David Ornstein just posted at Eddie on his way to Leeds for a medical, excellent signing, boys a natural goal scorer I believe it’s going to happen MOT.

Speaking with a guy who’s son is in the Brighton academy same class as BennWhite said he is an exceptional prospect in the John Stones mould (Mmmm)

Having said that no Brighton fan was a fan of Tommy Elphick, huge glee when they got the money they did for him (Brighton awash with centre halves) I actually played against Tommy Elphick and Lewis Dunks father in my semi pro days (animals both of em) that being said the guy said Nathan Jones (Brighton coach) then Luton now Stoke Manager said Ben White was best prospect at entire club, so be glad to get him if it comes off MOT.

Useful info Class, thanks.

My friend played with Ben White when he was on loan at Newport County and I know it was league 2 but he said he was class and really good on the ball but he is quite slight.

Well that was a roller coaster, is what it is and cannot truly say I’m shocked in modern football. Think it was a culmination of other Swansea players on Premier league money being shipped of their wage bill, coupled with their PR disaster about signing up for season tickets left them in fear of their fans voting with their feet.

Feel sorry for the young lad, but will still end up a multi millionaire so keeping perspective here. Agree it was still a great window for us especially keeper wise. Our greatest signing was in the summer and that’s Bub. With virtually the same squad he has us top of the league on merit, irrespective of who comes back and future injuries and suspensions nobody in this league has a better Manager Coach than we have right now. It may be bumpy but I absolutely believe HE will get us up this year. MOT.

A great window we are a 2 bit outfit.

2.) 01 Feb 2019 09:27:26
Grayson

What a rubbish comment

Class

I totally agree with you.

3.) 01 Feb 2019 09:42:00
Just a case of Swansea playing hardball. They held all the Aces and as soon as the Bony deal went thro all bets were off. Not very gentlemanly but that's business.

4.) 01 Feb 2019 09:58:52
Don’t mind being a 2 bit outfit, as long as we stay in the top two and get promoted! The most important bit of business we did this year is Bielsa and his crew! We spent serious money there and it’s being rewarded! We are bringing on under 23 players and showing that we are a club where good young players can shine, develop and get real opportunities. If that’s 2 bit, wonderful!

5.) 01 Feb 2019 15:21:23
We didn’t get the one player he asked for and was on his laptop.
Good post class.

6.) 01 Feb 2019 17:50:54
Thought the one player he really wanted (me too) was a goalie and he got him? Bielsa seemed at pains to say Orta brought him James and he approved of aortas choice, rather than it being Bielsa’s man? Don’t get the sense that Bielsa feels let down, which is always my worry because he might walk away then. Never quite got why winger was the priority. Thought No10 was most important to enable Hernandez to go back wide. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

7.) 01 Feb 2019 20:38:34
He didn't ask for him Aus. Orta located james and bielsa didn't ask for him but didn't say no either.

27 Jan 2019 14:31:25
Not sure I buy into all of the hype around First plays second. I certainly not buying the psychological aspect for the players of beating the pink letter writers. Yesterday’s win was of equal importance and you still get three for a win and one for a draw irrespective of who it is.

Am hoping for a Derby like performance as opposed to a Stoke one and to be honest based on form at the time I had expected the results to have been reversed.

Plus the hype is all driven by the media and sly sports. I firmly believe our support has the potential to make the difference irrespective of who we are playing which is why I’m predicting a tight win. MOT.

Classof92

1.) 27 Jan 2019 15:00:33
Well said class, our fans can really make a difference. Pressure will definately be on us but Norwich won't want to drop points to us so will be a close game. I just hope our defence can be tight and we don't start by giving them a goal start. They are a more settled side from the team we played at their ground. The longer we stop them scoring the more frustrated they will be, I can see a few tough tackles going in. Needs a good fair ref!

2.) 27 Jan 2019 16:21:19
The good thing is that we should be back to a real defence, rather than makeshift. Hopefully KP moves in for Forshaw, and we regain the spine that got us mostly to where we are. I’m confident, as always!

3.) 27 Jan 2019 16:25:28
We need someone to take care of Pukki. If they're not up to it, could be sickening.

4.) 27 Jan 2019 18:41:49
Mezzer, you made me chuckle, a good fair ref? I haven't seen one at ER yet and I don't hold out much hope of us getting one this season.

5.) 27 Jan 2019 20:51:50
I'm always the optimist stafford, but understand what you are saying.

6.) 27 Jan 2019 22:03:38
Pukki played when we won 3-0 at their place, but then so did a fella named Saiz.

Not sure what has happened to this Site, used to be a site of opinions but centred on the team or the owners. Sadly now it’s becoming very polarised.

I’ve always been in the glass half full camp but as I have stated previously voted for Wex (second place) as my poster of the year last year. Because he made me challenge my views my opinions around Radz in particular, great!

However, the last few months we have this groundswell of posts directly aimed at us snowflake positive rise tinted glass wearing idiots. Sometimes it is explained away by a little caveat of I’m not having a go at you blind sheep. but boy didn’t I tell you so.

Thing is guys one mans terroist is another mans freedom fighter, by that I mean of course are view points will differ greatly if course everyone has a right to their opinions however, take a couple of weeks out of the site and you’ll see it’s changed beyond recognition.

Where’s Mick? Where’s Spanish, where’s Jeff? Anyway my point is there are as many digs, hits against each other as there is in landing an opinion. And when you evaluate that. we most certainly ain’t the best supporters in the land, opposition supporters can’t get to us because we’re more than capable of dividing our group ourselves.

We have had this before, with Massimo (our saviour) when everyone was asking for boycotts and naming every billionaire under the sun. but they weren’t there, the same with the squad which granted does look too light, we cannot change that until January if at all.

So whilst it’s everyone’s right to highlight these facts don’t let the frustrations of the situation lead to attacks on each other, it’s meant to be a banter site for Christ sake.

Now why does Bub not play struick or persist with Harrison as a rose tinted wearer I’m 100% in agreement, let’s debate that fact but let’s not add a sly dig just because one of us declares themselves to be a Harrison fan.

Before the games started yesterday Swans were top, they list at home to Stoke! This is the Championship every single team can beat every other single team. But if we come sixth this season I’ll still be supporting the boys not because I’m an idiot or a rose tinted snowflake but because, Jesus why do I do it? Yeah because they’re my team and I love em as much as my kids.

But I certainly won’t judge anyone who stops attending or burns his season ticket, that’s their individual right and I respect that.

So we ain’t sorry to say the best supporters in the land ( currently on this site) and yes we may fall short, but I hope we do make promotion this year, but equally I hope Mick, Spanish and the laughs return to the site also.

Finally, for many I realise the irony of asking us all to be a little less intolerant will most likely disenfranchise me to a number of posters, but truly I come in peace, I want the banter site I fell in love with back, but most importantly I’m beyond lucky as I support the best team in the land.

Classof92

{Ed001's Note - brilliant post. Best post of the year.}

1.) 06 Oct 2019 11:42:05
Excellent post, and one I echoed replying to a much earlier post from yesterday, just nowhere near as eloquently as you! Have a pint on me, Class!

2.) 06 Oct 2019 12:15:46
All my posts are tongue in cheek and i do not have a problem with posters having different opinions but if i am classed as a neghead or other derogatory term i will reciprocate. You make it sound like the positive ones are being vilified but i think you will find it was the ones who disagreed who were getting called names first. Private Jones famous words spring to mind.
As i said all posts relevant and worth reading and differing opinions are what makes this site. I called for name calling to stop a long time ago but it did not, as BW will tell you. Agree its not nice reading and we can do without it
I would not say i am negative and i want us to go up as much as you do but i say it as i see it. Way we are playing does not say to me automatic promotion, but i go to every game thinking we will. None of us can take the higher ground we are all equal and an opinion is just that, an opinion, someones point of view. Whether you agree or disagree it should be respected whoever voices it.
You are spot on any team can beat you in this division but i bet Swans fans were not praising their team on the way home, but they will still be at the next match, second best post of year lol.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 12:19:31
Class Good post but I can answer your question. Frustration. This is why we are so divisive. Acquiring James in January would've seen us promoted and we'd have a £50m player on our books now. To see him turn up you know where. I'm still getting over the sale of Cantona. To see Derby do what they did to us in the playoffs, ridicule for us Spygate on our own pitch, Spygate itself and now it's wash rinse repeat this season. Fans have their breaking point. We've been through a lot the last 15 years. All I know is that I am absolutely in love with Leeds United because each time we mess up I'm in mental anguish. I puked my guts up after Derby in May. As for Bielsa, my view is he makes things too complicated for this league and we're better off without him. He ain't going to change. Others have a different view and while I disagree with them I'll defend their right to voice their opinion every day of the week and twice at 5 o'clock in the pm on Saturday. Sometimes it's best to tell the truth and let it all out. We need to start scoring some goals.

4.) 06 Oct 2019 12:20:44
Class post, Class 👍.

5.) 06 Oct 2019 12:31:43
Some think their opinions are more valid than others at times. All opinion on this site centre around our love of Leeds United football club, some see the bright side some the more negative side but all have equal merit and right. As long as we keep things civil, long may they keep coming.

6.) 06 Oct 2019 14:12:46
great original post, also agree with belisabud and what he said I would agree with I do 100%

for me I am negitive, I don't like the current manager and his ideals. i don't mind losing i just hate under performing which i think we are massivley

Over the years I have got a lot of stick (some of it very personal) for my support of rads, for my love and greatfulness of Cellino, for my support of Wood. I have also got stick for my criticsm of Belisa, Beradi, Cooper and of course Kalvin Phillips.

I think the positive posters appear to sometimes look down on any negivtive cristcim with. you don't go to games, you don't know what you are talking about, you ain't a proper fan and even you are millwall. so after the stick when it comes out that maybe i do have a bit of a point it does bubble. plus add that with the fact that when my negitive points look to be vaild it is couple with a leeds loss so I am fuming at the time of posting.

I do agree this site is brilliant with some great fella's most of them disagree with me most of the time but i think as long as we always respect each other we are fine

and of course do disagree with me ever. i'm always right.

7.) 06 Oct 2019 14:29:48
George you contradict yourself ( again ) . you want Bielsa out but at same tine state if we had signed Daniel James we ( quite rightly) would have got promoted.

. the guy has a better win ratio than every other Leeds manager in history apart from perhaps Revie.

8.) 06 Oct 2019 15:07:36
Berm, great reply, you’re absolutely right about the unfair (in my opinion) the criticism you have received in the past.

I particularly recall a rant you were having about Phillips at half time (forget which game) and so I thought blooming eck Berm give it a rest. So, for the remainder of the game you were bloody spot on in everything that you had said Berm. I definitely posted to that effect afterwards.

Just trying to make the point we can all like or dislike the owner, coach, particular player but we ALL should not criticise our fellow supporters.

Totally get George’s point on the REAL pain and frustration at so many years of not getting back to where we believe we rightfully belong, although much as it pains me we don’t have a divine right to get promoted. But of course everyone of us should be able to criticise whenever we want to so long as it doesn’t become personal, and anyway Berm you ARE always right 😂.

9.) 06 Oct 2019 15:46:21
If you don't like the programme, switch off the telly. If you don't like the post ignore it, move on, it's only a post. It's just the more diameterically opposite it is to your view the more it will upset. That's the key, do not take it personal do not be thin skinned. The only time any post oversteps the line is when unchoice words are used of a personal nature. Any thoughts, comments about LUFC, however strong negative or positive are all fair game. I admit some posts push the definition of banter however the poster has the same rights as I have to be heard, anything more I leave to the moderators.

10.) 06 Oct 2019 15:53:21
Mezzer. Great response too fella!

11.) 06 Oct 2019 16:02:49
Bazooka How have I contradicted myself? Don't see how. My point is we are not playing the percentages unless you're going to tell there's a Daniel James with similar pace available at every street corner. You see the thing about not landing James is then you realize you didn't get him.

21 Sep 2019 17:19:22
Oh bugger!

Typical Leeds bloody stayed top of the table today, just when we were getting up some momentum as to why we won’t go up this year!

Phew, lucky it’s not end of season today
Still always next week, MOT.

Classof92

1.) 21 Sep 2019 17:29:19
how much you want a bet on promotion? I would put good money on that team not going up unless we change something dramamticly in defence

oh bugger we are top like last year. oh bugger we ain't going up like last year. we are a joke in defence and i don't see how any leeds fan can be happy with the display today. forget the table at this point. the table at this point lies. like it did last year.

2.) 21 Sep 2019 18:20:18
The table never lies but you are correct all that counts is the table at the end of the season.

3.) 21 Sep 2019 19:09:06
We are nailed on for promotion. Ok we are not taking as many chances as we should but over a season we will win a lot more than we lose. And the best way to stop a team from scoring is to keep the ball and there is none better than Leeds at that.

4.) 21 Sep 2019 19:15:21
And what would you change in defense then Bermo?

5.) 21 Sep 2019 20:23:34
Defence was top drawer again today, and by that, I mean from front to the back. Defence is not just a back four. In the whole of the first half, they did not have a single touch in our penalty area, let alone a shot! But our defence is poor! Head wobble time. The only thing that was poor today, was our finishing!

6.) 21 Sep 2019 22:54:02
Never ceases to amaze me that the lads who think all is good at leeds have a very. good knack of shaking off the comments that were made before a ball was kicked this season.
Comments like bamford ain't good enough, comments like defence needs strengthening, are brushed aside with ( ah the moaners are out tonight ) .

21 Sep 2019 15:38:26
I’m not certain swapping Eddie for Bamford would be the perfect solution.

Think George has it right With playing them both in home games!

Interesting Bielsa press conference in which he answered that very question by saying he doesn’t know Eddie’s overall play well enough as yet and in having two up top who does he take from the midfield and would we then struggle to create the chances compared to now?

Classof92

1.) 21 Sep 2019 15:47:23
So more of the same it is!

2.) 21 Sep 2019 16:01:29
I would swap klich for Eddie, might also leave a decent penalty taker on the pitch!

3.) 21 Sep 2019 16:03:09
Class92. Shacks or klich would go and we don't know how it would be. I say let's just give it a bash once and see.

4.) 21 Sep 2019 16:26:15
I agree Phil👍
I’m just paraphrasing from Bubs press conference.

One mans he’s too stubborn to change his tactics is another mans changing the system entirely may not work?

I’m for changing to two up top at home (as George originally championed)

I do believe others (Pablo) are not at their best but the criticism seldom lands at their door. Have to keep some perspective here, with 30 mins to go we are currently still top.

21 Sep 2019 14:01:58
Wow Klich! Is that over confident or just arrogance? Feel for Bamford there as he’s worked his gooseberries of today, whilst I would accept his conversion rate is not good enough just now.

Classof92

1.) 21 Sep 2019 14:24:19
Come on man, you "feel " for bamford,? He is our main striker who doesn't score goals yet gets £20k a week. We can all be happy if we don't go up that at least paddy runs around.

2.) 21 Sep 2019 14:34:40
Yes I feel for Bamford, I’m a Leeds supporter I want him to break this cris of confidence he’s experiencing at present and getting on his back won’t achieve that. yeah if I’m honest I think Eddie should start just now, but we also stopped playing and passing like we do all over the pitch, too easy to blame the 9 and the keeper every week other teams share their goals around so should we. But whilst I’m looking for the cat to keep co, we are still top, still playing well creating chances and sooner rather than later we’re going to hammer someone.

But all opinions ain’t it, you have yours I’ll have mine but ALAW.

3.) 21 Sep 2019 14:36:26
£20k think again near on double that!

4.) 21 Sep 2019 15:23:48
Class it's not a confidence thing he's been like this for 4 seasons.

15 Sep 2019 19:20:25
Resilience in abundance today, long long way to go, Barnsley will beat some top teams this year, so if not a great performance a great win, certainly a game I do not believe we would have won last year. Lots of areas for improvement but also six away wins on the bounce, top of the league and hopefully Bub will have learnt a lot from today not least how Shacks has the potential to be our outstanding performer for this season.

Very happy MOT.

Classof92

1.) 15 Sep 2019 19:38:12
Thought he was average with a poor last touch, rushed some of his passing too.

2.) 15 Sep 2019 19:46:52
Poor poor game imo, I think the reason Eddie isn’t on from start is a fitness thing, maybe bielsa thinks he hasn't got a full 90 in him at this pace yet.

3.) 15 Sep 2019 20:15:33
Didn’t see the game. How did Shack play? I don’t agree with Bermo and others that he can play the Phillips role because he’s more direct in his forward movement and he is better off the ball than on although he can pick a pass.
At a three day wedding so not sure am I making my point properly.

4.) 15 Sep 2019 20:20:30
Almost agree Martyn re shacks. Good first half, average in the second. He will get better tho, but I prefer Forshaw right now.

5.) 15 Sep 2019 20:54:14
With shacks pace and directness I see him operating in a more forward role myself

Pace scares defenders to death.

6.) 15 Sep 2019 20:54:47
I thought just about all the team were very average today apart from Kiko, who was above average. Fortunately our average is better than Barnsleys best! Hopefully back to our best on Saturday.

7.) 15 Sep 2019 21:02:06
Good job Arsenal have Aubameyang playing well at the moment or I could see Eddie heading back home. Surely Bielsa must see Eddie has to start against Derby, the lad must be screaming inside sitting on the sidelines while chances are going begging. Hate the super sub tag the media are giving him as this lad deserves to be in the team. If Roofe hadn't moved on and was fit, wonder would be have started before Bamford?

{Ed001's Note - they can't recall him until January.}

8.) 15 Sep 2019 22:27:50
shacks would do a different job to KP, Shack can't pass but is quicker and can tackle and offers more defensively so it is is a case of what do you want in that role

think forwshaw with shacks would offer a lot of protection for weak defence and a lot of pace, energy and that would protect us and break others down.

I am all about fitness and engines though, i would not want my team to play against shacks and forwshaw as it would be a long game.

9.) 16 Sep 2019 02:28:54
90+ mins.

10.) 16 Sep 2019 03:06:57
Lanzorotte in 4 weeks class.

11.) 16 Sep 2019 05:58:24
If your about son 😜.

12.) 16 Sep 2019 07:08:54
Arsenal have no reason to recall Eddie - he is getting games and doing well in them. I think Bielsa wants to use him and Costa as impact subs to change games when the opposition are tired and it is working. If they were on from the start I don’t think they would be as effective.

13.) 16 Sep 2019 09:53:58
I am sure Costa will want to make his transfer permanent at the end of the season to be only an impact sub or play cup games. Say it again if Roofe hadn't left would bamford be first choice striker or would bielsa play both together? Are we saying Eddie is now only seen as worthy as a sub to bielsa? Hate to think how much playing time he would be getting if he hadn't scored a few. Be sitting on the bench like Izzy Brown.
