So apparently firpo has been suspended for 3 games for
Violent conduct against Millwall starting with todays game? Apparently we have been informed this morning - the morning of the game .

Mightywrighty

1.) 09 Nov 2024 12:37:07
Just seen the footage. This is an utter joke of a decision. Was as violent as blowing out a candle! What was much more violent, was our old assistant, Pep Clotet’s shaking by the neck of his player who had just been red carded! Look it up, it’s brilliant!

2.) 09 Nov 2024 13:34:24
Wasn't his neck at all. False reporting. It was his shirt. Grabbed it upper chest region. No contact made with neck whatsoever.

3.) 09 Nov 2024 13:38:58
Whatever Walter……??‍♂️.

4.) 09 Nov 2024 17:06:17
Myopic. Attend Specsavers. Virtually every single person on the planet would engage immediate self-defense when attacked in the neck but no such reaction from the player.

5.) 10 Nov 2024 07:06:49
One likes one’s own posts…………. ??.

6.) 10 Nov 2024 12:15:20
One thing is for certain gents, WE ALL LOVE LEEDS! MOT.

7.) 10 Nov 2024 15:52:35
Indeed Hooksie. That’s one thing I don’t doubt.

16 Aug 2024 08:49:31
Anyone seen or heard Strujk to Fulham for £12.5m?
I've seen one source report it.

Mightywrighty

1.) 16 Aug 2024 09:53:03
Think you got a couple buddies below mighty.
Not sure re the rumour though. Is 12 good for struik? Could we replace him for less?

2.) 16 Aug 2024 11:20:17
12 would be awful for Pasc in my opinion.

3.) 16 Aug 2024 13:06:27
£12m would be shocking business. So we will probably sell him.

26 Jul 2024 13:02:18
See one rumour on Twitter saying we have signed Jay Fulton from Swansea for 500k? Can't find any other reference to this anywhere so I'll take it as BS.

Mightywrighty

1.) 27 Jul 2024 00:55:35
Fulton nearly signed. Not likley as player as demanded higher wage and cannot agree terms 4/ 10 likely to happen next window. , Sara early talks but way of it just sniffing around. Confient summerville staying. 5/ 10. Word is recruitment traveling to germany on koln signing a midfielder. Whispers sound legit. Woking progess 8/ 10 legit.

2.) 27 Jul 2024 06:55:22
Decent news for northwest Surrey.

3.) 27 Jul 2024 22:07:01
Pinch of salt he has been on the scout list since last season. At the moment no talks of either club in talks of a deal. Still an option in case of future sales.

4.) 28 Jul 2024 21:23:03
Kewell? Interesting name as that player probably divides opinion more than any other Leeds player.

5.) 29 Jul 2024 11:24:34
Kewell great player. end of.

13 Jul 2024 18:56:12
Sounds like Kamara to Rennes for €10m is a done deal
Not a bad player but I think Kamara put Rothwell in is an upgrade .
I don't think there is room for Gruev, Ampadu and Kamara in midfield
So similar.

Mightywrighty

1.) 13 Jul 2024 20:26:23
Kamara gone is good news imo.

2.) 13 Jul 2024 20:34:48
Kamara and Rothwell different profiles. In fact all four are different profiles to each other. Shame if he goes. Kamara was good at progressing us up the pitch. The man that made us tick between defence and attack.

Kamara a progressive passer, technical on the ball.

Rothwell more of a runner to progress play, tenacious.

Gruev has workrate, tackler, more of a lateral passer.

Ampadu deep lying playmaker, press resistant, good passing range

Room for all of them imo as each does a different job.

3.) 13 Jul 2024 22:52:44
Dillinger - Gruev isn’t just a lateral passer - probably better at longer passes into final third than Kamara.

4.) 13 Jul 2024 23:12:29
Dill The question therefore is what's Crew's profile?

5.) 14 Jul 2024 00:40:12
Kamara pass forwards? . lmao.

6.) 14 Jul 2024 07:31:09
Clu, was being reductive so could write quickly to highlight the differences between all four. Did say MORE of a lateral passer, not JUST a lateral passer fwiw.

The majority of Gruev's passing consists of short/ mid passes laterally or vertically into the middle third. Does he ping a few long balls into the final third every now and again? Sure, but nothing regularly.

He does, Baz. Kamara's play tends to be in the final two thirds and it shows in the breakdown of his passing stats. He has 6.87 progressive passes per 90, ranking him in the 86th percentile.5.97 passes into the final third, ranking him in the 84th percentile. And 1.23 passes into the penalty area, ranking him in the 84th percentile.

I've barely watched Crew tbh, George, so wouldn't wanna say without spending a bit of time watching him first.

7.) 14 Jul 2024 08:47:16
That isn’t Gruev’s natural approach. He does, and initially did, prefer to lift his head in space from deep, and play more reaching passes, similar to Kal, to the wings, and through the middle. When Farke clearly told him to keep it simple, was when the brakes were put on our faster, more flowing and varied football.
The lateral element of his play is more through managerial design than natural ability or desire.

8.) 14 Jul 2024 09:23:33
I like Kamara but all I’m saying is there isn’t room for the 4 of them
Especially with strujk now going to CB that means Ampadu likely to play in midfield and Aaronson coming back as well something has to give.

9.) 14 Jul 2024 09:56:13
Of course there's room for four players who are different profiles ? could well be Brighty. All I know is Kamara's passing stats in the attacking third are much better.

10.) 14 Jul 2024 10:33:57
Agree brighty. Def change due to farkes instruction.
Remember a few decent sprays.
And it has been reported kamara will be replaced.

11.) 14 Jul 2024 12:50:25
If it is at DF's instruction it's a weird one. Negates our ability to get up the pitch quicker. We've looked most dangerous in the transitional phase, so not sure I understand why he'd neuter part of someones game like that.

12.) 14 Jul 2024 20:43:02
Graham Smyth says another midfielder to come in, Rothwell the gray replacement.

13.) 15 Jul 2024 03:31:14
Good news.

13 Jul 2024 18:38:25
I've seen a few posts of x regarding a behind closed doors game v Chelsea over 3x45 min half's? Anyone know about this? Any potential line ups etc? I heard we lost 5-1.

Some observations from the Tamworth game is that Schmidt can definitely come and do a job when we need him, I would like to see him get more game time .

Things just aren't falling for Joseph at the moment, not sure if he is over trying, he really seems to hit every shot over the bar .

Gnonto seems to have lost
Confidence in raking his man on .

Solomon has been a very good signing.

Mightywrighty

1.) 12 Jan 2025 16:25:57
Tamworth? Wouldn't that mean Spurs get knocked out of the cup for fielding an ineligible cup tied player?

2.) 12 Jan 2025 19:24:05
Correct George, you are so clever. Well done.

3.) 12 Jan 2025 21:12:57
Thanks ? official LUFC ????.

4.) 12 Jan 2025 21:16:17
Another brilliant parody post from our very own two wallies :D.

5.) 12 Jan 2025 21:35:59
Alfie lads add two sugars in yer Cuppa . sweet life enjoy.

6.) 12 Jan 2025 22:07:10
Haha I can’t believe I did that
I finished watching the Tamworth game when I posted it obviously I meant the Harrogate game.

7.) 13 Jan 2025 01:59:04
Tamworth gave Spuds a blooming hard match; fair play to them!

Also great game yesterday Arsenal vs Man U

As I said the other day odds of 18/ 1 for Man U to win FA Cup decent . now having beaten Arsenal they have shortened considerably to 17/ 2.

8.) 13 Jan 2025 02:05:02
. and what fabulous saves from Man U's Bayindir in particular and Arsenals Raya

So envious watching other clubs keepers making lots of great saves for their clubs. making a huge positive beneficial difference!

9.) 13 Jan 2025 06:43:31
You wouldn’t have been so envious if you had watched Bayinder’s rubbish performance in Man Utds loss against Spurs the other week in the Carabao cup. His howler was worse than Meslier’s.

10.) 13 Jan 2025 07:10:53
Yep he did not play well that game .

possibly impeded for the goal from the corner for Spurs final goal ;

the first goal when he paries a shot back out into the box

well Meslier does that all the time or let's it go thru him for a goal.

Mes howlers at Everton, Sunderland, Hull etc far, far worse than either of those goals.

11.) 13 Jan 2025 08:05:06
Oh Baz you do make me giggle, only you could extol the virtues of they who must not be named and also use it as a conduit to bash Leeds and Mes because it justifies your opinion. Beware, the force is strong with the dark side it seems.

12.) 13 Jan 2025 08:16:59
It’s ok for one to make a mistake but not the other, well that says it all really. Have a wonderful day Baz.

13.) 13 Jan 2025 08:23:35
You know what Davey Vid. for me at least

until we get back into at least the SAME frigging league as Man U.

. our "rivalry" with them is currently a tad tinpot certainly from their perspective I am sure.

14.) 13 Jan 2025 08:25:36
. and Davey. re 'the Dark Side'

So perhaps I am Darth Vader to your Luke Skywalker.

Hmmm . does that make me your father Davey? ??.

15.) 13 Jan 2025 08:53:14
Baz
You are WRONG, so wrong.

The rivalry with **** is never tinpot.
Even when they were in the old second division in the 70s, they were the main rival.
Mr Radcliffe could move them to play in a fantastic stadium in Qatar and it would make no difference. They are and always will be the main rival.
And having lived so close to their manor for so many years I know that their 'real world fans' never speak well of the mighty Leeds. They hurt after that FA Cup loss.

16.) 13 Jan 2025 10:00:08
Yes Axey Leeds fans hate Man U fans ) and vice versa

And Leeds fans consider Man U are its main and most hated rival ( not least with a historical context) .

My point is that a rivalry is somewhat diminished a tad when neither club plays each other frequently ie differernt divisions etc. but yes the rivalry still burns even then

Leeds United and Man Utd greatest rivalry was imo in 1960s when both clubs were very strong. and yes also 1970s, 1990s up to 2004.again relit in 2010 and then 2020 to 2023.

But Man U fans younger ones especially and older ones imo have the following clubs as their biggest rivals most hated rivals

1st Liverpool
2nd Citeh
3rd Arsenal
And then
4th Leeds ( or even Chelsea) ,

17.) 13 Jan 2025 12:41:48
Baz

I concur with some of your post.

To Leeds, Manchester United (sorry eds, I put s*** last time) is the greatest rivalry.
To Manchester United, Liverpool is their greatest rivalry.

But Leeds is their second greatest. They simply detest Yorkshire folk.

They see City fans all week long. It's just banter and bragging rights (a bit like Liverpool and Everton)

Arsenal and Chelsea was only a Fergie-thing as he had a beef with their managers at the time.

18.) 13 Jan 2025 14:15:30
Interesting 2nd follow up post Axey.

19.) 13 Jan 2025 15:53:17
I try not to be boring Baz.

Obviously the above is only what I have personally observed and is not a complete chapter and verse with regards to football rivalries.
I have no idea about our Milwall one.

05 Jan 2025 11:46:38
I'm not sure what the problem is with Schmidt
Farke said Byram is exhausted yet he comes on instead of Schmidt?

Mightywrighty

1.) 05 Jan 2025 12:21:21
Have they tried Schmidt in goal?

2.) 05 Jan 2025 12:26:01
If only we knew is he another Spence? Someone mentioned he was bought but not for this season as he is up and coming, I can't see that as he is 25 so not exactly a youngster bit of a strange one in my opinion.

3.) 05 Jan 2025 12:30:35
Yes a baffling one. In the short stints we have seen of Schmidt he looks decent to me.

4.) 05 Jan 2025 12:51:41
Agree above. Looks decent.
Maybe he that good they don’t want him poached in window.

5.) 05 Jan 2025 13:16:52
Very very attack focused. The exact opposite of bringing on Sam to shore up a defence that was already off its game yesterday!

6.) 05 Jan 2025 14:23:36
That worked bright lol ??.

7.) 05 Jan 2025 14:27:23
Indeed OB.

8.) 05 Jan 2025 14:37:55
He's attack minded and fast. One could say he's like Schmidt off of a shovel.

9.) 05 Jan 2025 15:55:45
Farke don't rate him. Makes you wonder ? why he bought him.

10.) 05 Jan 2025 17:46:42
If Farke didn’t rate him, he wouldn’t be on the bench. Plus I very much doubt Farke was responsible for bringing him in, unlike his specific requests for AO.
And yes, Bri, it didn’t work at all yesterday, but that ain’t my fault, nor is it my preferred way of seeing out a game, as a coach.

11.) 05 Jan 2025 18:06:17
Class. We’ve already got a Schmidt keeper, we don’t need another one!

24 Nov 2024 22:56:14
Apart from the 3 points
Some things that delighted me today
Is that we rested Gnonto and started Solomon and he got 2 goals and then we bring ln Gnonto and he scores the winner .

Dan James was superb and Ramazani is back from injury on the bench, so we have real depth there now and rotation options

Also Tanaka . Phenomenal midfielder, he was everywhere . An absolute gem.

Mightywrighty

1.) 25 Nov 2024 10:19:14
DJ was superb ; MOM imo
MS his best LUFC match performance .
AO is prem quality; he played well but he has had more impressive matches for LUFC.

22 Oct 2024 22:40:15
Let's hope Ramazani injury is nothing serious.

The curse of the early goal.
They lost drive and let Watford back in.

The Onana deal didn’t get them much profit about he cost £35m plus a 20% sell on clause

but also selling branthwaite will likely give them some money available as he will be all profit so that should put them in a position to buy Gnonto

Personally I’d rather if we do sell he goes to Newcastle.
