Personally, think he's a great addition! Extra LB cover, and we have real strength and some depth at the back.

Really chuffed with that. Think we should be tough to beat this season. Bit more creativity with Wilson. You never know, Okafor might have got himself fit enough for 90 mins. No centre forward cover, which is a worry, but I'm optimistic for a comfortable season.

I never really understand the talk of Okafor only lasting 60 minutes. It's always been Farke's tactics to swap wingers around 60-70 minutes, way before Okafor joined, so I think it's more down to tactics and strength in depth rather than him not having the legs. Alongside Wilson, he's the player most likely to create something out of nothing, so I'd be happy going into the season with him starting, then Gnonto, BA, and DJ as options to come off the bench.
I think recruitment has been top notch this summer, arguably the best in the league. Backups are still needed in a couple of positions, but our strongest 11 looks far better than it has for 25 years. I'm personally very happy with what we've done so far and trust the recruitment team to finish the job over the next couple of weeks.

Okafor simply doesn't get more than 60 min on the wing. Took us a costly while to realise it and start getting him off then. Still, I wouldn't buy another striker. We have 3 after Piroe, and Okafor is one of those. That's 1 more than most clubs. Trying to find someone to sign as backup who is better than N and worse than D, just so we can have 2 more strikers than every other Prem team is a scriduculous waste of money.
Yes, sign someone like Paixeo to strengthen attack, but for goodness sakes go sign Skelly to improve / compete for the first 11 in two spots.

If you look at Okafor's stats from last season, he played substantially more minutes than during any other season of his career. He also averaged 72 minutes in the games he started. A decent return for a high intensity role.

Wages off the books is what we needed.
The whole Harrison saga has been one long mess. A new contract, and the mess of that move to Leicester, and then Marsch playing him as an inverted RW, messed him up. He has gone downhill ever since.
8 G and 8 A in a PL season and a 20 million value. Dreadful management by the club. Meslier is similar, and no sell on for Summerville, too.
Thankfully we now have owners with their heads screwed on.

You only have to see and hear the lack of atmosphere at the big 6 clubs grounds, which I hope we don't end up the same, but unfortunately that's the way it's going as the one off tourist fans will spend more than yiu and me on matchday and that's what they want.
It's no longer the working man's game. At least I have my great memories of the 60s and 70s.

I can't make Sunday, but had / have a hotel for Friday because I booked it when it was a Saturday fixture. I have priority plus membership these days and so far I have always managed to get a ticket.
I log on and join the queue about an hour before they officially go on sale. I seem to join the queue around 5000. it usually takes 20 minutes.

A point we would have all taken before the game, but after that first half performance, a two-goal lead is the least we should have had. Brighton were always going to be better in the second half and they were, but we still had chances to get the second goal. Very unlucky with Tanaka's disallowed effort, but I sensed an equaliser was coming and it did.
They also had a couple of very good chances as both teams went for the winner. Anyway, a good point in the end and we continue our unbeaten run. Finally, a word on Atwell's performance. Garbage.

Another good win last night, a great atmosphere in the away end. I think the game illustrated our need for another striker. I am not convinced with Nmecha as a starter. Apart from his goal contribution, Longstaff was poor. It never seems to happen for him when he gets a start. Elvedi was a big plus, Tanaka and James did well, as did Rodon, (despite a few loose passes) , Muharemovic, and Trafford.
A mention for Aaronson as he really livened us up when he came on. Onto Brentford now with a confident squad who know they will be in for a tough one on Sunday, but it is definitely winnable. I hope we can put one over on Leeds hater Andrews.

1) We definitely need another striker, but think the 49ers will repeat their and Radz mistakes of the 2022 summer window in not signing one.
2) BA gives us much needed energy. plus he looks a lot more self-assured, confident, and physically stronger since last seez.
Peeps should have more faith in BA.
3) Great to see Man of the Match Danny James have an excellent match. Keep going. I always believed in him. Again, peeps should have more faith in DJ. ?
4) Elvedi looks class. Our CBs are easily our main strength. ?
5) Brentford look pretty good, but Leeds will beat them. 2 -1.

I think Savinho (or Savio, as he goes by now) didn't get a fair crack at City. He honestly wasn't bad in his first season there. Not that the glimpses of promise warranted such a profit for City. But I reckon he will be their best wide man, considering Kulusevski, Odobert, and Xavi Simons are long term absentees.
Spurs will be fine around mid-table. Porro and Van der Ven are yet to feature after the World Cup and knocks, respectively. Archie aside, that defence never played at Spurs before. Put those two in, alongside Robertson and Van Hecke, and it looks fairly imposing.
