Farke states, and I quote, " we wanted to go through "
I hate being taken for a fool, that's bol&$#ks, if he was serious about going through he wouldn5 have made 10 changes.
1.) 08 Feb 2025 21:18:20
you can make changes and still want to go through.
2.) 09 Feb 2025 12:59:19
He's right, 1970. We did want to go through, we just didn't want to risk our players doing so.
There's an argument to be made that we should have bought more players if injury is such a concern, but that's by the by.
3.) 09 Feb 2025 14:09:23
MOTagain 100%.
4.) 12 Feb 2025 09:03:49
Farke vindicated after last night? Resting the squad seemed to work like a charm.

1970 we need to get through promotion which has just got harder we could be two pints behind come Monday night.

Bielsa post match comments are very worrying - he sounds tired and defeated, almost resigned to continued struggles. My bet is he is off back to Argy at end of season.

Ok - how many points needed to survive - a little bit north of 40 me thinks.
3 rd bottom has more points on board than previous few seasons after 27 games. Sham, Forists and us are suddenly hard to beat - all have only 1 loss in last 6. Then we have spuds and sparrows in free fall.
2 already done for I think but who will be third - one of the London trio I hope - way too many from there in this league!
Thoughts on a post card please.
1.) 22 Feb 2026 14:28:48
Two more wins, with, say, five draws, gets us to 42 points, which should be enough. I'm expecting at least four wins from last 11 games, though, so hopefully we will be nearer 50 than 40 points.
2.) 22 Feb 2026 15:14:02
Oh blimey, Corkster, expectation is the mother of disappointment, but I think you are right. ??? Be a good start to make it 6/6 under the lights at ER. ?
3.) 22 Feb 2026 16:24:17
There are too many on here, Vid, with small expectations, and accept a draw when we should have won, and even accept defeats because our opponent "is an established EPL team," and God forbid if they are a top six side. The next game is the next game, and I always believe we can win.
4.) 22 Feb 2026 17:03:24
Corkster, we are going to be absolutely fine. The only question is how high we can finish. Look at that side, game in, game out, so competitive now. What a midfield, and look at the options we have. The defence is solid, despite not having a top-notch keeper. Look at our signings, like Stach, Gabby, Bijol, DCL, Nmecha, Okafor, Longastaff, James, all performing and bargain buys or free.
The Bielsa side of 20/21 went on a run in the last 10 games to finish 9th with 59 points. Could we replicate that? There are lots of teams within 2 or 3 wins. Leeds are now, in my opinion, regarded as a tough test, not a "newly promoted lamb to the slaughter." As long as we don't draw Arsenal, we could be FA Cup finalists too. ???
5.) 22 Feb 2026 18:55:31
Think again, Cork, if you think most are happy with a draw or, God forbid, a loss? Not expressing great dissatisfaction on this forum doesn't mean fans aren't, deep down, desperately gutted when we don't win.
6.) 22 Feb 2026 18:34:03
To your point Vid, we are only 4 points off where Bielsa's team was who finished 9th. That team had a great last 10 matches.
This team has lost 4 less at this point, than that team. That team was black or white, win or lose, seldom drew a game.
11 wins, 2 draws, 14 defeats
7 wins, 10 draws, 10 defeats
7.) 22 Feb 2026 19:44:19
I'd like to finish above Sunderland, who are currently 12th, just to emphasise we're the best of the promoted teams. If we finish 10/11th, I'd be happy with that after the poor early season. And one of the London teams to go down, preferably Spurs.
8.) 22 Feb 2026 19:52:23
I see your point, OP. But when the phrase "I would have taken a point before the game" comes out, it annoys me. I get what people mean, but this is after the match when points have been dropped, once more, and the same ole lines are rolled out.
One away win all season is disgraceful, imo, and we should be way further up the table, once again in my opinion.
9.) 23 Feb 2026 07:23:08
I understand your frustration, Corkster, but I think it's a measure of how far we have come that we can be disappointed at getting a point away to a team 3rd in the league. This is the difference in quality from the Champo, where we would probably have got away with it.
You can't switch off for a second at this level. Win on Saturday, and with games running out, there will be much fibrillation of sphincters below us.
10.) 23 Feb 2026 11:06:40
If no Spurts, I wouldn't mind seeing Lady Brady's team go down.
11.) 23 Feb 2026 13:55:21
I'd like Burnley to crawl past West Ham and Forest if I could choose. Forest, because I live in Derby and it makes for two good fixtures next season that are local to me. West Ham, because they "forced" Moyes away after their cup win, e.g., as above, careful for what you wish! I'd swap both to see Spurs go, though!
12.) 23 Feb 2026 13:58:13
Everyone hoped for a win, but the draw was a good point before or after the match. It's not like we were hanging on, Daniel Farke went for the win and we very nearly did; their goal was very lucky.
13.) 23 Feb 2026 14:15:12
Spurs, West Ham, and Forest. If only the world was perfect!
14.) 24 Feb 2026 01:47:31
3rd team to go down has to be a London outfit, therefore Spuds or Sham, not too fussed which.
15.) 24 Feb 2026 14:11:03
Ideally, the 3 to go down should be Chelsea, Everton and Man Utd, but I can dream, can't I.
{Ed025's Note - so you dont like Everton JR?, you do know they are the "peoples club" dont you mate.. :)
17 Jan 2026 23:55:58
Cock of the south have a really tricky run coming up and could be in a whole heap of hurt, I see us overhauling them maybe.
1.) 18 Jan 2026 01:02:55
Palace in free fall too and Glasner likely on his way, so they are also have a chance to be dragged in.
2.) 18 Jan 2026 04:17:58
It’s going to get crowded down there. Maybe some will be sucked in and spat out to the champ. I don’t mind Bournemouth or palace. Like to see spuds go though.
27 Dec 2025 15:52:50
Dyche moaning like a clogged drain - none of his players have ever rolled around feigning injury ofcourse.
03 Dec 2025 21:18:44
OP - I will gladly volunteer for the fans committee to manage our great team but only if you promise to do all the pressers, that way whatever happens things will appear rosy and I will not be relieved of my duties!
1.) 04 Dec 2025 08:58:24
I guess that's meant as a light hearted joke at my expense 1970. The truth is, if we had dispensed with Farke already as many on here called for, we could be now in dire trouble with a Jesse Marsch type replacement, destined with a one way ticket back to the Championship.
01 Dec 2025 04:03:18
Going into Saturday Farke probably feared the worst, subsequently BA was benched so he could not be blamed for the impending debacle and could be reinstated next week.
Once 2 down the game is always very different, I woul$ not read too much into our perceived improvement - as far as Citeh were concerned the job was already done and therefor their hunger somewhat waned. At 2 - 2 they woke up again ( when needed) and there was only ever going to be one winner.
We can hope but I fear the worst.
1.) 01 Dec 2025 09:37:11
Th second half was a much improved performance but let’s be honest we were handed two goals on a plate by city.
I think it’s time for Farke to go but only if we can get in a better coach.
16 Apr 2024 03:20:41
Well he would say that wouldn’t he! I don’t read that much into it, if money is right he will be back to Germany before you can say blitzkrieg.
07 Aug 2023 15:42:27
I can't even say it, let alone sing it!
02 May 2023 15:45:56
With you on this one AUS - I assume Sam will be on a good "bung" if he somehow keeps us up.
17 Jun 2022 23:09:14
Please see my post from earlier this week! Of course he knew, no doubt what so ever - question is would he have spent regardless?
Probably not - but as I stated previously we will end up with net profit the window for Radz to siphon off a couple of million for other ventures.
He has been good for Leeds but first and foremost he is a business man looking to make a profit.
09 Nov 2025 18:22:20
Agree with Vid. No one expects owt from next four games anyway - maybe new guy comes in and instills a bit of passion and urgency in the team and we subsequently nick a few points.
One thing for sure is that it is highly unlikely with present leader.
09 Nov 2025 00:30:50
That’s all well and good - but who exactly is going to take our chances
?
02 Nov 2025 03:37:57
That’s hardly the point. Had we won every game we would be top of the league, - we haven’t so we are not. A lot of bull crap about being competitive which somehow makes everything ok even when we lose.
Then someone has the briGHT idea to bring in DCL that free wheeling goal machine on a 15 million pound contract over three, I repeat 3 years - that particular one probably not Farkes fault.
12 Oct 2025 18:56:52
That explains a lot of your posts, a picture is worth 1000 words.
04 Oct 2025 20:30:44
Heads up boys - we won5 be getting a top finisher in January either.
