Linked with ex Argentina National Manager known as a maverick and famously set a team out in a 3 3 3 1 formation! He’s going to struggle finding someone to play the 1

1.) 31 May 2018 22:28:05
Bielsa? Absolute top-drawer coach

29 Apr 2018 00:36:52
I would have to say that I normally fit in the glass half rose tinted camp! However, I’m no Football Manager but clearly the players aren’t playing for PH. more importantly they seem to be oblivious to the consequences of not performing? I actually think we can do a lot better than McCarthy however, can you see our team putting in such a insipid display under Mad Mick! No thought not, still don’t think Radz will dispense with PH which I’m honest is a genuine worry !

{Ed033's Note - Is that insipid or inspired?

1.) 29 Apr 2018 15:44:43
MM won't even post here anymore Class so he's not going to want to be our manager.

24 Feb 2018 19:34:26
Well done to PH not the easiest job in the championship but he’s coming across as a genuine guy and I believe he will improve us

1.) 24 Feb 2018 20:18:53
Just think what he could do if he liked us!

2.) 24 Feb 2018 22:05:09
Mezzer you’re living in the distant past if you think managers ‘like’ their teams lots of players kiss the badge so they must love their team !

3.) 25 Feb 2018 07:53:55
Oh class sorry mate, was a poor attempt at humour!

4.) 25 Feb 2018 19:53:43
Mezzer if he liked us he'd have a better record than 1 in 4, mmmmm didn't Barnsley break there duck at weekend too? You going to say that was him too

5.) 25 Feb 2018 20:22:53
Yes martyn, all down to the manager, Barnsley win too. Someone been smoking the grass me thinks. Read the posts again, not sure how you interpret it.

6.) 26 Feb 2018 09:17:43
I'll putter oven on low now mezzer and I'll give you a shout when it's ready

06 Feb 2018 22:10:56
Did you all watch PH first training session? he speaks English! Beautiful Fluent Yorkshire based English to boot. Moreover, he didn’t sound the type of guy who would put up with any nonsense. I believe in PH (trust to follow)

1.) 07 Feb 2018 01:10:57
yeah, very good unless he is talking the sort of bullshit spoken by a manager whose previous club won 1 out of the last 16 games under his management. just being the devils advocate on account the devil can't on account he doesn't exist. Hope I am wrong and he will be a great appointment but my guess is its another disaster.

2.) 07 Feb 2018 09:34:16
I was just relieved nobody got sent off! MM

3.) 07 feb 2018 11:17:06
we are training in 4-4-1 as we end up with 10.

Controversy warning! Do you think Radz is truly targeting promotion this year? I appreciate he certainly wouldn’t turn it down but unlike a lot of owners he’s only ever stated an expectation of the playoffs.

When you look at our most recently linked signing, he’s just a boy falling under that well used phrase ‘one for the future’. The future for us fans is always the next game we play of course, I personally would rather we signed Hugil but that will cost considerably more. Then when the Team slumped and we all wondered whether TC would survive, the buzz word used consistently by Radz and TC was the “project” “long term project” Buying the ground back was amazing for us but also strategically vital for Radz.

I would think we will know for sure post this transfer window as to whether there is genuine intent to get promoted this year IF we use some of the Wood/Taylor transfer funds. Of course I want promotion as soon as possible and my passion for achieving that certainly clounds my judgement. But Radz is a very very astute businessman certainly far cleverer than me, so is the plethora of young players we continue to stockpile all to do with next seasons assault or god forbid the season after?

Probably our most telling my transfer window for many seasons, still a better problem to have than what we’ve endured in previous seasons. Personally hope we buy proven championship players to go with what we’ve got, Hugil, Madine, Kayal, Walton (Brighton Keeper at Luton is sensational) and a experienced left back whom I’m struggling to find. MOT

1.) 03 Jan 2018 15:33:40
Classof92, glad you clarified your post with the controversy warning, don't want a post that asks questions of the club to labled negative. Agree with your sentiment and agree AR does have a good business brain. We do seem more geared towards building for the future rather than the present, although I believe AR hoped the recruitment to the first team squad at the beginning of the season would be enough to get us up. For a time it looked to be going that way, but unless we strengthen for a real play off push this transfer window, I believe we will fall short.

2.) 03 Jan 2018 16:36:33
I think his intentions have been made very clear from the start; one step further than last year, which means the play offs. I don't think he's ever openly stated that promotion was a target for this year, and doubt we will see the investment in this window to push for it. Reckon we will have to be patient for a little longer yet. tho I still find the positives in the whole "investment for the future" thing.

3.) 03 Jan 2018 17:28:36
I agree lads. Promotion this year to any business man is a no brainer but play offs or at least a valiant effort would not be a failure. If we keep all our assets intact. We, seemingly, have the foundations in place, with a little winter/summer recruitment, for a concerted effort next season. This season a glorious failure will be accepted by most fans but next year; expectations will be higher and possibly automatic promotion is the only target.

4.) 03 Jan 2018 17:31:17
I agree totally Brightwhite The point I was trying to convey was as much as I want us to be promoted this year every year. The ‘project’ may have always been a 2/3 year deal. So when you asses against the project, ground repurchased lots of exciting talent for the future, attendances up. It’s going exactly as Radz hoped/planned for. Which is probably why Radz appears so calm and pragmatic on his Twitter posts whenever we have slipped up! I’m very happy, just passionate to get back to where we belong, as we all are.

5.) 03 Jan 2018 21:30:24
Bang right 92, and I'm with you all the way! And leodis, yep, just yep. MOT!

6.) 04 Jan 2018 15:39:03
I can see the promotion aim being the next few years but we will take it if it comes earlier. we won't be spending over the odds and it looks like we are clearly aiming to develop our team from the youth ranks either to sell on for decent money or to add to our own first team. I can't see it being this year for promotion myself.

7.) 05 Jan 2018 10:04:00
Didn't he say " within 3 years or he'll let someone else try" I think he's spot on Look at the money some other clubs spent ( owls) last year. They'd swap with us right now Slow and steady sometimes wins the race If he'd have been in charge when ridsdale was I suspect we'd have been a lot better off in the last 15 years

Remember the dark old GFH days there were a number of crowd funding posts to buy them out stating that Leeds fans worldwide would be a pretty significant and for a minimum investment say £100-200 each you retained a share option guaranteeing you your money back? We easily must have 50,000 fans who would be willing to invest similar amounts to add to the reported 10million transfer budget haven’t we? Just curious if you were guaranteed your money back upon promotion to the premier league would you do it? Surely a 25million pound budget aligned to a targeted clear out to help with wages could get us there. yes?

1.) 21 Jun 2018 20:27:35
Thats a banging idea classof92 give rads a call ask him if he wanna borrow some cash lol serously tho i reckon a lot of fans would.

19 Jun 2018 20:37:55
Not convinced about Stockdale the Brighton fans were certainly not upset to see him leave and whilst he can be an excellent shot stopper on his day he’s another one afflicted with the Dracula virus (can’t stand crosses) rather have Gunn from Man City and think BPF did enough to at least start as no 1

1.) 19 Jun 2018 21:13:24
Totally agree Class. And if reports are to be believed, and he wants silly money to come to the club he "supports", then stick him, and let him go to another small club.

2.) 20 Jun 2018 04:00:53
All I know is we need a backup. Am keen to see BPF stay as No. 1

3.) 20 Jun 2018 04:44:04
No reason why he shouldn’t be our number 1. But good competition is always good for the team / squad.

18 Jun 2018 18:36:10
Settled down to watch the England Game in a bar in Tenerife and little concerned with my choice (full of kids all of a sudden) then two lads asked if they could share my table. one wearing a Leeds shirt! It’s got to be a positive sign 👍

1.) 18 Jun 2018 19:14:35
Supposed to be going to Las Americas in Oct but can't see that happening now. We're you stopping class?

2.) 18 Jun 2018 19:55:28
Typical England always flatter to deceive. Hate the continued back passing reminds me of how we played at towards the end of Monk's time at Leeds.

3.) 18 Jun 2018 20:03:48
Have to agree with you mezzer, we must have someone better than Henderson and McGuire. Hurts me to say it but I think Young's been our best player so far, Sterling needs to step it up, and the back 3 needs to go from defence to attack much more quickly

4.) 18 Jun 2018 20:30:34
In Costa Adeje Martyn currently in Fanabe, my new best mate (Season ticket holder) said it’s like watching us at home! Hope you get the chance to get away Martyn do ya the world of good 👍 let me know if you’re over Martyn I’m out here pretty regularly

5.) 18 Jun 2018 20:58:58
Just to make it even more like watching us . we had a crap ref . why did we not have 2 pens?

6.) 18 Jun 2018 22:13:37
Mcguires passing was quite simply shoite! How the eff is he playing for England? Even Steve Bruce's two left feet and knock knees were better!

7.) 19 Jun 2018 00:32:02
I go to st eugines bar there. Used to have a compare called Mike Carlton he was one funny guy.

8.) 19 Jun 2018 11:57:21
Been there many times Martyn, so much so the Barman said to me now you’re a regular don’t buy any tickets in the raffle mate, it’s rigged so an employee ‘a partner always wins 😂

16 Jun 2018 22:02:39
I can see this managerial appointment hastening the ‘return of the Mick’ Crazy attracts crazy #hereshoping 😜

1.) 16 Jun 2018 23:39:16
Return of the mick. Classic what a tune

15 Jun 2018 14:25:20
Well done Radz 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Massive (expensive) gamble and am sure hatchets are being sharpened in case it fails. And of course, it’s a decision heavily motivated by self interest and potential future profits. but it’s exciting and terrifying in equal measure, but that beats apathy, disappointment and frustration any day of the week. May backfire, but it ain’t going to be boring!

1.) 15 Jun 2018 16:51:34
If it fails, it fails . but at least we've seen something big happening :)

2.) 15 Jun 2018 17:51:35
Well done, Radz. this is MUCH more like it! Paying-up for quality (instead of lots of 'cheap' nonsense) has to be the right strategy. Let's hope there's £50m or so now to replace most of the current team. Looks as though there is now hope for probably the first time in about 10yrs!

So good to read a sensible post, totally agree O’Leary just posted something similar saying we are in a good a position as we’ve been for many a year.

Total agreement Marko, think if we bought Madine and Hugil we will definitely make the playoffs. That doesn’t magically fix Keeper concerns, creative midfielder concerns BUT spending more time in their penalty box, with better goals converted ratio will cover our deficiencies.

He's a skill full player, and has been prolific at times, but is currently not playing first team football for a reason Mezzer? This is for a second half push for glory, so players on form with a proven record in giving everything every game is critical at this time. Madine or Hugil far better options at this time for me.

Hi Farsley you have a choice of around 50 in the Fanabe area, there are some very large sports bars on the Fanabe strip (sea front) but seriously the majority of them will be showing the game. The colonial does reasonable food and is bit more sedate if the wife is involved (to the left of Burger King NO MARTYN) in Fanabe, but there are limitless choices 👍

Your so right there Bright, did you also see the story about signing Wilfred Bony ? Bielsa very quickly realised (he said) that Bony did not want to join his Team MORE than Bielsa wanted him! He stated it’s a prerequisite of all transfer targets MUST demonstrate a genuine desire to join any team he manages irrespective of who they are or reputation. So Stockdale allegedly saying the wages being proposed by Leeds are too low, says he’s not Bielsa’s type! Excellent I say, a willing volunteer is far better than ten pressed (overpaid) men.

Great to have you back Martyn, and wishing you a speedy recovery, take it slow now, and rest up so your fighting fit for next seasons promotion MOT
