I hear a lot of views expressed from SE amongst others words to the effect that [ there's no point bringing anyone in as its unlikely we will challenge for promotion this season]
So no Lafferty or anyone else for that matter.
Does SE and MC realise that we are 17th in the championship and that we are by no means certain of securing championship football for next season.
I feel there is quite a bit of Hubris around in the decision making at LUFC currently. Hope this way of thinking doesn't come back to bite us.

Lafferty is reported by Evans as being too high a wage which would disrupt the existing squad. A very noble and sensible decision however going forward how can we expect to bring in the necessary quality if we have a restrictive wage cap? Quality players come at a premium.

They're banking on Wood scoring enough with Doukara. Should work but only just. Boy do we need sorting out in the summer. It starts with getting rid of GFH. If Parkin replaces them we have a chance. So long as they remain each season will end when it begins in the middle of August.

Spot on Notts. None of the team would mind if they could see there's something in it for them, ie promotion. Team needs 5 quality additions all coming in same time so the players who are here now and will make up the first team next season know their place and see the value in those incoming players. If we don't add such additions in the summer bye bye the remaining crop of good young players. Summer is our last chance saloon imo. We might never recover after that and could easily head into admin yet again.

Agree with above comments re not smashing apart wage structure . However, in the summer we will need a front man who is better than what we have at the moment. And surely that means he is going to cost more. And presumably the better he is the more he will cost . We need an expensive one!

I agree about Parkin george, By way of comparison, Don't know how much Gibson at Boro is worth but he has got them competing at the right end of the table. and has been the case for the past few seasons. That with P1$$ poor attendances week after week for a team near the top of the league. Doesn't need to be an arab sheik in this league.

Also correct about GFH, Need to exorcise ourselves somehow of them, they are Bates gift to us and as you might expect do nothing but suck their share of any profit margin without putting anything back.

Agree with all of above, short sighted and insulting excuses about lack of signings are becoming very predictable of SE & MC.
Failure to bring in decent striker could cost us our championship status, Fulham and Bolton are pressure games we need to get all the points from because April's jlooking a whole lot tougher.

Please stop taking us for complete idiots with these constant pee take feeble excuses.

Our seasons finished again, it is important for us now to; maintain our Chamionship status.
If we do Cellino over the summer needs to invest in the squad with quality and pay them the salary. No ones half decent is coming to play for Leeds on the cheap.

An honest clear statement of his plans for the club would be welcome but that is totally not going to happen ever.

Really frustrated, still love and support for club will never falter.

To get in the required quality we will need to offer wages upwards of £15k a week. This is unlikely to happen.
