Lots of symapathy for Redfearn all over the press and ex players giving their views but let's look at it from Cellinos point of view. He bought us with the hope of getting us to th premier league. He took on a lot more debt than he imagined and sorted it. We needed new players and he got 18 new players for us so Redfearn would have a squad to work with. Has he worked with the full squad, no.Bianchi, Sloth, Doukara, all players who everyone said played well initially have been ignored. Fabro, Montenegro who have impressed in reserves have been ignored. Cellino gets banned and the place falls apart while he is away, and Redfearn should take some responsibility for this. He makes it sound like everything happens without him knowing anything about it, did his friend Thomppson not tell him about his feelings and did he not give him any advice, No to either of these shows Redfearn had no respect from this man. Lack of professionalism on both of them.
Positive thing for Redfearn is we are safe in the league. But is this thanks to him or luck. If we had lost the games we should have lost, Ipswich, Middlesborough, Bournemouth we would be down there with Wigan and Millwall. So I am thinking more luck than judgement. Another plus is Cook and some of the youth coming through, but they would have been given their chance anyway by any decent manager, maybe not as quick or used as often. Are playing any better, we play better football but we still are not a threatening team, lack passion and a cutting edge. This month has shown how good we really are.
Has Cellino slagged anyone off, no. Will he have been watching and assessing what he needs to do when he gets back, yes. His first statement was to commit to buying four more players and sorting out who stays and who goes. Players like Adryan who was valued at 2 million who he was willing to purchase has been ignored? Everyone who has seen him play agree he has undoubted talent except Redfearn who would rather push other young untried players through before him.
So Cellino a guy lumbered with GFH as partners getting slagged off by ex players and fans is still willing to invest in the team to take us forward. If he decides to bring in a new coach, a new board, a new scout it will be because he thinks it is best for the club. So personally I am 100 per cent behind him because he has every right to walk away with all the bad press but luckily he is what he said he is a mad f###. mot

Flipping this the other way, don't you think MC, while away is manipulating things.

agreed that he sorted the finance out and brought in players. But he has always wanted full control of every aspect of the club and after a while most fans took a shine to him. But now, all I can see him saying is "look how the club is doing without me there".

Yes Redders, probably had a bit of luck but every manager and team does, but in his first spell he galvanised the squad and got 10 points from 15 (I think), in his second spell results started going our way when he had support from an assistant. Take away that support and help and results start dropping. And with regards to selection, we can only play 11 players at any one time. Yes maybe the attack needed more attention and variety, but the defence has kept us in games and knuckled down when needed and the midfield has developed further with Cook, Mowatt, Byram and Murphy all impressing.

We are safe and MC knows it, now he is manipulating everything so he can look like the saviour again for next season and at the same time bring down running costs over the summer.

A new coach will be brought in, English players will be sold and another 18 players will be brought in. We will start slowly, the coach will get sacked and then we are stuffed again. then on to 16/15 (and probably another tax evasion court case)

Sorry ds can not agree. Defence is not solid Wooton is not a full back and offers little to Byram going forward, Berardi or Coyle should be there, or even Byram. Berardi is not a left back, Taylor is. Bamba is solid but lacks a bit of pace, Cooper can be naive at times and Berlusci is Berlusci. Midfield have, apart from Cook have no bite. Thay pass it around well but lack a final ball. Austin typifies this, last game 86 touches no chances created and no crosses, yes a lot of work rate and harassing and running, teams chasing promotion need more than that. Whatever striker we play will not score loads of goals unless he gets the ball in the right areas.

It's all well and good saying that Adryan is a good player and has talent but what did he actually bring when he was playing for us? He did a couple of fancy tricks and very little else, whereas someone like Doukara who got assists and goals is never called for by the fans.

Also what you need to remember here is that Cellino has been proved to be a liar. Said he was going to spend the McCormack money on buying ER and hasn't bothered. He said he had wiped the club of debt and now it's been revealed that the club is still in a ton of debt.

I really wanted to like MC but it's obvious to anyone but those clinging to any hope of him being decent that he's earned his reputation as a con artist and a crook.
