Reports that £8.5mill plus add ons agreed with Betis for Matteo.

That mob from Turkey interested in Mez. I personally, would not sell a dog turd to them, no matter what they offered.

Brightwhite

1.) 12 Jun 2025 13:19:26
TOTALLY AGREE Brightwhite!

2.) 12 Jun 2025 13:25:48
we don't tend to do business with that club for obvious reasons.

3.) 12 Jun 2025 13:40:07
Don’t think we will sell to them but. got to get rid of him. I’d terminate contract. Take the 5 mill hit and let him go on wherever.

4.) 12 Jun 2025 14:35:07
Talk if Cooper from the Blades but Petrovic from Chelsea might be a good option. Good loan last season and Chelsea have probably six keepers on the books and are looking for a new dining this Summer. They'll let someone go.

5.) 12 Jun 2025 16:23:55
problem is if you 'terminate'a contract you also have to pay the outstanding wages unless the player agrees otherwise so we don't gain anything other than losing a body. clubs (or players) can't just terminate contracts and not pay what was agreed or there would be no point in having a contract in the first place.

6.) 13 Jun 2025 00:28:19
Didn’t know that Alf.

06 Jun 2025 17:12:33
Strasbourg looking at Meslier.

Brightwhite

1.) 06 Jun 2025 20:51:07
Gatwick is the only direct flights I can find from UK, so I'm sure we can raise enough for a chauffeur on top the flight money.

2.) 07 Jun 2025 01:48:32
Excellent news. Take a loss on him if need be. Let him keep the gloves too. Just get rid.

06 Jun 2025 08:43:24
Manor is to be given a second chance at Spuds, if he wants it.

Brightwhite

1.) 06 Jun 2025 15:10:18
He would be mad to go back there. They'll just park him in the bench to rob the competition of a good player.

2.) 06 Jun 2025 15:24:05
Agree mot. Can’t see him there but not 100 he here either.

Rumours that we are chasing the signatures of BOTH Hamer and Buendia!

Brightwhite

1.) 30 May 2025 09:36:12
Buendia might have legs. Injuries a concern though ?.

2.) 30 May 2025 10:56:19
Leeds allegedly preparing a £16.8m bid for Buendia and Villa will not stop Emiliano leave the club.

3.) 30 May 2025 14:15:32
What’s your thought on injuries Alf? Is he good enough for top 12 prem?

4.) 30 May 2025 14:41:59
Hope we swerve both of em tbh.

5.) 30 May 2025 17:58:50
Avoid Hamer. Waste of money and better can be found in Europe.

6.) 30 May 2025 20:19:06
I would be concerned about Buendia due to the injury situation. Would be a big risk for us but just shy of £17m for the player he can be could b worth a risk IF we have suitable backup.

7.) 31 May 2025 07:44:18
I’m torn on Buendia. If he stays fit and Farke can reignite the talent he’s shown in the past then £17m is a deal but there are ifs in that statement. Hamer is a no for me, better team players out there.

A new Howard Wilkinson Legacy Project named WILKO92 has been set up to try and raise funds for a statue near Elland Road to honour the legacy of the last Englishman to win the top flight title.

The campaign, set up by a group of #lufc fans, is aiming to raise £140,000 to create a life-size statue of Howard Wilkinson that would proudly stand somewhere near the stadium.

Brightwhite

1.) 16 Jun 2025 21:36:02
What a good idea.

2.) 16 Jun 2025 22:35:39
Great idea, very sad the fans have to act before the club, if our board can build a new stadium the same board can recognise a true hero and legend with a statue.

3.) 17 Jun 2025 10:01:38
Bazza well ahead of call, he was calling for that a long time.

4.) 17 Jun 2025 10:21:38
In fairness though Chris I’ve been saying Cameron Diaz should have married me for over twenty years now, but at least this group are doing something tangible to make it happen.

5.) 17 Jun 2025 11:14:47
I think Chris and it’s only my opinion that Baz called for all sorts and banged the same drum constantly for about 100 different things per week so his views were probably ignored as even a cock ⏰ is right twice a day.

6.) 17 Jun 2025 11:31:21
True as that maybe Class, Baz was fairly vocal, constantly saying Wilko deserved better recognition.

7.) 17 Jun 2025 12:10:13
Nobody disagreed with him on that particular one tho CC. In fact, I think absolutely everyone agreed, and those of us on here long enough, also agreed with it well before Baz was terrorising the site.

8.) 17 Jun 2025 12:19:57
Wilko our greatest ever manager of course he deserves a statue or stand named after him. Not even a mural in the city. This is long over due.

9.) 17 Jun 2025 12:47:11
No, Brighty I not saying anyone here disagreed with him

I just saying he was always persistent with Wilko, always.

10.) 17 Jun 2025 14:05:25
I hesitate at people saying greatest ever. Although their opinion. I have an admin assistant ( me being the manager ) and she always says. Best tech best scones best Indian blah blah blah.
What you think PC Axe? Do you think we should ban the words best ever?

11.) 17 Jun 2025 15:42:48
Ausman, you are the best poster on here.

12.) 17 Jun 2025 17:54:29
He was nothing, if not persistent Chris, pal. With everything!

13.) 17 Jun 2025 18:32:08
About time too. Baz will be pleased!

29 May 2025 08:38:25
Super League anyone?
We don't need a break away creating anymore, as it's already in existence under the guise of the CL.
How many is it from England now taking part next season? 6? 7?
It's gone from being the pinnacle of the game in Europe to another watered down version of a great tournament.
And don't get me started on those EU minnows Chelsea actually celebrating their victory in The Lada Riva Conference Cubicle Cup! After all the dosh they've spent! Jokers.
World's gone mad ah tell thee!

Brightwhite

1.) 29 May 2025 09:38:02
World's gone mad alright Bright, and not just football ?.

2.) 29 May 2025 10:21:57
Club World Cup too. Zzzz.

3.) 29 May 2025 11:19:45
I did read somewhere that the myriad of meaningless football competitions and countless iterations to increase the number of games played, whilst causing a seismic eco killing global footprint across the world are in fact all form….

Part of our global commitment to bring football to more disadvantaged children in those far flung countries that nobody has ever even heard off, but that the respective UEFA or FIFA officials partner is hoping to pick up some really nice conflict diamonds.

Warms the heart it really does….

4.) 29 May 2025 16:52:42
You've all hit the nail on the head!

Football governing bodies clearly never heard the expression 'less is more'

5.) 29 May 2025 22:31:58
I cheered leeds on in champions leauge and we didn’t win the leauge the season before, I suggest anyone who enjoyed that season and that campaign shouldn’t be so forgetful or two faced to now citicise. He without sin cast first stone and all that.

Yes it’s been watered down yes maybe too much but if leeds won it we’d all be cheering.

6.) 29 May 2025 22:39:44
Club World Cup will only attract viewers from the fans of the teams teams in it. In my mind it will be a big flop. Can’t see so many neutrals interested in it.
I won’t be watching any of those games, got better things to do with my time and am not that desperate that I can’t take a 3 month break without football.

It’s more exciting when you have to wait longer.
Up yours, money grabbing football Fat Cats.

7.) 30 May 2025 08:39:18
That's a fair enough statement Bermo, but let's not ignore the fact that those 6 or 7 are also joined in European competition by others in an additional few Minnie mouse tournaments too. That's effectively half of the league involved in supposedly "exclusive and elite" European tourneys! It kinda takes the edge off.

8.) 30 May 2025 10:32:25
To be fair, I have a passing interest in the CWC, only for curiosity sake. I think it will be regretted given the players will only have 3 to 4 weeks off before the new season. As long as City don't win [or Chelsea, god forbid! ], then watching live footy is never a bad thing, intertwined with attending / watching our own friendlies.

Annoyingly, another subscription is needed to watch it!

9.) 30 May 2025 14:14:23
There are only 4 teams that can win. What’s the point. Got champ league for that.

10.) 30 May 2025 18:14:55
I do agree bright, in principle I hate them and would love to go back to the old ways, however it won’t happen and I do think we might be competing in these fairly soon and if like spuds we get champs leauge via the back door o will cheer my heart out

I mean be honest who is against entry via the back door?

11.) 30 May 2025 22:15:11
Which 4 teams Oz?

12.) 30 May 2025 23:18:39
By means of a follow up, it is being streamed free, so no subscription needed.

29 May 2025 08:32:35
Kyogo Furuhashi. I'd love us to snipe him from Rennes if he is indeed to be frozen out. My mate's a Celtic fan, and spoke very highly of him while he was there. Not saying we ARE looking at him, but would like us to.

Brightwhite

1.) 29 May 2025 13:07:54
The way we're going, Leeds will be a mix of Welsh, Japanese and Bulgarians. I'm all for it.

20 May 2025 11:49:09
So Leiceser get charged again for financial cheating. Cheats. ??
That is all. Carry on.

Brightwhite

1.) 20 May 2025 13:19:14
Charged by EPL I believe.
Can EFL also charge and they get double hit, I sure hope so, they deserve it!

2.) 20 May 2025 13:27:40
Here's to hoping a 15 point deduction hits them.

3.) 20 May 2025 14:19:09
The potential plight of Leicester is nothing compared to that of Man U if they don't win tomorrow evening - oh dear, how sad, never mind:) ) ) ) ) )

4.) 20 May 2025 14:30:05
Took out a big restructuring loan with An Ozzy financial institute last season, so all this sounds ominous for the fans.

5.) 20 May 2025 15:23:53
Sounds like they’re going under Chris? ……I’ll fetch me coat….

6.) 20 May 2025 16:59:09
Future son in law is a leicester fan, been declining since they lost their owner in the tragic helicopter crash. with the exception of last years run in champo. still if you don't play by the rules you deserve all you get.

7.) 20 May 2025 18:21:18
Class ?????.

8.) 20 May 2025 19:10:55
I believe these sanctions are coming from the EFL, I think they’ll be looking to sting them hard, after them making the officialdom in the EPL look stupid with the previous charges.
Thats unless they get away with it again, which maybe possible with these clowns. But if the EFL are successful and let’s hope they are then it might be bye bye cheating Leicester for some time to come.
What goes around comes around.

9.) 20 May 2025 21:47:47
No OP these are EPL charges.
After they slimed their way out last times the rules were changed so you could be charged even if relegated.
So EFL can separately charge as well. I'm hoping so.

10.) 21 May 2025 00:17:26
Think you are right Canada. Pretty sure they closed the loophole last month.
Could be a biggee for leicester. Potentially 10-15.
if that outcome is correct cleggy and that wonerful group of custatrd tarts do lose. i will have tear in my eyes.

11.) 22 May 2025 06:53:14
That is correct Canada but charges by the EPL on Leicester will probably have no effect as they are now officially in the EFL and as we know they are two different entities.
This doesn’t now though take away the EPL’s interest in perusing Leicester for financial irregularities, we’ll see what happens.

12.) 22 May 2025 10:58:36
Seemingly that was the basis of the last ruling OP

I think the EPL appealed that, have now gotten that overturned so Leicester are now being deemed as fair game for sanctions and the EPL are doing zee hunting.

Just wanted to put this out there. on the back of YorkshirePud joining, and AGM making a welcome comeback:
Anyone else who might be a regular reader, but not yet posting, please do consider biting the bullet, and saying hello! ALAW?
Caveat; just don't be a direct sub for those gladly departed! ??.

Brightwhite

1.) 17 May 2025 12:56:56
100% bright I don't think I've posted as much since the poisoned one left ?.

2.) 17 May 2025 13:17:46
Top post Brighty, more the merrier, and great to see new posters posting in addition to following, and some favourites returning.

Be great to have Dil return, especially with his keen eye for potential signings, do miss his posts and insights.

Also looking forward to Woodster returning and posting after such a challenging time.

Only way is up for the Site and the team!

3.) 17 May 2025 14:44:32
Dil was and is the main man for me, good insight and never a cross word really miss him on here.

4.) 17 May 2025 15:32:22
Totally agree re Dill and Woody. Crofton Cronie was another too. I'm terrible with remembering names tho!

5.) 17 May 2025 16:25:55
Agree I really do this love site and value every one on it. I don’t get to see many leeds fans so it means a lot to me… alaw and all that.

6.) 17 May 2025 17:31:43
I'm same Bermo because my wife is disabled I don't get the opportunity to go to games anymore, so this site is a way to talk to other fans. We might not always agree on some posts but we respect that others have different opinions and that is the way it should be.

7.) 17 May 2025 17:58:09
Thanks Brighty nice to be able to be able to post on here, without that pair making petty comments. Hope Mad Mick will make return used to make me laugh. MOT.

8.) 17 May 2025 18:13:22
Ditto AGM! But I think Mick has definitely toddled off elsewhere!

9.) 17 May 2025 21:09:44
Well said oldbri.

10.) 17 May 2025 21:48:14
Hope Mad Mick is ok, always wondered if his brother ever caught him with his sister-in-law?

Or he may have suddenly burst into flames with excess static from his legendary shell suit!

Love a Survivor Jeff return, even for a 24hr blitz of rumours, they were off the scale crazily entertaining.

11.) 18 May 2025 00:51:49
Spanish is a big miss for me. When he was regularly posting I felt much more informed on the academy players and who we may see in the first team. I know he still posts occasionally, but would love to see him more often again!

12.) 18 May 2025 08:13:06
Agree mad mick and Spanish were both great and deeply missed

Jeff is not returning to the site he was recruited to be head scout for Barcelona. FACT.

13.) 18 May 2025 10:31:50
Jeff was legendary! The original Walter! ??.

14.) 18 May 2025 12:50:55
Would love to hear from Dill again, very insightful player knowledge and Clu isn’t as regular a poster a previous, rate his tactical knowledge.

15.) 20 May 2025 13:47:49
Thanks Brinkley and Bermo, much appreciated. I was back in Leeds at that time thinking of moving back permanently and so I spent a lot of time watching the 21s live . We had some exciting players then and I followed them when I decided to return to Spain permanently on Brexit! I’m still a season ticket holder and try to get to as many games as possible but with everything else going on in my life, I find it hard to fit everything in! Retirement! I still keep an eye on the site . In my humble opinion, the site is at its best when not dominated by 1/ 2 posters, not repetitive and not overly vindictive. But still remains a great site, the Ed’s do a great and difficult job!

Totally agree Aus. While he struggled to adapt initially, he did improve all aspects of his game imo, and became invaluable going forward. Loved his attitude too.
At the end of the day he contributed consistently to our promotion, so I wish him, and his young family, all the best.
