Well done to PH not the easiest job in the championship but he’s coming across as a genuine guy and I believe he will improve us

1.) 24 Feb 2018 20:18:53
Just think what he could do if he liked us!

2.) 24 Feb 2018 22:05:09
Mezzer you’re living in the distant past if you think managers ‘like’ their teams lots of players kiss the badge so they must love their team !

3.) 25 Feb 2018 07:53:55
Oh class sorry mate, was a poor attempt at humour!

4.) 25 Feb 2018 19:53:43
Mezzer if he liked us he'd have a better record than 1 in 4, mmmmm didn't Barnsley break there duck at weekend too? You going to say that was him too

5.) 25 Feb 2018 20:22:53
Yes martyn, all down to the manager, Barnsley win too. Someone been smoking the grass me thinks. Read the posts again, not sure how you interpret it.

6.) 26 Feb 2018 09:17:43
I'll putter oven on low now mezzer and I'll give you a shout when it's ready

06 Feb 2018 22:10:56
Did you all watch PH first training session? he speaks English! Beautiful Fluent Yorkshire based English to boot. Moreover, he didn’t sound the type of guy who would put up with any nonsense. I believe in PH (trust to follow)

1.) 07 Feb 2018 01:10:57
yeah, very good unless he is talking the sort of bullshit spoken by a manager whose previous club won 1 out of the last 16 games under his management. just being the devils advocate on account the devil can't on account he doesn't exist. Hope I am wrong and he will be a great appointment but my guess is its another disaster.

2.) 07 Feb 2018 09:34:16
I was just relieved nobody got sent off! MM

3.) 07 feb 2018 11:17:06
we are training in 4-4-1 as we end up with 10.

Controversy warning! Do you think Radz is truly targeting promotion this year? I appreciate he certainly wouldn’t turn it down but unlike a lot of owners he’s only ever stated an expectation of the playoffs.

When you look at our most recently linked signing, he’s just a boy falling under that well used phrase ‘one for the future’. The future for us fans is always the next game we play of course, I personally would rather we signed Hugil but that will cost considerably more. Then when the Team slumped and we all wondered whether TC would survive, the buzz word used consistently by Radz and TC was the “project” “long term project” Buying the ground back was amazing for us but also strategically vital for Radz.

I would think we will know for sure post this transfer window as to whether there is genuine intent to get promoted this year IF we use some of the Wood/Taylor transfer funds. Of course I want promotion as soon as possible and my passion for achieving that certainly clounds my judgement. But Radz is a very very astute businessman certainly far cleverer than me, so is the plethora of young players we continue to stockpile all to do with next seasons assault or god forbid the season after?

Probably our most telling my transfer window for many seasons, still a better problem to have than what we’ve endured in previous seasons. Personally hope we buy proven championship players to go with what we’ve got, Hugil, Madine, Kayal, Walton (Brighton Keeper at Luton is sensational) and a experienced left back whom I’m struggling to find. MOT

1.) 03 Jan 2018 15:33:40
Classof92, glad you clarified your post with the controversy warning, don't want a post that asks questions of the club to labled negative. Agree with your sentiment and agree AR does have a good business brain. We do seem more geared towards building for the future rather than the present, although I believe AR hoped the recruitment to the first team squad at the beginning of the season would be enough to get us up. For a time it looked to be going that way, but unless we strengthen for a real play off push this transfer window, I believe we will fall short.

2.) 03 Jan 2018 16:36:33
I think his intentions have been made very clear from the start; one step further than last year, which means the play offs. I don't think he's ever openly stated that promotion was a target for this year, and doubt we will see the investment in this window to push for it. Reckon we will have to be patient for a little longer yet. tho I still find the positives in the whole "investment for the future" thing.

3.) 03 Jan 2018 17:28:36
I agree lads. Promotion this year to any business man is a no brainer but play offs or at least a valiant effort would not be a failure. If we keep all our assets intact. We, seemingly, have the foundations in place, with a little winter/summer recruitment, for a concerted effort next season. This season a glorious failure will be accepted by most fans but next year; expectations will be higher and possibly automatic promotion is the only target.

4.) 03 Jan 2018 17:31:17
I agree totally Brightwhite The point I was trying to convey was as much as I want us to be promoted this year every year. The ‘project’ may have always been a 2/3 year deal. So when you asses against the project, ground repurchased lots of exciting talent for the future, attendances up. It’s going exactly as Radz hoped/planned for. Which is probably why Radz appears so calm and pragmatic on his Twitter posts whenever we have slipped up! I’m very happy, just passionate to get back to where we belong, as we all are.

5.) 03 Jan 2018 21:30:24
Bang right 92, and I'm with you all the way! And leodis, yep, just yep. MOT!

6.) 04 Jan 2018 15:39:03
I can see the promotion aim being the next few years but we will take it if it comes earlier. we won't be spending over the odds and it looks like we are clearly aiming to develop our team from the youth ranks either to sell on for decent money or to add to our own first team. I can't see it being this year for promotion myself.

7.) 05 Jan 2018 10:04:00
Didn't he say " within 3 years or he'll let someone else try" I think he's spot on Look at the money some other clubs spent ( owls) last year. They'd swap with us right now Slow and steady sometimes wins the race If he'd have been in charge when ridsdale was I suspect we'd have been a lot better off in the last 15 years

Great to read everyone’s views as always. This league raises more questions than answers, definitely the toughest league in Europe where anyone really can beat anyone. Lots of views on here about us requiring better quality players and reinvestment of the Taylor/Wood funds.

Well I honestly believe none of us would have been very happy if we had signed anyone from either Sheffiled United or Cardiff squads before the season started but look where they are now. Then contrary to this sits Wolves who spent biggest of all and ‘should’ be there or there abouts at the end of the season. then they lose to QPR! As people have said, we were lucky with results today, with only Bristol City leapfrogging us.

Yes, same Bristol City we spanked at their home ground only last week. Then you look at our individual players with many supporters saying Phillips just not up to the required standard, not certain is my own view BUT I know he ran and ran last night, so then you think is that it? In this league every single player must have to be fully 100% on their game every single week? Said it was more questions than answers, then it struck me! I can’t that’s no like previous seasons anymore bloody hell I’ve got to improve !

1.) 01 Nov 2017 08:23:17
This is the easiest championship for at least 3-4 yrs. not tough at all! I haven't seen a decent team yet. Last year there were 3-4 standouts. Every team that has beaten us has been poor and teams we should have beaten.

23 Mar 2017 23:20:17
The full back positions and who plays and what side they play has generated an incredible amount of debate. There are the rumours that possibly the left back position may not be ideal for Berardi?

Then will Charlie Taylor stay ? Lots of things in the air and although we do have a couple of promising youngsters in the team at present in Coyle and Denton. I would like to see the club make a brace and proactive step in appointing a world class coach just for the full backs.

To appoint someone who has had an amazing professional career in the full back position and someone who could utilise a near perfect marriage of coaching and playing experience to make us 'world class' in the full back positions. The guy is currently Head of Male Football at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College

There’s definitely a trend developing on this Site. When people have strongly criticised as is their right to do so, they say they are derided and accused of not being true fans. They explain they are passionate and entitled to their views! They’re bloody right. Conversely when other supporters champion a positive outlook, or dare to support heck or Radz they’re wearing tinted specs or are paid posters! Well we’re not, we just have a different passionate opinion. Point is back in those halcyon days of Mad Mick (please come back Mick) opinions were respected, banter far exceeded decisive comments and attitudes. This is my view, my personal opinion it certainly would not dare to state this was factual nor expect all to agree with it. Only respect it as an opinion from a fellow Leeds Supporter but MOT has to be more than this. Of course I respect someone whom forever reason the owner, Orta, Manager, team has decided they don’t want to go anymore, or support their team, I don’t understand it but I’ll respect it. Mick where are you. ?

1.) 13 Mar 2018 20:13:40
It's not quite like that Class but I have wondered recently on the whereabouts of Mad Mick. Perhaps his SIL finally caved in?

2.) 13 Mar 2018 20:25:08
Class you’re posts are always bang on mate. You are right everyone is entitled to their opinion but I still believe some, one or two, are unnecessarily negative. These lads just bring the site moral down and it’s no wonder the likes of Mad Mick have got pissed off. Either that or he has eloped with the sister in law!

3.) 13 Mar 2018 21:56:06
I don't think that the tone or the content has changed much. There will always be pro and anti posters but I have noticed one or two replying to any posts with differing opinions with confrontational content. A bit too "in your face". Thankfully it is only a few and hopefully they will move on to other sites where people will take the bait and a slanging matches will ensue. Thus leaving this site to the regulars and any new level headed poster, who is more than welcome, no matter what his opinions. This is, and always will, be a welcoming site for enjoyable BANTER from anyone with Leeds United in their blood.

{Ed003's Note - Good post, rather everyone stayed here tbh and just respect others.}

4.) 13 Mar 2018 22:29:55
Great post Leodis

5.) 13 Mar 2018 22:42:05
I always like to have a pinch of salt handy, whether here, or the dreaded bookface. but totally agree on most fronts. Differing Opinions and disagreements are part of everyday life, and many of us are guilty of not handling them correctly from time to time, but the one thing that stands out for me in your post, Class, is MOT. that means something special!

6.) 14 Mar 2018 11:36:33
I think there are definitely some posters on here that are happy when we lose just so they can further press their personal "I told you (insert name) was rubbish" agenda

10 Mar 2018 17:33:27
Jesus guys best supporters in England? Reading not safe yet and we create 19 chances away from home! But let’s focus on our weaknesses surely there’s someone we’ve missed to criticise from today ? This is the Leeds forum yeah? This site used to be fun but really it’s starting to get depressing of late and BEFORE we get everyone has a point of view we completely dominated that game today can we at least acknowledge that fact

1.) 10 Mar 2018 17:51:41
Certainly dominated the 2nd half Class, and there were some promising passages of play, and some good link up. Another quality goal from Pablo, and another strong performance from BPF. Forshaw looks like a great purchase, and clearly wants to be here. Another 3 or 4 of his quality in other key positions, and we will be much more of a threat!

2.) 10 Mar 2018 18:03:12
Well said Class!

3.) 10 Mar 2018 18:19:29
Well said mate and I agree, we looked a lot different today, a bit shoddy in the first 15/20 mins but then we took the game to them something that has been lacking of late. BPF has taken his chance and I think he’s made a good statement to PH, I think O’Kane and Ekuban need to get their act together because at the moment we do have better than them! Maybe things are changing and moving in a different direction, a more positive direction, but time will tell. In truth though we do have to many underperforming! But I do agree with Classof92.

03 Mar 2018 19:55:07
I too have had my say earlier and there can be no excuses for such a terrible display as Friday night. That being said I do believe PH cannot be judged over a month, Birmingham sacked Cotterill this evening rumours of Mr Monk taking over their fifth manager in little over 16months. I believe not starting Forshaw was PH first genuine mistake I appreciate his hands are tied with the goalkeeper situation but can you imagine if he had started BPF and it all gone wrong? I appreciate it couldn’t have been worse but once I’ve fully calmed down I’m supporting PH because change for change sake is no gaurantee whatsoever.

1.) 03 Mar 2018 20:13:03
Let's not blame heck. Let's go to the root of the problem Radz. No use saying he's better than Bates. He's worse than the great man Massimo and there were enough calling for his head. As a club we might be financially stable for now under Radz. But as a football team we are going from bad to worse. Blaming Orta and TC and now heck but their all down to Radz

2.) 03 Mar 2018 20:28:20
Not starting Forshaw was a mistake. Starting or even playing OK and was unimaginable. What was he thinking? I hold PH in high regard but I just can't figure this one out.

3.) 03 Mar 2018 20:48:13
Wex? How the hell is he worse than Massimo? That's the one who was banned from actually running our club for most of his tenure! I loved the mad cap Italian for what he did for us, but that statement is just wrong! Radz has bought the stadium back, invested for the future, and whilst not delivering this season, he will I believe deliver on his promise to bring in experienced British players next year.

4.) 03 Mar 2018 21:12:08
Wex well said 100% agree blame the manger blame the players, blame the person for buying the players, but who bought them all in one man Radz can’t get away from that Radz out

5.) 03 Mar 2018 21:58:03
Bright he didn't buy it back for us fans he bought it because it makes his investment worth more

6.) 04 Mar 2018 07:03:50
Martyn, some will never see it until it’s to late great post mate.

7.) 04 Mar 2018 11:46:45
Oooh we're doomed whiteman! What's going to be too late? The club going to internally combust spontaneously or something? Reading your posts sometimes suggests the apocalypse is just around the corner!

8.) 04 Mar 2018 11:53:06
Of course Martyn. But what it does do for us fans is make the club a viable proposition going forward, and all the more unlikely to face the whiteman apocalyptic scenarios we've faced under Ridsdale and Bates. Our club is not threatened by liquidation anymore, which is surely the first step away from the crap we have had to put up with for far too long?

03 Mar 2018 15:12:42
Cannot defend the indefensible! Can accept Leeds May not be able to afford players with sufficient talent to gain promotion but we sure as hell can expect them to earn their pay and moreover play for the shirt! What would make a refreshing change this week rather than reading the usual drivel from O’kane and Cooper on social media how about they refund every single one of those magnificent supporters who travelled to watch that abject disgraceful shambolic effort.

1.) 03 Mar 2018 19:34:44
We can't but Huddersfield could? Wow we sunk that low that Huddersfield spend more than us on players

02 Mar 2018 17:19:30
Going 1-3 Lassie hatrick!

1.) 02 Mar 2018 17:46:46
For all you Lucas ‘the master better’ tips followers out there. I’ve just struck Leeds to win and over 2.5 goals. Just watch me kybosh it again 😱

Total agreement Marko, think if we bought Madine and Hugil we will definitely make the playoffs. That doesn’t magically fix Keeper concerns, creative midfielder concerns BUT spending more time in their penalty box, with better goals converted ratio will cover our deficiencies.

He's a skill full player, and has been prolific at times, but is currently not playing first team football for a reason Mezzer? This is for a second half push for glory, so players on form with a proven record in giving everything every game is critical at this time. Madine or Hugil far better options at this time for me.

Totally get your point of view, and based upon Ort’as work at Boro alone I’m astounded he has a new cheque book at his disposal. But it’s Radz house now and what he says goes. I’m not certain it’s always money though George, momentum is big and we’ve all agreed that on paper we’re certainly as good as Cardiff or Bristol City, but I think we have to concede that their Managers are better or certainly performed better than TC did and Radz has to take the blame for that one. I’m hoping we blood a few this season from the 23s Bige normally is out top tipster here so he will know the most likely and I genuinely don’t believe we will be relegated. Mind you I genuinely didn’t believe Ridsdale would rent a goldfish!
