Cody Drama! scheduled for his Hull medical today, lad has talent but has similar attitude to Spence. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a bigger move further down the line but will need to address his poor attitude first.

1.) 23 Jul 2024 11:36:57
Let the Baz posts flow…….

2.) 23 Jul 2024 15:01:39
1 Shame
2.Badly mistreated by LUFC
3.Davis, Dean, Framed. Cresswell. the list is endless
4.How much is fee as Leeds offered him a contract. so due compensation fee.

3.) 23 Jul 2024 15:03:33
Lovechild no more.

4.) 23 Jul 2024 15:14:05
Think Baz has become ambidextrous. Been vacant a few times over last couple days.

5.) 23 Jul 2024 17:44:50
In his statement on BBC, Drameh emphasizes that Hull made him feel wanted, they welcomed him and want him there. He also says he likes the owner and club management at Hull because they made him feel wanted.

There's no secret that cresswell and farke didn't see eye to eye and that's why he left.

Farke is a divisive manager, isn't he?

6.) 23 Jul 2024 18:21:30
He evidently sure if MOT.

7.) 23 Jul 2024 20:37:00
Don’t think Farke can be held accountable for Drameh tho.

8.) 24 Jul 2024 17:32:59
Baz you've named four players there who all had mitigating reasons as to why they didn't make it to our first team.

One who couldn't get into our first team and had to drop down a league to get game time before finally playing well. He wasn't getting into our first team so he didn't want to re-sign with us and we sold him as a result before losing him for nowt the summer after. That's football, it happens.

Another one who dropped down leagues to get game time as was nowhere near the firsts. Two leagues in this case. That's because we decided to pick and Englang/ Spain youth international as the better CF to integrate to the first team. Who now looks likely to be our starting CF.

One who's had two average to meh loan seasons in the last 2 years and is now leaving. Boo hoo.

And the last one who wasn't good enough to get into our first team. That after a season on loan where he also wasn't good enough to be a guaranteed starter at a lower quality team in the same league.

9.) 24 Jul 2024 17:38:06
Tbf Drameh did decent at Luton. I forgot about that loan, but Cardiff and Brum were average and meh.

16 Jan 2024 19:15:35
Everton could be heading for a fire sale, following the news today that 777partners takeover deal almost certainly dead in the water due to multiple financial irregularities in the states.

1.) 16 Jan 2024 21:22:10
Serves right. Couldn't happen to a nicer team.

11 Aug 2023 20:29:01
Gnoto statement from club….

The statement read: “Earlier this week, Willy Gnonto and his representatives were informed by the club that he would not be sold this summer.

“Following those conversations, Willy felt he was unable to play in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup tie with Shrewsbury Town.

“Despite training for the last two days, Willy has informed Daniel Farke that he still does not feel able to play this weekend and has not travelled to Birmingham for the game tomorrow.

“This is now an internal disciplinary matter and the club will make no further comment, other than to reiterate that Willy is not for sale.

Which translated means he will go but it won’t be cheap, liking this new regime management of the situation.

1.) 11 Aug 2023 22:20:38
Agree Class, everyone is for sale but we hold all the cards.
Long contract, no clause that we are aware of.
If you want him pay up. Right now if a kid is signed from Bristol for 25 mill then I want 35 for an italy international with EPL experience.

2.) 11 Aug 2023 22:41:06
Sue him and his family for contractual treason and unlawful business interruption for one hundred zillion pounds, compound interest, legal fees and luncheon vouchers.

3.) 11 Aug 2023 23:03:52
What Canada said 1 billion percent
What Georgey said 1 zillion percent.

4.) 12 Aug 2023 00:28:37
Georgey we need a Bounty Hunter ( what's Brighty up to? )

to rustle up absent without leave Gnonto.

5.) 12 Aug 2023 02:11:57
Baz If you want a bounty hunter, why will contacting a keyboard warrior help with anything? He's listening to the Balkan waves in his smoking jacket whilst wishing he was training Leeds mainstay Kalvin.

6.) 12 Aug 2023 05:46:21
He hasn't gone apologies, he just doesn't feel able to play whatever that means. The youth of today, honestly.

7.) 12 Aug 2023 06:38:13
Lol Baz.
Yawn (again) George…. ?????.

03 Mar 2023 21:18:53
Being reported we have reached an agreement to sign Barcelona youngster Ilias Akhomach on a four year deal.

Another winger, two appearances for Barcelona first team but refused new contract, captain of Spain’s U19 side.

1.) 05 Mar 2023 06:50:54
Class Reported that he's joining Seville instead.

14 Feb 2023 10:27:06
Tara Martino ex Argentina, Mexico and Barcelona coach linked to club 60 years old, played under Bielsa at Newell Old Boys and went onto manage Newells also.

Quite like an older more experienced head after VO, JM antics on the sidelines we could do with a wiser head to help our young team.

1.) 14 Feb 2023 11:18:49
Will he come mid season?

Does he have a good recent record? NO

Is he what Leeds. need fighting R and potentially trying to get promoted from Championship next season.

probably not.

2.) 14 Feb 2023 15:12:32
To be fair Baz Nuno didn’t rip it up at Spurs but Levy never backed him, my brother Spurs season ticket holder rates Nuno higher than Conte.

Plus I think Nuno is a good option as he has the EPL experience and I like the fact he’s calm and measured after the silly antics of Jesse jumping around, doesn’t show a manager focussed or in control of his thoughts and emotions.

If they’re going to do it, then it needs to happen now!

3.) 14 Feb 2023 15:43:00
Fully agreed Class.

4.) 14 Feb 2023 22:17:45
Most Leeds fans seem to not want Nuno but personally I think he’s exactly what we need right now.

5.) 15 Feb 2023 14:48:22
Yes corky.

it's not as if Leeds United are a top 6 Champions league team that can attract Poch or Tuchel

One could argue that Nuno is above Leeds United level currently ( 17th / 18th in past 2 seasons)

6.) 16 Feb 2023 01:17:08
Think it’s the supposed 8 mill release clause too.

1.) 23 Jul 2024 18:40:54
Very nice ?.

2.) 23 Jul 2024 18:45:50
I’ll definitely buy than one Baz, shame it’s not Admiral but long overdue all the same.

3.) 23 Jul 2024 19:17:25
I am definitely buying this gorgeous beauty too Class .

4.) 23 Jul 2024 20:50:14
Looks much better on than it does on the hanger.

I do like it tbh.

5.) 23 Jul 2024 23:27:28
What a Farking kit. We must win each time we play in it. 49ers and RB impressing.

6.) 23 Jul 2024 23:33:32
I like Firpo as a player and as a person. But every time I see him, I can't help but think "Columbian drug lord"

7.) 24 Jul 2024 00:44:29
Nah. Not for me. Don’t like.

8.) 24 Jul 2024 03:00:09
What's not to like Aus? Seriously?

Oh I get it ; you'd prefer koalas to bulls ? Right?

{Ed001's Note - who wouldn't prefer to be a koala? Seriously, they are the kings of animals. Male koalas sleep about 22 hours a day and when they fancy a bit of sex they just shout until a female koala comes to take care of their needs. They have it sorted!}

9.) 24 Jul 2024 03:02:45
Lol MOTagain . you are spot on about Junior Firpo Escobar ?.

it's that frigging moustache!

10.) 24 Jul 2024 03:51:40
Very persuasive info Ed001

My next life I wanna come back as a MALE koala ?.

{Ed001's Note - I have said that many times mate, they are living the dream!}

11.) 24 Jul 2024 06:22:36
You would encourage a new species of deaf koalas baz.
Sorry all above. Just not my cup of tea. Don’t like the shade of yellow or the shade of blue. Or the stripes. Too messy for me.

12.) 24 Jul 2024 11:57:32
Too messy Aus?

No messy was the mess of a yellow away shirt with large blotches all over it in 2022/ 23 fella.

13.) 24 Jul 2024 14:58:14
Ed I’m now seeing the old cartoon quickly kowala in a new light!

{Ed001's Note - I don't know that one, how old is it?}

New image uploaded to the
Leeds Player Sightings page entitled, If this is real there will be a stampede at the club sore!!

Click picture for larger image

1.) 23 Jul 2024 07:36:52
If this one is true, like the leaked white one, it will go down as an all time classic, and a great throwback, replica type shirt (tho not Admiral) . I’ve been seeing it online for almost a week now! Only one more day to wait to find out!

2.) 23 Jul 2024 07:53:08
Classic yellow shirt
Iconic smiley face
Blue and white stripe trim

All super like.

3.) 23 Jul 2024 08:06:40
Not sure if I love it or hate it ?.

4.) 23 Jul 2024 08:09:08
Remove the bulls Dill and its perfect

Its still good anyway.

5.) 23 Jul 2024 08:11:55
Don’t like the shoulder stripes.

6.) 23 Jul 2024 08:25:00
Think it will look better on than on the rack.

7.) 23 Jul 2024 08:38:18
The one I’ve seen has a blue collar and no white stripe on shoulder, looks more in general modern version. This one aesthetically looks too retro for me.

8.) 23 Jul 2024 09:51:41
We've had a lot worse:)

9.) 23 Jul 2024 12:50:36
If it’s not real, Adidas should give the designer a job! ?.

10.) 23 Jul 2024 14:27:24
A thing of real beauty ?.

11.) 23 Jul 2024 15:01:03
I'm not keen on the home strip to be honest; seems the "fashion" this season is for the strange curves in contrasting colours on the shorts; the Euro's were rife with that style?

That aside, it doesn't look like a "Leeds" white strip. Often you see teams playing in white; e. g. Swansea, Man U occasionally etc, but they don't look "right, " and never ever look as good as the real McCoy, e. g. the Leeds white strip. Our strip this season is a bit like something Swansea would play in. Just my opinion. I'm sure it will grow on me.

12.) 23 Jul 2024 15:29:58
I’m with you Ani regarding our home kit, if this yellow kit is true then I don’t understand why the Red Bull logo couldn’t of been that colour on our home kit, I just don’t know why it had to include red in it, I hate the red on the home kit and I won’t but the shirt for that reason, but the yellow one looks fabulous and I will be buying that one. ?.

13.) 23 Jul 2024 18:27:13
Woody you maybe a tad younger than my goodself but you do know I am sure that Leeds United have had red shirts before .

. Man U have had white away shirts too

A hint of red ain't the end of the world.

14.) 23 Jul 2024 20:39:18
On that one, I totally agree Baz.

19 Jul 2024 12:38:32
Now that the Everton takeover has broken down yet again and the £200million injected by potential suitors Friedman becomes further debt.

How can the stories about buying Gnoto be true? How are they paying JH wages, how have they been permitted to make the signing s they have already?

I actually feel sorry for the actual Everton supporters, but when comparing the witching we faced with Celino I don’t understand how the epl regulators are not taking more direct action to address the issues there?

1.) 19 Jul 2024 13:34:52
Good post Class.

2.) 19 Jul 2024 14:36:01
Class Is that the same as the Friedkin Group?

3.) 19 Jul 2024 15:19:28
Have a day off George! Good post Class, and some good points made ?.

4.) 19 Jul 2024 15:19:38
I couldn't agree more class and don't care if it's Friedman or friedkin.

5.) 19 Jul 2024 16:01:10
Woody Paid or unpaid leave?

6.) 19 Jul 2024 16:48:05
We will all chip in George so you can have it all fully paid mate ??.

7.) 19 Jul 2024 19:07:08
?y ?.

8.) 19 Jul 2024 14:24:38
With now four investors dropping out and 400 Mil lent by two of those investors it does draw a lot of doubt of where this is all going?
Those investors are claiming that there is absolutely no concern for Everton FC but I’m sure they don’t want Everton to go into administration as that will hit them hard as it will for the club.

Everton’s steadfastness to hold onto Jarred Braithwaite must be very precarious now, something surely has to give in this whole saga?
When you sail too close to the wind for too long the hard consequences do usually take its toll in time.

9.) 20 Jul 2024 07:58:47
Indeed OP. As a business, it does finally get to the stage where administration is the only, and best option. Those investors / would have been owners, will be papping it right now! And wee Jackie boy Harrison must have his palm permanently slipped stuck to his face! No wonder Willy was smiling so much last night!
Yet again tho, it will be the blameless fans that suffer the most!

10.) 20 Jul 2024 11:52:51

19 Jul 2024 11:07:19
Appreciate lots can happen before window closes but squad (not just teams) and effort put in by the players at Harrogate may be telling.

1.) 19 Jul 2024 12:14:37
Good job you lurve the Champo Class. it might be many more years of this league for LUFC.

2.) 19 Jul 2024 13:10:57
I absolutely love it Baz ? I think it is far and away the most exciting and unpredictable league in Europe.

I mean, I wouldn’t turn promotion down, but as a spectacle and considering your average supporters rights and views give me the championship every time.

Just a personal view you understand.

3.) 19 Jul 2024 13:37:51
Fair points Class.

4.) 19 Jul 2024 15:26:54
Same here Class, it is what it is mate. Promotion would be amazing and all that but like you say The Championship is a league of its own, it’s more exciting and the games come quick and fast. I love the midweek games which rarely happens in The Premiership and the biggest thing is it’s exciting because we are challenging to win something whereas it’s about not getting relegated in The Premiership. Yes there are no Liverpool’s, Man Utd’s etc and instead Portsmouth, Oxford etc but for me it’s more exciting when you are watching expecting a good result instead of watching and praying that we don’t get thumped! Saying all that, promotion would be good, and this is my opinion only. ??.

5.) 19 Jul 2024 16:26:46
I agree Class; Championship is about expectation rather than hope for our club. I genuinely prefer it as a spectacle. Promotion is what we all want, but its not like when Wilko got us promoted. Then we could genuinely compete, because a promotion winning team = a decent mid-table or better Div 1 side at the time. It's clear that its no where near like that now and its not going to change anytime soon.

In hindsight, it would have been better if there had been a super league breakaway.

6.) 19 Jul 2024 16:45:22
Agreed Ani ?.

7.) 19 Jul 2024 18:07:10
Great post Ani, and excellent point about the super duper breakaway league.,

Oh the irony of the most money grabbing corrupt football authorities in history, stopping the greedy elite clubs from having their very own trough, but only to fine them money (not points or relegation) of which they have oodles of it, but not too much money that they leave, as that hits them…err financially…. but Qatar was so good, I mean it broke so many barriers and it changed so many people’s lives…. Financially mainly, new Rolex don’t mind if I do thanks …is it me or is there a theme in here?

Yep give me the championship any day of the week.

8.) 19 Jul 2024 19:14:36
Well said ? Class 100%.

17 Jul 2024 21:12:07
I wonder what this year will bring for Joffy?

Gone from scoring the goals that helped keep us in the Premier league to almost invisible.

The lad has talent and he did/ does have an eye for a goal. Strange there’s been no talk of shipping him out on loan or for sale, but he no longer drops down to U21’s so past season was hugely frustrating for the lad as a mostly unused sub.

If we are to keep Joffy I hope he’s given a proper chance, I think he can play second striker or even as a 10. Maybe he’s still because Rutter might yet move (hope not)

Actually think he could be better than Aaronson in the 10 role, certainty more of a goal threat and we weren’t exactly overburdened with goal scoring midfielders last season.

All idle speculation as Joffy may still move on, but personally think he’s a good player to retain, play, time will tell.

1.) 17 Jul 2024 21:45:00
Joffy more than good enough . esp at this Champo level

Keep and play him far more this season.

2.) 17 Jul 2024 21:46:56
Agree, Class.
I wonder how he would fair on one of the wings? If Gnonto/ Summerville go, could he slip into their place?

Or put Rutter on a wing, joffy and Joseph as attackers?

3.) 17 Jul 2024 21:52:54
Needs to play for a team with two up top. He's a SS. Not really sure he suits anywhere for us atm other than maybe an impact sub.

Hope he gets a loan so he doesn't rot on the sideline. He's clearly a talented lad, but needs a specific role within a system to really tick. Shame Stewart got injured at Sunderland when Joffy got loaned there. Joffy would have excelled playing next to him instead of being forced to be their lone 9, which didn't really work for him.

4.) 17 Jul 2024 22:37:05
The lad has loads of talent but a little short ofpace.
I think he’d work best in a 433 formation playing on the outside of the three.
A couple of years back I thought he’d be the next big thing he had that much potential. But there’s fine margins in football and maybe he’s not going to hit EPL heights.

5.) 18 Jul 2024 00:34:24
If joffy or Bamford get anywhere near the pitch I’m going to call for farkes head. They are attackers that offer nothing to the team and can’t score. Call me old fashioned but I’m big on my attackers or strikers scoring - regularly.

6.) 18 Jul 2024 01:39:37
Yet 'Old fashioned' Aus .

What about you also being 'big' on Left Backs you know who actually "defend", ie NOT being responsible for goal concessions such as

- not tracking back
- being usually totally out of position
- being always slower than a tortoise or your grannie , sometimes more lethargic and more lackadaisical than a sloth
- unable to tackle for toffee
- a walking yellow card/ red card

You being a big fan of Signor Firpo and all that Aussie ?.

7.) 18 Jul 2024 07:55:26
The post was about Joffy, not Firpo, Baz.

8.) 18 Jul 2024 12:55:05

Aus using a parameter for one player and yet not for another .

Aus seemingly hasn't any answer denying his and this clear and obvious inconsistency.

9.) 18 Jul 2024 14:12:06
Grannie Baz?
How many assists and goals compared to gray and byram.?
How many red cards?
How many goals conceded of his doing compare to all other defenders?
Did Cree look better playing with firpo or byram?
Homework for your day.
You just rant pal.
Can’t be bothered most of the time. And don't really care about stats.
Leeds should be on the offensive. Not parking the bus as you and cresswell prefer.
If one of our plenty of defensive midfielders can’t fill the gap when he sprints forward then on Farke and them. Not him.
As stated. Bam and gel are crap. Sell now.

10.) 18 Jul 2024 14:29:09
3 years of watching Firpo defend enough thanks .

11.) 18 Jul 2024 14:31:02
And Aus . BOTH Cre and Firpo went AWOL most of last 11 matches.

12.) 18 Jul 2024 16:22:03
13 out so it’s reported how man in 3?

13.) 18 Jul 2024 17:32:32
Dunno why you keep singling players out, Baz. The entire team played bad in that stretch. Collectively.

14.) 18 Jul 2024 18:11:39
Rodon was good thoroughout Dill.

DJ was excellent in final upon injury return

15.) 18 Jul 2024 18:27:35
You know what I mean mate. The team put in woeful performances rather than it being specific individuals. We were collectively very bad through that period. Not just X player and Y player.

16.) 18 Jul 2024 21:59:59
Some far more than others Dill . some wingers especially.

17.) 18 Jul 2024 22:28:14
What age are you Bazza?

18.) 18 Jul 2024 23:24:39
Not quite old enough to receive letter from King for 100 Corkster ?☺.

19.) 19 Jul 2024 00:26:56
I will concede that if certain players (Cry/ Rutter) don't play well, then we are more likely to play bad as a team. But on the whole, the team played bad through that period and we shouldn't be relying solely/ so much on two players. Everyone else needed to lull their finger out, too. The burden is on the entire team.

20.) 19 Jul 2024 01:27:19
Fair enough final comment Dill.

21.) 19 Jul 2024 07:53:39
Erm. No. Rodon was not good throughout.

22.) 19 Jul 2024 10:29:21
Didn't wanna say but may as well now haha. He was bad for the Szmodics goal. Got dragged way out of position and lost a crucial header. Then QPR ?.

Firpo probably had his best season for us last year, there were still defensive errors but going forward and assists were excellent.

If we sold Cree and we played a 442 you could easily see Firpo as an effective wing back in front of the full back.

Based upon your previous review of Harrison Burrows I would definitely pinch him from Sheffield United. For a top team we have been without a decent set pieces player for too long now, and the lad has very good goals/ assists stats in div one.

We can probably guess that if playing a back four it will most likely be Wober at left back? With Sam Byram as back up for either side at full back, so it seems very unlikely, just hope Burrows doesn’t turn into Leif Davis 2.0 for the blunts.

Can see he could be a Piroe 2.0 in buying a goalscorer that doesn’t fit your current system.

And as Baz knows I very much prefer the championship over the epl, but it does beg the question IF Joseph who everyone agrees is a fantastic prospect is not prolific in front of goal.

Remember that fateful game against Blackburn we had 75% possession 19 shots but never looked like scoring he gets one in the 82nd minute and we lose the game.

Dill makes an even better point that it’s his first year of scoring that number of goals, but what did we pay for Rodrigo? Rutter £30 million plus.

Converting £25million into a £250 million return is not bad business, me I’m happy to wait and see how young Joseph goes I think he’s a fantastic prospect but I would not be surprised if the board went after Sammy Szmodics.

Not sure DDSW Mullen was touted as the next to breakthrough at CB.

I recall one of the post match interviews after a game when the coach was saying Mullen needed to work on his physicality and not let forwards bully him.

I used to watch and follow the youth teams a lot previously but got out of it due to my late fathers ill health so am probably out of date on latest developments. Spanish was our tough Oracle but sadly has not been posting, but hoping he returns soon.
