Leeds expected to make 2 signings including gruev but are hoping to do deals for 4 players.
I’ve heard they are also expecting to lose sini but no1 else who they actually want to keep.

Guessing you mean intend to make 4 signings, of which 2 today - presumably Kamara and Gruev as per Romano “here we go” etc etc.
It’s good to finally get the Kamara deal today done today (subject to medical of course) , as with Gruev (ditto) that should see us well covered for DM/ CM and able to concentrate on getting the last 2 signings sorted - hopefully LB and CAM.

The only one linked to date that seems to be anywhere close to coming for a medical would be Kamara, and it would be a huge relief to get that one actually over the line, as at least it sounds like he wants to come here and is definitely a decent player. The rest of the midfield links seem to have question marks over fitness or interest in the deal either by club or player.
Of course the announcement of a previously unlinked, and quality, player would also be very welcome.

I have a very small confession to make. I worked with Victor and his team from afar, I knew 90% of his work travel movements and the majority of his scouts. It’s why I always had the flight up to date details and who we was signing before it was announced.
Victor clearly wasn’t very good with some of the signings but I know a lot more about them than made the media.
Gakpo was genuinely coming to Leeds, when orta turned up Gakpo’s father demanded an additional €35,000 which Victor agreed. Radz refused to pay any more and the deal fell apart.
Victor wanted Raul from Madrid as his 1st choice manager after bielsa and after Jesse. He also had a gentleman’s handshake with.

The point I’m making is Victor didn’t want Jesse, the 49ers did.
Victor didn’t even want Javier. He was literally about 10th choice.
Victor never spoke or told me things directly but I was always in ear shot of limited conversations,
I’m not defending him but I think he took the brunt of so many bad choices made by radz and the 49ers.
I’ve heard Victor on the phone telling Andrea he is a coward for not attending the Manchester games with skoobs in charge.
I’ve heard him say to Angus that he is being too conservative and he needs to stop worrying about losing his job and make brave decisions and to stop telling radz he’s making good decision.
The 49ers seemingly currently have less interest than radz does. They usually just send a representative over to watch the game. It’s an absolute joke.
Also, meslier is a really really really nice guy. He literally is everything great about Leeds United of bielsa era, he’s young and he’s making mistakes but slating his is really effecting his confidence and he looks lost round the training ground likes he’s going to have a breakdown. Please give him a break.

1) your penultimate post is a tad concerning: if correct I definitely wishing Leeds United get new owners soon not SF49ers or Radz who hopefully both sell up
2) definitely always believed the SF49ers heavily influenced in. tne Brent JM signing and all the US players but still believe that both Radz and Uncle Victor fulky on board with the 'American Dream' too
3) Meslier is 23 so not that young and needed dropping 6 months ago . he has cost Leeds ( a lot of ) points . be absolutely surprised if Big Sam doesn't select Robles in stead for final 4 games.
An experienced competent gk would have kept Leeds up . that huge error is on Orta, Radz and co.

George, I cannot tell you if orta wanted to keep Brent or not once at our club, I did say he didn’t originally want him. But you are correct George, the press release one thing even with “quotes” from people and I’ve heard different in the background from the same people.
Chris, who asked for sympathy for orta? I merely said I don’t think all was his fault and a lot of what goes on behind the scenes isn’t seen by us as fans, so we speculate to suit or narratives.

Very interesting post. I did have some suspicions. I’ve said on several occasions that matters in relation to Orta (as with life more generally) are not always as black and white as some (pundits, clickbait media and now possibly some within our Club) would have you believe.
Chris, yes, on occasion, Orta should probably have acted more professionally in relation to fans, but it can be difficult to refrain from snapping back when you’ve been the target of sustained abuse, particularly if you’re being blamed for some things which are not actually your fault. He is a very passionate guy, and he did genuinely care about our Club, the people who worked there and yes, even the fanbase - which also explains why he was so upset by the abuse he received.

I’ve always backed orta and think he was not as bad as many say
Seems his hands were tied maybe by yank influence and certainly by beilsa (so many signings under beilsa were awful espically defensively)
Best refecltion of orta comes in youth signings which seemed largely unmoloseted in terms of others saying who to buy or not
Meslier, gnoto, greenwood, joffy, and so many more of the youth team seem to prove the man was far from an idiot
Did most of his makings make money? I would say yes
Are we on a better position after he left than when he found us? Certainly so he did a decent job.

I could fill a fair few paragraphs with all his duds, Bielsa realised very soon the calibre of player Victor was getting him and imo that's why he stuck to a small squad ethos, and why Bielsa was the driver of who came into 1st team, leaving as you say, Victor to play around with youths.

LAD2 - I applaud you for bringing fresh light into this long-running debate. Unfortunately there are some on here who will dismiss anything that doesn’t fit in with their narrative about something (for example, Orta) and will gladly take on board any snippet, wherever it’s gleaned from - even the Leeds hating media and pundits - and yes, even from sources within our Club that they wouldn’t trust on other matters - if it feeds into and reinforces their existing narrative.
As you already know, I feel sympathy for Orta that he was very much misunderstood by many of our fans, and hope that, in due course at least some of his harshest critics might actually realise that much was not as black and white as they currently believe. However, he has gone now, and on balance that is probably a good thing for all of us, including him. Hopefully, going forward, it will help (at least for the remainder of this season) reduce the toxicity that was building between the fanbase and Club, a help enable the fans to focus their efforts on getting behind the squad, and the current coaching team. Hopefully there’ll be a good turnout for the U21 play-off semi at ER v Villa - I would certainly have gone, had I been able to get there.
I look forward to seeing who is brought in as DoF in due course.

All I’ve done is try to provide a little balance to the relentless barrage of negative comments from some very vocal members of this forum, and try to encourage them to pause for thought, read around, and question some of the clickbait stories they read. Unfortunately, it appears some do not appear prepared to do that but seem more comfortable with a black and white narrative that will justify the hate/ derision etc they wish to poor forth - and no, I’m not being condescending - just making an unhappy observation.

So I’m assuming like bamford injured during the warm up the other day it’s so we ain’t in Plymouth with 2 keepers and then of them gets injured and we go into the game with one keeper and they target him knowing we have no keeper on the bench?

Players come and go.
Academy players come and go.
You simply cannot play them all and keep all of them happy and keep the first teamers happy too that the kids are playing.
Who’s to say max dean didn’t walk up to the management and say if you don’t play me atleast 10 starts and 10 subs this season I want gone. And if you don’t sell me I’ll run my contract down and leave for free with no sell on fee?
And who would be happy if we kept him and didn’t sign piroe or Rutter and kept playing dean?

Farke did a presser explaining his reasoning behind piroe and Rutter. Find it, listen to it, and then stop moaning about it. If piroe doesn’t play number 10 then he doesn’t play for Leeds in the first 11. He doesn’t fit the Farke formation of the front man pressing. To some extent the same as bamford over Eddie in the bielsa formation.

Same mistake? It looked to me in the first 10 mins of the 2nd half they were far more comfortable than they had been all game.
If he didn’t change anything at half time we would have carried on the same as the 1st half.
We were dominant and should and could have been 3 up at half time.
