Apparently Leeds AND Sunderland are looking at Boga. Knowing our luck we'll win this battle as he's proper pony!

CORKEY

1.) 11 Jul 2025 03:51:58
Just get Solomon in. He ain’t getting game time at spuds. Just buy him. Stop stuffing around.
Boga 21 games 1 goal 1 assist. That better not be the level we are considering.

2.) 11 Jul 2025 07:04:18
Agree with Aus. Boga's return last year was poor for both goals and assists and his scoring record over his career isn't good. Solomon had the chance of a long run of games last season and showed what he can do with both goals and assists. Even when he was subbed and didn't like it he came back with another performance. Kudus already signed by Spurs and rumours that they've triggered Gibbs White release clause and medical booked. Solomon won't get much if a look in.
There is talk that Trabz have bid £7m for Boga. Even at that price I'd rather pay double for Solomon.

3.) 11 Jul 2025 08:39:43
Get Manor!

4.) 11 Jul 2025 09:39:45
We need better than Solomon to stay up, he won't be playing Plymouth and Swansea next season

I know for a fact the club are aiming higher.

5.) 11 Jul 2025 13:09:11
6ft 4?

6.) 11 Jul 2025 14:43:12
It’s got to be telling you lads, as soon as we did nt go straight back in for him speaks for its self not strong enough, be exactly like aronsen, little push and he s over, want somebody bit bigger stronger on the ball got to be loads out there, but the thing that’s getting me going again is Leeds as every window that comes along linked with everyone they saying we’re linked to diouf, another senaglise gent and he s the one we should be buying young, can play in 4 positions absolutely killed saka when played England the other day but Leeds and the gent that is mr underwood says no because he s worth 21 million come on for them players play anywhere you ve got to spend.

7.) 15 Jul 2025 19:54:24
But lads that’s Solomon s league come on you must be barking if you really think he would do it in premiership seriously its different gravy you would be better off going with someone like boga who has more scope to improve unless Leeds gets this right we will be back in the wilderness again and as hard as it is now to get deals done it’s going to be twice as tough, but I still think 3 cracking deals have passed us by like if we’re scouting players but then other teams go for them we will simply pull out, that ain’t the way it works if you ve done your work and scouted them then buy them.

Hope the Paixao rumours are true and we manage to sign him. Great talent.

CORKEY

1.) 06 Jun 2025 06:30:43
He would fit perfectly with Solomon and James. Him as a 10 would cause serious headaches for their defence.

2.) 06 Jun 2025 08:42:24
Arsenal now looking likely to make an offer.

3.) 06 Jun 2025 13:21:25
That seems to be the way, Leeds get interested in a player and a bigger club swoop in and take him.
The big teams fear Leeds rising to their former glory, and for good reason.

4.) 06 Jun 2025 15:25:47
Agree mot. Very steep hill mate. Bit by bit. Survive. Improve and attract. Easy inninit.

5.) 06 Jun 2025 17:10:16
Could all just be smoke screens for our real targets? Look at Ao for instance?

05 Jun 2025 14:37:56
We may go back in for Matt O'Riley at Brighton?
Tried to get him from Celtic before he signed for the seagulls. Good player and would be a massive upgrade on Aaronson.

CORKEY

1.) 05 Jun 2025 16:10:43
have we been linked Corkey or are you suggesting it?

2.) 05 Jun 2025 17:33:00
I've read that we are still interested, and he is unhappy with his role there.

3.) 05 Jun 2025 17:58:19
Just suggesting.

If we do manage to draw our way to survival, it’s gonna be an interesting summer. Will the likes of Stach and Gabby and especially Bijol want to stay on for next season? Guaranteed there will be interest from other clubs, and with the turgid football we are playing I’m not too sure these lads will want to stay on.

Apparently we have 100 mill to spend? I can see it now where we spend 40 million on an attacking midfielder and Aaronson keeps him out of the side!

So we struggle against a low block as most teams do?
In that case we ain’t beating the so called home bankers Wolves and Burnley.
In fact, according to some posts, we’ll be lucky to get another win as we just don’t have the quality, are a newly promoted team and the opposition will make it very hard for us to score by keeping gaps in defence at a minimum and won’t lie down and let us score.

CORKEY

1.) 22 Mar 2026 11:26:36
Post of the morning, Corkster.

2.) 22 Mar 2026 11:32:45
100% Cork. But worry not. Our recent form will miraculously turn around and we will win most of our remaining games.
That's how I see the real world.

3.) 22 Mar 2026 11:53:44
Just keep dreaming we are Arsenal in white shirts, fellas. ?
Have a great day.

4.) 22 Mar 2026 12:07:53
It was a tough watch without doubt, but as the Corkster alluded to, teams are going to come to ER and make it tough. No one now is gonna be playing expansive football. This time of the season is a gruelling bun fight, and I don't see the Wolves or Burnley games as banker wins. Every game is unique now, and setting points targets is pointless.

What if 38 is not enough? It's quite possible that will be the case. We just need to go out every game to get as much as we can, and assess our position after each round of games. No one is gonna help us, everyone is fighting for something, and we have to earn our survival on the pitch.

5.) 22 Mar 2026 12:15:23
Hopefully, Corkey, both Wolves and Burnley will come at us. Pressure off already, down they will go for the win, as I imagine their travelling fan bases will want to know why?

Whether we can get a ball to the white sticky things is another matter, but those two games still represent our best opportunity, and if we fail to capitalise then we've nobody to blame but ourselves.

6.) 22 Mar 2026 12:54:17
I see Sunderland with Xhaka are losing yet again (this time to Newcastle) .

If Leeds and Farke hadn't messed up our match vs Sunderland, we would be on 36 points and Sunderland would be on 37.

If we do go down, that will be the match that cost us more than any other.

7.) 22 Mar 2026 12:59:28
Second best post of the day so far, Baz!

8.) 22 Mar 2026 13:03:15
I can see the Burnley game at Elland Rd being a right ding dong of an affair.
They'll be pushing the ref to his limits. Even though they will probably be confirmed relegated, it will, without doubt, be their biggest game of the season.

Dirty it will be, and I, for one, hope we revert to our old name and do the same.

It might very well be our biggest and most important game of the season.

9.) 22 Mar 2026 13:37:58
I really don't get what point you're trying to make with the post of the morning? Do you really think they're home bankers? Did you ever think they would be, or just that they "should" be?

10.) 22 Mar 2026 14:23:42
I was saying that I'm fed up with excuse after excuse on why we are playing so poorly.
Maybe the manager and his tactics n team selection should be looked at, and not the same ole garbage that we are a newly promoted team and low blocks etc etc.
It's time the manager took accountability, because he never ever does.

11.) 22 Mar 2026 14:59:21
Let him finish the season. If we stay up, he should be lauded and, please, not told he was lucky.
If we do go down, then he will very likely lose his job.
Condemnation before is unfair. His sole priority is only to keep us up for this first season.
He's brought us this far, give the bloke a chance.

12.) 22 Mar 2026 15:09:33
Personally, I think that's very fair, OP.
If he does keep us up, I think he will be thanked by the board, and let go anyway, but he will deserve the respect and gratitude of every Leeds fan if indeed he does deliver.

13.) 22 Mar 2026 15:13:43
We've got games upcoming against teams that generally don't play a low block, and aren't going to get into either the top 6 or bottom 3 - Bournemouth and Brighton, those I think are better chances of 3 points than Burnley or Wolves. Then there's the Old Trashyard shower, who've got top strikers but a dodgy defence (no Harry Maguire) , and won't park the bus at home, and Spuds, who go from heroes to zeroes every week, both of which we could get something out of.

I'm still thinking 40+ points is do-able, maybe more, and the 3 below us won't all manage that.

14.) 22 Mar 2026 16:17:05
Let's face it; anything could happen, at any time, to any team, and probably will! It's gonna be an unpredictable free-for-all at the bottom! Florists by 3 at Spuds, who were excellent midweek! Mad!

15.) 22 Mar 2026 16:22:38
If anyone believes the owners would have been happy finishing, say, 4th bottom and so low in the table, then think again.
I realize it's our first season back up, but the wheels have properly fallen off.

And I guarantee the owners will have looked at the way Sunderland have performed and the points they have gained.
As for lauding a manager who potentially has a team finishing 17th, well that stinks of a lack of ambition.

21 Mar 2026 22:43:29
Farke playing a dangerous game by continuously stating the aim is 38 points.
Seven games left and he wants Five more points? The mind boggles!
I said it back in January, this man is literally trying to draw his way to survival.

CORKEY

1.) 22 Mar 2026 06:29:19
100% Corky. He's done this all season with his point a game, negative mentality.

He should have started the season saying he wanted 50+ points, aim for tenth but take 16th!
Now he should be screaming for 10 points or more.
I do fear the worst is coming, because it's us, it's what we do.

2.) 22 Mar 2026 07:02:37
Farke isn't playing for draws at Elland Road, but visiting teams are.
I now feel our best opportunities to score, and hopefully win a game or two, will be an away game.

3.) 22 Mar 2026 07:58:59
Why do you think that, opti? We play one useless striker up front away from home, and spend 80% of the game tippy tappy. How are we gonna break the habit of a season and score and win away?

4.) 22 Mar 2026 13:02:33
I disagree, OP. Farke is setting us up not to lose at home, and hopefully grab the three. Hopefully it works out for us and we stay up?

21 Mar 2026 18:53:14
Surprise surprise with tonight's lineup!

CORKEY

1.) 21 Mar 2026 19:20:21
I would have picked Tanaka, Okafor or Gnonto instead of BA.

2.) 21 Mar 2026 19:38:59
I would have kept BA, as Farke has gone for him, but gone for Okafor instead of Nmecha. Still in a 2 up top formation, Okafor has the speed defenders hate playing against, whereas Nmecha is more like DCL. For me, Tanaka and Gnonto haven't yet done enough when they have played.

3.) 22 Mar 2026 08:10:06
Me too, JR, but starting Noah is a risk immediately on his return, and we do need him fit for all of the run in.

17 Mar 2026 19:54:55
We really need to go for it in our last 4 home games. Proper gung ho styley.

CORKEY

1.) 18 Mar 2026 07:30:56

Aidan Butterworth. He’s a blast from the past!
Saw him away at Fulham when I was a nipper and he looked a great player. He then quit football as far as I remember to study abroad.

Last year of his contract but surely a deal could have been struck?
Say 8 mill with add ons if he played x amount of games and we stayed up.
I didn’t expect Marks n Spencer shopping but definitely not Asda!

Totally agree, Brighty. Unfortunately, Piroe will only be up front with DCL for the last ten minutes of games when we are losing, alongside all our other forwards, because DF is chucking the kitchen sink. Tactical genius he is?!
