Baz you've named four players there who all had mitigating reasons as to why they didn't make it to our first team.
One who couldn't get into our first team and had to drop down a league to get game time before finally playing well. He wasn't getting into our first team so he didn't want to re-sign with us and we sold him as a result before losing him for nowt the summer after. That's football, it happens.
Another one who dropped down leagues to get game time as was nowhere near the firsts. Two leagues in this case. That's because we decided to pick and Englang/ Spain youth international as the better CF to integrate to the first team. Who now looks likely to be our starting CF.
One who's had two average to meh loan seasons in the last 2 years and is now leaving. Boo hoo.
And the last one who wasn't good enough to get into our first team. That after a season on loan where he also wasn't good enough to be a guaranteed starter at a lower quality team in the same league.

To be fair Baz Nuno didn’t rip it up at Spurs but Levy never backed him, my brother Spurs season ticket holder rates Nuno higher than Conte.
Plus I think Nuno is a good option as he has the EPL experience and I like the fact he’s calm and measured after the silly antics of Jesse jumping around, doesn’t show a manager focussed or in control of his thoughts and emotions.
If they’re going to do it, then it needs to happen now!

Harrison-Burrows to blades transfer has gone very quiet of late, I’m not certain we were ever in for the lad, but it’s strange that there has been no news since he was meant to be having his medical? Maybe there was an issue?
Dejan Ljubicic looks an interesting prospect though, another player that’s come out of nowhere, looking at his best bits showreal he looks very good but then so does any player with the right amount of editing over many seasons.
I like the fact that he’s relatively tall for a midfielder as we previously struggled with being bullied in midfield against the stokes and Cardiff’s of this league last season. Especially when Amos was needed at CB.
And apparently he likes to shoot!
Seems a good age, played Champs league and a snip at the £3-4mill range.

I'm not keen on the home strip to be honest; seems the "fashion" this season is for the strange curves in contrasting colours on the shorts; the Euro's were rife with that style?
That aside, it doesn't look like a "Leeds" white strip. Often you see teams playing in white; e. g. Swansea, Man U occasionally etc, but they don't look "right, " and never ever look as good as the real McCoy, e. g. the Leeds white strip. Our strip this season is a bit like something Swansea would play in. Just my opinion. I'm sure it will grow on me.

I’m with you Ani regarding our home kit, if this yellow kit is true then I don’t understand why the Red Bull logo couldn’t of been that colour on our home kit, I just don’t know why it had to include red in it, I hate the red on the home kit and I won’t but the shirt for that reason, but the yellow one looks fabulous and I will be buying that one. ?.

Now that the Everton takeover has broken down yet again and the £200million injected by potential suitors Friedman becomes further debt.
How can the stories about buying Gnoto be true? How are they paying JH wages, how have they been permitted to make the signing s they have already?
I actually feel sorry for the actual Everton supporters, but when comparing the witching we faced with Celino I don’t understand how the epl regulators are not taking more direct action to address the issues there?

With now four investors dropping out and 400 Mil lent by two of those investors it does draw a lot of doubt of where this is all going?
Those investors are claiming that there is absolutely no concern for Everton FC but I’m sure they don’t want Everton to go into administration as that will hit them hard as it will for the club.
Everton’s steadfastness to hold onto Jarred Braithwaite must be very precarious now, something surely has to give in this whole saga?
When you sail too close to the wind for too long the hard consequences do usually take its toll in time.

I absolutely love it Baz ? I think it is far and away the most exciting and unpredictable league in Europe.
I mean, I wouldn’t turn promotion down, but as a spectacle and considering your average supporters rights and views give me the championship every time.

Same here Class, it is what it is mate. Promotion would be amazing and all that but like you say The Championship is a league of its own, it’s more exciting and the games come quick and fast. I love the midweek games which rarely happens in The Premiership and the biggest thing is it’s exciting because we are challenging to win something whereas it’s about not getting relegated in The Premiership. Yes there are no Liverpool’s, Man Utd’s etc and instead Portsmouth, Oxford etc but for me it’s more exciting when you are watching expecting a good result instead of watching and praying that we don’t get thumped! Saying all that, promotion would be good, and this is my opinion only. ??.

I agree Class; Championship is about expectation rather than hope for our club. I genuinely prefer it as a spectacle. Promotion is what we all want, but its not like when Wilko got us promoted. Then we could genuinely compete, because a promotion winning team = a decent mid-table or better Div 1 side at the time. It's clear that its no where near like that now and its not going to change anytime soon.
In hindsight, it would have been better if there had been a super league breakaway.

Firpo probably had his best season for us last year, there were still defensive errors but going forward and assists were excellent.
If we sold Cree and we played a 442 you could easily see Firpo as an effective wing back in front of the full back.

Based upon your previous review of Harrison Burrows I would definitely pinch him from Sheffield United. For a top team we have been without a decent set pieces player for too long now, and the lad has very good goals/ assists stats in div one.
We can probably guess that if playing a back four it will most likely be Wober at left back? With Sam Byram as back up for either side at full back, so it seems very unlikely, just hope Burrows doesn’t turn into Leif Davis 2.0 for the blunts.
