Taken from the BBC Football gossip page. Personally I'd agree with Farke, worth keeping Paddy until the end of the season unless he wants to leave then let him go.

Of course we need a new striker, and I’ve written as much on enough occasions. (Enough being 2 or 3, not your own preferred umpteen…)
As someone else said in a separate thread, BamBam is the only big name I would be allowing to leave in Jan if an opportunity arises for him to move on. Better for us, and better for him, and he would leave with Thanks from most fans.

Club are asking for 15-20m to consider selling him. Even at 20m, I would expect there to be add ons; still young, still a lot of potential there to go on to bugger and better things, based on his break through form, not when he was told to slow things down.

Gruev is solid in midfield, plays smart, fast football, is accurate with passes, even those at angles Jimmy White would wince at, and is often a solid wall stopping their attackers.

6 points off Brighton who qualified for Europe. What could have been if we started the season like we ended it?
If Palace win their European trophy, then there'll be 10 English teams in Europe next season. Most of those teams, I suspect, won't have the squad depth for competing on all fronts, probably prioritise Europe.
I think we can take advantage of that, the right players recruited and finish higher up the league than this year.

It will be a lot like this season, where we will have a lot of Sunday games because of all the teams in Europe.
If you look at the start of this season, because of the above, we had long gaps between games, and I'm convinced it was a disadvantage; we never got any momentum.

Obvious disappointed for DCL on a personal level, sure he would have jumped through hoops to get on that plane to the US. From a Leeds fan perspective I'm glad as he'll get a good rest over the summer, come back fully refreshed and less likely to be injured.

My son reckons Farke is considering playing 3 CB's, would make sense. I'd like to see Bijol with Rodon and Strijk/ Amps. With Gudmundsson and Bogle playing further forward almost as wingers ove Harrison and Brendan. 3 CM's and 2 up front, possibly Nmecha and DCL.
Maybe Farke has finally come to realise that BA and JH are no good at this level on the wings.

The players we signed over the summer have probably got similar cluases in their contracts that Orta and Co. agreed with 20% wage reduction and can leave on loan if we get relegated. Think we'll start seeing more and more of this sort of contract in the prem, it's a way of attracting half decent players to a lower half prem team.
