Welcome to LUFC Morten Spencer

One for the future 😉.

Bearing in mind Citeh were after him, the lad will do for me 😎.

2.) 29 Mar 2019 19:35:54
City were after his brother marksand.

3.) 29 Mar 2019 20:40:59
Boston 🙄🙄🙄😁.

4.) 30 Mar 2019 02:58:59
Liverpool wanted his other brother Frank but Betty wasn't having any of it.

08 Jan 2019 23:21:05
I know some shoot me down but,

Bring in a winger, would that drop Clarke down? Harrison and Alioski have done ok for us ( see league table) I’d not want another mo barrow rocking up to do nowt for more money than the likes of shack, Clarke, Stevens, Gott and block their development.

Looks like baker is off back to Chelsea as he’s not getting game time. Again I’d say he’s not grabbed his chance and that’s not a bad move for all concerned.

We do possibly need gk back up or is MB happy with the huffmeister.

The only guarantee with spending £20m now is that you’ve spent £20m.

You’ve only to look at the likes of the wendies and derby previously. Boro, Stoke, Villa and the florists now to see money spent isn’t always a guarantee of success.

If MB is happy with the u23s and players coming back, we are not in that bad a place.

Good players available at the right price are hard to find in January.

1.) 08 Jan 2019 23:50:11
Baker off to Reading, what's the chances of him playing a blinder against us next time and scoring the winner just like mo barrow.

2.) 09 Jan 2019 06:17:50
It’s probably nailed on Mezzer 😂.

3.) 09 Jan 2019 09:25:53
Good post Other.

25 Nov 2018 08:49:05
As we all said start of the season, we will be challenging Norwich for top spot whilst fending off qpr for second place come May

What on earth is going on 😂😂😂😂

On a serious note, watch out for forest. Karanka has them boring folk into submission. Rest of the usual suspects are there too

Going to be a tricky few months with some bumps along the way

Keep the faith, make ER loud and proud.

22 Nov 2018 22:48:22
Bamford scores a worldie in training and MB runs ( ish ) most of the length of the pitch to hug him

That, fellow followers of the one true faith, is why we will be promoted.

This is a club on the up, one purpose.

Think it’s fair to say Mr Orta is Leeds now 🤗.

Other woody

1.) 08 Oct 2018 10:43:34
An interesting point Woody, and was great to see such passsion in his celebrations. As the man behind recruiting Bielsa, he needs lots of credit, and lots of apologies from those who slated him.

2.) 08 Oct 2018 12:00:53
Has he changed his name by depoll Woody?

3.) 08 Oct 2018 14:31:57
VO will be one of the first on the pitch when we get promoted :)

4.) 08 Oct 2018 17:16:10
He took a hammering last year and didn’t walk away when he could have.

He was right about Klich

Some very good players in the u23s

Let’s judge him in 5 years. Looks like he’s here for the duration and I like the guy if that is how much a Leeds goal means to him.

5.) 08 Oct 2018 20:21:18
A mate of mine bumped into Victor in Leeds on Sat night. Says he was really nice and when asked to sign some quality in January Orta replied ‘don’t worry’.

6.) 09 Oct 2018 09:13:12
He was right about Klick bit wrong about everybody else.

7.) 09 Oct 2018 15:50:13
Saiz and Alioski haven’t done too badly

Rest are hit and miss

Grot still has a chance

As the man himself says, you can sign technically good players but you won’t know how they respond to a different country, league or Millwall

I think they learned lessons by signing players with more experience of the league

Everyday’s a school day.

8.) 11 Oct 2018 12:22:41
Its nice that the bloke is showing a bit of passion but the bloke has brought a lot more garbage than good players in, let's not get too excited.

9.) 13 Oct 2018 19:36:41
I still don't like him. Sorry I don't know him he might be fine but I don'tthink he is a good scout.

10.) 16 Oct 2018 13:42:58
Not an Orta fan to be honest. When some of his young international stars break through, half of who are gone or on loan, will impress me a bit more. All these bargains from Barcelona and Juve and Inter. The players progressing to the first team are mainly British and we have had a scouting system in place for decades to unearth them so no credit to Orta for that me thinks. Think he has got better with first team buys but that may be Bielsas doing as well. He will not want anybody. For me jury is still out on Orta, no doubt he is passionate but if you have to sign 15 to get two good ones do not think that is scouting.

Sam byram to norwich’s Bench £750k

Not really progressed as expected.

Other woody

1.) 16 Jul 2019 09:22:11
I posted something about this, expect it to appear shortly :-)
Career has nosedived most definately.

2.) 16 Jul 2019 09:33:48
Surprised at that one too Woody, especially the four year deal given Sams injuries over past couple of seasons.

But that’s where the business model kicks in, given he will be on circa 40k a week both Sam or rather more importantly his agent will do extremely well out of this move and irrespective of what honours successes Sam has in his career he probably already knows at this tender young age he will retire a very wealthy man.

Good luck to the lad doesn’t mean I don’t miss the old days of club loyalty and what medals you achieved. Having said that had a lock in at Malcolm McDonalds pub once where he was emptying ashtrays and working all hours, plus £300 a time on the after dinner circuit due to poor contracts and his declared gambling issues meant he was certainly not a wealthy man, he actually had to close the pub too due to debts.

Tv money has changed everything forever, just 50plus something’s like me wish it hadn’t, whilst still wishing Sam all the best. Confused? I know I am 😂.

3.) 16 Jul 2019 09:35:00
He ran his contract down again, the lads playing the game ;-)

4.) 16 Jul 2019 10:01:06
It’s another good example of how difficult it is to keep youngsters in championship or lower prem clubs if the bigger fish come fishing! 25 k a week I think he has been earning, has he been satisfied as a footballer, has he fulfilled his potential, does he mind. Imagine a number of other people have earned good money off him as well. He’s possibly going to end up back in the championship with Norwich, having earning a stack more cash in the process possibly whilst not playing very much!

5.) 16 Jul 2019 11:15:56
Hope we had a sell on clause. 🤔🤔🤔😂.

6.) 16 Jul 2019 13:27:28
Tuppence h’appeny Brightwhite!

7.) 16 Jul 2019 14:04:45
called it at the time,

Bryam was never that good, let's be honest he wasnt even the best right back at leeds so we pushed him to right wing which he was never good enough to make his own in the prem.

taylor was quality and was gutted when byram went i laughed and knew it was a waste of money and mocked many a west ham fan who thought he was going to be an england player with them.

23 Jun 2019 09:52:03
I was so convinced last year that it was finally happening

Even my youngest son rallied to the cause

He’s actually a red, the good red and now shares a love for Milner that i assured he’d get when Millie signed for them

Leeds became his second club. He understood what I felt. He saw a packed ER, the scarves held up. This was a real club, with real fans. He understood. No plastic club with tourist fans, this was real.

He was as crushed as I was in that one 20 minute good spell the sheep had against us

I shared his joy at Millie adding the European cup to his collection. Anyone but Salford right?

Promotion gave us everything

The finances to ensure these young players didn’t have to be picked off by “ bigger clubs”. No not bigger. Just those with more finances, absolutely not bigger.

So if JC is sold, whatever the deal, I hate it

I know it balances the books, maybe brings in a bit of cash for strengthening but I hate it.

It reminds me how close we got last year

This club has everything in place to challenge at the very top, apart from money

We can produce players, but I want to see the day they don’t have to be sold on

I want to see our young players come in and know they can achieve everything in a white shirt.

I still feel that day is coming again but I’m sad to see another talent allowed to leave

I know it’s business but I love football and I love my club.

Other woody

1.) 23 Jun 2019 10:52:10
Other Woody 100% agree . We need an owner with some brass and the same ambition as the fans . Does not mean he will do a Ridsdale like the Rads sycophants suggest . Just a sensible net spend on the first team squad and not selling our best young talents . The DJ fiasco speaks volumes . A regime trying to be too clever by half and trying to get promotion on the cheap . Rads like I’ve told you before : BEGGARSCAN’TBECHOOSERS #### Please stop embarrassing yourself and the fans going round begging for other teams players on the never never .

2.) 23 Jun 2019 11:03:58
That’s absolutely not a dig at Radz

He’s working within his means and if it makes is a more attractive prospect to buy so be it

We’re in a more secure position, the academy is back up to standard and he unified the club and has moved us forward

No problem with him continuing with what he’s doing.

3.) 23 Jun 2019 11:14:14
Then no point lamenting sale of JC .

4.) 23 Jun 2019 11:19:02
The bottom line for me is that the squad needs some strengthening. I don't think anyone on here wants to see reckless spending and putting the Club in to massive debt. But as RHC says just some sensible net spending. Surely there has to be a bit of speculate to accumulate, to get that bit of quality that Bielsa wants in. I don't think we can have as good a season again without 2 or 3 quality additions.

5.) 23 Jun 2019 11:33:24
Pretty much the same team as last year will struggle to get in top six . The team needs freshening up in my view .

6.) 23 Jun 2019 12:17:12
RHC, “ rads sycophants”! Why does everyone who disagrees with you have to be slagged off. Respect other people’s opinions if you want to be respected yourself. Doesn’t have to be so tribal! We all want the best for the club and allowed to have different opinions on how to achieve it!

7.) 23 Jun 2019 12:44:07
Exactly Spanish.
I do however like the phrase “sensible net spending”, even if it is only on quality loan signings.

8.) 23 Jun 2019 14:45:01
Other, the only time we will see a no need to sell is when Radz moves on. Sad, but true. It's not enough, these days, being a multi millionaire?

9.) 23 Jun 2019 20:11:23
This club has everything in place to challenge at the very top except money. I hate reading that because it’s not true. The right manager with the proper infrastructure will bring success. And we have both in abundance. Role on our centenary year!

10.) 24 Jun 2019 01:22:12
Well said Corky!

11.) 24 Jun 2019 09:50:18
Too true Cork! Look at the people and blunts; not much money there was there!

12.) 24 Jun 2019 12:42:50
Obviously wasn’t allowed to use that word to describe Naaarwich! = “people” 🤓😂.

26 May 2019 00:02:09
If these spurs scouts are that brilliant, how come they have Eric dire?

Just wondering

If Bielsa rates KP the lad can play

End of.

Other woody

1.) 26 May 2019 08:50:46
Other woody is that an early morning attempt to wind up the South London Oracle! Surely you’re not suggesting that Bielsa is right and Bermo wrong!

2.) 26 May 2019 10:03:20
Woody, Spurs scouts obviously know nowt!

3.) 26 May 2019 13:26:44
eric dier ain't that bad unlike KP he has played for england and part of the squad KP can only see on sky sports news or if he pays to stay at the hilton at st georges while they train

SLO 1 MB 0.

New image uploaded to the
Leeds Player Sightings page entitled, Actually this is quite funny

Other woody

1.) 22 May 2019 22:26:28
Funny how?

2.) 23 May 2019 10:35:09
Clearly not a GOT fan George.

3.) 23 May 2019 15:32:21
Alf No, you're correct.

4.) 23 May 2019 16:18:44
I liked it 😁😁😁.

24 Mar 2019 16:24:18
I’ll give victor and bub their due.

Daniel who? In january

Way he’s going now we won’t be able to afford him in the summer

Good spot lads

One that may have got away there.

Other woody

1.) 24 Mar 2019 18:20:43
Defo getting away is that one, unless we do go up, and we might still be in with a chance, tho his price has gone up a tad!

2.) 24 Mar 2019 18:37:10
He's supposed to be insisting on a clause in his new contract that allows him to leave for a set amount. If he and his agent have any sense that amount should be whatever Leeds offered and then he can come home 😁.

3.) 24 Mar 2019 19:45:53
Watch Spurs swoop 🙄.

4.) 25 Mar 2019 00:18:45
Staffy Swansea shall deliberately go higher than Leeds. Wouldn't surprise me to see a buyout clause of £20m.

5.) 25 Mar 2019 02:54:03
It depends on what his agent has to say George.

6.) 25 Mar 2019 13:38:33
Staffy It won't "depend" but it'll be a factor. On any understanding James price has gone up. I can see £20m buyout clause being the hard baseline for Swansea.

7.) 25 Mar 2019 15:03:12
Or, he could just not sign for them 😊😊.

8.) 25 Mar 2019 18:55:02
Even £20M is a small price to pay given his talent and potential, imagine how good he would be after a preseason under Bub 😊.

9.) 25 Mar 2019 22:42:03
He says he wants prem so that means that fee will be set at a realistic level. Prob 12.

10.) 27 Mar 2019 14:41:34
12? for a lad that can cover 85 yards in 8.5 seconds, with the ball at his feet? dream on 😁.

White ticks a lot of boxes in how MB likes to play and PJ bless him had his limitations

But as others have said we look a soft touch still

I’d like to see a bit more “ presence “ brought in but fear MB works on the basis they can’t hurt us if they don’t have the ball so a ball winning, imposing CB isn’t really his thing
Can see Davis featuring as a third CB

Sometimes answers are found from within

We’re going to win or lose playing beautiful football, it’s his way.

Costa should improve the conversion rate

JC looks to have filled out a bit.

Kids need game time

Personally I’d rather keep him and take £5m for Forshaw.

We are a class act in a division of very equal teams but very diverse finances

We have a head coach that prefers to develop young players and not always buy in ready made

It could come down to luck with injuries

Trust the u23s coming through.
