What did I tell you? The Leeds way!
Leeds to add RB Daiki Hashioka. Sorry got to go now. Switching to Google?

1.) 28 Jan 2024 11:59:48
There's only one Daiki Hashioka. Well called Leo.

2.) 28 Jan 2024 12:21:58
Leo According to a very new report, this proposed transfer is already off.

3.) 28 Jan 2024 13:49:19
Surely not. Porgs. We only getting 6 in. Not 7 ?.

4.) 28 Jan 2024 15:30:08
Well our team of top notch negotiators are doing great so far.

5.) 28 Jan 2024 18:02:17
Not liking ' the Leeds way '

6.) 28 Jan 2024 18:30:22
Reportedly Benson on his way to join ⚜️⚜️.

7.) 28 Jan 2024 20:02:10
OldBro, you mean the same negotiators that signed Ampadu, Kamara and Gruev for only £17.4m, as well as signing Rodon and Anthony on loan. Hmmmm ?.

8.) 28 Jan 2024 23:19:29
Dill still waiting.

9.) 29 Jan 2024 05:51:40
It's a bit of a fallacy what you're saying. We've negotiated some top deals in the summer, so they're more than capable. I'm expecting something before Thursday.

10.) 29 Jan 2024 07:47:25
Off to luton apparently.

11.) 29 Jan 2024 09:57:14
We are all expecting or should I say hoping.

18 Jan 2024 18:32:21
It's gone awfully quite on Kai Wagner. Anybody any news.

1.) 18 Jan 2024 20:02:52
I thought he'd re signed for Philly?

2.) 18 Jan 2024 20:27:06
He is TRASH!

3.) 19 Jan 2024 05:59:39
What ???says.

03 Jan 2024 13:01:52
The name at the top of the LB list seems to be Josh Doig but can anyone tell me the state of some of the other names that have been mentioned in the past.

1.) 03 Jan 2024 14:24:42
I believe Kai Wagner is now out of contract so would be available for free?

01 Jun 2022 16:44:15
With all this talk of needing a new CF, Ben Brereton Diaz being the latest, does this mean that Joffy is pushed down to No3 choice?
In all the names banded about no one has resurrected Dwight Gayle?

1.) 01 Jun 2022 20:04:26
Personally I’d go after that Beckford lad, Orta closely monitoring a couple of wingers as well kid called Maxwell Gradel and Hadya sakho. 😂😂😂😂.

22 Jan 2022 20:13:17
Not directly connected to Leeds but there is a tenious link. Can I ask (poss Eds) if Derby are wound up, is it immediate or will they complete the season. If it is immediate what happens to the players if it is in Feb. Can they go anywhere as "unattached"?
His name seems to have gone quite lately but are we still interested in Louie Sibley?
By the way when is the decision due?

{Ed002's Note - They would not be Free Agents without the Football League agreeing the cancellation of contracts and clubs cannot take players on who were contracted during the whole of the previous window. Further complication is squad size.}

1.) 23 Jan 2022 08:27:58
Interesting questions Leodis, and I would add another question; what would happen to points gained from Derby? Would everyone’s points just be zeroed? And how can the league ensure that it’s fair, given some sides have beaten them, some have lost, and others (obviously) drawn. It could have a big impact on promotion, play offs, and relegation alike!? #verycomplicated.

Possibly, 9 April, is the day many of us secretly realised that we are probably facing another year of Championship slog.
The football last night was a repeat of the last few games. With defence holding its own but mid and attack woefully letting us down. From an imperious bossing midfield we have somehow managed to look very ordinary whilst upfront we have the usually reliable wingers unable to shake off the markers, being doubled (sometimes tripled) up on. As for striker, that seems to be the biggest disappointment with a player who is so obviously out of form and a replacement who though full of potential has never been tested over 90 mins.
Whilst we quite obviously have a crises on our hands it is way too easy to blame the manager. Yes, we can all see his reluctance to change personnel but who got us here in the first place. Who had his team ripped apart before he had even started. Who moulded a team to get us 90ish points when many, at the start of the season, would have been happy with mid table.
Certainly the man is not perfect but he has us second and not dead yet. I have my own wish list and theory of what it will take but for all our well meaning punditry, there is only one man who can make it happen so let's let him get on with it "in Farke we trust".
If the promised land does not materialise and we are doomed to "one more season" then let's just be gratefull for the 23/ 24 ride. Not every horse can win the National. Maybe it's a furlong too far.

1.) 10 Apr 2024 12:09:45
Well said Leodis.

We are, as you point out, not dead yet - need a big favour from Watford tonight (and everyone else who is due to play Ipswich) plus I would imagine that there are a lot of Leicester fans feeling the same way we are this morning.

These final hurdles are seemingly getting larger!

One crumb of comfort, my brother has decided to stop picking Leeds as part of his accumulator so we might start winning again:)

2.) 10 Apr 2024 14:41:02
Great post Leodis!

3.) 10 Apr 2024 19:14:57
With you on that Leodis. Although punters would have us as winners before that game last night, who would of had Leicester being beaten by lowly Millwall.?
Believe me, a lot can happen in these four remaining games. Never give up and in Farke we trust ✊?.

06 Apr 2024 15:56:16
The only word that comes close is; subdued.

1.) 06 Apr 2024 16:00:15
Where’s live chat. Wanna winge. Even though not watching live. I have rights. Bambi James off. Willy and mateo on.

2.) 06 Apr 2024 16:07:15
press on ' leeds United live chat 'link Aus ; its not rocket science.

3.) 06 Apr 2024 17:03:20
Haven’t got it baz. Or I wouldn’t ask mate. Not rocket science eh. Even for a Yorkshire chappie.

02 Apr 2024 12:40:20
Too many just a little off the boil last night. The way Hull were playing I was mentally settling for a draw. They all need a day off (in a darkened room) and hopefully come back with recharged batteries. Would a few minutes for Charlie Crew be an idea for Sat? It seems the area we are most missing is a DM.

1.) 02 Apr 2024 13:05:47
Admittedly our passing was below par last night but you shouldn’t underestimate Hull, they are a very good team in possession and they only lack a good striker from being up their with us Leicester and Lucky Ipswich.

Although the fans can lift the players at Elland rd, they can also emit their nervousness to the players which I felt was part of the problem, you could see even at 1-0 up they made our defense a little shaky, they found spaces and opened us up on several of their attacks, Hull scoring a goal looked very possible.
Our midfield without Gruev looked very timid.

Let’s hope that victory was a big shot in the arm for confidence to the players for the visit to Cov on the weekend.
Steady as she goes.

2.) 02 Apr 2024 13:18:00
OP And do you know what caused the fan nervousness? Try Bamboo failure to sort his legs out (yet again) to score and put us 2 up. Not starting MJ on Saturday is unacceptable and an act of lunacy.

3.) 02 Apr 2024 14:29:49
George I do like Joseph and he does inject a lot of energy into our attack, but one thing he will lack through no fault of his own will be experience.
Bamford for all his misses does add experience, these next six games is going to be nerve wracking for the teams fighting for promotion, I’d still start with Bamford for this run in, but if he hasn’t contributed by 60 mins then Joseph should replace him then rather than the last 5 or 10 mins.

4.) 02 Apr 2024 14:45:29
IMO, 60 is now too long to wait
After 30-35 mins if he ain't in the cup final, pull him off as was case last night, he was woeful ( again )

We simply cannot afford another pair of games from him like last 2, there's just too much at stake now

Paddy has morphed into another Liam, where some feel he bleeds Leeds, and others who now feel nuffs nuff with him .

5.) 02 Apr 2024 15:09:16
OP the ' experience ' of Bamford is that he does NOT play well under pressure

NOW with just 6 vital matches remaining and in front of packed tense crowds the PRESSURE is really on!

Farke unwisely probably won't do it BUT it's really time for MJ to start over PB because

1) MJ will inject much needed urgency into our attacks from the first minute

2) MJ is clearly very confident in his ability. and very hungry and motivated to score goals and does so

3) PB does NOT play well under pressure and has started past 2 matches slow lacking in energy.

6.) 02 Apr 2024 15:54:02
OP Did Joseph have experience when he knocked in a brace against Chelsea away from home?

One only gets experience by playing. What's needed is goals. Strikers don't miss due to inexperience. They miss due to an integral lack of quality and pressure.

Experience is a word I'd apply in defence for sure but not in attack.

Disregarding MJ's menacing presence among central defenders, his threat of getting in behind and his superior radar when goals secures promotion seems hugely backwards.

7.) 02 Apr 2024 15:58:38
Did Bambi touch the ball? Oh yes. I remember now. Never ever again in a Leeds shirt. Waste of wages.

8.) 02 Apr 2024 16:22:07
Joseph missed a sitter last night. Just saying.

9.) 02 Apr 2024 16:44:03
Cork It wasn't a gimme and at least he hit the post as opposed to Bamboo discombobulated air hybrid slice shot with his stronger left foot.

10.) 02 Apr 2024 16:48:26
He hit post Cork as opposed to ballooning ball over bar.

11.) 02 Apr 2024 16:48:53
. not even bar.20 feet off target.

12.) 02 Apr 2024 17:20:44
Georgey bro tis true we do think a ? like . not always but most often ?.

13.) 02 Apr 2024 18:00:55
A game v Chelsea with nothing to lose very different to a high pressure game with everything to lose. A miss is still a miss.

14.) 02 Apr 2024 18:16:35
Look, Joseph maybe a sensation if Farke starts with him and score a hat full of goals, but if he doesn’t and misses opportunities that could put us out of the auto contention then what will the fans say?
At least he tried? No, the knives will be out to slaughter him. For me it’s too much to put on this young lad’s shoulders, too risky and I don’t think Farke will do it.
I’m definitely not a fan of Bamford, he does miss too many chances but there’s no guarantees that Joseph will score goals if he starts. The consequences for him could be very hard if he was put in that position.

15.) 02 Apr 2024 18:25:41
MJ wants to prove himself before the Euro’s start, he is so excited and wants to play, you can feel the whole place lift when he came on last night, it is vital he starts so come on DF do the right thing, you know it makes sense! ?.

16.) 02 Apr 2024 18:37:58
Brother Baz I agree with your sentiment. Our joint agreement on matters certainly over 90%.

17.) 02 Apr 2024 19:12:37
OP My knife won't be out for Joseph. Don't think any Leeds fans cutlery will appear because of the reason of his youth. We are just grateful to own such a talented 20 year old. However, the proverbial knives will appear for Paddy. I sense there's something else going on as to why Paddy gets the nod.

18.) 02 Apr 2024 19:51:24
Alfie Cuppa hitting a post gives one the feeling that a player is likely to score more often thsn he misses.

Whereas ballooning a shot into orbit far less so.

Furthermore the body language of MJ is currently far more confident, enthusiastic, exuberant and postiive than PB

MJ motivation is to score goals : lots of them!

19.) 02 Apr 2024 21:31:08
It’s a big difference starting a game than coming on when the opposition are tiring.
And to be fair we have no idea whatsoever how talented he is. Remember Lyndon Simmons?
Time will tell if he’s the real deal? But unfortunately it’s most likely he’s not a top striker. Here’s hoping he is though.

20.) 02 Apr 2024 22:42:39
Just throw him in there. You get quality experience by playing in these kinda situations, not 5 minute run ons at the end of games. I firmly believe that giving him a start will be a booster for a young confident lad like MJ. Deserves a chance now while PB isn't performing.

21.) 03 Apr 2024 07:12:40
And what sinister goings on would be afoot to ensure PB was getting the nod to start George? What conspiracy theory might that be?

22.) 03 Apr 2024 11:41:35
He’s got some mucky pictures of Farke doing a lewd act. Holding him to ransom no doubt.

23.) 03 Apr 2024 12:42:59
Something to do with group loyalties based on age, seniority etc nothing especially sinister. The last embers hopefully of "Sentiment FC". Just play Joseph.

01 Apr 2024 10:48:34
So, we are thinking of re-signing KP for 30mil?
We have Gruev, Kamara, Amps, to protect the back four.
So, where would he play? I love the guy and he is All Leeds but that's a lot of money for a sub.
PS and as we all know he is too slow?

1.) 01 Apr 2024 12:31:11
Think the love for KP will never change Leo, I believe Gruev has been outstanding for us this season, and is still so young, and the 30million plus it would take to get Kalvin?

We just may have bigger priorities, most importantly goals, especially against far superior teams in the EPL where do our goals come from?

Chis may have identified a potential striker in Smzodics, wouldn’t be ridiculously expensive and certainly knows where the net is.

Can he do it at the next level though, the forever question.

30 Mar 2024 10:36:08
I reckon this summers transfers in and out will be very interesting (whatever division we are in) plenty of movement (both in and out) tinged with, at times, great joy and great sadness. My one request that we shop early and avoid any last minute scramble.
PS It will include a goodbye Stuart but I hope that there is a place for him in the boot room somewhere.

1.) 30 Mar 2024 10:52:59
Shopping early means getting auto promotion. Play offs mean being 3 weeks behind no matter which division we may be in.

2.) 30 Mar 2024 12:11:40
Signing players early is helpful

but signing the right, best players available far, far more important.

3.) 30 Mar 2024 13:39:59
Bobbyk Promotion out of the EPL into where? Not as easy as desirous to shop early.

4.) 30 Mar 2024 14:39:15
Transfer window not open until mid Jun Bob by which time playoffs will be done.

He sounds top notch but my only misgiving would be; if he is so good why not a starter for 11th placed Fiorentina. Surely they must see his exponential growth.
I hope you are right and he is a gem waiting to be found, we could do with another Raphina. Law of averages says that somewhere out there is some young lad, with it all, waiting to be discovered.

And that, my friends is why we have Farkey. Can you imagine putting all of us in a locked room and saying don't come out till you have picked a team. We would be in forever and this "debate" over a settled side. What would we be like in some of the seasons past with a losing team. Anarchy does not even come near it. As we are showing, there is no right answer let's just leave it to the man and as a great man once said - "in Farke we trust" MOT.

Agreed we need to strengthen but not the wholesale changes that may endanger dressing room unity. For a first foray into the market 4 strategic signings will allow the team to kick on in the Prem and ease the need to panic buy in January.
Buying quality for a first team spot is hard enough. The hard part will be convincing quality to join knowing that he will be a backup but for times when things are not going to plan we need to bring on a different, not a lesser, player.
