Have a feeling a new signing will be announced tomorrow and probably two.
Who wants a BABYSHAM!

The money is coming for Nuno Espírito Santo.
Backed in to 5s from 20s.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 08 Feb 2023 12:48:14
Ha as predicted by Sir Nostra Baz.

2.) 08 Feb 2023 13:16:49
Hope not. Prefer Spanish, Dutch and Argie first.

3.) 08 Feb 2023 14:13:29
Aus I would prefer the Spanish, Dutch and Argie first too

My prediction isn't based on my preferred choice but on the most realistic choice under this mediocre regime

Nuno is still more preferable than several others such as the Hassanthul and Gerrard.

4.) 08 Feb 2023 17:06:58
So, basically, if you put twenty quid on at 5/ 1, you lose twenty quid, right? ??.

5.) 08 Feb 2023 17:08:01
I’ve read more about Iraola now and tbh I don’t think he’s the type of coach we need. He’s similar to Bielsa in the way he likes to create a chaotic style to catch teams out. High intensity and high risk press. Personally I want us to move away from this style, it’s been sussed out now and teams beat the “traps” way too easily! We need someone to come in and stabilise, make us difficult to break down and let the attacking 4 have more freedom. No RB’s challenging in the attacking area and being caught out of position 15 times a game! Back to basics!

6.) 09 Feb 2023 20:55:22
If you look back I said both poch and Santo been interviewed and nobody seemed to believe me poch has turned us down but Santo is deciding just because papers saying all these others don't believe everything you read.

Apparently Leeds have agreed to pay 10.5 million for the French flop. If true done well to get that deal as I think the court of arbitration said pay the full 21 million.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 06 Dec 2022 03:57:23
If indeed a negotiated settlement is true and at £10.5 million or less

some of which may have allegedly been covered by indemnity/ liability contract insurance

then a much better result.

2.) 06 Dec 2022 13:05:31
So what source is this' apparent £10.5 million rumour ' Jigster?

3.) 08 Dec 2022 09:20:24
Looks like we paying full whack plus interest but on better terms.

4.) 08 Dec 2022 17:54:05
Yeah read those articles Aus today

If true and likely it is
it would mean Bright and Corkster were not correct in their reduced settlement guess

and I was right all along again ? (just jesting fellas )

5.) 09 Dec 2022 07:05:41
How can he play for Basel if we paid for him?

{Ed001's Note - because you gave up his registration a long time ago. You are paying for his original transfer, nothing to do with where he is today.}

6.) 09 Dec 2022 10:32:40
Right. Thanks Ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

28 Jul 2022 18:49:20
Any truth in Ziyech rumours I wonder? At 8 mill it sounds like bollox but.

CORKWHITE1

{Ed002's Note - Someone is teasing you.}

1.) 28 Jul 2022 21:03:24
Not sure he’s the answer to what we need tbh.

2.) 29 Jul 2022 11:10:44
Your right Sweatz, we don't need another winger ATM, albeit lad has quality. but we aapl know what we need desperately.

3.) 29 Jul 2022 11:41:01
Well Corky, in the words of one (fictitious) agent ‘The truth is out there, but so are lies’. I suspect our ‘interest’ in Ziyech may be in the words of an entirely different kind of agent, and there’s more chance of ? turning up at Thorp Arch than him.

14 Jul 2022 20:45:46
Possible target is Zinchenko. Well going by a few wagers placed in last 24 hours.
Large bets too.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 14 Jul 2022 22:17:39
Corky How are you privy to such information?

2.) 15 Jul 2022 04:51:22
He wants to play in midfield.

3.) 15 Jul 2022 08:19:50
I work for a large betting company.

4.) 15 Jul 2022 13:35:10
Corky Thank you for sharing but current talk about him seems to have him Goons bound.

Personally I believe we are the best side in the league. A poor start to the season however might cost us.
13 games left and we probably have to win ten for automatic promotion! Not impossible but if they can do it? '
That would mean winning 18 outta last 21 games!
Improbable but possible?
MOT.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 20 Feb 2024 00:31:11
The start wasnt good indeed Corky, but if should be noted Leeds lost just one game to Brum ( a very unlucky 1 nil non penalty)

In my opinion December was far, far worse a key ( uber) disappointing month of frittering away crucial points .

Leeds lost the plot away from home losing THREE away games within three weeks

and had a timid home draw against Coventry.

THANKFULLY 2024 has been resurgent.

Keep winning!
#clean sheets!

2.) 20 Feb 2024 07:17:51
I said similar in apost a few days ago. I believe wehave tge strongest squad, better than when we were in the Premier, and only the torrid outflow of players and late integration of those her now have cost us dearly. It's like a headstart in a marathon, but we are coming.

3.) 20 Feb 2024 08:13:45
I mentioned it last week Corky, that I can honestly see us achieving what you outline above. Possibly a point or two dropped vs Leic and/ or S’ton, but I don’t think we will lose again this season. There is a grit, determination and spirit in this squad, and even the subs are showing it from the bench too.
Ike Saturday, we can now grind out results even if not on top form.
The future is Bright! You’re welcome! ???.

4.) 20 Feb 2024 08:43:18
Let’s not get carried away with ourselves ladies.
Whilst I agree we are looking pretty damn good at the moment and unstoppable going forward. Let’s remember who we have played in 2024.
I have a suspicion we will beat Leicester but long long way to go and the top four all doggedly showing ambition and resisting the wobble. Even bloody Ipswich ??
So. It’s very much two from four still.

5.) 20 Feb 2024 10:02:40
Look at the rest of the fixtures Aus. Sunderland could give us a game, depending on who is gaffer, but other than the other two I mentioned, we can sweep aside the rest of the teams, barring injuries or suspensions, imo.

19 Feb 2024 23:13:10
Watched Gary Mcallister picking his all time 11 of players he played with. Interesting.
He actually picked himself. Anyways he chose 3 Leeds players in the eleven.
Dorigo
Batty
Strachan

He said Dorigo would be amazing in today's game.

Batty was so intelligent and would still be himself and adjust to today's game.

And Strachan was a pickpocket of a player and would be up there as one of the best in the game today.

Surprised he picked Andy Gorman over Lukic though?

CORKWHITE1

1.) 20 Feb 2024 00:37:44
Tony Dorigo best Leeds United LB ever ( since 1960s ) . better even than Terry Cooper.

2.) 20 Feb 2024 08:15:37
Dozza would possibly the best LB in Europe if he was still playing. Possibly could have been the most capped Eng LB too, if it wasn’t for the amazing Stuart Pearce, who I doubt would have the same impact in today’s game!?

3.) 20 Feb 2024 10:40:31
Ian Harte all day long, first name in my dream team every year, wat a left foot brilliant free kicks and pens too.
AIMO.

4.) 20 Feb 2024 11:11:40
Richie . free kicks, pens . yes . awesome

But not a good defender

Slower than your gran, got rinsed many a time, not good at tackling

AIMO.

5.) 20 Feb 2024 13:09:34
Agree Baz. If we had a similar rule to American Football, where you could bring a specialist kicker on, Hartey would be that man! Tbf, Dorigo scored a couple of quality free kicks too, but was again unfortunate that Strachan and Macca were always first to the ball!

6.) 20 Feb 2024 13:38:27
Agreed Brighty 100 %

Dorigo was awesome at free kicks Norwich, Wendies . but as you say Macca and Strach were too .

7.) 20 Feb 2024 16:00:39
Loved Ian Harte, but he did lack pace. Cooper, Cherry and Dorigo were all class. Happy days!

31 Jan 2024 22:35:11
Didn't expect loads of signings but expected a RB definitely. We've lost two in Ayling n Spence and literally have zero RBs in the squad. Gray doing well but he's needed in his proper position and Shacks is a stop gap at best.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 01 Feb 2024 01:17:37
Yep. pretty much correc

Jettisoning 2 actual RBs with no RB replacements lined up was arrogance and sheer folly.

To have 2 midfielders playing at RB also folly.

It has been evident in past 2 days that the LUFC hierarchy are ( now ) actively seeking to sign a RB.

Today deadline day there will be either no signings or just one signing on deadline day . it will be a Right Back. probably Roberts.

And there will be no outgoings today Deadline day from LUFC 1st team/ players who have been getting game time.

2.) 01 Feb 2024 02:35:31
Baz I hold some hope and cautious optimism we can land Mr Godfrey today.

3.) 01 Feb 2024 04:35:48
Let’s hope we get something.
As we all know we need 3 defenders in.
Will be shocked if we get more than 1.

4.) 01 Feb 2024 06:47:31
A hard fact, but Shackleton is in that bracket of players with such as Gelhart and Poveda who aren't good enough at this level.

5.) 01 Feb 2024 06:52:47
We have til 11pm………. tick tock……I still think 2 will cross the line, but that is now my normal wishful thinking!

6.) 01 Feb 2024 09:11:28
Shacks does alright. Nothing spectacular, does a solid job and seldom makes mistakes and is very versatile. Doesn't get the plaudits or recognition he deserves. He's a young lad who works hard when he gets his chance.

7.) 01 Feb 2024 12:29:12
Agree Ani. He’s had a tough time with injuries too. Still think Poveda will develop, but Joffy will end up at Rangers or somat.

8.) 01 Feb 2024 13:17:25
Agree ani. Shacks a Swiss army without excelling at any.
Prefer povs to Willy tbh.
Gel is a waste of space. Free riding. Must go.

9.) 01 Feb 2024 17:51:34
Agree Ani and Bright.

11 Jan 2024 22:27:17
I was laughing at Aus earlier today and him getting teary.
But just watched Bill Ayling full interview and I got to admit it was fairly emotional.
Not the best technically but Luke always got Leeds United and played every game like he knew how important it was to us fans. A proper Leeds United player.
Scored some crackers too!
Wish him all the best for the future.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 12 Jan 2024 01:14:08
What can I say cork. I’m a man of the times. Always emotional. Hate losing and get annoyed by it. At the same time bit of a blubberer at sad news and movies etc.
The ladies love it mate. Try it. You might score. Maybe ?.

07 Jan 2024 23:21:51
Jaysus just saw Bamford goal!
One of the best I've ever seen!
If Haaland scored that?!

CORKWHITE1

1.) 08 Jan 2024 00:13:00
That was like watching Vintage Tony Yeboah . it was that good!

2.) 08 Jan 2024 00:31:47
Was a thing of beauty!

3.) 08 Jan 2024 04:47:55
Bit over the top corkie. Saw it from a few angles and not even sure he hit it cleanly. Good goal but not a worldy.

4.) 08 Jan 2024 05:13:24
If anyone else had hit it, then it would be a worldy.
It was therefore, a thing of utter beauty, deft skill, and a worldy!

5.) 08 Jan 2024 06:41:57
I think the term you use very frequently yourself Corky is

BOLLOX

It was a very well taken, skillfull goal yes indeed

1 of the best ever? , come on pal not a chance.

6.) 08 Jan 2024 07:28:14
Because it’s Championship player Bamford who is largely known for missing the target than scoring, that goal will only be seen by the critics as a well taken goal or just a good goal.
For me it was much more than that and you are right, if Haarland had scored that it would have been goal of the season no question about that.
To have your back facing goal with a defender on you, controlling the ball and hitting the ball on the volley takes great skill.
The cynics, and there’s plenty of them, will just say it’s a fluke which is a shame, in my eyes it was a outstanding and very skillful goal.

7.) 08 Jan 2024 08:33:13
Top quality goal that ?.

8.) 08 Jan 2024 13:01:43
Good goal. Prob mis hit. Didn’t the defender fall over? Jeez. You guys. Be real. We have scored better goals this season.

9.) 08 Jan 2024 13:24:30
anyone who can't appreciate what an outstanding goal that was has never played football. Takes so much skill to control it, turn and hit it with such accuracy and pace. If Bamford consistently played like that and against top opposition he would be one of the world's best strikers. He did intend to do it, but I think 90 times out of 100 it wouldn't come off.

Still a breathtaking strike and probably the best goal Paddy will ever score.

10.) 08 Jan 2024 13:31:22
Better goals scored by Leeds this season? ??
Name three . no in fact just one will do . good luck.

11.) 08 Jan 2024 14:29:13
Talking sh! te there tbf Aus. Give tha head a shake.

12.) 08 Jan 2024 15:52:44
What Dill said.

13.) 08 Jan 2024 17:17:56
Aus. That’s why no pundits at all are saying it was fantastic, and zero media outlets are saying to just give him the Puskas 24 award now. None.
Now watch the footage from behind Amps, and tell us it ain’t a worldie.
Technically, it’s more beautiful than Yeboah’s best. No luck, no nice bounce, just technically 100% perfect.

14.) 08 Jan 2024 17:59:50
Crickets, tumbleweed from Ausland whilst forlornly trying to think of even one better goal lol.

15.) 08 Jan 2024 18:02:47
But as for all time best Leeds goals not just this season . Yeboahs goal against Wimbledon is marginally better than Bamford's for me Brighty. its close though.

16.) 08 Jan 2024 19:02:18
I don't know how anyone can look at that goal and not think it's a fooking belter.

17.) 08 Jan 2024 19:03:21
Thats a brilliant view of the goal that one, Bright ? top notch stuff.

Nothing wrong with competition for places. Mez most likely staying so a good piece of business especially at 400k. I thought he’d cost 2 mill plus.

That Palace game was the one which in a way doomed us to relegation.

Personally I quite like it when the like of Goodman n Hinchcliffe commentate on Leeds as it degrades the whole show. They represent sky and totally make fools of themselves.
I’ve watched Leeds games in company and neutral football fans hear the same anti Leeds bias we all hear.

Big statement Bermo. Hopefully it turns out to be true.
The early season transfer turmoil might bite us on the arse as we had such a poor start. Personally I worry is Farke up to the job in Premier league but let’s get there first and see what happens.
