Spurs allegedly have agreed a new loan for Solomon with Fiorentina believed to have included a buy-option clause worth around £8.7m in the agreement.
Seems good value, but we probably have higher priorities following Rodons injury and the striker cover requirements.
1.) 02 Jan 2026 15:54:10
I think we got Okafor instead of Solomon but 8-9 certainly a bargain imo.
A new CB and a 10 definitely higher priorities.
2.) 02 Jan 2026 16:26:53
Don’t really need another winger given the new system.
3.) 02 Jan 2026 21:37:24
Maybe we don't but Willy G isn't getting much game time (and I wish he was) and if we're not going to play him then he could be sold at a big profit. At £8m Solomon would be a good, cheaper replacement. MS came up with goals at the right time last season.
4.) 04 Jan 2026 20:29:42
Don't forget Gnonto came with a huge sell on clause (40% I believe) so we won't make as much from a sale as you'd hope.
02 Dec 2025 18:07:00
Read with interest there is a short recall clause on Joffy in Jan window, now he’s scoring goals for fun, but the club wanted to sell but couldn’t agree a deal.
Now talk of £8million offer, I loved jiffy sadly I’m not convinced he’s epl level.
But £8million doesn’t get you a lot these days, but we need goals from somewhere.
1.) 03 Dec 2025 00:02:10
Not prem league level. Take the 8 and buy Solomon.
2.) 03 Dec 2025 14:21:13
Should have bought Solomon in the summer Aus, cannot understand for one second why we didn't get the deal done.
Well I can, our recruitment team are Pony.
3.) 03 Dec 2025 15:26:00
He didn't want to move up north. His family are in London.
4.) 03 Dec 2025 17:38:11
But he's on the continent now, that well known part of London.
5.) 05 Dec 2025 02:26:09
Maybe he was being polite and just hates Leeds.
Thinking about it, rothwell said he wouldn't sign permanently at Leeds because his family were in sarrfampton. then he moved to Glasgow.
Hmm.
29 Jun 2025 07:46:19
Linked with Madhi Camara, whose stats are far better than Diaras last season and could be half the price.
Probably clickbait but looks a player either the 8 or 10 position if true.
1.) 29 Jun 2025 11:12:10
Read that one too, plus Viera's not so high opinion od Diarra! At 30mill, we may have dodged a bullet? Dunno personally tbf!
16 Dec 2024 22:24:31
Ben Godfrey linked again probably only because of history with Farkey, think we can do much better and definitely not EPL level for me.
1.) 17 Dec 2024 12:03:41
Indeed Class.
27 Nov 2024 11:00:09
Brighton allegedly willing to let Evan Ferguson go out on a loan in January, now there’s a centre forward who would score goals for fun in the Championship. Horrible feeling he might go to a direct rival though, hope not he’s a cracking player.
1.) 27 Nov 2024 11:18:47
Agreed Class. I’ve also read that he’s likely to stay in the EPL though, with a club in the lower reaches.
2.) 27 Nov 2024 11:41:51
Oh, never read that Brighty but not surprised, but you never know it is Christmas!
3.) 27 Nov 2024 13:37:50
He would probably fair well at his namesake's former club from yesteryear.
4.) 28 Nov 2024 08:41:49
You mean devan utd?
Will Brighton let him go to a epl club? Not sure?
5.) 28 Nov 2024 18:32:14
No Aus. I allude not to the gum chewing hairdryer but Big Dunc.

Five ex Leeds players on the pitch last night, in the Blunts vs Boro game,
Blunts; Paddy, good goal, missed an easy one, Rothwell, sub but sent off for horrendous tackle, KP sub involved in Paddy’s goal looked rusty, and Hjelde late sub.
Boro; Luke played CB and was best of the bunch I thought but none of them looked epl standard.
Malanda at CB for Boro looked an amazing find, but you do have to remind yourself of the chasm of difference between championship and the epl.
Same applies to young Boro skipper Hackney who looks a class above everyone at championship level.
1.) 10 Feb 2026 09:47:49
Was thinking this morning. Think Bor and Ipswich automatic but not sure who else.
It will be interesting to see ( if we survive ) how much better we are to the promoted sides.
Has a change in tactics ( more direct ) opened it up a bit? Does it negate the skill factor of the players the top 5 or 6 buy?
Good luck to all our old boys.
2.) 10 Feb 2026 11:35:29
I was a tad disappointed with Whitaker. Last season I thought he was ready for the PL, and a player we should have considered buying, but he was good but not exceptional.
3.) 10 Feb 2026 12:31:56
It was a good game and should have been 3-2 to sheff utd if not for two Bamford misses.
Great goal from KP to Harmer to Bamford.
I still think we should have picked up KP.
4.) 10 Feb 2026 12:55:21
Surely not mot. Bamford misses. No way.
5.) 10 Feb 2026 13:57:34
I know Aus, it's hard to believe Bamford missed an open net. It's a first!
Joking aside, I was hoping he would be scoring goals for fun in the champo.
Hopefully wilder continues to build a Leeds squad and buys Piroe and meslier from us!
6.) 10 Feb 2026 15:58:19
Nobody will buy Meslier mot.
Window is shut and he can be signed for free in the summer.
07 Feb 2026 15:43:50
West Ham 2-0 up at Burnley Cry scores the opener for them, as OP stated earlier many twists and turns left in this season yet.
Still work for us to do keep up the momentum.
05 Feb 2026 19:22:56
Cheating Leicester finally get their points deduction long after they should have received it, placing them close to relegation zone.
Meanwhile what’s happening with Man Citeh outcome, nope nothing to see here, as you were looking forward to another Wembley final.
1.) 05 Feb 2026 21:09:58
6 points for spending £200 million compared to Leeds £33 million that 2023/ 24 season seems rather lenient. They finished 7 points above us so imo should have been deducted at least 8 points because without those extra players they bought in and kept on very high wages I seriously they get anywhere near automatic promotion.
2.) 05 Feb 2026 21:11:40
I guarantee we'd have got more than 6 points for the same offence.
3.) 05 Feb 2026 21:39:38
Won't give them more than 6 because Leeds could sue as we finished 7 below them.
4.) 05 Feb 2026 21:39:45
It should be 12 points, far too lenient, they really got away with an ultra soft punishment for their cheating.
Indeed, Man City and Chelsea should also be punished if there is any real justice in all this.
I sincerely hope Leicester get relegated, then they will get what they deserve.
5.) 05 Feb 2026 21:42:16
Canada, if it had have been Leeds United, our points deduction would see playing in League Two by now!
6.) 05 Feb 2026 22:06:53
Sad but true Cleggy.
I also think Mo made a very good and likely accurate point.
27 Jan 2026 09:23:36
Really was a game of two halves, but the fact that people are so frustrated, clearly shows the team are more than competitive at this level now.
That’s one loss in nine games now, and I appreciate we have a tough run of fixtures with Arsenal and Citeh included but Wet Sham have Chelsea and Devon over the same period.
Think James Justin epitomises the importance of a fantastic value signing, but more importantly a player that has fitted seamlessly into this clearly very close knit bunch of players with a fantastic team spirit togetherness.
I also totally understand the need for more strikers and more goals, but for THIS season I would be happy for another dominant CB.
I believe we have certainly missed Bijol and as hard as Browncow tried last night he is still a level below the rest of our CB’s and with our expected first eleven we could have nicked a 1-0 and all three points.
But maintaining that team spirit and togetherness with our current form 5 points from our next three games would be an excellent return, as I believe without Bijol we are currently exceeding expectations just now.
1.) 27 Jan 2026 10:00:11
Agree re Justin. Very capable at this level. Impressed. And apart from goal thought browncow was good.
2.) 27 Jan 2026 12:25:00
Excellent post, Class.
18 Jan 2026 11:57:56
Agree with DF, in this was possibly our best win of the season to date.
We completely nullified one of the top form team of the league, without two of our best players in recent weeks in Stach and Bijol.
Thought Gruev was a must sell previously but thought he was excellent yesterday and did more than everything asked of him.
Thought Darlow back resulted in a calmer back four overall.
We now look the side that nobody wants to play and that’s all credit to Daniel, now I would like some extra reinforcements especially at CF and CB but the spirit in this current group looks exceptional so I think they will wait until the near the end of the window.
1.) 18 Jan 2026 13:35:57
Agree with most of that Class, with a couple of caveats / additions.
Defensively, Rodon was his usual assured self, Pasc had one of his better games and was also very composed and commanding, while JJ was a new face in the back 3 and was excellent. I don't believe the presence of Darlow had a jot of owt to do with their collective performances, and had a fairly easy afternoon, but ballsed up big time with that indecisive header which could have cost us.
Regarding Gruev, I think he's another who is an indispensable squad member and has never let us down when called upon. He was equally, if not more impressive vs Liverpool, I think it was?
Like I said, largely agree, but that's my 2pence on those points.
2.) 18 Jan 2026 14:41:24
2pence away Brighty I completely agree with all your comments,
Dropping Peri was a tricky one, people forget how tough it is to come to another league, country, new system but I suppose I was praising Farke’s decisiveness in bringing in Darlow to give Peri a chance to regroup but also send a message.
I think Farke dithered for too long with Ilan but has gone up another gear on his decision making of late.
3.) 18 Jan 2026 17:01:47
Yep, spot on with that Class!
25 Jan 2026 22:27:38
Hadn’t realised he was injured Canada, the actual point I was trying to make is specifically for this season. Certainly until we’re established £30-40 on JSL seems a massive financial gamble and DCL and Namecheck have shown you don’t need to spend silly money to get a fair return.
Just need to get past this season and PSR regulations, whist not unsettling the team spirit, in my humble opinion.
25 Jan 2026 20:26:02
Personally, for THIS season rather than overpay for JSL I’d rather make an offer for Chris Wood, now well down the order at Florists.
12 Jan 2026 09:41:39
Think Seb, injured again on Sunday, which most likely puts pay to any transfer and reaffirms the need for another CB if the right opportunity presents itself.
Mind you, JJ starting to look a very astute bit of business isn’t he.
11 Jan 2026 10:10:46
Is it April 01st? That would be amazing if true, but I wonder if our hard working disciplined approach would be enticing for the young man.
No doubt he’s an exciting talent though.
09 Jan 2026 08:50:59
I’m amazed if this is true, the lad was injured for the majority of the time after joining, but has done pretty well when given opportunity. Hope this is not the player/ agent pushing this as that’s certainly not side before self behaviours.
And being a squad player in the epl is definitely a higher standard than player for one of the lesser teams in the Bungdalesia.
The Dutch lad looks promising from Berlin but I think we need him as well not instead of.
12 Feb 2026 10:48:37
Sacked exactly seven days after he was up for manager of the month award…. its a funny old game someone once said.
11 Feb 2026 14:52:06
But it was a LEEDS player surely that is a lifetime ban for Bogle, and 26pts deduction?
Loved hearing Rosenior bleating afterwards about all you want in football is logic applied to decision making and fairness!
Like valuing your women’s team more than Leeds United and selling them to your own company or flogging a hotel to yourself or circumnavigating transfer rules with “swaps” from feeder club Strasbourg, cheats never prosper.
11 Feb 2026 13:31:05
Totally agree OP, although very encouraged by the resilience and fight in the squad just now there’s no easy fixture in this league and you’re facing teams also fighting for premier league survival.
11 Feb 2026 11:39:54
Evens up over the season Alf, we were far the better team away at Fulham and lost in the last minute to that cruel own goal by Gabby.
11 Feb 2026 09:25:27
Good post OP in particular, the billion dollar bit, puts some perspective into last nights excellent fighting performance and for me, fully deserved point.
It’s the equivalent of racing a Bentley in F1 both are presumably at the prestige end of the market, but in truth there’s no comparison, and in reality we shouldn’t be able to compete as we have.
I’m sure Chelsea feeder club Strasbourg are much closer to us in terms of finances, so a great point, now got to go as I’m of to get a picture of Sesko tattooed where it doesn’t show, how important was that last minute equaliser!
