Newcastle wanting Chris wood effectively makes Burnley weaker without making Newcastle too much stronger. A fantastic transfer in my eyes for Leeds United. Unless Burnley find another cornet.

How bizzare, a 30 year old who’s only scored 3 goals this season. Liked CW when he played for us in the Championship and that’s where he’ll be good, maybe Newcastle are preparing for the Championship?

Wood is a decent player. not a great season for him so far this year but can normally be counted on for a good 15-20 goals per year. Burnley's 'hoof it upfield' tactics aren't really doing him many favours this term.

I’m with Richie. I think it’s a very cynical attempt to weaken a rival. I think they will sign another two strikers in Wilson’s absence, and not get a start, in which case, it will need investigating, but eff all would be done.
