If they are going to progress then Leeds will have to learn to impose themselves on other teams and to have a plan B.
Whilst everyone wants to watch pretty football it does not always win matches. We need to "get stuck in" and grind out results when necessary. The top Leeds sides of old always had the skills to match anyone but could square up to the most physical of teams when called upon.
I am not calling for a complete abandonment of our passing ethic but sometimes a well placed route one ball works wonders and gets the opposition wondering what's coming next. Defenders hate turning and running down on their own goal, add to the mix the skill and pace of Antenucci and who knows what dividends may be gained over a season

Great post and I have said same many times. Love the passing game and it has a place but we need more steel and ability to be more direct when this is not working. Leeds were very very direct under wilko and were very very tough under revie. As arsenal show all the passing game in the world with lots of ability will only get you so far, at the moment the passing game of arsenal is below the direct game of west ham dispite having bigger budget and so called better players. Sure redders will sort this out still early days for him

Very good posts both of you. We are crying out for more experience and leadership on the pitch especially in midfield.

Fact. we can play football. fact. we can't stop other teams playing football, we need a defensive coach a.s.a.p.
