Hockaday and Junior Lewis officially gone with Redfearn taking over until someone else appointed

1.) 28 Aug 2014
About time, Ronald has gone back to McDonald's where he belongs

2.) 28 Aug 2014
I feel sorry for him a bit, he was never good enough for the job and the way Cellino spoke about him was disgusting and now other managers will have seen how Cellino belittles people and think twice about working for him, it's Cellino that is at fault for our poor start and not Hockaday

3.) 28 Aug 2014
There both at fault, the president MC for giving him the job and hockaday for taking it knowing it was too big for him.

At least MC is not afraid to make a decision, so I guess Hock got a payday!

5.) 29 Aug 2014
I would like to see David O'Leary given another crack at the job.

So you could say that in 7 or 8 months he has sacked 4 managers/coaches Brian Mc x2 & hock after Watford, thought about it and sacked him Thursday instead? Who is going to take the job knowing you don't have a choice in who signs, you will get 1/2 a season max to get things right so instead of hiring and firing unknowns and having to pay them off, why don't he get a proven manager/coach in buy him some quality or at least some players who he wants and give the man a chance? Red fears will make wholesale changes for Saturday, expect to see a bit more youth, width and pace in the team, no more 4 centre mids all playing together maybe poleon, ajose on the wings, and cook, bianchi, and sloth in the Middle, Taylor May be given some minutes at full back OR he is given the teamsheet from MC and he just does the team talk? NEVER a dull moment MOT

PS what on earth did Lewis do anyway, never seen him speak tbh. Nice pay off we think, I bet MC had a clause in his contract so he doesn't have to pay him the full wack? MOT

8.) 29 Aug 2014
Must admit royal I was a fan of o'leary too so I would like to see him back but would he come with a trigger happy president? We wouldn't be in this situation if MC. Had made a good decision in the first place because everyone saw it coming but him so let's hope he learns from it and gets us a real leader.

I feel sorry for him. Whether it would have worked out ultimately, who knows, but the effort the players put in on Wednesday hadn't been seen from a Leeds side I have watched for a long time. and I a think that they were doing it because of him.

Potential managers will be very weary of joining us now, if this is what it will be like from one week to the next.

10.) 29 Aug 2014
Is that a joke Royal? I think Dolly burnt all his bridges at ER last time.

11.) 29 Aug 2014
It seems to me that he was only given the job as a win win scenario. If he succeeded then bonus, if he fails then he can get in the man he wanted without this English manager tag.

12.) 29 Aug 2014
MC will decide no matter what.
IMO Steve Clarke has a vast amount of coaching skills and quality, experience gained from his Newcastle days with Gullit and Chelsea with Mourinho. Worked as assistant also under Zola at West Ham. Success with Liverpool coaching, First managerial position with West Brom is arguably considered a success - Manager of the month (once), finishing 8th.
6 major honours as a player, incl Chelsea player of the year 94.
MC, stick you're long haul hat on and grab Clark. Change you ways and take advice from those around you, You all work for our club.
He has the credentials its up to you to show your commitment to him, nice long contract maybe. Give us stability.
The others in the race are either unknown qualities or we have been there before, New blood and vision needed, after all 12/13 new players to deal with. So deal with it. MOT

From a purely business perspective I think think appointing Dave was a shrewd(ish) move. The owner didn't really understand the league, there were a lot of crappy financial issues to deal with and Dave was (apparently) only on an 80K per year deal so sacking him isn't going to hamstring the club with further financial woes which is what happened in the past. I do hope for a better quality manager now though.
