Apparently Leeds AND Sunderland are looking at Boga. Knowing our luck we'll win this battle as he's proper pony!
1.) 11 Jul 2025 03:51:58
Just get Solomon in. He ain’t getting game time at spuds. Just buy him. Stop stuffing around.
Boga 21 games 1 goal 1 assist. That better not be the level we are considering.
2.) 11 Jul 2025 07:04:18
Agree with Aus. Boga's return last year was poor for both goals and assists and his scoring record over his career isn't good. Solomon had the chance of a long run of games last season and showed what he can do with both goals and assists. Even when he was subbed and didn't like it he came back with another performance. Kudus already signed by Spurs and rumours that they've triggered Gibbs White release clause and medical booked. Solomon won't get much if a look in.
There is talk that Trabz have bid £7m for Boga. Even at that price I'd rather pay double for Solomon.
3.) 11 Jul 2025 08:39:43
Get Manor!
4.) 11 Jul 2025 09:39:45
We need better than Solomon to stay up, he won't be playing Plymouth and Swansea next season
I know for a fact the club are aiming higher.
5.) 11 Jul 2025 13:09:11
6ft 4?
6.) 11 Jul 2025 14:43:12
It’s got to be telling you lads, as soon as we did nt go straight back in for him speaks for its self not strong enough, be exactly like aronsen, little push and he s over, want somebody bit bigger stronger on the ball got to be loads out there, but the thing that’s getting me going again is Leeds as every window that comes along linked with everyone they saying we’re linked to diouf, another senaglise gent and he s the one we should be buying young, can play in 4 positions absolutely killed saka when played England the other day but Leeds and the gent that is mr underwood says no because he s worth 21 million come on for them players play anywhere you ve got to spend.
7.) 15 Jul 2025 19:54:24
But lads that’s Solomon s league come on you must be barking if you really think he would do it in premiership seriously its different gravy you would be better off going with someone like boga who has more scope to improve unless Leeds gets this right we will be back in the wilderness again and as hard as it is now to get deals done it’s going to be twice as tough, but I still think 3 cracking deals have passed us by like if we’re scouting players but then other teams go for them we will simply pull out, that ain’t the way it works if you ve done your work and scouted them then buy them.
05 Jun 2025 22:41:14
Hope the Paixao rumours are true and we manage to sign him. Great talent.
1.) 06 Jun 2025 06:30:43
He would fit perfectly with Solomon and James. Him as a 10 would cause serious headaches for their defence.
2.) 06 Jun 2025 08:42:24
Arsenal now looking likely to make an offer.
3.) 06 Jun 2025 13:21:25
That seems to be the way, Leeds get interested in a player and a bigger club swoop in and take him.
The big teams fear Leeds rising to their former glory, and for good reason.
4.) 06 Jun 2025 15:25:47
Agree mot. Very steep hill mate. Bit by bit. Survive. Improve and attract. Easy inninit.
5.) 06 Jun 2025 17:10:16
Could all just be smoke screens for our real targets? Look at Ao for instance?
05 Jun 2025 14:37:56
We may go back in for Matt O'Riley at Brighton?
Tried to get him from Celtic before he signed for the seagulls. Good player and would be a massive upgrade on Aaronson.
1.) 05 Jun 2025 16:10:43
have we been linked Corkey or are you suggesting it?
2.) 05 Jun 2025 17:33:00
I've read that we are still interested, and he is unhappy with his role there.
3.) 05 Jun 2025 17:58:19
Just suggesting.

It was another predictable line up yesterday with only TWO attackers starting and that two includes Aaronson.
5 defenders, 2 holding CMs and Stach made up the other outfield ten.
I realize it was Arsenal but c'mon we were at ER!
JSL would make zero difference to this side because he probably wouldn’t even start. That is unless DF remembers how good DCL looked in a front two and how more dangerous as a side we were. We need to give the opposition more to think about and with our current lineup and setup we literally are hoping for draws.
Big big game next and I hope OP is right that after a bad beating the lads will be eager to get back on track with a great performance and three points.
1.) 01 Feb 2026 13:16:49
Yep corkey. Out played. Out fought at home for gods sake and battered. Pathetic.
26 Jan 2026 22:04:23
How bad were Everton?
I’m so so disappointed
If we go down it’s our own fault.
Losing so many points while being the better team but to sit back and drop more points.
It’s literally unforgivable.
{Ed025's Note - better in the first half CORKY, but Everton battered you in the second half mate, fair reult i would say..
1.) 26 Jan 2026 22:09:08
Take a point away from home to a decent side who are top half. Maybe we saw 2nd half the difference between the quality of the managers. Everton shifted tactically and we struggled to adapt. Still, like I say a good point I would have taken that at the start of the night.
2.) 26 Jan 2026 22:10:18
We were mauled in 2nd half totally, So over 90 mins a point was fair and could be our saviour
Forest next Fri week colossal
Lewin played his heart out
Poor from Sebz to be pipped like that for Barry's goal.
3.) 26 Jan 2026 22:15:20
I lean towards ED025's summary, although had DCL's attempt gone in then 2 up at half time may have painted a different ending.
Well played boys, dust yourselves down ready for Arsenal at home ???.
4.) 26 Jan 2026 22:15:56
Agree Chris, thought until that point he was close to MOM.
5.) 26 Jan 2026 22:16:37
Correct Ed, that was a classic "game of two halves". Over the full 90 mins I think we just shaded it as the shots and xG stats show, but still a 3 game advantage over Spam, so on we go MOT.
{Ed025's Note - the DCL chance when he hit the post was pivotal JR, if that goes in you win mate, as it was a draw was fair..
6.) 26 Jan 2026 22:22:02
We were never going to control the whole of that game. Moyes made the right decision for Everton at half time with his substitutions and they began to pin us back, counter attacks were going to be our best option but we didn’t get much of those.
We could have done more damage in the first half in my opinion, Calvert Lewin was very unlucky to hit the post with his attempt.
I’m ok with a point at their ground and its point in the right direction.
7.) 26 Jan 2026 22:23:12
Spot on Chris. A good point in the end.
8.) 26 Jan 2026 22:53:20
Sorry lads but utter BS. We ARE the better team.
As usual sat back and dropped more points while being so negative.
9.) 26 Jan 2026 23:07:14
Everton didn't batter us, we sat back like we always do and refused to bring on fresh legs to liven us up.
We could break out because we had an isolated dcl and a tired BA.
Bring on subs earlier like we should have done and Everton would have been penned in.
Tanaka costing us another goal. Time to shop him out for cash money.
10.) 27 Jan 2026 00:59:42
Interestingly, Besiktas are rumoured to be looking at Tanaka. If that went through, it could be very helpful to defray some if the costs of signing JSL if that goes ahead.
11.) 27 Jan 2026 06:09:09
Couldn’t agree more Mo, it’s Farke all over again.
Get a goal up and then sit back on it, when oh when is he going to realise that we can’t hold a 1-0 lead for an hour.
I know people love Tanaka and Piroe and all that other sentimental lovey dicey but some of these lads simply aren’t good enough at the top level.
I include Farke in that as well, he’s been out managed again tonight.
Every single fan could see that we sat back and left DCL isolated alone up top, Brendan and Anton were out on their feet after an hour.
Another 2 points dropped.
I’m praying these results don’t comeback to haunt us but I genuinely fear they will, and it’s on the manager, his in game management is awful.
12.) 27 Jan 2026 06:23:33
I don’t understand the sub thing with him or just sitting looking lost with the look on his face, BA was all over the place causing so many problems he look drained at 65 minutes as did one or two others, don’t get sending on 3 with ten to go, first half was excellent.
13.) 27 Jan 2026 08:12:07
We didn't sit back, we were pinned back after half time. The quality and experience of Everton's squad showed in the 2nd half.
Is anyone actually going to give Farke credit for the tactical tweak that saw us so dominant in the first half?
I agree that subs could have been earlier, and would have been of benefit, but as a coach, the first response is to evaluate how the players adapt to the opposition changes, and we were resolute in our defending, and for a long time, seemed to be holding out well!
When tiredness was apparent, that was the time for changes, but he waited too long; but that was the 70th minute, NOT the 46th!
14.) 27 Jan 2026 00:53:09
As you say Ed, if DCL had hit the back of the net instead of the post, znd put us 2:0 up at half time it could've been a different outcome. Mind you they rattled our woodwork too and could probably make a similar claim. One final point, the ref was poor for both sides.
15.) 27 Jan 2026 14:31:39
Bright I didn’t say we did sit back that comment was for Farke he look lost didn’t know what to do.
As for the first haft it was excellent and I have already said that. ?♂️.
16.) 27 Jan 2026 14:34:54
Bright again I didn’t say 46 I said 65 minutes which I think it was but let’s not split hairs I will take 70 my watch could be wrong as was the referees. ??♂️.
17.) 27 Jan 2026 17:32:08
I wasn't actually replying to you Whiteman. I just skip past your posts. But hey, if the cap fits, eh?!
18.) 27 Jan 2026 17:43:01
Bright it just flows from post to post never mind it fits ?.
26 Jan 2026 21:57:19
That’s why DF will never ever be a top coach.
1.) 26 Jan 2026 22:21:46
Agreed, he’s also stopped playing 2 strikers which was us and DCL at his best, he needs Nmecha up there with him.
2.) 27 Jan 2026 08:14:54
But the switch to DCL solo, with BA and Anton breaking quick from between the lines, is what gave us our utter dominance in the first half!
Everton couldn't track our runners!
Give credit where it's due!
23 Jan 2026 09:59:03
Has anyone got a dehumidifier and are they any good?
1.) 23 Jan 2026 10:34:22
Ya they are, is it for moisture needs or drying clothes inside, that's a new craze now instead of rumble dryer and lots cheaper.
2.) 23 Jan 2026 10:41:41
Yep and great for drying clothes in a cold room.
3.) 23 Jan 2026 10:54:55
Yes and yes, Corkey but like all things you get what you pay for.
Our house 15th century so a necessary piece of equipment for us.
4.) 23 Jan 2026 11:09:52
I have in our bathroom Corkey it’s does a great job, been using it a few years.
5.) 23 Jan 2026 12:19:34
About 20 yrs ago, and while it was great then, it must be utter cack compared to modern ones! #DOT #dehumidifyingOnTogether.
6.) 23 Jan 2026 13:24:43
So that 1492 class?
7.) 23 Jan 2026 14:21:46
Thanks for the replies lads.
Got the house insulated last year so moisture builds up fast. Basically needed for drying clothes in a spare room and for cleaner air upstairs .
Not sure how much to stump up on one?
8.) 23 Jan 2026 19:57:33
See what you did there Aus! There’s a plaque on the house says 1500 so only just squeezed in.
Our current one (3years) Corkey, circa £180 but quiet, economical to run very good for drying rooms, clothes.
We learnt the hard way the £50 ones aren’t the way to go.
9.) 23 Jan 2026 22:56:15
Cheers Class.
10.) 23 Jan 2026 23:34:52
Ooh never thought of a dehumidifier to dry clothes! Can't wait to see what's next on housekeepingrumours. com.
18 Jan 2026 13:06:18
Will 40 points be enough?
3 wins, 6 draws with 7 defeats gets us the 40 points.
4 wins and 3 draws and 9 defeats the same.
Surely to god that’s doable?
West Ham to get to 41 points considering current goal difference would need 6 wins and 6 draws from last 16 games.
Or 7 wins and 3 draws.
I can see DF continuing the defensive lineup to achieve this. Keep racking up the points with draws and the odd win here n there.
Our survival is well n truly in our hands.
1.) 18 Jan 2026 13:55:11
CORKEY I think you’re not that far off, I have it 5 wins 4 draws 7 losses. Let’s hope we can turn some of the losses to draws, and hope it will be enough.
2.) 18 Jan 2026 14:05:19
Think 39 be enough corkes. What we need for that mate?
3.) 18 Jan 2026 14:08:00
CORKEY
I think NF will pull pick up points so may look something like this?
Leeds on 44
West sham 32
Burnley 29
WW 22.
4.) 18 Jan 2026 16:18:26
36 has been enough for almost the last decade.
The point a game marker should be good enough although we are Leeds so we can get 40 and still go down.
Don't worry about the number, just keep winning and all will be well, a win on Monday will drag another team into the mix!
5.) 18 Jan 2026 17:00:35
In the last 30 years since the Premier League went to 20 teams the average points needed to stay up has fallen in every 10 year period: 37.3 to 35.9 to 33.0. This is a reflection on the difference between the standard of teams in the Premiership and the three who are promoted from the Championship. They find it extremely difficult to compete with the "established" teams, particularly in the last two years when 27 and 26 points would have meant survival.
This year Sunderland and United have bucked that trend so points needed will be higher. Excluding the last two years the ten year average is 34.7 and apart from one year,15/ 16 when 38 points was needed, 36 points secured survival in every year.
We should be able to smash that. I'd be disappointed if we didn't.
6.) 18 Jan 2026 17:16:39
Wolves will struggle to get past 30, Burnley mebbe low 30s, Sham and Florists I see getting 36 or 37. So for us 40 could be more than enough. Looking at our remaining fixtures I see at least 5 winnable games, which even if we lost all the rest could take us to 40.
Also don't forget Florists still have the added distraction of the Europa league, so they might stumble along the way. Our last game of the season is Sham at ER on May 24 that one will be a real knicker gripper if we don't have survival guaranteed by then.
7.) 18 Jan 2026 17:30:06
And don't discount Bournemouth, Spuds and Palace getting dragged into thd dogfight either. Bournemouth have just lost their best player (Semenyo) , Spuds are just a mess and now that Guehi has gone and Glasner has had a rant at Palace owners, and they still have the Eufa Conference league to negotiate who knows how they will react.
8.) 18 Jan 2026 19:12:33
Anyone could be dragged in to it the way things are going this season with everyone dropping points and it’s still very close at mid down but saying that I believe there is only one place free at the bottom can’t not see the bottom two moving up.
9.) 19 Jan 2026 13:08:47
40 should be enough.
29 Jan 2026 12:11:10
Love the word “apparently”.
28 Jan 2026 15:57:10
Aidan Butterworth. He’s a blast from the past!
Saw him away at Fulham when I was a nipper and he looked a great player. He then quit football as far as I remember to study abroad.
03 Sep 2025 23:39:02
Couldn’t have put it better myself CW.
01 Sep 2025 20:21:26
Last year of his contract but surely a deal could have been struck?
Say 8 mill with add ons if he played x amount of games and we stayed up.
I didn’t expect Marks n Spencer shopping but definitely not Asda!
01 Sep 2025 20:18:11
Disappointing. Both them players would have helped us especially on set plays.
02 Feb 2026 17:59:30
If DCL gets injured then it will turn bleak I guess?
01 Feb 2026 21:24:02
Very shrewd indeed especially at 500k.
31 Jan 2026 16:59:20
Bang on Dave.
31 Jan 2026 16:58:33
I said it a few weeks back DF will try and draw our way to survival.
31 Jan 2026 12:22:06
Yeah let’s ship out two keepers and be left with one?
