Wasn’t Willie absolutely tremendous last night?
Wilson not great but he surely will get better.
I really want a new striker as Nmecha not the answer to start games.
1.) 13 Aug 2026 21:28:50
Willy did have a great game. Hopefully he gets another chance on Saturday to show what he has got.
2.) 13 Aug 2026 21:33:21
Did you not consider the tad shorter username "Corkey2"? ?
Yes, Willy's had some of his best matches for Leeds playing against the auld enemy Man U! Good lad.
And yes, I think pretty much most Leeds fans would agree on us needing to sign a striker. But will we?!
3.) 13 Aug 2026 23:20:19
Re-Corked?
4.) 14 Aug 2026 07:24:24
Says a poster who clearly recently doesn't rate Gnonto because of his stats.
Yet another turn around, Baz?
5.) 14 Aug 2026 07:57:03
Think it's fair to say, Baz, he's not been that good for a long time. Perhaps he feels it's time to shine. His performance in the past would align with your previous opinions, like many, well, maybe not someone who thinks they're always right. Keep them coming, Baz.
6.) 14 Aug 2026 08:45:34
Indeed, Whitey. ?
OP, as I said above, Gnonto's best matches tend to come vs Man U, particularly the 2023 match, the 2-2 draw at Old Trafford, where he was particularly dangerous and actually scored.
7.) 14 Aug 2026 10:06:26
I clearly don't think I'm right with what I presume and post, but Baz clearly does. Clearly, you have biased opinions, Whiteman.
It's very obvious that you both have not witnessed how Farke has now given Gnonto a more dynamic wing role, due to his change in formations from last season.
It's the reason Gnonto's use as an out-and-out attacking winger became non-functional, but now he has been utilized in a pressing wing-back position, where he is prospering.
Gnonto didn't just wake up recently and think he should now start playing good football?
8.) 14 Aug 2026 13:17:30
I have no biased opinion where you are concerned, op, or little interest, to be honest.
I think, if you read others who post, many who wanted him sold to fund replacements to the squad may have had the same opinion, but to be honest you're only ever interested in your views. Onwards and upwards.
9.) 14 Aug 2026 13:27:04
Well said, Whitey..
And, I doubt Willy plays many mins as RWB in EPL this seez.. if at all.
10.) 14 Aug 2026 13:45:45
And that's that, thank you for your honesty, Whiteman. I shall look, perhaps to the way you post, to hopefully learn and improve mine and be a better human being.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and, yes, that even includes selfish, self-centered me.
Just because it's a popular opinion that Wilfred Gnonto should be sold, it doesn't mean that is the same intention of Farke and his coaching staff.
I applaud the coach for that, because he has seen the qualities in this player but needed to find a way to fit him in the squad, which so far looks like it's working.
What's your thoughts on that, Whiteman?
11.) 15 Aug 2026 06:54:00
Op, never said that you should not have opinions. We all have them, so I don't know where you got that. It is very clear that you are constantly unhappy with other peoples opinions, especially Baz. Who, as you say? Everyone is entitled to their opinions, which you attack every opportunity you get in a condescending manner. As I said, many on here were disappointed in the performance of Gnonto; Baz posted that at the current time, but then Gnonto has an excellent game and Baz posted that, yet you dig again.
How about digging all the others that posted he had an excellent game and wanted him sold. Opinion changes; you may think one thing one day and change the next. As for the manager changing formation, that's the same as changing opinion in my book, but you don't post nonsense about that happening. And before you say it, yes I am very happy that Farke is doing well. I do hope you enjoy the season, Op, and get to see as many games as you can.
12.) 15 Aug 2026 07:56:57
It's called conversation or banter, if you like, Whiteman. You totally get the wrong end of the stick concerning Baz's posts. I appreciate and welcome his opinions on this forum, because his particular opinions are very much the opposite to mine concerning our football club, and that creates banter.
There's not much to say when agreeing with a certain poster's opinion, although I'm very happy to say I agree; but it creates more debate when opinions differ.
I don't think you need to be so protective of Baz's opinions. He's very capable of holding his own corner when it comes to banter, and I'll say it again, I welcome that.
Onwards & Upwards.
13.) 15 Aug 2026 08:11:26
Well that's good to know, op.
14.) 15 Aug 2026 12:15:47
Interesting posts, Whitey and OP.
.. and very much appreciated by me, Whitey.

Should have read no way, Ealing!
14 Aug 2026 20:57:04
Piroe is definitely leaving this window. No way he's gonna sit on the bench another season.
14 Aug 2026 20:54:09
No, was Ealing. We are getting 17.5 for Perri.
