Leeds United, monitoring FC Midtjylland striker Franculino Dju, with his Danish club prepared to sanction his departure this summer but only for a record-breaking fee.
Newcastle, Everton and Brentford also said to be interested. Must admit never heard of the lad and know nothing about him but the word striker is exciting.
1.) 21 Jul 2026 08:36:28
Picked up from Benfica as a 19 year old on a free. Had three decent seasons in Norway, especially the last one. A big step up to the Premier League though.
2.) 21 Jul 2026 15:47:45
Denmark, not Norway - close though.
08 Jun 2026 09:25:51
Coventry bid £20m for on loan Brighton Carl Rushworth.
I think that is still excellent value for the 24 year old English keeper, and a far better option than Nick Pope and an upgrade on Darlow in my opinion.
1.) 08 Jun 2026 13:22:41
Yep. Here we go again. Outsmarted and outbid by lesser teams.
2.) 08 Jun 2026 13:46:08
Of course he was on loan to Coventry last season, so a bid from them was virtually inevitable.
3.) 08 Jun 2026 14:15:17
Brighton have 2 good, very dependable 35 year old gks in Vebruggen and Steele.
But even so, if Brighton were to sell 24 year old Rushworth this summer, that suggests for me they don't rate him that highly.
Brighton are also renowned for getting top dollar from any player sale (rated highly by them or not) , so will be looking for more than £20 million imo.
By the way, Coventry, with Rushworth in a weak standard Champo, were still shipping in a goal per game. ?
4.) 08 Jun 2026 15:15:37
Accidentally thumbs upped Class of 92's ridiculous reply. How exactly have we been outsmarted to sign a keeper we have never had any interest in?
5.) 08 Jun 2026 15:19:11
Rushworth has played nearly 200 games, but not one for Brighton, and I think he's one year left on his contract. Time to cash in Rushworth for good money.
Their current senior keepers are ok, and they have a youngster coming through - James Beadle. He might end up the best of them. Only 19.
6.) 08 Jun 2026 15:31:43
Hmmmm. That wasn't Class who made that reply. I guess, 'tt' stands for tut tut?
7.) 08 Jun 2026 16:23:09
Aha, Dune, only one year left on his contract.
In that case, Brighton might not get top dollar for him.
8.) 08 Jun 2026 16:48:41
Brighton (Matt Ryan) aside, has a fantastic record for signing and developing keepers. Walton, a very good keeper, went to Ipswich for a song. Beadle is highly rated, but, for the supporters, believe it or not, Jason Steele is still far and away the most popular keeper.
Tom McGill is the next keeper to make the next step (loan club) this coming season.
Verbruggen's agent is not hugely popular, as he is constantly trying to market him out to Spuds/Bayern.
Don't think we will actually sign a keeper (actually, I believe we do need one, though) . Karl is a great back up, but we have to look to improve every year if we want to maintain our EPL status.
Nothing in my post about being outsmarted. Just love my club to sign a fantastic young keeper we can rely on for a good few seasons.
9.) 08 Jun 2026 17:18:40
Baz, one year left on Rushworth's contract, but an option for a further year.
10.) 09 Jun 2026 07:22:17
They will trigger the extension, thus increasing the sale price.
11.) 09 Jun 2026 18:58:58
The English market is absolutely nuts.
12 Apr 2026 21:35:55
See we’re linked with Brighton keeper Carl Rushworth. Have seen this boy play at senior level since he was 17 years old, he’s a fantastic keeper. Be amazed if Brighton sell him, with rumours over Ver-Bruggen leaving but we should definitely out bid Coventry or anyone else for him, future England international, he’s that promising already, better than Trafford in my eyes.
1.) 13 Apr 2026 19:43:53
I heard great things about him last season and apparently he's been great this season.
20 million should do it by all accounts?
2.) 14 Apr 2026 00:24:26
Best friend is a Cov fan, so I do watch a number of their games.
He looks like he'd be a step up on Perri for sure.
3.) 16 Apr 2026 19:32:35
He's not the biggest keeper but he's always done well and is liked wherever he's played.
He's 24, played nearly 200 games, but not one for Brighton. He must be getting to the point where he has a decision to make if he wants to further his career.
02 Jan 2026 09:38:13
Spurs allegedly have agreed a new loan for Solomon with Fiorentina believed to have included a buy-option clause worth around £8.7m in the agreement.
Seems good value, but we probably have higher priorities following Rodons injury and the striker cover requirements.
1.) 02 Jan 2026 15:54:10
I think we got Okafor instead of Solomon but 8-9 certainly a bargain imo.
A new CB and a 10 definitely higher priorities.
2.) 02 Jan 2026 16:26:53
Don’t really need another winger given the new system.
3.) 02 Jan 2026 21:37:24
Maybe we don't but Willy G isn't getting much game time (and I wish he was) and if we're not going to play him then he could be sold at a big profit. At £8m Solomon would be a good, cheaper replacement. MS came up with goals at the right time last season.
4.) 04 Jan 2026 20:29:42
Don't forget Gnonto came with a huge sell on clause (40% I believe) so we won't make as much from a sale as you'd hope.
02 Dec 2025 18:07:00
Read with interest there is a short recall clause on Joffy in Jan window, now he’s scoring goals for fun, but the club wanted to sell but couldn’t agree a deal.
Now talk of £8million offer, I loved jiffy sadly I’m not convinced he’s epl level.
But £8million doesn’t get you a lot these days, but we need goals from somewhere.
1.) 03 Dec 2025 00:02:10
Not prem league level. Take the 8 and buy Solomon.
2.) 03 Dec 2025 14:21:13
Should have bought Solomon in the summer Aus, cannot understand for one second why we didn't get the deal done.
Well I can, our recruitment team are Pony.
3.) 03 Dec 2025 15:26:00
He didn't want to move up north. His family are in London.
4.) 03 Dec 2025 17:38:11
But he's on the continent now, that well known part of London.
5.) 05 Dec 2025 02:26:09
Maybe he was being polite and just hates Leeds.
Thinking about it, rothwell said he wouldn't sign permanently at Leeds because his family were in sarrfampton. then he moved to Glasgow.
Hmm.

Definitely with considering Krejci, Sane and especially Bueno from Wolves all performed well and have experience of the EPL, has to be a better option than an unknown.
1.) 07 Aug 2026 21:24:27
My views on each one:
Krejci offers some versatility. His natural position is CB; he can play CDM and apparently lb, but as a true emergency at lb, not a backup level. Issue is Wolves paid £26m for him, and we can't do that and all the other positions unless we do a big sale.
Good player. Not needed in the scheme of things right now.
Bueno - a definite yes.
Mane - a definite yes.
If Wolves want £35m and Dan James for the pair, do it in a heartbeat. haha.
03 Aug 2026 09:19:26
Our house on flightpath to Gatwick and out feeding fish this morning, fairly certain I saw our new keeper “James” waving out the window from a Jet2 flight returning from Tenerife!
Now, it was only a fleeting glimpse, but the hands were a dead giveaway for a no 1 keeper.
So expect rapid developments today or tomorrow, you’re very welcome.
1.) 03 Aug 2026 09:58:23
Hopefully Class.
And, hopefully, an LB and striker are on plane too.
2.) 03 Aug 2026 11:39:26
You reckon he went to London for his holiday, Class? Can't blame the bloke. Bit of sunbathing on Canvey Beach, a pint and a packet of crisps at The Lobster Smack. Living the dream, these footballers.
3.) 03 Aug 2026 12:34:23
No Aus Tenerife, but Jet 2 £37 cheaper out of Gatwick, and easy to transfer to Leeds United private jet. ?
4.) 03 Aug 2026 13:31:41
Can't knock a £37 saving, particularly on his paltry salary.
5.) 03 Aug 2026 13:57:24
Since LUFC don't actually possess a "private jet", hiring one might cost a tad more than £37.
6.) 03 Aug 2026 14:04:32
Don't they, JR? I thought most prem clubs would. Didn't know that.
Must have sold it when we got relegated.
7.) 03 Aug 2026 14:35:05
Bogof deal with Risdale's goldfish, Aus. ?
30 Jul 2026 19:26:04
In addition to “James,” I would offer to Leeds United reserves ex players FC.
Any from Gelhardt, Piroe or Largie in exchange deal for Michel Cooper as a strong number two back up keeper.
21 Jul 2026 19:23:02
30 on the US touring party, including Perri and three other keepers, eight juniors but Largie and Gelhardt not invited.
1.) 21 Jul 2026 20:27:34
Farke is at times infuriating.
Largie deserves a chance to shine .. as he did whenever he played for Leeds and indeed Valencia.
2.) 21 Jul 2026 20:36:19
Absolutely agree, Baz. He might be a squad player, but he adds some threat going forward. Sometimes you need a super sub.
3.) 21 Jul 2026 20:39:59
Largie dont fit, Baz. His attitude is the problem, and that is as important to this team as ability. Players are left out for a reason. At least DJ is going, eh dude. ?
4.) 21 Jul 2026 20:44:58
Indeed, Dune, he does.
Another stubborn Farke error freezing out players (and them then being sold ridiculously cheaply) .
5.) 21 Jul 2026 20:49:23
This so called 'attitude' thing Davey is wayyy overplayed ..by Farkey.
A maverick player or 2 please at LUFC ...
Does the player have talent?
And
Is he performing on pitch?
6.) 21 Jul 2026 21:04:05
Read that he's injured.. In Farke we trust. ???
7.) 21 Jul 2026 21:11:38
This happens all the time. If a player has an attitude or fall out with the gaffer, he's off, and probably how it should be, and sometimes sold on the cheap.
We don't like to critique Wilkinson, but did exactly that with Cantona.
8.) 21 Jul 2026 21:27:56
MG
I love and adore Wilko, and I prioritize all his magnificent achievements in raising the Leeds United Phoenix from the Ashes.
But, man, that was his one huge kamikaze mistake, selling a maverick supreme talent in Cantona. and, worse still, selling him at the time to our closest rivals, Man U, fgs, and for a paltry £1 million, fgs.
Man U fans dined out on that for numerous years, and numerous EPL trophies, and Leeds United faltered quite a tad from champions status because of it.
Until Graham and the DOL era took over and improved matters again.
9.) 21 Jul 2026 21:41:53
I'm still smarting over it, Baz. ?
But for the record, I'm a Largie fan and would love him to stay.
10.) 21 Jul 2026 22:03:03
No Wober or Okafor either.
11.) 21 Jul 2026 22:07:55
Cantona went because he was bangin Leslie Ash, allegedly, apparently, maybe..
12.) 21 Jul 2026 22:43:01
Okafor on extended leave due to World Cup exploits. Chance for Gnonto to show if he is ever to reach his potential.
13.) 21 Jul 2026 22:51:38
Maybe they're working on a deal for him to go back to Valencia, or somewhere else. ?
14.) 21 Jul 2026 23:49:29
Okafor on leave due to extended WC exploits?
Cmon, 19 minutes!
Somebody will say he's been training last six weeks, God bless him.
If it wasn't for my decades of years watching Leeds United, I don't actually think I'd watch football anymore.
15.) 22 Jul 2026 00:02:08
I believe it's actually a FIFA ruling, Corkey.
{Ed001's Note - yes 21 days, but they can choose to cut it shorter themselves.}
16.) 22 Jul 2026 01:25:26
Lee Chapman always rubbished the suggestion that Cantona was having it off with his missus, and they're still together 30+ years later.
I always thought that MU secretly tapped him up with an offer of more money (lots more) than we could afford, but we'll probably never know, unless Sgt Wilko writes it in his memoirs.
{Ed001's Note - the thing was Cantona would become legendary for shagging everything and anything, so it is difficult to believe Chapman. On his days off at Man Utd Cantona would tour brothels etc.}
17.) 22 Jul 2026 08:12:26
Going back to the start of the thread, it's of no surprise Valencia didn't want Ramazani, with what has been reported, his very bad attitude within the club and a complete disregard to carry out team tactics on match day.
He scored six goals and a couple of assists, which is ok but hardly outstanding. Good maverick players can get away with playing their own game, but Ramazani is no exceptional maverick.
He might get away with scoring a bunch of goals in a season, but by not playing with the team's tactics he'll probably give away more chances and goals to the opposition.
A big no for me on self before side Ramazani. He can do one.
18.) 22 Jul 2026 13:19:13
Yeah, yeah OP.sigh.
Put your savings on Valencia signing Ramazzani this summer. He is their super sub (he is a sub not a starter) who comes on and scores and assists.
Imagine Leeds had a multiple goalscoring and assist sub that won us games.
This alleged 'attitude' guff reports from Valencia is imo nowt more than a tactic to try to considerably lower the transfer fee.
Wait and see this Ramazzani to Valencia transfer happen towards the end of the window.
19.) 22 Jul 2026 14:46:57
Agree, Baz. Seems like everybody in management wants to gift our players away. Farke could have taken large to USA, increased his value. But no. Let's take 4 keepers and youth that he hardly plays anyway. Bit of a boys' club going on. Need the know stuff. Baffling.
20.) 22 Jul 2026 14:54:43
Indeed, Aus 100, spot on..
21.) 22 Jul 2026 21:10:39
Believe what you want, but Corberan has been on Ramazani's case for most of the time when he was not injured.
From the reports I've read, there's no way Valencia will be buying Ramazani, even at a cut price.
He's another player we just can't get rid of.
No doubt he'll be loaned out to another club next season.
22.) 22 Jul 2026 23:44:06
Deary me, OP. Don't believe everything you read, mate.
23.) 23 Jul 2026 06:52:25
No smoke without fire, Corkey.
24.) 23 Jul 2026 09:02:38
I don't, Corkey, but I do trust Farke, and if he says Ramazani is a bad egg, then that's what he is.
Also, Corberan's close ties with Leeds United mean I don't think he needs to make fairy tales to get a cut price on Ramazani if he did want him, which I seriously doubt.
25.) 23 Jul 2026 11:31:43
Not impressed by your fanciful suggestion that Leeds United ownership would give Valencia a cut ✂️ price deal on Ramazzani because of 'Corberan's close ties with Leeds United'.
21 Jul 2026 09:11:50.
Wrexham game early Sunday am, purely for building match fitness at this stage of the season whilst increasing our global presence shirt sales, but please do not put too much stall by the result win or lose, it’s very early in the process.
Be good to see how our two new signings and what formations we try all the same.
1.) 21 Jul 2026 10:16:12
Not sure at all about it being 'very early' in the process, Class?
And, just a month to the start of the new season. Not long at all.
2.) 21 Jul 2026 10:49:38
Our WC starts, Baz mate. ?
3.) 21 Jul 2026 13:40:35
Agree. It's Wrexham. We should smash them. Even though Devon didn't. No excuses. Are we happy to lose all pre season games as none matter? Nope.
4.) 21 Jul 2026 14:56:02
The White Dawn is already upon us, peeps. We are at about 5 past 8 at the moment, it's gonna be a glorious day. ?
5.) 21 Jul 2026 18:41:22
Avoiding injuries is my main priority from pre season games.
13 Aug 2026 10:36:32
We could do with the Brighton geezer negotiating our transfer fees. That seems about half price for Joffy at current prices, his age, and goalscoring record. Think Championship is his level, but sure £8/9 million closer valuation.
06 Aug 2026 19:46:45
Finally?
What has he missed exactly? A few shirt-sale friendlies. Now he will be rested and raring to go at the pointy start of the season. Hopefully he will be with us for ten years, making the 20% sell-on clause meaningless.
Brilliant signing. He has definitely upgraded our team to date. Four or five more of a similar ilk and we're pushing the best window to date.
05 Aug 2026 08:11:29
Lots of people are still not grasping the concept of a 'rumour'. Can I suggest, if it triggers you in any way to such an extent where you feel the need to make derogatory comments to people posting said rumours, this page is definitely not for you.
There's the banter page, discussion page, sightings page, all there for you to enjoy.
Although, given some of the irrational responses directed at Alf, maybe National Geographic would be a more suitable outlet. Honestly, you'll be so much happier, and you can leave this page for those who continue to enjoy a bit of harmless rumours fun.
03 Aug 2026 11:27:13
So, it was him waving to me from the Jet2 flight inbound from Tenerife then!
Brilliant. Let's get him signed and in goal asap. Still require a strong number 2 keeper, imo.
31 Jul 2026 14:52:38
Aus, you're back!! I laughed out loud at that little gem. ?
13 Aug 2026 18:48:03
Fully agree. We need another striker, but let’s be realistic here, DCL is our number one striker and that ain’t changing this season.
Think Fleming would be the perfect buy, and with 11 goals last season in a very poor team, that shows there’s something about him.
Namecheck has obvious limitations, but I would still keep him. He’s a free transfer player, that, like Willy and AO last season, seldom get the opportune number of games, minutes, to get up to speed, rhythm, and consequently, form.
Nevertheless, Namecheck scored six very valuable goals last season, the same as Anthony Gordon, with less minutes on the pitch than Gordon, and a very respectable goal every 180 minutes.
Fleming was better, with a goal every 166 minutes, DCL every 190 minutes.
Of course there’s assists and what each player brings to the team, but we shouldn’t underestimate how difficult it is to find form with only scraps of minutes, appearances.
Now we should definitely add someone like Fleming, but will he want to come knowing he’s number two in the pecking order?
Hope he does, or we at least add another option, but I say keep Namecheck for me, for this season at least.
13 Aug 2026 12:38:29
Well, he was Free if that helps with your concerns.
He is going to be a very important signing, I believe, and I hope will improve us greatly in terms of set pieces, passes between the lines, service for DCL and, of course, goals.
11 Aug 2026 10:24:03
Typo there, I think, Baz. Hull with 19 points?
Was that a rounding error that should have said 2 points? I think Hull have a very strong chance of smashing the lowest ever EPL points record this season.
However, based upon my previous predictions record, that should put them top six!
10 Aug 2026 08:43:23
Pleased to hear Cairns had a much improved performance. Although I haven’t seen the game, Farke and players have said multiple times they love what Cairns brings to the group, akin to Henderson in the England team.
But if you’ve ever seen the Salford documentary, Cairns is a million miles away from EPL quality in my opinion, and wasn’t even nailed on as number one for Salford in League Two.
Add to that the fact that the Club were ok to let both Darlow and Mess go, and it says to me they will definitely be recruiting a new number two as backup to 'James' if they don’t. We're in big trouble imo.
08 Aug 2026 19:04:26
My brother got me tickets! I said no thanks, sell em, bro. Bad choice of opponent in Dublin, and a bad day for it. Stewards at Aviva said the Leeds vs AC Milan game was one of the best atmospheres he could remember in his 11 years working there!
Stach with a belter of an equaliser, and our line up is now significantly stronger than that game.
Fantastic day night!
