:27
Don't think so, Baz. Just an obligation, and an achievable appearance-based add-on. Under the circumstances, it's about as good as we could get.
03 Sep 2026 09:59:49
Any news on how long Joe R is out for? That might change the stance on a CB, although there is the international break at the end of the month, which will help.
02 Sep 2026 08:11:41
The two big positives are the big improvement in the defence and the moving on of surplus players, often for money, rather than the usual loan.
Those deserve a 9/10.
The midfield has basically stayed the same.
The big disappointment is not getting in a striker where we are thin on the ground, especially as Piroe went.
There may be a free agent still available to cover that role, but I think we will have to handle the two we've got with care.
Overall 7/10.
01 Sep 2026 21:09:25
So am I, White man. I think he could have done a good job in that role, given the opportunity.
Hopefully he has a good season at Florentna and gets his career back on track. He deserves it because he's a great character and always gave his all.
01 Sep 2026 19:38:58
We were at 91% yesterday, so Willie and Ramz transfers should improve that, but we will be over 85% at the close of the window.
The only ones under yesterday were the big six, excluding Chelsea (although that might change with the Fernandez sale) , Sunderland, and the three promoted sides.
It will be interesting to see what the figures are tomorrow, especially Bournemouth, who were up at 125%. They might need a big late sale or one in January.
01 Sep 2026 18:33:32
The Italian window closes 4 hours before England, so if they've given the go ahead for Willie to go out on loan, they must be totally confident of getting at least one new signing in.
If not, we're very lean. Too lean.
