BA and JH talks in place show them the door as soon as possible.

Whiteman1

1.) 21 May 2024 08:38:34
Let’s hope we get rid of them all. Don’t think Farke will want players with no passion for Leeds anyway.

2.) 22 May 2024 11:32:13
We need the money much more than we need them. Hopefully we get a decent price for them.

Cardiff host Leeds Utd in the FA CUP.

I wish it really was just a rumour or Clickbait Whitey ?.

10 Nov 2021 17:23:51
Contact problems on the horizon Phillips not agreeing to sign Forshaw out of contact in 6 months, will he stay or be offered a new one, now he's fit will he go for a better offer .

Whiteman1

1.) 10 Nov 2021 20:01:39
Those darn communication problems! 😂.

2.) 12 Nov 2021 19:51:45
Foreshaw still one of our highest earners I think. Not sure where he would get a better offer.

05 May 2021 19:04:36
Alloski deal done will now leave at end of season, thanks for all your hard work,

Whiteman1

1.) 06 May 2021 10:41:26
Let’s be honest he’s got a terrific work ethic but he’s not the standard of left back or winger that we need if we are to push up the league. He’s likely to get a massive payout from a Turkish club and that makes sense given his native Macedonia is only separated from turkey by Greece and Bulgaria and he is approaching 30. I wish him all the best with his personal career, but if he does sign for g******** I will rejoice whenever anything bad happens to the club he plays for.

16 Mar 2021 19:00:27
See LLorente not happy and will return to Spain this summer, oh dear he will be missed Not!

Whiteman1

1.) 16 Mar 2021 19:15:24
This was soon rubbished by Graham Smith. Since Llorente has been fit, he’s been good, what’s your problem with him?

2.) 16 Mar 2021 19:39:55
Falls down like a sack of 💩 gets up Within one second and want to fight can’t stand baby’s should have been sent off and band for 6 games, and don’t think much of his ability anyway,

3.) 16 Mar 2021 21:13:13
He likes you a lot though Whitey! I think he's just adjusting to the physicality of the league. He's also protecting himself having been out injured a few times. In the minutes he's played, we haven't conceded as many goals.

4.) 16 Mar 2021 22:09:39
Whitey he didn't know what is and isn't acceptable, now he should.
If he does it again he deserves our criticism if not he's good for me.

5.) 16 Mar 2021 23:22:42
He’s technically solid, great vision and passing out of defence, perhaps you’d prefer coops whitey?

6.) 17 Mar 2021 06:33:31
Seems very harsh for someone who has been hampered by injury and only had the chance to play 3 or 4 games.

7.) 17 Mar 2021 19:57:07
With you Martyn. Personally, I love discounted landlords. 😂.

Two many yellow cards being pick up for silly things this need to be sorted of it could become a problem.

Whiteman1

1.) 23 Jan 2025 08:15:53
Tbf Whiteman they were pulling down our players on the break so we did it to them with Piroe and Bryam who received yellows.
It’s a part of the game you don’t want to see as a spectator but it isn’t likely to go away soon.
As for Rothwell’s going down in the box, well if you’re going to do it, make it look convincing otherwise you look a bit of a knob.

2.) 23 Jan 2025 10:35:29
OP I do get it but I believe it could come back and bite us and as you say Rothwell well what can you say. Big game up next hope DF has a game plan sorted.

20 Jan 2025 06:44:07
NEW FLASH Leeds will not repeat NOT be replacing there goalkeeper in this WINDOW! I do hope that this new can reach down under if they are will about to receive new down there. ???.

Whiteman1

1.) 20 Jan 2025 07:13:19
Just about got that whiteman. I presume its predictive text or something ?
Their their.
Here’s hoping we buy a new gk in this window eh? Heard any rumours whiteman?

2.) 20 Jan 2025 07:20:03
Thank gawd Whitey.
Darlow is a keeper. Literally and figuratively.

3.) 20 Jan 2025 08:14:10
I’m concerned that Ambrosia will poach Meslier from us in the summer. If you think Mez is the only keeper that makes howlers, in my opinion Onana wins first prize in that department.

4.) 20 Jan 2025 09:58:40
I will be absolutely astounded if Ambrosia bought Mess OP, think all keepers have an error in them as is the case with outfield players also.

However it’s about the number of mistakes from young Illan which are far greater than most in all leagues across Europe. Fully appreciate the position of keeper faces more scrutiny than any other position on the pitch.

However, at a time when people are questioning as to whether Isaac’s should be getting a start, in the main, we are universally accepted as having the strongest squad in the league and other than our young keeper I cannot think many players (Bamford possibly) are dreaded when announced in the current line up.

Unless I’ve missed it? I cannot recall a single offer for Illan in all his time with us so fail to comprehend Farkes assertion that Illan has stayed loyal to us?

“BBC Sport…. Meslier is ranked the third worst goalkeeper in Europe for conceding more goals than expected since his debut – a PSxG of -35.0. “.

5.) 20 Jan 2025 11:29:40
Superb, stunningly on the money points Class ?????? goat ?poster.

6.) 20 Jan 2025 11:41:32
Class it’s also a point worth noting that Bielsa rated Meslier’s also. I think if the club really wanted to dispatch with Mez they would have done it by now.
Stats can only tell you so much, people aren’t machines.

I believe we bought Meslier for 7Mil so we could have easily have sold him to Marseille who had interest but didn’t want to pay the 18Mil price for him. So to sell him for anything over 7Mil would be positive accounting.

The bottom line is the club nor its coaches want to offload Mez because although he’s having a difficult period, which is not made easier with the pressure of the fans all on his back, he is actually a good keeper.

7.) 20 Jan 2025 11:46:42
Aus it’s a joke mate ????and you are right about the text ?all good down under?.

8.) 20 Jan 2025 11:53:06
Class it’s all in the pudding mate.

9.) 20 Jan 2025 12:02:45
" difficult period "? ie Sept August 2021 to Jan 2025.

10.) 20 Jan 2025 13:27:21
No team wins a league with a rubbish keeper and I fully expect us to do that this season.

11.) 20 Jan 2025 13:30:15
Agreed OP, there’s no doubting ALL managers aside from Fat Sam rated Illan and if you were asking up until the Bielsa era when in fairness to him he had little or no defence with him, taking that into consideration I remained supportive, as he certainly seemed a excellent young prospect for Leeds United, especially good with the ball at his feet.

But for myself he has gone backwards, and I fully believe it’s fundamental flaws in the young man which as seasons have gone by have become ever more prevalent.

Agree statistics can be read differently but specifically for a keeper they are very telling, as I’ve always stated it’s not personal against the lad but imo our club need, deserves better.

12.) 20 Jan 2025 14:07:49
Err OP Leeds won Champo 19/ 20 with a rubbish keeper in Kiko . (4th choice at Real Madrid)

13.) 20 Jan 2025 16:40:58
Meslier did play in those last 10 or 11 games of that promotion run in, we won every game bar one, it’s arguable to say without his contribution maybe we wouldn’t have made promotion?
I can counter any argument made against Meslier, his youth and inexperience will always go against him but he still has the prospect with time to ameliorate some deficiencies in his game and no keeper is perfect by the way.

Yes we could always try and find a better keeper but in my opinion you will have to spend over 20Mill and then the problem of does that GK want to play for Leeds.

If Meslier was 28/ 29 years old now, I would say let’s find better, but he still could be a top keeper and with some patience it’s very possible he could still make that breakthrough.
You have to always consider a GK’s career doesn’t peak until 29/ 30 yrs old, let him grow some hair on his face before cancelling our Number 1

Although stats will tell you one story about Meslier, I still think he is the best keeper in this league and could go on to be a very competent GK in the Premiership.

I’m willing to put my bottom dollar on Mez becoming a very good top flight GK and if it isn’t with us, to our loss it will be at another club.

Appreciate all grown up discussions on Meslier, it’s not easy to back him up with so many condemning him, but I’d rather go with the global consensus of what all his previous coaches think and believe of him and that definitely doesn’t include the few games Allardyce had at our club as he as a coach contributed zero for us.

14.) 20 Jan 2025 17:49:29
Meslier "youth and inexprience" OP. jeez fella feeble excuses

He is 25 next month. not young
Anx he is experienced. well over 200 appearances

You backed him as " future ahem world class France number 1' . no chance fella

Whereas teams like Brighton genuinely DO have a very good young gk .22 years old and already the Dutch full international gk!

Facts OP also are Mes was another mediocre Orta signing ( not a Bielsa signing) who gave Bielsa the horrific gk triple signjngs of Kiko Meslier and Klaessen. Bielsa had no choice but to play Mes. least worst of the 3!

Nuff said.

15.) 20 Jan 2025 18:40:45
OP We bought him for £5M.

16.) 20 Jan 2025 22:36:25
It’s only nuff said in your opinion Baz, one that i vehemently oppose. Yes I’m in a minority but I couldn’t give a stuff what others want to think. I follow my own instincts and it’s not a surprise to me that Farke has kept his trust in the young Frenchman.
Just remember while you’re sticking the boot in on Meslier, he’s still a Leeds United player!
United? Maybe not.
I’d like to see how you would cope with that huge amount of pressure he has to deal with now, something that I’m certain that would leave you with dirty soiled undercrackers I’m sure.
ALAW?

17.) 20 Jan 2025 23:01:31
Better dirty soiled than standing near the halfway line at Goodison Park allowing an Evertonian to score a goal from a very unusual angle with his previous coming an ice age ago.

18.) 21 Jan 2025 03:19:47
OP

Farkey doubling down and continually picking his out of form fave Meslier is tbe ANTITHESIS of ' side before self'

I support my club Leeds United . not failing individuals who have previously severely damaged and sabotaged my beloved LUFC

ALAW? Not sure how you can be OP as you are the only one now proposing playing Mes . thus harming and reducing Leeds United promotion chances. yet again.

19.) 21 Jan 2025 05:31:45
We will win the Championship with Meslier’s as our keeper whether you like it or not George, and all your vitriolic and mocking attacks of our number one will be just an insignificant whining noise in the background.

20.) 21 Jan 2025 06:41:52
Already told you OP there is a precedent for Leeds winning Champo with rubbish gk in 2019/ 20 .

but this very weak Champo season really should have been an absolute breeze for Leeds to win league by 10 plus points with a better gk .

sadly with Mes in goal its gonner be very tight if we do it.

21.) 21 Jan 2025 10:48:57
That’s only your opinion Baz and as far as I’m concerned, it’s not valid.

19 Jan 2025 01:52:44
Why the hell are we looking at a player who had major injuries problems just because he played for DF before we don't need another injury player we have enough sick notes already and at 33mil we can get better,

Whiteman1

08 Jan 2025 13:09:19
Harrison don't want to play for Leeds in the championship if Everton cut short his loan well that's good because I for one don't want him and now 49,s should stop any any payment he is due if they send him back to us . I have a few chose words but I will not say then. If we do hot up he can rot somewhere else .

Whiteman1

1.) 08 Jan 2025 13:16:32
My sentiments also Whiteman but Baz said he’d love him to come back to Leeds, reckons he’s quality?

2.) 08 Jan 2025 13:22:17
Agree whitey. He had his chances with us.

3.) 08 Jan 2025 13:39:46
Of the opinion they can’t send him back. Not sure.
But.
If it can be proven he said he dosent want to play for Leeds in championship. Surely we don’t have to pay him anymore.
Guaranteed never get any dollar for him ?.

4.) 08 Jan 2025 13:45:12
OP FYI this one of the rare topics I disagree with brother Baz on.

5.) 08 Jan 2025 14:32:28
I’ve got no problem with Harrison coming back but not sure he would get game time amongst those 4 wing options. So I imagine he will go out on loan again if he comes back!

6.) 08 Jan 2025 14:52:01
I didn’t want any of them back including Wober and BA, no solid rationale behind my views other than you don’t want to fight to get back into the epl given you were key parts of the team that was relegated…. then I personally don’t want you back.

Not so much lack of rationale more of a grudge on my part really.

As for Harrison, he’s protected by his (recently signed and significantly enhanced) Contract and so long as he doesn’t refuse to play he picks all of his considerable money irrespective of whether we want him or he plays or doesn’t. He can sue us for breach of contract should we not pay him.

It’s a stretch to feel empathy for the modern footballer.

7.) 08 Jan 2025 16:25:30
I’m with you on that Class but empathy is a word I would describe for young Meslier, even with his lack of form of late, at least he wasn’t one of those scattering money grabbing self serving rats, yet it would seem we all welcome back with open arms the likes of Aaronson and Wöber because they had nowhere else to go.
Standards and values mean damn little these days.
Who cares, right? It’s just a friggin’ football team!

8.) 08 Jan 2025 16:31:30
1) Any quotes directly from JH saying this? . no? Thought not

2) YEP reported yesterday JH is remaining at Everton.

3) . As re JH quality. in EPL seasons for Leeds Utd only Raphinha conttubuted more.

9.) 08 Jan 2025 16:36:04
OP hope BAZ can see it now saying he don’t want to play for Leeds in the championship he takes the money, he not even good enough for the sun team in my book.

10.) 08 Jan 2025 16:38:34
OP well said.

11.) 08 Jan 2025 17:10:48
BA and Wober left, yes.
They had to return, correct.
But they've put their head down and played their heart of for Leeds, just like Gnonto did.

We all make mistakes and I appreciate BA and Wober helping out, even if it is smoke and mirrors for a season.

Harrison though, he pushed for a new contract at the end of the season, threatening to leave otherwise, then left anyway. He has no place at Leeds, regardless of skill.

12.) 08 Jan 2025 17:42:28
But Meslier isn’t allowed to put his head down, work hard but make the occasional mistake? We are still top of the league with Le Gashlier n’est pas?

13.) 08 Jan 2025 17:49:49
Baz in the Yorkshire Evening Post,
Harrison is also noted to have made it CLEAR HE dose not Want to PLAY for LEEDS in the Championship By exercising the clause in his contract.

That’s good enough for Me and as said above Mess didn’t cry off unlike this dog and.

14.) 08 Jan 2025 18:34:19
OP ' occasional mistake'? . Give over

Class, Cheshire and Geo in their outstanding posts below remind you its uber multiple mistakes

We would have 8 points more.

15.) 08 Jan 2025 18:37:25
Opti,

Mes can still turn it around but he, like Gnonto, are going backwards in terms of ability. Maybe a few games off or a new club would be good for him and Bamford.
He's still Leeds and I respect the guy but the club is bigger than the player, manager and fans.

16.) 08 Jan 2025 18:49:00
Whitey pal. Orta and LUFC negotiated JH new contract. the contracth is on them

Everton came in for JH thus

1) giving JH a much better option to continue to play in the better EPL league

And

2) JH gets paid his FULL salary rather than 50 % to 60% less salary if he plays in Champo

Would you Whitey or OP or anyone on here turn that down? Course not!

Neither would Meslier. he would have said '"Oui" and been gone in a flash if an EPL club wanted him

but as he is " un major liability " no EPL club very unsurprisingly wants Mes.

17.) 08 Jan 2025 19:47:31
I do have to agree with Baz here. JH played well for us when played in his position albeit a bit inconsistently and would be a good asset should he return. I don't blame the guy for wanting to do the best he can for his career and for his family. It's annoying when any player doesn't bleed white for the team but the fact is he isn't a Leeds fan and he is a footballer. Not many players these days would take a wage cut and play at a lower level if they had the choice. I don't think Mes had that clause so he was more or less stuck.

{Ed025's Note - after watching him for 2 seasons at Everton Alf...describing him as a "footballer" is stretching it a bit mate, very limited player who may just be able to hold his own in the championship but if you have aspirations to play in the prem you need better players than him im afraid..

18.) 08 Jan 2025 19:49:24
Baz
Unfortunately I would mate if you don’t want to stay at play for the team that you sign just months a go a fight it then you can sod off that’s how I feel and unfortunately it will never change I was a big fan of his but he dissed my club and you Ain’t want back by is fan . Probably not what you want to know Baz but it’s my opinion, and I know many Leeds fan who feel the same. Only thing I would say how much will we get if he keeps getting loan out and he contract end not what we paid for him I bet. ?.

19.) 08 Jan 2025 21:06:57
Fair enough Whitey pal your opinion.

For me I agree with Alf on this.

20.) 08 Jan 2025 21:04:07
Ed025 I can assure you JH at LUFC in the EPL 2020 to 2023 was most definitely a talented " footballer" contributing a combo of 50 goals and assists many, many superb ones at that.

His supreme match winning hatrick away to West Ham in 2022 and his goal vs Newcastle at home in 2021 spectacular, great shooting technique etched in ones memory in particular.

Maybe Mr Bielsa had a very large part in his excellent play, goals and assists

Whereas Everton under Mr Dyche and his dour anti football anti goal scoring " Dyche ball " has evidently severely regressed him / not suited JH.

{Ed025's Note - I think you are right Baz especially about Dyche. He only plays hoofball and we are all sick of it mate. Jack works hard but he has been awful. Can’t make a 5yard pass and can’t shoot. He has been very poor for us and if you want him back I will push him to Elland rd in a wheelbarrow..

21.) 08 Jan 2025 21:39:52
What reduction in salary?

JH wasn’t tied to a reduction contract as he signed a new enhanced FIVE YEAR contract 2923-2028

I’m sure he signed it fully committed to the Leeds cause with not a thought for, oh well any loan deal they’ve got to at least match my new enhanced salary.

22.) 08 Jan 2025 21:48:48
Ed25 no way please don’t do that, I don’t thing it’s anything to with he wanted the best for his family or his football career he signed to for good money and good wages his head is bigger then his ?.

{Ed025's Note - but he’s only getting £90,000 a week Whiteman. You could always have a whip round for him mate ?..

23.) 08 Jan 2025 22:41:18
Class
the YEP on 15 April 2023 reported that JH new 5 year contract had
1) a relegation clause
And
2) his wages reduced upon relegation.

24.) 09 Jan 2025 12:21:57
A relegation clause which ensured he could go out on loan, most definitely, we know this for certain as he jumped ship the moment we had returned him to full fitness.

We don’t know for certain, but even if there was a reduction in wages clause, he wasn’t impacted either through his enhanced salary and his return to the EPL with toffees.

Actions speak louder than words and I personally never want to see Harrison in a Leeds shirt again.

07 Jan 2025 17:56:28
Just look at wood now lots of people didn't want him but the man is on ? now you know what is coming That Could Be Our keeper so do we stick or twist. ?.

Whiteman1

1.) 07 Jan 2025 19:56:39
Yes Whitey Chris Wood what a season and

What a job Nuno is doing!

I wish they were BOTH at Leeds United.

2.) 07 Jan 2025 20:08:38
Baz??.

3.) 07 Jan 2025 22:07:32
Seem to remember before Farke was appointmed Baz, you said anyone BUT Nuno ?.

4.) 07 Jan 2025 22:30:47
Who didn't want Wood?

5.) 07 Jan 2025 22:51:21
Hi Chrissy; (interesting good posts from you yesterday by the way)

Re Nuno : you must be thinking of someone else

As very well documented on this forum that since November 2022 I was championing my choice for LUFC coach Nuno to replace Jesse Marsch.

6.) 07 Jan 2025 23:53:06
CC I corroborate Baz posting version of events.

7.) 08 Jan 2025 08:42:08
I was not a big fan of woods Alf.
Has anybody seen a forest game? They should be drug tested surely. Can’t quite believe how well they are doing.

8.) 08 Jan 2025 12:10:45
Forest are doing better than I and most people expected.

But be in no doubt anymore they have a very good coach in Nuno.

9.) 08 Jan 2025 13:32:14
It is also worth noting that Forest were docked 4points for a breach of PSR in 2024 that obviously left them perilously close to relegation.

You have to recognise the work that Nuno has done at Forest, he was a good coach at Wolves but they had no money and expected miracles from him years on year.

Think Forest have shown you (sometimes) need significant money to get past the two year mark in the EPL, and they have a crazy owner with limitless pockets it would seem.

But for me, it shows far and away the biggest chance of success in the EPL (you still need significant funds) is the quality of your coach.

Look at Franke at Brentford or Silva at Fulham certainly not the biggest spenders in the EPL but will buy exciting young talent when available, but it is the level of coaching which is so far in advance of anything required in the championship.

This is why we consistently see promoted managers dismissed year on year in the hope that the change will avert relegation. (It seldom does)

Nuno and these other coaches are showing they are as important if not more important than their players to success.

IF were promoted the board will probably have their most important decision to make in their tenure as to who should manage the club.

10.) 08 Jan 2025 16:01:29
It’s true that Daniel Farke has not lifted trees in his short spells in the Premiership but everyone knows that Delia Smith’s Norwich was a very cash strapped club.

I’ve mentioned this before, I can’t recall any coach who has succeeded in winning promotion to the Premiership to be rewarded with the sack.
Correct me if I’m wrong though.

If he does win us promotion then I’m certain he would be given every opportunity to see what he can achieve. If come Christmas and we are rooted to the bottom of the table, then the the owners would have to consider their options.

But let’s not jump to conclusions, there’s many on this forum that believe the Farke will not win promotion.
But I’m very happy to announce that our very own Baz has predicted that we will not only win promotion but we will also be Champeonies.
Good on ya Auntie Baz for having the faith fella ?.

11.) 08 Jan 2025 16:36:42
OP re mt Leeds coming 1st prediction

Update

. regrettably yer " world class" Mesloer has had a melt down which is affecting results detrimentally

What happens this window and Meslier being dropped is key.

12.) 08 Jan 2025 17:31:49
Come on Baz mate not more flip flopping please.
I could say, which has been reported by nonsense reporters that Latte Lath and Ben Davies are being singled out as joining our club, we will win the league.
I’ll put my neck on the block and say we will win this league, without anymore signings in January and with cooked Mez as our goalie.

13.) 08 Jan 2025 18:53:39
. all shall be revealed soon enough OP.
