Spurs allegedly have agreed a new loan for Solomon with Fiorentina believed to have included a buy-option clause worth around £8.7m in the agreement.

Seems good value, but we probably have higher priorities following Rodons injury and the striker cover requirements.

Classof92

1.) 02 Jan 2026 15:54:10
I think we got Okafor instead of Solomon but 8-9 certainly a bargain imo.

A new CB and a 10 definitely higher priorities.

2.) 02 Jan 2026 16:26:53
Don’t really need another winger given the new system.

3.) 02 Jan 2026 21:37:24
Maybe we don't but Willy G isn't getting much game time (and I wish he was) and if we're not going to play him then he could be sold at a big profit. At £8m Solomon would be a good, cheaper replacement. MS came up with goals at the right time last season.

4.) 04 Jan 2026 20:29:42
Don't forget Gnonto came with a huge sell on clause (40% I believe) so we won't make as much from a sale as you'd hope.

02 Dec 2025 18:07:00
Read with interest there is a short recall clause on Joffy in Jan window, now he’s scoring goals for fun, but the club wanted to sell but couldn’t agree a deal.

Now talk of £8million offer, I loved jiffy sadly I’m not convinced he’s epl level.

But £8million doesn’t get you a lot these days, but we need goals from somewhere.

Classof92

1.) 03 Dec 2025 00:02:10
Not prem league level. Take the 8 and buy Solomon.

2.) 03 Dec 2025 14:21:13
Should have bought Solomon in the summer Aus, cannot understand for one second why we didn't get the deal done.
Well I can, our recruitment team are Pony.

3.) 03 Dec 2025 15:26:00
He didn't want to move up north. His family are in London.

4.) 03 Dec 2025 17:38:11
But he's on the continent now, that well known part of London.

5.) 05 Dec 2025 02:26:09
Maybe he was being polite and just hates Leeds.
Thinking about it, rothwell said he wouldn't sign permanently at Leeds because his family were in sarrfampton. then he moved to Glasgow.

Hmm.

29 Jun 2025 07:46:19
Linked with Madhi Camara, whose stats are far better than Diaras last season and could be half the price.

Probably clickbait but looks a player either the 8 or 10 position if true.

Classof92

1.) 29 Jun 2025 11:12:10
Read that one too, plus Viera's not so high opinion od Diarra! At 30mill, we may have dodged a bullet? Dunno personally tbf!

16 Dec 2024 22:24:31
Ben Godfrey linked again probably only because of history with Farkey, think we can do much better and definitely not EPL level for me.

Classof92

1.) 17 Dec 2024 12:03:41
Indeed Class.

27 Nov 2024 11:00:09
Brighton allegedly willing to let Evan Ferguson go out on a loan in January, now there’s a centre forward who would score goals for fun in the Championship. Horrible feeling he might go to a direct rival though, hope not he’s a cracking player.

Classof92

1.) 27 Nov 2024 11:18:47
Agreed Class. I’ve also read that he’s likely to stay in the EPL though, with a club in the lower reaches.

2.) 27 Nov 2024 11:41:51
Oh, never read that Brighty but not surprised, but you never know it is Christmas!

3.) 27 Nov 2024 13:37:50
He would probably fair well at his namesake's former club from yesteryear.

4.) 28 Nov 2024 08:41:49
You mean devan utd?
Will Brighton let him go to a epl club? Not sure?

5.) 28 Nov 2024 18:32:14
No Aus. I allude not to the gum chewing hairdryer but Big Dunc.

Tin hat firmly in place, but given the scenario we face and points required, does anyone believe there’s a case to be made that we take an FA Cup approach to our remaining away games?

And save our strongest possible team for the remaining home fixtures?

I remain undecided but I could be tempted given our current situation.

Classof92

1.) 20 Mar 2026 10:31:59
Maybe not like the last round of the cup, with ten odd changes, but definitely, one hundred percent. ? Make changes and utilize the squad.
Tanaka, Willie, Piroe, Longstaff and James are some players who can step in.

2.) 20 Mar 2026 10:42:21
Said we have to pick our battles. Some we should win. Full on squad 2 up front. Some we prob won't. Swap and change. The ones in the middle. Start full on but be ready to change at the earliest possible opportunity. It's called game management, I believe. So, with you class and corks. Whether Farke is, remains to be seen.

3.) 20 Mar 2026 11:22:53
Got to be playing the best team available, and 3 5 2 formation for all remaining 8 matches, both home and away.

For me, the biggest concern is Farke setting up teams not to lose (rather than trying to win) . Just one win away from home is a bottom 3 stat.

And please play in our White kit away vs West Ham, Bournemouth and Man U.

In the past three EPL seasons, we have only ever won once away from home (Brentford away 21/22) , not playing in our famous white shirts. there have been sooooo many defeats in those awful uninspiring away kits.

4.) 20 Mar 2026 13:44:34
Aside from the FA Cup game (or games) , we have 8 PL fixtures remaining, every one of which has to be viewed as winnable. Who would have thought we'd take 4 points off Chelsea, or 2 off Liverpool? If we deem some games less important than others, then we'll lose them.

Rotate the squad in the cup game, by all means, but play the best available 11 in all the others until we reach a point when we can say we're safe.

5.) 20 Mar 2026 14:04:23
Yeah, but what is our best eleven, JR, and does Farke really know?
He leaves Bijol out, and continues playing Aaronson.

6.) 20 Mar 2026 16:01:07
Not less important, JR deemed more winnable at home, especially when looking at our points return compared to home and away for the season. Less chance for individuals to pick up injuries, less fatigue. I agree, it's a huge curve ball, but win all or the majority of our home games and we're almost guaranteed safety.

Agree though, if the strategy resulted in a big loss away in Devon it would not be well received, but simply mulling over the concept, really.

As others have said, the Wales playoff game is all risk and no return for ourselves.

7.) 21 Mar 2026 00:54:55
Ask 10 LU supporters to name our best 11 and you'll get 10 different answers. Farke will know what he thinks his best 11 is, but that may, or (most likely) may not, agree with what most supporters think, and will vary from week to week, depending on how they're all performing and who the next opponents are. Chelsea home would probably not have been deemed winnable, but win we did.

I think Bournemouth away is maybe a more likely winnable game than Burnley home, because one is now safe and the other not, but we shall see. My team for tomorrow would line up 5:3:2 as at Palace, except with JJ for Gabby at LWB, Boges for JJ at LWB, and Okafor for Nmecha if he's now match fit, but feel free to disagree. ?

8.) 21 Mar 2026 01:08:33
Sorry, meant 3:5:2 not 5:3:2.

9.) 21 Mar 2026 01:48:40
Bijol for Struijk. But rest ok, JR.

10.) 21 Mar 2026 08:28:29
Bijol starts in a central 3 if JJ is LWB.
Totally agree with that lineup, JR. Okafor can be a big boost for the run in. Hasn't delivered many goals and assists in an injury hit 1st season, but carries the threat to occupy defences and open up spaces.

15 Mar 2026 18:45:13
Pointy end of the season now, liked the line up, really didn’t like the penalty miss, didn’t hated the sending off.

I am struggling to recall a worse refereeing performance, than I witnessed today.

Liked the batting performance, Rodon immense, end of the day a very hard earned point, plus the three teams chasing below us only secured draws too.

Winning our home games is where our salvation will come from, lost Gabby now, but JJ more than able deputy.

Brentford game could be our sliding doors moment of our season.

Classof92

1.) 15 Mar 2026 22:03:16
Not really one for commenting after the games, but come on, GG's second yellow? Never. DCL pen poor, but that's the way it goes. I'm now beginning to get, let's say, a little peed with the decisions against us.

If we play bad and lose, we can all take our views on it, but for me this game was a point I would have taken at start. We did well with ten men so I'll take it, not happy though.

2.) 15 Mar 2026 22:11:37
Agree, Class, the Brentford game is massive, especially with Spurs playing the team I can't stand next week. He must go two up front to take the game to them. As for today, a point you would have snatched an arm off at half time after the unbelievable end to the first half. The penalty miss, which was absolutely awful to watch, not hitting the target when the keeper had gone the wrong way, was criminal, then the very harsh sending off for Gudmundsson left us with a mountain to climb to get anything, but we did.

So, after three and a half games without a goal, let's get back on the horse and beat Brentford and take a big step towards survival.

3.) 16 Mar 2026 02:02:08
Next week will be when the good ship LUFC gets back on course. Spuds and Florists are playing each other, and so they can't both win. Spam are away at Villa, who are overdue a win right now, and we play Brentford at ER, which I fancy us to win.

I reckon this time next week we'll be on 35 points and 5 or 6 clear of the drop zone before the international break, the FA Cup quarter-final and a visit to Old Trashyard. ?

09 Mar 2026 10:42:28
Great result, and some good performances, Namecheck, Gaby and Bijol stood out for me and our back three should be Joe, Bijol and Pascal to season end now.

Opposition aside it was great to see wingers attack their full backs again.

The thing that stands out is what a different side we look when we play with pace and intent, we started slowly and I get that it's to pull players out of position but it gave Norwich hope, when we got the ball forwards quickly they could not live with us, got to maintain that level of pace and intent in our play and I believe we will win sufficient games to confirm our safety, especially at home.

Classof92

1.) 09 Mar 2026 12:02:37
Good post, Class.
Bijol has to get into the team. He's our best defender. It would be harsh on Justin, though, as he's one of our best players since he got into the side.

2.) 09 Mar 2026 13:01:45
Disagree, Class. James and Gnonto are not prem quality. Or Struijk. We played wingers cause v poor opposition. He's too scared to do that in the league, but given the poor depth in the squad. Sorta see his point. Gabby is brilliant. Hands down player of the season.

3.) 09 Mar 2026 15:14:16
I agree, Aus, that consistency-wise neither Willy nor DJ are EPL standard. I was highlighting the refreshing change to see wing play again.

I also agree Farke feels it's too risky, from a defensive point of view, to play them. It's a shame we lost Okafor when we did, as he can scare opponents, but we have what we have.

Faby has been fantastic, but we need him released as a wingback, with Bogle/Justin, otherwise DCL is down to scraps and set pieces.

Don't think we have anything to fear from Palace, but we need two up top and our wingbacks providing better supply, especially without a 10. Real shame we didn't loan one.

4.) 09 Mar 2026 20:13:40
Two up top is a must now, Class.

5.) 11 Mar 2026 06:55:13
Not EPL standard. Better get used to that, because we are not in the same league as the big boys paying 150 mil for one player. Get behind them and stop bashing them for crying out loud.

06 Mar 2026 15:52:07
No easy game in this league, but in comparing the respective run ins including energy sapping European fixtures, I would say in order of difficulty, (I’m assuming Wolves and Burnley are already down) it’s….

Spuds
Wet Sham
Forest
Leeds United

In terms of momentum just now, which needs to change very quickly….

Wet Sham
Forest
Leeds United
Spuds

Huge game Sunday, more in terms of confidence and performance as much as the result, don’t realistically see us winning the FA Cup this year, sorry Vid.

Classof92

1.) 07 Mar 2026 02:18:40
We don't want to be needing anything from last game, that's for sure. Need to be safe by then.

2.) 07 Mar 2026 07:28:05
Couldn't care if we lose Sunday, we won't win it, and only risk injuries.
Only prize for us is staying up, so let's just put it all into that mission.

3.) 07 Mar 2026 10:47:50
Winning is a habit, and we are out of that habit. A win will help the confidence of the team and could make a difference.

4.) 07 Mar 2026 10:57:07
Totally agree, Canada.

5.) 07 Mar 2026 13:51:34
Chris, please don't not apply for tickets if we get to the semi-final & final, and that goes for all the rest of the so-called Leeds fans that don't like the cup. I'm old school, and I love the cup. Winning is a better habit than losing. Allan Clarke is my all-time hero.

6.) 07 Mar 2026 13:56:52
At this point of the season, and with what is clearly at stake, if we are trying to morale boost players with strap lines - adages, then we would most rightly be daffy ducked.

The Cup has not got our name on it, so from that perspective alone, let's not gamble on injuries, & fixture congestion.

Staying up is our Cup Final.

7.) 07 Mar 2026 15:17:48
Of course, I get your sentiments, Gelderd, but I can't see risk to reward being worth another game or 2 max, 1 more round tops. ?

Watch us win it now, that I said it. ?

8.) 07 Mar 2026 16:05:50
Yes please.

9.) 08 Mar 2026 09:40:14
Can't believe all these supporters aren't arsed if we lose?
Hopefully going today, so want to see them win!

10.) 08 Mar 2026 10:04:41
Wanting to win but not being bothered if we lose are mutually cohesive, Adrenalin.

11.) 08 Mar 2026 21:26:29
Alf, we won. Was there, so happy days, even tho my m8s ticket didn't load up. Had to go to ticket office, so missed 1st 15 mins. Nice to see Willy put a shift in. Tanaka OK, but faded!

05 Mar 2026 09:54:35
Hoping we do not need anything from the final game against Sham, sort of agree with what Aus says about resting players, but then you also risk players losing form, on the plus side our remaining home games provide us (I believe) with the best opportunity compared to all the teams at the bottom to get out the relegation mire.

The Elland Road crowd can be that extra man if needed, but as we saw and heard against Sunderland we need positive attacking intent, otherwise the crowd will show their displeasure which ramos up the pressure.

Lack of rotation has returned valuable draws but has left fringe players especially AO and Willy short of form and confidence.

Harsh I know but looking at our remaining home games .

Brentford
Wolves
Burnley
Brighton

If we do not get sufficient points from these fixtures, well the league table never lies.

Unless your Citeh of course who should currently be sitting on a -40point deduction.

Classof92

1.) 05 Mar 2026 13:39:46
Sorta agree with me, class.
It's like the devil you know.
Play them and get beat because they are knackered. Cup game. Who cares. We ain't going to win the FA Cup.
Don't play them, and squad limited, and starting 11 lose form.

Who was in form v Sunderland?
Just need Farke to step up now. Amongst his numerous deficiencies, he has added play for a draw. Boggling.

Hadn’t realised he was injured Canada, the actual point I was trying to make is specifically for this season. Certainly until we’re established £30-40 on JSL seems a massive financial gamble and DCL and Namecheck have shown you don’t need to spend silly money to get a fair return.

Just need to get past this season and PSR regulations, whist not unsettling the team spirit, in my humble opinion.

Personally, for THIS season rather than overpay for JSL I’d rather make an offer for Chris Wood, now well down the order at Florists.

Think Seb, injured again on Sunday, which most likely puts pay to any transfer and reaffirms the need for another CB if the right opportunity presents itself.

Mind you, JJ starting to look a very astute bit of business isn’t he.

Is it April 01st? That would be amazing if true, but I wonder if our hard working disciplined approach would be enticing for the young man.

No doubt he’s an exciting talent though.

I’m amazed if this is true, the lad was injured for the majority of the time after joining, but has done pretty well when given opportunity. Hope this is not the player/ agent pushing this as that’s certainly not side before self behaviours.

And being a squad player in the epl is definitely a higher standard than player for one of the lesser teams in the Bungdalesia.

The Dutch lad looks promising from Berlin but I think we need him as well not instead of.

Bit harsh, Aus, get the frustration, but I thought, in admittedly a very poor game, we were by far the better side.

Tactics were right, in that he did start with two up top, in an away game, but had to sacrifice Nanecheck after Gaby was wrongly sent off.

DCL has missed two pens as I recall now. It should have been Nanecheck taking it, and don't forget, Aus, Struick was our penalty taker in the Championship, but lost the role after also missing from the spot.

Stach should take them for me. He strikes the ball so purely, he'd put the keeper in the back of the net too!

Admittedly, it was a huge opportunity lost. Thankfully, none of the teams below us were able to capitalise, so in terms of games left, we were no worse off from when we started the day.

Also, defensively we look incredibly strong and robust. Rodon, Bivol and Struick are a better combination than any of the teams below us, and how many clear-cut chances did we give up in that game, especially second half with 10 men?

I appreciate technically we will be poorer than most we play, but in terms of effort and fight, and resiliency, I think we have been excellent. Think back to those woeful displays at Brighton, Burnley and Forest. We are now unrecognisable from those games.

Agree with Corkeys concerns over goals drying up, but think (pray) that will change with Nanecheck given a few games up top with DCL. Beat Brentford, and things will look and feel very different.

Totally agree with the two up top posts, as OP said previously, it’s all about the right intent now. Go hard for that win, and be frustrated with a draw.

Set up for a point. well, we know only too well how that story ends.

Bijol, for me, is close to, if not already, our best defender and the greatest threat in the opposition box, and must play from here on in.

Other than Okafor, full team to choose from.

Palace just played in the Conference League and are away against AEK Larnaca again on Thursday, no excuses today. We must significantly outrun and outfight Palace today.
