Apparently if the West Yorkshire mass tram system doesn't get the go ahead the Elland Rd redevelopment will halt after the west stand has been completed.
1.) 16 Jun 2026 13:45:55
The Leeds Tram is as rare as unicorn s***.
2.) 16 Jun 2026 16:39:59
Where's that gem come from Cork?
3.) 16 Jun 2026 18:09:06
Bryn Law.
4.) 16 Jun 2026 20:57:51
Well I'm nearly 49, born and raised in Leeds, still work in town and they've been talking about the tram in some guise or another ever since I can remember. Lates date I hear mentioned is 2040. It's easy for councillors to to talk about things happening that far away because they know they won't be in the same job by then.
Half of town is pedestrian now so where is it going to go? Not happening in my lifetime (I mean I'm overweight, get no exercise and drink too much so 2040 could still be on!)
5.) 16 Jun 2026 22:43:59
The tram system has now got the go ahead, albeit with phase 1 not scheduled to start til the late 2030s, so are they going to start the North Stand extension as soon as the West Stand is completed, or wait til the late 2030s - hypothetical question? However, since we in Britain are piss poor at delivering such projects on time and on budget, the chances of it ever happening are still in doubt.

West Ham want over 80 mill for Fernandez. Surely no club will pay anywhere near that for a player who was only half decent in a relegation team?
Ok, maybe he was excellent in the games I didn’t watch but watching the Hammers quite a lot towards the end of the season he was decent at best.
If he’s worth 80 mill then Stach is worth 120 million and Gruev is worth 30.
He’ll probably go on to be the next Xavi now!
1.) 03 Jun 2026 07:26:48
He's a cracking player and still young, but you're right; they're tekkin the wazz a lot there! Will go for just over 50, I reckon.
2.) 03 Jun 2026 22:39:38
For £80 million I'd expect him to score against Raya from four. Yards out, let alone three.
3.) 04 Jun 2026 13:23:51
Forest reject bid from Man City for Anderson. Allegedly looking for £100m plus. Might happen if City were willing to spend well above that on Grealish. Makes the fees for Amps and Stach absolute bargains. Good, he's staying for a few more years.
10 Jul 2025 22:15:56
Apparently Leeds AND Sunderland are looking at Boga. Knowing our luck we'll win this battle as he's proper pony!
1.) 11 Jul 2025 03:51:58
Just get Solomon in. He ain’t getting game time at spuds. Just buy him. Stop stuffing around.
Boga 21 games 1 goal 1 assist. That better not be the level we are considering.
2.) 11 Jul 2025 07:04:18
Agree with Aus. Boga's return last year was poor for both goals and assists and his scoring record over his career isn't good. Solomon had the chance of a long run of games last season and showed what he can do with both goals and assists. Even when he was subbed and didn't like it he came back with another performance. Kudus already signed by Spurs and rumours that they've triggered Gibbs White release clause and medical booked. Solomon won't get much if a look in.
There is talk that Trabz have bid £7m for Boga. Even at that price I'd rather pay double for Solomon.
3.) 11 Jul 2025 08:39:43
Get Manor!
4.) 11 Jul 2025 09:39:45
We need better than Solomon to stay up, he won't be playing Plymouth and Swansea next season
I know for a fact the club are aiming higher.
5.) 11 Jul 2025 13:09:11
6ft 4?
6.) 11 Jul 2025 14:43:12
It’s got to be telling you lads, as soon as we did nt go straight back in for him speaks for its self not strong enough, be exactly like aronsen, little push and he s over, want somebody bit bigger stronger on the ball got to be loads out there, but the thing that’s getting me going again is Leeds as every window that comes along linked with everyone they saying we’re linked to diouf, another senaglise gent and he s the one we should be buying young, can play in 4 positions absolutely killed saka when played England the other day but Leeds and the gent that is mr underwood says no because he s worth 21 million come on for them players play anywhere you ve got to spend.
7.) 15 Jul 2025 19:54:24
But lads that’s Solomon s league come on you must be barking if you really think he would do it in premiership seriously its different gravy you would be better off going with someone like boga who has more scope to improve unless Leeds gets this right we will be back in the wilderness again and as hard as it is now to get deals done it’s going to be twice as tough, but I still think 3 cracking deals have passed us by like if we’re scouting players but then other teams go for them we will simply pull out, that ain’t the way it works if you ve done your work and scouted them then buy them.
05 Jun 2025 22:41:14
Hope the Paixao rumours are true and we manage to sign him. Great talent.
1.) 06 Jun 2025 06:30:43
He would fit perfectly with Solomon and James. Him as a 10 would cause serious headaches for their defence.
2.) 06 Jun 2025 08:42:24
Arsenal now looking likely to make an offer.
3.) 06 Jun 2025 13:21:25
That seems to be the way, Leeds get interested in a player and a bigger club swoop in and take him.
The big teams fear Leeds rising to their former glory, and for good reason.
4.) 06 Jun 2025 15:25:47
Agree mot. Very steep hill mate. Bit by bit. Survive. Improve and attract. Easy inninit.
5.) 06 Jun 2025 17:10:16
Could all just be smoke screens for our real targets? Look at Ao for instance?
05 Jun 2025 14:37:56
We may go back in for Matt O'Riley at Brighton?
Tried to get him from Celtic before he signed for the seagulls. Good player and would be a massive upgrade on Aaronson.
1.) 05 Jun 2025 16:10:43
have we been linked Corkey or are you suggesting it?
2.) 05 Jun 2025 17:33:00
I've read that we are still interested, and he is unhappy with his role there.
3.) 05 Jun 2025 17:58:19
Just suggesting.

Lukaku, believe it or not, has a better goals record than Harry Kane has in international football.
Really surprised me, as Lukaku I always thought was just decent, whereas Kane is a proper world class striker.
This probably shows how many easy goals are to be had in international football?
15 Jun 2026 19:43:40
I asked Google to look up Hornicek, the Braga keeper, as apparently Leeds have an interest in him. Whatever way I said it into my phone microphone, a list of Braga escort sites popped up!
Horny chicks Braga was in the search box. ?
1.) 15 Jun 2026 20:53:12
I saw where that was going right away. ??
2.) 15 Jun 2026 20:56:40
Won't mind if I borrow that excuse, will you, Corkey? ?
3.) 15 Jun 2026 21:08:33
The problem is, fellas, I googled Hornicek Cork straight after. ????
4.) 16 Jun 2026 06:48:11
Very funny, Corkey!
"Deletes browsing history..."
5.) 16 Jun 2026 16:27:24
Hull put in a bid of around £12m.
6.) 16 Jun 2026 17:07:12
Google Braga, and you'll find it's Spanish for knickers.
14 Jun 2026 20:48:17
Ok I've had a few now, but are Leeds United players that crap that none of them are getting a start?
Tuned in to watch Okafor the other night and then tonight Tanaka is on the bench. WTF.
1.) 14 Jun 2026 21:52:11
Odd you didn't mention Aaronson cork. ?
The Okafor one was very odd, the main Swiss success came from out wide and yet he wasn't brought on when Vargas was subbed.
I'm hoping AO will get on in 2nd half.
2.) 14 Jun 2026 22:24:07
Okafor is perhaps a little overrated by some of us. Bless. Maybe not quite as good as we think for international starts.
3.) 14 Jun 2026 22:31:59
Would be amazed if Gudmundsson doesn't start tomorrow - unless he's injured?
4.) 14 Jun 2026 23:05:31
Would think GG gets some mins.
5.) 14 Jun 2026 23:13:35
Not sure about GG.. but seem to recall Tanaka often starts for Japan.
6.) 15 Jun 2026 01:32:25
I was thinking Tanaka would come on as a 2nd half sub, but when they went 2:1 down, it was logical that the subs would mostly be forwards.
7.) 15 Jun 2026 14:00:14
Gudmundsson played [well, if anyone watched] and Nmecha scored.
8.) 15 Jun 2026 14:05:49
Wrong Nmecha, wish we had that one, a great player!
9.) 15 Jun 2026 15:53:22
Hehe.. The Germany match is the only one I haven't watched so far [expected a trouncing, so wasn't interested]. I concede, when I saw the result, I was surprised, as I was sure "ours" hadn't gone! lol.
10.) 15 Jun 2026 17:43:48
CW, I totally forgot about Aaronson! I wonder why?. ?
11 Jun 2026 20:46:40
Got an inkling these hydration breaks are really for the American broadcasters to sell more advertisement slots?
1.) 12 Jun 2026 00:16:03
Wonder if they are only if temp above a certain value?
Toronto could still be hot enough (don't worry, I'll keep cool with beer at next Wednesday's game) , but Vancouver is usually cooler so we'll see at the games there if they have them.
2.) 12 Jun 2026 02:26:51
They are all games regardless of temp.
3.) 12 Jun 2026 02:36:01
At least it lets teams have a timeout without using bogus injured goalkeeper scam.
04 Jun 2026 20:49:46
Gonna put it out but does anyone believe DF stumbled upon the new formation at HT against City?
Or was he just waiting for the right moment?
It's an interesting topic to me. Was he just trying to keep the score down or had he practiced the formation?
1.) 04 Jun 2026 21:42:48
He did it at Norwich, switching from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2 to achieve better play, although Norwich struggled to score goals.
He also used that formation in his earlier days with Dortmund reserves.
I have mentioned this before on here, and, no, contrary to what everyone wants to believe, he did not stumble on this like it just dropped out of the sky.
2.) 04 Jun 2026 22:02:11
Love to know, Corkey, my hunch it was the players proposed the change, (don't know, but Farkey hadn't used the formation previously) , it really doesn't matter to me though, whether Farkey introduced it, or he was big enough to give the players idea a try.
Irrespective, it transformed our season and enabled Gaby and Bogle to get forwards and add to our up to then, much needed creativity.
Also made us so much harder to beat and certainly got the best out of Bijol who I thought grew into one of our most rugged and dependable defenders as a result.
3.) 04 Jun 2026 22:45:43
Really feels like Leeds players insisted on change of formation to 3 5 2.
Farkey very rarely played 3 5 2 for Norwich in EPL. He played 4 3 3.
And, as a result, Norwich managed to have a horrendous minus 120 goal difference combined over the 2 EPL seasons 19/20 and 21/22.
4.) 04 Jun 2026 23:35:38
We will never know who made the decision, but in his comments after that game, or maybe the next one, when asked about the formation, he replied 4-4-2 wins the PL and it's my preferred way of playing, and he wanted to go back to it.
Over the season, his management of the team got better, his sub timing got better, and he actually started to show some emotion and pride in the team.
So, imho, whether it was the players, or his coaches, or management, it was good that he listened to them and stuck to it; otherwise, I think we would be playing Championship next season.
5.) 05 Jun 2026 00:18:34
But, according to reports, he wants to go back to his more favoured 4-4-2 next season. The losing formation, which we would have got relegated with, had the players not suggested a change at half-time v City.
6.) 05 Jun 2026 06:05:45
He changes three, then to four at the back during certain games, depending on the opposition and their tactics. Nothing wrong with that, and it shows his flexibility to adapt.
Absolute, baseless nonsense that the players are making all the tactical decisions for him.
7.) 05 Jun 2026 06:16:43
I think we all know why Norwich did so badly and were relegated twice. Their owner refused or couldn't spend money on new players.
It seems to me that for some Leeds fans, they still can't accept that DF is our manager, and that continues to really irk them.
Pity that he doesn't receive the credit he surely deserves, or is it just an ego agenda from some fans?
8.) 05 Jun 2026 07:09:27
They'd clearly been doing it in training as a different option. I've never, in my life, seen a team switch formations, not having practiced it repeatedly! This is pro football, not a rush goalie scenario in Roundhay Park.
Maybe players "suggested" switching? No one will ever know.
9.) 05 Jun 2026 07:43:38
Rumours at the time were that Ampadu and DCL were behind the halftime change at Man City. Does seem plausible.
10.) 05 Jun 2026 08:08:33
There's Opti's fave phrase when people disagree. Some Leeds fans. Cheer up, mate. Some agree with you, some don't.
I have no doubt it would have been practiced. It doesn't matter if it was him or, more likely, the players' suggestion. It 100% saved his bacon.
11.) 05 Jun 2026 06:50:40
OP I think that you are reading what you want from the posts. First off Norwich has nothing to do with the last season. Leeds gave him most of what he wanted, not everything, but most things.
He then played 4-4-2 and lost 9 games, and at half time at chity decided to change, so the fans will always be questioning what happened.
It was a different season from the Chitty game, we got to the semi's of the cup and could have easily swept them aside, and we had some great game to keep the team safe. Now he has a foundation to build on. and hopefully we do
MOT
12.) 05 Jun 2026 09:18:36
Who knew OP watches Dortmund reserves. ?
13.) 05 Jun 2026 10:23:15
Come on Corky, you can read and inform yourself or you can be like a sheep and just follow and repeat what others have guessed or simply made up.
It's only my opinion for Christ sake or am I not allowed to have one Aus?
What's wrong with you?
14.) 05 Jun 2026 14:08:08
Some Leeds fans opti. But not you. ?
15.) 05 Jun 2026 15:15:05
Only jesting, OP, mate.
It was a fair question, I thought?
16.) 05 Jun 2026 17:39:20
Fair enough lads. ?
16 Jun 2026 18:09:06
Bryn Law.
15 Jun 2026 20:20:30
Class mate, the likes of Alf, from what I can make out, literally just posts the transfer rumours from NewsNow. Maybe he has inside info, I don't really know, but every time I have read one of his "scoops" I have literally read the exact same thing that day on NewsNow. Maybe Alf works for NewsNow, that would explain it?
09 Jun 2026 18:58:58
The English market is absolutely nuts.
09 Jun 2026 18:57:29
It's up to us to find the next Wharton or Anderson. Or even the next Oilse! These players are out there, it's up to Leeds to find them.
The Champo is kinda poor at the moment, so abroad is most likely.
09 Jun 2026 18:53:13
Almost spent over 40 mill for the Palace striker they got from Wolves, so you never know.
17 Jun 2026 12:20:17
What is surprising is Byram is on nearly double Gruev's wage! Longstaff, the second-highest earner, is on over 80k a week!
Bournaw on the same wage as Stach?
15 Jun 2026 21:08:33
The problem is, fellas, I googled Hornicek Cork straight after. ????
15 Jun 2026 17:43:48
CW, I totally forgot about Aaronson! I wonder why?. ?
14 Jun 2026 20:53:59
I always wondered why Leeds United never had a proper badge and other clubs did?
To me it always made us look not quite legit:
Every big clubs badge never changed much and there's us Leeds united changing it like Baz changes his underwear!
14 Jun 2026 17:13:55
What's with all the different club badges throughout the years?
