I guess one option in selling Struijk and buying Charles is it could allow Ampadu to drop in alongside Rodon and/or Bijol putting Charles at CDM. However, I think that whilst Ethan can play there, CDM is by far his best position.

And I't don't think this is the plan. Think they will be going for a new CB. Would want us to try for Denis Cirkin too. He's not a starter, but if Gabby stays as no.1 need more depth.

Amps is way better as a defender than as a midfielder.
Very slow, average midfielder.
