Like London buses, no posts for ages and then.

Carlos Corberan, name linked with the Huddersfield job. I'd like him to stay and be part of the premiership coaching team and category one academy team. Don't think a job with Huddersfield offers much for the cv and could easily be out of a job by Christmas. For me, he has been part of our success over The last few years and he deserves to be part of the premiership experience. Hope Bielsa wants him to stay.

1.) 20 Jul 2020 14:28:36
Agreed Spanish. Just posted similar, with out catching up first! Doh!

2.) 20 Jul 2020 17:56:01
Spaniard Could not agree more. It's a downward backward move for CC at this juncture. Radz spoke about aiming for PL stability. Don't see how that's achieved by allowing CC to go. CC shouldn't be allowed to leave until after first season back in PL.

Well guys, I've just got a feeling that today is going to be such a good day that even Wex will be happy! Ok, well perhaps not that good but you never know!

French very tall goalkeeper in, Eddie on his way down the M1 and I think he is an excellent piece of business! Then the Italian Irish connection. Kent would really start to get the champagne opened but the one that might settle a few defensive nerves on here could be Cameron Vickers, perhaps, perhaps something that might have been mentioned during the Clarke negotiations.

If all of that happens, I think it's been an incredible window, first three and it's ok, kent would make it very good!

At least with the cut off at 5pm, we don't even need to think about going to bed!

1.) 08 Aug 2019 10:34:20
Well just read Phil Hay and he is saying Eddie and the French goalie and that’s the lot! He is very rarely wrong and doesn’t normally predict unless his sources are good. Let’s see!

2.) 08 Aug 2019 10:38:15
Spaniard Looks like CCV going elsewhere and according to Phil Hay we're only signing Eddie today and then we're done for the summer window.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 11:07:49
Disappointly think you’re spot on George

Looks like others have done or doing decent business

Scott Carson would have been useful and our “relationship” with Spurs and Poch seems non existent despite the hype.

4.) 08 Aug 2019 11:39:48
Suppose we shouldn’t be surprised

MB wants 18 players plus U23s as required

Roofe and BPF out, two in, job done.

5.) 08 Aug 2019 11:47:40
Scandalous window. Another two loans which will probably only cost a couple of million means that Radz and Orta finish up with around £20million profit while we get a bunch of loan players that may or may not work out for us.

6.) 08 Aug 2019 12:44:42
theres certain positions where it shouldn't be a case of we will wait and see how it goes alf, Basically the spine of the team, and here we are again with that very scenario about to be played out, kiko does be all over the place, and if he is dropped then we WILL be told this new young lad will take time to adjust to UK game, all the while points will be dropped . Fingers Crossed the lad hits the ground at a 1000 mph,

12 Jul 2019 08:04:05
So shaunessy and Pearce not featuring in the two games in any form . Assuming that means thank you and goodnight?

1.) 12 Jul 2019 11:44:04
Spaniard Nessy just isn't good enough. Pearce is but doesn't fit the Bielsa style. He's composed but a tad slow for the system. I'd sell Nessy if a fee can be obtained and loan out Pearce as he could be useful to us in the future.

12 Jul 2019 08:00:36
Ok next up for the gamblers and guessers! Who won't be on the plane to Australia! Sounds like bit of a fight going on with the commercial boys and reported that Bielsa wants to keep the new boys and late returners training hard and not making the trip, including a number from last night. That sounds like a good plan to me. Also assuming no Roberts and Ayling. Perhaps a good idea not to take any CBS as well! Not sure papa Hernandez needs a trip to Australia either. Wonder if there are any good CBS out there who could come back with us?

1.) 12 Jul 2019 11:09:00
Ausman and others over there may know better, but as far as I can tell there are no decent CBs playing for Western Sydney Wanderers (their best appears to be Dylan McGowan, who I would not pick ahead of Struijk) and not even any across the city at their more illustrious neighbours Sydney FC.

2.) 13 Jul 2019 03:28:23
Nobody here good enough.

08 Jul 2019 21:37:30
When Bielsa talked about staying, he would have made it very clear what he wanted, what the preferable and positive sales could be. It obviously wasn't a surprise that Pontus would go, and in that knowledge. Kitching, Aappo and Paudie were let go, which means that even with no Pontus, they weren't in the plans. Shaunessy, hasn't gone any where, so, although it would be a surprise to me, he might be featuring preseason.

Likewise it wouldn't be a surprise that we would have offers for JC, KP and Roofe!

Point is, there will be a plan and Bielsa will have ideas for how he can use the squad that he appears to be fine tuning. Like Raggity says below, he deserves the chance. Let's see how we start to play some football.

1.) 09 Jul 2019 10:58:53
Damn you are your profound logic Spanish! 👍🏻.

2.) 09 Jul 2019 12:42:37
Spanish if the plan is to go with Cooper, White and Struik plus makeshifts then most would agree it’s a daft plan . If they pull a top quality replacement out of the hat, then that’s a different story . Problem is Bielsa was on record last year as being happy with the numbers in central defence . He’s now swapped Pontus for White, so I suspect in his myopic eyes all good .

3.) 09 Jul 2019 15:30:51

As the manager of Leeds United Football Club, do you think it would be a good idea to sit in a media meeting and pronounce that he thinks his centre backs are not up to it?

This is what you think he should have done?

So how do you think that will motivate Cooper, Jansson, Beradi, Struik, Halme and Diaz?

What support would they have given Biesla for the rest of the season?

Also, every agent of every centre back would have been beating down his door. And ever club with a reasonable centre back would be inflating his fee.

4.) 09 Jul 2019 17:48:47
Axe incorrect . Even the board last Summer tried to persuade him to go for Bartley . He wasn’t interested . His school of thought is pretty much anyone can make a job of CB if they can use the ball . Fine in South America or may be even Spain but not on a wet Wednesday night at the Den it’s not!

Worth mentioning the under 23 4-1 win against Crystal Palace. This was a genuine under 23 side with the Leicester game tomorrow . gelherdt scored 2 and looks really classy, Cody and Huggins had strong games. Performances really coming together. This takes the team to 2nd or 3rd in the league . Very encouraging.

1.) 01 Nov 2020 20:25:29
Yes Spanish very encouraging.

I watched most of the game and was impressed by the entire team,

with a special mention for 16 year old Max Dean who played well amongst older players and took his goal well too.

Geldherdt goal was class.

2.) 01 Nov 2020 20:52:33
It's a pity BamBam and co are playing so well, Gelhert is knocking loudly on the door.

3.) 01 Nov 2020 21:12:52
Bazooka, it’s well worth watching it isn’t it. Good quality football . Next game is Friday against Newcastle.

4.) 01 Nov 2020 21:31:27
Good reports. Perhaps Gelhert deserves to be on the bench for the firsts at least?

5.) 01 Nov 2020 23:08:33
Geldhart looks very promising.

6.) 02 Nov 2020 08:07:08
As ever I’d really recommend watching the under 23s on line if you can. Great showcase of the talent we have coming through and have bought in. Bazooka is right about Dean, playing at this level with real enthusiasm and promise. I love that it is just so joined up with what is happening with the first team squad and when you add in the talent we now have out on loan it’s a really encouraging picture of how the club has moved on. These kids know if they can catch Bielsas eye, they will have the opportunity to progress into the first team environment.

7.) 02 Nov 2020 12:14:24
Good posts Spanish.

25 Oct 2020 17:28:14
Watched the under 23 game today, great example of how far Bielsa and Radz have taken this club.

The under 23 structure mirrors and structures the first team. First team players know they have to take any chances in the under 23s seriously and perform. They do! As do the under 23s themselves. There is a clear route and expectation and if you don't like it, bye bye. We have bought in some great talent at under 23 and we have some promising talent out on loan! The club has a present, near future and future! Also loved today that Struick was put back on the bicycle and given one half as DM and another as CB. Great performance culture and superb team spirit! Coupled with the result at Villa, great weekend for the club.

1.) 25 Oct 2020 21:10:51
We finally have professional people running the club in key positions who actually know what they're doing, and it is a breath of fresh air. Enjoy reading your posts too Spanish.

2.) 25 Oct 2020 21:30:50
Excellent to see.

3.) 26 Oct 2020 08:13:32
Club is in great place top to bottom and I think we could have our best crop of youngsters ever. old Orta and one for the future seems to be paying off.

4.) 26 Oct 2020 10:13:40
Spanish, my go to for all things U23, great post. Couldn't care less about injuries or loss of form. Some real gems to step up.

20 Oct 2020 09:30:40
My goal for this year was always to stay up. Don't get carried away with the hype about how we play and talk of Europe or even top ten. it's going to be all about learning and developing in the premiership. Let's remember how long it took us to get back here and how difficult is was to get out of the Championship and even league One!
Wolves are a good example of a team that has settled back into prem life well, spent money but found a style of play that works. I think that premiership experience showed last night but only just.

Have faith guys, We had to play Struick again last night and he looked solid, who would have thought that by this stage he would have played 2 prem games. Meslier made two great stops, Koch growing with each game and with no settled partner, Rodrigo settling in and the new Brazilian looks like he might be quite scary. Pablo back and made a difference in a shorter spell. The more time Bielsa has with these guys the better we will get.

1.) 20 Oct 2020 20:00:53
Spanishleeds 100 % agree stay up and build one for the future.

28 Sep 2020 16:04:50
Well done Under 23s on their first win in the new league 3-1 away at Sunderland. Nice to see a new line up starting to gel. The Wigan lad will get a lot of plaudits but greenwood the lad we picked up from Arsenal got a good hat trick and lots of good performances today.

1.) 28 Sep 2020 19:55:35
Early days, but we may have a couple of gems there.

2.) 29 Sep 2020 10:18:12
These (and others) are some of the reasons I am not too worried about potential signings.

25 Sep 2020 22:35:52
What makes Bielsa, going to watch Huddersfield tonight to see Carlos get his first win. Great to see . Sure he had a few thoughts on the game!

1.) 26 Sep 2020 09:25:14
Pleased for Carlos, which is hard to say, given it’s the dog botherers.

2.) 26 Sep 2020 12:17:17
Never thought I would say this, but with us out of this division and Carlos at the helm wish Hudders well. Plenty of our old foes for them to nail. There were signs that Carlos will succeed with our tactics.

3.) 26 Sep 2020 12:38:57
That’s the of Bielsa. Bet he’s always there if Carlos needs advice. Can see Carlos returning to LUFC in time.

4.) 27 Sep 2020 09:30:22
Woody, if all goes well, I can see Carlos taking over from Marcelo. I bet there was a clause put in his contract to allow him to do so. but I’m not going to bet a tattoo.

This one seems to be moving quickly. Looks like an ideal Bielsa player, young, needs to move on to the next level, can fill a few of the midfield slots, like the look of him.

There is a Leeds legend that some years ago a female Leeds fan had written, “ all I need is a f*** with Speed” on the wall of the female toilets. Imagine what fun they can have with Koch, so to speak!

Good Post Danny, remember Bermondsey said we wouldn’t win promotion with Phillips playing, that Bielsa was so bad he would have gone by last Christmas, that Phillips would never play for England and he was so confident of that he promised to get his arse tattooed if he did!
Bielsa is the reason we are back in the premiership, yes he makes mistakes ad do we all, including Bermondsey with most of his flamboyant dramatic predictions and statements. I trust B from Argentina more than the B from Bermondsey!

Without doubt Struick has played more than he or Bielsa would have imagined in the prem this soon in the season, starting 3 games and big games in two different positions. Big call for the lad. Thought he lacked confidence today in Cm in the first half but made a real contribution in the second as CB but with a lot of the ball going forward. Needs some tlc now. Interesting to see how Bielsa handles the next game.

I’m more with Canada, Chris Chris and Aus on this one. I agree that you should keep an open mind on all you read and hear in the press and media but that includes a lot of the conspiracy posts as well. Just as Not believing the mainstream media doesn’t make you mad, not believing some of the conspiracy posts doesn’t make you a sheep either. Keep an open mind and be critical and be tolerant of other people’s opinions.
