CBJ GONE. One word; "Thank **** for that! "

1.) 16 Jan 2018 17:52:25
or more accurately 4 words but i agree with the sentiment. what a waste of money.

2.) 16 Jan 2018 18:16:01
And therein lie the rules of "the obvious game".

3.) 17 Jan 2018 02:02:43
First game he played I thought he looked bright and exciting and added some width. Flattered to deceive. From that point on - nothing. Can't understand it. These young guys with some obvious talent come out on loan and have a gifted opportunity to showcase whatever they have for their parent club to see. and they clown about as though they we are not worthy to have them set foot on out patch. They think they are too good for us for them to have to put In the effort and instead come off looking like mugs, wasting their time and ours, and blotting their copy book. What a waste.

4.) 17 Jan 2018 11:35:09
Great assessment kiwi. Total waste.

11 Jan 2018 21:41:32
I know for a fact that I'm going to get shot down by many here for this post, but this is my perspective on what is quite clearly the strategy of the owner and his team. Promotion was never the goal this season; I accept the urgency many have attached to promotion, but it was never the case for the board.

They are building the base, and building for the future, which in my mind, in these days of FFP, is shrewd. Our style of football this year, has been worth watching, not the "sideways, sideways, back to keeper" dross, or "go long" carp we've had over too many seasons. The infrastructure of our great club has been addressed, and corrected, and everything can't happen over night.

As Leeds fans, we are not the most patient, but the right steps have been taken, and we are moving forward the first time in over a decade. Have a little more patience, and we will all be where we want to be. MOT.

1.) 12 Jan 2018 04:28:59
Which of our 20 odd building for the future players we have boyght will be prem league class next year when the 8-9 bought in this year are 99% league 1 standard?

2.) 12 Jan 2018 12:52:43
Bright Promotion is the goal but like Cellino we may have another water into wine merchant in Radz. The development squad needed addressing but that has received too much focus recently. We need 3 or 4 good old-fashioned British Isles pros.

3.) 12 Jan 2018 13:25:45
Promotion this year must be our aim but interwoven with this, the need for a long term strategy. Hopefully the players bought recently are being nurtured and assesed out of the spotlight and, if we don't go up this year, are the basis of a proper go next season. So far I am with Radz and will not unfurl my "out" banners just yet. In fact I am quietly optimistic of a tilt this year but am already eager for next season to start.

4.) 12 Jan 2018 14:14:27
Radz never said that was our aim for this year, he just said we would be looking at bettering last year and that could be interpreted many ways. I would guess from what is happening that we are more interested in building for the future than promotion immediately. If we develop our own talent in 2-3 years we could have a great team that didn't cost the earth and they will likely be able to continue developing into the Prem when we get promoted. wouldn't be surprised if the actual aim was 2-3 years for promotion rather than this season.

5.) 12 Jan 2018 14:39:37
I kind of agree with you Brightwhite. My mate and I had this conversation after the Forest game. Radz is doing all the right things off the field and if it did take a season or two to go up, we would be ready commercially for the Premier League. I do despair with our football sometimes. We can look great one game and average the next, but that's football. As Ausman states we do have a lot of players who aren't Premier league standard. What worries me there is a lot of them are on 4 year deals. We have a new left back, which was a priority. I do think we are a good striker away from staying in the top 6, so fingers crossed

6.) 12 Jan 2018 14:58:40
Exactly the point I was trying to make Alf. Of course promotion this year would be a bonus, but the investment made by Radz to date, has not been aimed at delivering that goal. Everything has been targeted at creating financial stability for the club as a business, and developing a team for the future, whilst remaining competitive on the pitch to remain in or around the play offs.

7.) 12 Jan 2018 15:02:07
Aus. who are the 9 Lg1 standard players?

8.) 12 Jan 2018 19:49:15
Bright I'm not Ausman thank heavens but my choices are Lonergan, Peacock-Farrell, Anita, CBJ, Denton, Sacko, PML, Grot and Wilks.

9.) 13 Jan 2018 08:25:23
I agree this squad will need additions to be able to cope on the PL but let's be honest, how many of Huddersfield's squad would you have named as being able to cope in the PL but they aren't doing that bad at the mo. You never know who may surprise us!

10.) 13 Jan 2018 11:46:29
Great post bright and good contribution Alf. For the first time in years I'm feeling very optimistic about the future. Radz seems have his head screwed on and knows what he's doing off the field. Yes there are some issues on the field and yes they might have rolled the dice on a few of the players that have been brought in but that to me is the nature of the beast, at least they're giving it a good go and building well for the future! In 3 years if we're holding our own in the PL it will have been worth not going up this year/having the perfect squad right now.

11.) 13 Jan 2018 14:35:06
Totally agree O Leary. Better to go up and stay up than to yo-yo I think.

22 Oct 2017 23:54:26
It would appear that Viera, or 'Ronny' has no idea knows him personally, has been struggling with tendonitis in his knee, which is why he's been on the fringe. What a way to come back though, eh! Boom!

1.) 23 Oct 2017 11:05:46
Should read "as noidea knows him. "

12 Oct 2017 16:40:32
BPF out on loan to York. pleased for the lad, and hope he gets some quality game time.

1.) 14 Oct 2017 17:00:31
Yeah send him out on loan, bring him back and make a quick buck on him :) because ofc he's not good enough for Leeds and never will be.

2.) 17 Oct 2017 13:35:59
Is that because we're the greatest in the land Swad?

3.) 19 Oct 2017 00:46:45
No that's because you have some poor youth players who have no chance of ever playing for Leeds on a regular basis so you just send them out on loan.

4.) 19 Oct 2017 18:39:35
very few players are good enough for Leeds. Its the price we pay for success.

28 Jun 2017 22:48:52
Feel free to shoot me down for these thoughts, but, I can't help but feel that there has been a hell of a lot of work going on under the radar since January, when AR first came in. Many were critical of our lack of activity in January, but I believe Radz was planning for this season, not last.

That he wanted Monk out, that he had already lined up the top guys that now lead from the front of our club, and also set the right people to go on and negotiate the repurchase of ER. All of these things don't suddenly fall into place in a few weeks. Plus, the potential signings coming in the next 7 days! I'm always the optimist, but I really think this is a new dawn.

1.) 29 Jun 2017 00:01:16
Said months ago he had been planning. Think he knows what he has and is doing. Think he wanted monk to stay. Glad monk didn't though. All hail Mc and jc

2.) 29 Jun 2017 00:19:27
All hail mc, ar and jc i meant.

3.) 29 Jun 2017 00:49:54
Rad was actually in and around the club since last summer, guessing that's why the summer window had a lot of deals on the DL and Monk lasted past his first 6 games. Think the lack of Jan activity was as much Mass didn't want to put money into a club he was selling and Rad didn't want to pay for players that got us up then have to shell out more for the other 50%.

4.) 29 Jun 2017 02:04:31
Totally agree Ausman spot on!

Indirectly Leeds related, but how can Fulham afford to bid £15mill for Gayle, without falling foul of FFP? (Unless they're about to sell sessegnon, and if the media is to be believed) . I just don't get how Championship clubs can fairly finance such deals? Particularly Fulham!

03 Jan 2018 21:26:39
Not Leeds related for once, but the more I read about the Jake Livermore situation, the more disgusted I become, not just with football, but society as a whole. If it's true that he was taunted about the death of his child, then respect to him for not killing the guy. No place for any of that, anywhere, any situation. Well done Jake.

1.) 03 Jan 2018 22:36:22
Totally with you Bright. Stunned and mortified when I read it. If true, he was beyond restrained. Admirable even. No place in society for such a nasty comment or the nasty piece of kit who said it. Shameful.

2.) 04 Jan 2018 00:11:24
Absolutely shocking. Disgraceful . should be put too sleep never mind banned.

3.) 04 Jan 2018 05:07:29
West Ham fans, another team like Millwall who’s fans seem to get away with any abuse! If it had been me I would of killed the stupid idiot, and no disrespect to Jane but Millwall fans have got away with taunts about our 2 lads killed in Turkey for years! Nothing will change until the FA and other professional bodies dish out the correct punishment to the individuals and the club throughout, it’s no good dishing out serious punishment to one team and then not another, yes just like we have suffered in the past yet others get away with it constantly! One rule for some one rule for others! MOT

4.) 04 Jan 2018 09:34:42
well said, banter (hate that word but still) or a joke or even taunting has a place in football but how anyone can laugh about the death of a child is just sick, my thoughts go to livermore and his family

5.) 04 Jan 2018 10:34:37
Unfortunately the scum bred freely, only the other day I was working with a client and her dog and three young lads playing near by used the f-word more times then I can remember . Social media has made it all to easy to abuse others and only in more resent times has this become an area legally challenged . Footballers are still being racially abused and as for the Livermore incident, I hope the person is found and shamed .

6.) 04 Jan 2018 11:33:16
Unless it is Ken Bates, I am sure we all agree he is pretty fair game right?

7.) 04 Jan 2018 16:41:50
It’s a pity he isn’t fair game though eh, he would get shot in August! along with all the other game!

8.) 04 Jan 2018 17:30:16
i wouldn't shoot him too easy, I have not given it any thought but I think I would tie him upsidedown naked to a chair with a drip dropping on his balls, so water torture to his plums. then I would let my little one at his hair as she loves pulling hairs out one by one, there would probably be some kind of electro shock treatment to his nips and the gimp from pulp fiction to sort out his harris. probably something like that. I mean I haven't given it much thought

9.) 04 Jan 2018 18:27:13
Bermondsey it’s only a game of football not war, this is just stupidity at its best, and as bad as the rest.

31 Dec 2017 12:09:22
Whilst I don't hold much stock with regards to the celebrations at this time of the calendar, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all fellow posters, and Eds "Happy New Transfer Window! "

{Ed007's Note - As a Scotsman I'm in the minority in not being a big fan of New Year too mate but all the best to you, the other posters and all your families for 2018.}

23 Dec 2017 21:54:58
Another great game from Felix. The man will be worth 50 billion soon.

1.) 24 Dec 2017 07:59:57
Don't forget it's hard being at the worlds greatest club Takes time to settle in
Not everyone manages to live up to playing for that shirt Many have tried. Only a few succeed Takes a very special player to play for Leeds

23 Dec 2017 21:46:57

Klich has spouted and whined too much on social gubbins, and needs to go. I know very little about Forshaw, but guess we will find out very soon.

Let's be honest, for £4.5 million, at that time, he was bad! Yep, had a few great games, but probably cost half a million per good game!

I believe in the south they say "next Friday", as in "the next Friday", so technically accurate for "this Friday", as opposed to "a week on Friday" in the south, or "next Friday" in the north. ?

I think a bit has been lost thro his second language. I'm sure that there will be another signing or two, judging by what TC has said, and Radz is just stating that he will explain our policy at the QA in Feb.
