What about a free agent Alf?
Some rumours about Josh Brownhill possibly?

Cheshire White

1.) 01 Sep 2025 15:08:38
Harry Wilson a go apparently.

2.) 01 Sep 2025 15:16:22
haven't heard anything about Brownhill myself. adding free agents is possible at any time as far as I know.

3.) 01 Sep 2025 15:47:47
SSN just confirmed we are in talks with Fulham for Harry Wilson.

4.) 01 Sep 2025 17:53:10
Brownhill has been in talks with Leicester, Southampton and Wolves. Looking for minimum £100k per week. A free agent so he can wait until after the deadline when deals have fallen through. I'd still take him but with lower wage but a signing on fee.

5.) 01 Sep 2025 20:02:28
Brownhill to Wolves. Done deal.

6.) 02 Sep 2025 12:39:30
Seems Brownhill hasn't gone to Wolves as reported on the Beeb. Sorry for the false info gents. Personally I would take him for us. Good player.

23 Jul 2025 10:55:23
Livakovic, age 30 Croation goal keeper from Fenerbahce for £6 million currently the latest new number one Leeds are linked with. penalty save specialist apparently so could be a decent deal but Lucas Perri also still heavily linked to us but I'd imagine he'd cost at least double that of Livakovic closer to the £15 to 20 million range.

Cheshire White

1.) 23 Jul 2025 14:17:16
Yes totally agree but his age and price wise I think is a must to get perri because we have nt had a tidy goalie since Nigel Martin, and it would be money well spent to just get the deal done.

2.) 23 Jul 2025 16:11:54
Agree JH get Perri.

3.) 23 Jul 2025 16:34:46
Six million! Sign him up. He’s a top keeper and at that price an absolute bargain.

4.) 24 Jul 2025 06:30:33
Get them both. Make them compete for the slot.

So 3 more defeats to go until Farke is relieved of his duties unfortunately as the narrow home loss will still not wake our owners up . even a new half decent tactically competent manager like Gary O'Neil already installed over the international break instead of going through this torture would have got Leeds a win today imo and who knows a point or two in the next 3 games but unfortunately our owners are incapable it seems of urgently appointing a new pro active coach so we wait for the inevitable to happen and then I expect it will be Jesse Marsch 2.0 to take over.

Cheshire White

1.) 23 Nov 2025 21:23:19
To be fair Cheshire, my late nan could have installed the belief and tactics to have beaten Villa today.

{Ed025's Note - she must have been some woman Leeroy..

2.) 24 Nov 2025 11:54:17
She certainly was Ed.

22 Nov 2025 00:53:42
So conflicted on Sundays game as I hate to see Leeds lose but I truly feel in order for Leeds to have any prayer of surviving Farke needs to be replaced immediately but with the owners having really disappointed me with their backing of the manager after the Forest misery following on from the Brighton and Burnley shocking defeats and countless examples of truly bizarre game management then it looks like it's going to have to take a heavy home defeat and a home crowd's wrath for the owners to finally wake up and realise that Farke has taken Leeds as far as he can.

I think the odds of survival with a new manager are still slim but at least it's worth trying a new approach and going down with a fight instead of a whimper which sadly under Farke is what we are seeing

And of course the owners need to step up too and pull our all the stops to strengthen the squad in January and try and prove they are worthy of owning an EPL club because the evidence so far is they are not.

Cheshire White

1.) 22 Nov 2025 03:57:04
I think a defeat v villa will likely see the axe come crushing down. I just think they should have done it two weeks ago and utilised the break rather than give new bloke baptism of fire. Makes zero sense.

2.) 22 Nov 2025 06:57:24
There are multiple ways of looking at it. Yes bringing a new manager in now could have given time to work with the depleted squad (as most players on international duty) but then the next 5 games results could leave the squad demoralised and any hope of a 'bounce' gone. Or maybe the team don't have much hope of getting anything from the next 5 anyway and it wouldn't effect them.

One thing is for sure, the 9ers won't get rid of DF unless they get someone they want as a replacement. They won't just get rid for the sake of it at this point so if their targets aren't available then DF stays on regardless.

06 Nov 2025 20:56:53
I think Sunday will answer a lot of questions as to whether we have a side that is capable of surviving because defeat will add more weight to the belief that we don't.

The squad is capable on it's day no doubt of raising it's level which I'd say it's done 4 times out of 10 this season but unfortunately to survive that ratio has to be much better
and for that to be the case the players have to have that consistency which better quality players possess.

The owners had the responsibility this summer to recognise and bring in those players which if we get a result on Sunday would definitely give us all renewed hope but defeat I think confirms the squad as it is isn't capable of yielded more than 30 points over the season which I doubt will be enough.

January needs 2 or 3 or probably 4 EPL quality additions which our
owners will have to work their socks off to ensure otherwise their investment will plummet back to the Championship.

I'm keeping everything crossed to see a much improved performance on Sunday against a Forest side who have played away in Europe tonight so we have to show a lot more energy and urgency from the kick off compared to the Brighton game and a fair few other away games too this season.

Hope is still burning just. but after Sunday that hope will either be burning more brightly or extinguished.

Absolutely CW, it's how we react to that last match that will tell a lot. Know a few Florist fans, they hate us lol, no worries boys join the queue. Remember getting a load of flak when they beat us after we came back from the Covid break in 2020, but then of course we went on that run under MB and took the title so hopefully a bit ofipayback due.

I think we will win and confidence will be restored, we know we have a competitive squad, they just need to believe, we need a rip roaring performance from DJ, he hasn't turned up yet!

2.) 06 Nov 2025 22:25:36
Excellent post Cheshire.

3.) 06 Nov 2025 22:59:16
Agree Cheshire.
Only problem is. I don’t think we have any dish left for January or at least not enough.

4.) 07 Nov 2025 01:39:49
Dosh I meant.

5.) 07 Nov 2025 07:32:00
I think Leeds will win comfortably.

6.) 07 Nov 2025 09:41:53
Good post Cheshire, agree that Sunday will definitely be a marker.
Aus, I was reading an article recently that shows by selling Mellier in Jan (a few suiters in the Netherlands I believe) for only £3-4m will enable us to buy a player for for about £23m over 4 years or so due to amortisation, so I think we should have a bit of money to spend.

Whether they spend it, or in the right areas and the right players is another discussion.

7.) 07 Nov 2025 12:09:53
Great post again, Cheshire, imo. Only caveat being whether "extinguished" is the case!
Also a great bit of info MG that I'd not read, but sounds about right based on what we've already been told.
I bloody hope you're right as well, Mo, and i also have a sneaky that we will put in a performance and bag the win! Roll on Sunday!

8.) 07 Nov 2025 13:21:10
Good post boys. Add the money we were willing to splash on deadline day takes us up to about 40 mill. Is that enough to but am and prem striker we have needed for years? I dunno.
Sorry to be a sour strawberry but next game got a draw 1-1 or 2-2 for me. Is that enough?

9.) 07 Nov 2025 14:33:34
For me it isn’t such a exact science to say if we fail against Forest it tells us that we will not likely survive the season.
Farke has over the last two seasons got more from his players after the mid way.
No fit James of Gnonto has left our right flank weakened, I’m looking forward to having Bogle and James uplifting that side of the field. You also have to consider the potential impact of a new signing or two might have also in January.

Forest are struggling this season as their position in the league would suggest and that has been continuing since last April. However since a recent merry go round of coach’s recently, they still have a large squad of talented players who are more than capable of getting the better of us at their ground.

To beat them easily is a bit fanciful, but I do love the confidence MOT.
I’ve never really rated a Sean Dyche team largely due to the way he plays the game. He is now blessed with a team of very capable individuals which I believe he will be incapable of getting the best out of them.
I don’t fear their scoring ability, I’m more concerned about scoring against them.
In my opinion a nil nil draw looks very likely.
Hope we get a bit of luck and break them, it would be a sensational result to get the three points.

23 Oct 2025 17:21:35
So how are we all feeling about tomorrow night?
Nervous?
First time?
No I've been nervous lots of times.

Yeah great "Airplane" film comedy aside it will be no laughing matter if we don't pick up 3 vital points at home to what must be considered on paper right now one of if not the weakest opposition we will face this season.

Owners snd investors have jetted in too so that makes me wonder if they don't like what they see tomorrow night Farke could be axed.

Summerville returning, Bowen who has a very good goal scoring record against Leeds will make this not so easy despite West Ham being horrendous at home they'll no doubt raise their game at our place so I'm keeping everything crossed we can somehow find a winning formula and Farke can live to fight another day at least.

However I do feel the lack of adequate backing this summer was a sign the owners were keeping their options open incase a managerial change was required and funds will be suddenly available for a new boss to strengthen in January.

Can't say I'm a big fan of our owners and just because of that I hope Farke thwarts them and can remain in charge for as long as possible as that will invariably mean the team is picking up points and remaining on course for the survival target of a point per game. Reckon if Farke can get 4 points from the next 3 he'll be okay until December at least.

1.) 23 Oct 2025 19:12:54
Hmmmm, interesting thoughts CW, thing is we can overthink things and speculate on nonenities. Believe the 9ers had a plan and executed it in
Nforcing the defence and midfield which looks on balance good. Of course no two games are alike and we have looked great/ average/ poor at times but that is akin to many sides.

The problem is and has been since ko scoring. I am very confident about tomorrow and it being a springboard for a little run, but then that's just me! ?.

2.) 24 Oct 2025 00:15:08
If we play as we did v Burnley. We will lose and Farke will go.
If he changes the starting line up and rest struik stach Harrison and ba we will win and Farke will stay.

3.) 24 Oct 2025 01:13:14
I'm always apprehensive, it goes with being a Leeds fan like chips with fish. What could possibly go wrong, apart from damn near everything!

4.) 24 Oct 2025 08:07:03
What if we lose and Farke isn't sacked?

We saw that it took a police escort for Martin to lose his job and only because he would have never been allowed back in.

5.) 24 Oct 2025 08:27:31
I think that’s what the big boys are there for. Think Burnley defeat rang the warning bells.
Not 100% a win will save him. We have dropped too many unexpected points. My opinion. Could be wrong.

6.) 24 Oct 2025 09:40:33
Mo, that's a completely different situation. Rangers have been utterly atrocious, we haven't.

7.) 24 Oct 2025 10:36:07
Apparently if we lose he will be gone. Club already sounding out replacements.

8.) 24 Oct 2025 10:54:21
I hope, as I always do, that we'll win and win well, but even if we lose (perish the thought) I don't see Farke being sacked - yet!

9.) 24 Oct 2025 11:34:49
Liam’s coming. Win or lose.

29 Aug 2025 14:44:07
Urgently need at least 2 difference makers or I think we're facing almost certain bottom 3 position come the end of the season so I hope whether the Brighton loan comes off or not the owners strike a deal with Leicester involving cash plus Piroe for El Khannouss and also go and get Mitrovic and then we've got some real stardust in the side instead of what someone else remarked atm we've only got sawdust!

Cheshire White

1.) 29 Aug 2025 15:14:31
Wonder when the championship fixtures come out for 26/ 27.

2.) 29 Aug 2025 16:02:13
Buananotte going to Chelsea and Fernandes signed for W Ham. El Khannous release clause was allegedly low £20 millions and now seemingly talking about mid 30's. Not sure where we look now. Same applies to the search for a decent striker. Looking back at Underwood's performance since Perri signed we'll probably end up with Hamer and Sargent. It's getting late and there's a good chance that we'll end up with expensive dross or pay through the nose for somebody half decent as clubs will now we're getting desperate.

3.) 29 Aug 2025 16:32:20
Underwood the clown of premier league recruitment on fairness to Sunderland they might have overpaid a touch bit if it keeps them up fair play
Parag and underwood pinching pennies will relegate the team.

4.) 29 Aug 2025 17:46:05
Sunderland beat West Ham (who are in a complete mess) and lost to Burnley. Why all the praise that they’ve bought so well and the buying will keep them up?

5.) 29 Aug 2025 22:19:06
Well that's good to know Longblastflan.

If it's Carlos Corberan then for me okay he's better than Farke tactically and more adaptable but I think we're unlikely to get more than about 33 points so relegation feels inevitable but getting relegated on the last day instead of 5/ 6 weeks before.

The owners will be able to control and manipulate easily CC and keep fobbing us fans off and next season in the Championship we'll be a certainty for the play offs so it is what it is and quite underwhelming and so disappointing to be almost certainly be back where we started with imo owners not fit or deserving to own Leeds United and I sincerely wish Red Bull would buy them out and then we can begin to have realistic dreams of becoming a top 10 EPL side at least.

I don't believe The 49ers have a clue what they're doing and suspect they're leaking these rumours to take the heat off Farke and themselves, buying time and have no real appetite to sack DF as he is their plyable yes man.

I think it's more likely they are struggling to find another sap that will accept their tight fisted ways but if it is true, which waiting for affirmative action from our owners is like pulling teeth, then a large majority of Leeds fans will be relieved Farke's stubborn ways and crazy substitutions are no more, wish him well and I'm sure he will soon find a new Championship job that suits his capabilities

Time will tell if the damage already done by the owners as well will mean we will face him in the Championship next season too.

Just thinking when a club "sounds out" potential managerial successors that what that means is the potential new manager or managers approached via their agent will give a yay or nay to their interest in the job but in our current situation with Farke teetering on the brink and rumoured to have 4 more games I sincerely hope those manager/ managers rumoured to have been approached have been instructed to watch carefully these next few games, maybe in a nice Groucho Marx disguise at the back of the West Stand so as to not draw too much attention and also looks back at our previous games so when or if the new manager arrives he has a full "Bielsa-esque" dossier style knowledge of the squad and can implement his, hopefully more successful style immediately.

West Ham were truly shocking last night but you just know despite having 2 days less than us to prepare they'll play like Brazil against us so if Alf is correct in that Farke will be sacked if we don't beat West Ham I'm almost certain that will be it for DF especially as Okefor and Gnonto look like being missing so a draw at best I think and a new round of who will be the next Leeds United manager for our owners to painstakingly drag out like they did at Rangers where 3rd choice was installed. so who will be the 3rd choice new Leeds United manager?
I'm going to plump for Gary O'Neil.

With all due respect to Alf posting about the club possibly being at their PSR limit like Bushy said I don't buy that for one second and believe it's a weak excuse to deflect from themselves effing up the window and breaking their own promise to fully back Farke in the way Norwich didn't back Farke in his previous EPL campaigns.

Also even if PSR is anywhere close to being an issue try paying your greedy selves and your greedy investors a little less. No I don't expect them to do that.

They are playing us for fools imo if they expect Leeds fans to believe anything other than it was 100% their own incompetence that has us going into the rest of the season on a wing and a prayer that our injury prone forward line can not only stay fit but also are good enough to come up with the goals required from what looks like will be a limited in EPL quality creativity supply.

Our owners must make a change immediately.

Tomorrow morning I want to hear them thanking DF for all his efforts in getting Leeds promoted but unfortunately the direction of travel needs to change as results and performances have been way too far below the standard we expect and there is a strong feeling we need to change this before the rot truly sets in and we find ourselves stranded in the bottom 3 which we feel we are heading their now and so this is the right time to give a new man the best possible chance of success during what is undoubtedly a challenging
run of fixtures.

Thank you Daniel you will be forever remembered at Leeds and warmly welcomed back but all good things must come to an end and we wish you well in the future.

Reading around other forums and on social media there seems to be one out of work candidate that is considered good enough to keep Leeds up and it's Brendon Rogers. Would he come to us though?

Our owners would have to convince him there are significant funds for him in January.

The owners strike me as a group of short sighted individuals who are too concerned with lining their own pockets and those of their investors asap and God knows how many there are, and consequently have been economical with the truth over PSR limiting their spending to £100 million.

The figures simply do not add up because near the end of last season before clinching promotion there was a reported figure of £30 million PSR
limit spend had we not got promoted so as we did get promoted and the tv revenue is £150 million and then there is the clubs match day revenue, commercial revenue from sponsorship etc you can clearly see and draw the conclusion that iether the owners have kept funds back for a new boss to spend in January or they are sticking excessive amounts that should have been spent on an extra player or three n their grubby little pockets and BS ing us all.

I accept the owners will want a return but the first season back in the big league like Sunderland have shown needs every available penny spent on squad strengthening and not the short sightedness I mention cashing in like a kid in a sweet shop.

Either way by not backing Farke this summer for whatever reason has now started to come home to roost and looks a stupid naive and probably greedy strategy instead of just showing the ambition they needed to like Sunderland and resisting their desire to fill their pockets to the maximum straight away and holding out for 12 months when their golden goose was more likely to be a lot fatter instead of what is starting to unravel into a inevitable return to the Championship and much slimmer pickings again.

Obviously not Corkey because we would acknowledge we had a coach who knows what he's doing at this level and knows how to get the best out of this squad instead of the opposite we saw today, even a spirited narrow defeat would have been acceptable but not today following on ftom the limp effort away at Burnley.

OP i respect your solid defence of DF. pity he seems incapable of inspiring his selections applying his nonsensical tactical decisions to come out the blocks firing away from home.

It shouldn't need a home crowd to do that as they are professional footballers that should have that in their dna from kick off plus a rousing inspiring few words from their leader to fire them up that bit extra wouldn't hurt iether.

What we saw today away from home yet again was another sit back and far too cautious and nervous passive display that convinces me DF is out of his depth at this level.

I can accept defeat and expect defeat against half the sides in this league but not a weak surrender with clueless tactics from the get go and clueless subs and change of tactics that made us even worse as is neary always the case with DF's substitutes.

Despite your protestations that no one could do better I and many many other concerned Leeds fans think otherwise and I expect our tactically inept manager next week will carry on setting the team up incorrectly away from home and employing head scratching substitutions that fail once again to make an iota of difference in affecting the inevitable damaging defeat against one of our relegation rivals.

It's then an international break and hopefully that will be when we see a new manager given 2 weeks to sort the team out to play to their strengths because Bijol is used to playing in a back three and DCL needs a partner up front and the ball needs to be got forward hell of a lot quicker.

It's simple stuff a new manager with this squad of players would do and not try and play like we did in the Championship. We need to play ugly to survive instead of passively and losing ugly.

We all want the best for Leeds United and unfortunately today's limp showing like most of our away performances underline Daniel Farke is not the right man with this squad of players at this level to take us any further.

Yes Farke out for me.
Today was unacceptable and we were very fortunate to only lose 3 nil.

Wtf did DF think would happen against one of the best sides at pressing by sending out the team with his instructions of effing about playing tippy tappy turgidly slow at the back stuff which Brighton quickly capitalised on such a meak approach and should have been out of sight by h. t.

What is the point of DCL up top on his own when he clearly needs a team mate close by for his knock downs and I could go on and on with the usual poor subs and ability to change a game.

Sorry Farke supporters but I think he is out of his depth and it's just how many goals we will lose by next week against Dyche's Forest.

Despite the limited attacking options DF should still do better and I think our clueless owners are just as culpable but even so today reeks of Jesse Marsch and I hope after next week's inevitable defeat they say thanks Daniel you're a great man and great Championship manager but enough is enough.

Brendan Rodgers would be an improvement plus our cheapskate owners giving him funds in January because if not we are looking like relegation fodder.
