See PSG using the sensible tactic of booting the ball out of play by corner flag from kick off. Make more sense than passing it back. Ok you are giving the ball away but if you cut goalie off then they have to defend straight away. I like this idea.

Yes, Ausman, I agree. Rugby Union always used to have possession statistics and territory, and I was much more interested in territory, as I would be with football. I would much rather the opposition have the ball in their defensive third than we do in ours. Plus, we thrive on chaos and energy more than others, so I am not saying just toss it up to DCL and hope, but get the ball to him in a structured way, get good close support to him, and we will thrive.

I don't think anyone will cope with our physicality and intensity if we deploy it in the right way. Nmecha up with DCL, please.

Brentford and Brighton have individuals in Performance roles who have rugby union backgrounds, and I think both Man City and Chelsea tried long kick offs early in the season.
I like the idea of full press from the kick off.
