Just a thought.

Our U23s did very well last year we can all agree on that. And there is quite a few with great potential and ready in theory to make the step-up.

In an ideal world we would spend millions and to some extent buy promotion. BUT we don't / FFP doesn't allow this.

If we did spend millions I bet you, the posts about wasting the U23s homegrown talent would be flooding in.

Let's put our faith in Gotts Shackleton, Strujk, Bogusz, Edmondson and various others.

I would rather see us bring youth in rather than throw cash at journeyman.

That being said I would like a new experienced CB. Williams would be great. Love Cooper but I think he is the secondary CB rather than the leader at the back. Just hope White can deliver as I really don't think a new CB coming in.

End of the day, we can't do anything about it so try and see the positive and enjoy the ride.

I think we'll do it. #MOT.

PMB Very good post. The two younglings you missed are McCalmont and Stevens who both look fantastic prospects.

agree stevens looks great

also agree about giving youth a chance. i only mind when the youth don't get us up then we end up selling said youth.

not getting promotion doesn't bother me, seeing us sell the likes of veria and clarke for a pittance when we don't go up does.

Glad we are recognising Stevens as a talent at last. Mentioned him over 12 months ago as one to watch, talent spotter me.
