Gonna make a prediction. Leeds will buy back Lewis Cook in the not to distant future.
Ok I've had a few but it will happen!

1.) 02 Oct 2018 10:54:01
I'm going to make a prediction too cork. I'm going to get ruined tonight in Las Americas.

2.) 02 Oct 2018 15:17:43
I’m going to make a prediction, Martyn is right! Have a good one!

3.) 02 Oct 2018 17:37:11
Oh you made it Martyn 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great to hear mate, watch the game in Linekers then hit Veronica’s for a late night boogie?

4.) 02 Oct 2018 17:37:12
Think spurs will outbid us on cook

Milner will sign on a free.

5.) 02 Oct 2018 18:51:30
Don't do veronica, s class. Too many whipper snappers their to push me patience if ya dig me drift 😉 I'll stick to Buzz bar and bulls head it keeps me out of bother.

6.) 02 Oct 2018 21:13:08
Me too Martyn that was tongue firmly in cheek!
Have a great time mate 👍.

25 Sep 2018 21:26:50
Just had a bit of a ding dong with a fellow Leeds fan. He says we under achieved under O'Leary. I say the opposite.
My point was how many of that team would of got in to the Man United team?
Woodgate Ferdinand and Viduka were my opinion. Maybe Gary Kelly.
That team done well imo just a shame things went tits up.

1.) 25 Sep 2018 23:37:50
I personally love that thing, getting to the champions league semi finals is great with the team we had. Tremendous heart. But we underachieved in the fact we didn't win anything, which we probably could've.

2.) 26 Sep 2018 00:26:39
What about dacourt.

3.) 26 Sep 2018 00:29:13
Oh yea and Alan Smith. Oh yea he did get on the man u team. Then there's paul Robinson and radebe who man u tried to buy.

4.) 26 Sep 2018 08:26:28
Dacourt wouldn’t of gotten in above Keane or Scholes and Smith was only a bit part player there. Can’t believe I forgot about Radebe though!

5.) 26 Sep 2018 10:27:04
Sorry Cork ya mate was correct!

6.) 26 Sep 2018 12:35:21
I think we overachieved in the European Cup, but definitely underachieved in all the other competitions, even the League Cup woulda been nice :)

7.) 26 Sep 2018 13:28:56
Ok it would of been nice to win a domestic cup competition but in all honesty we weren’t quite at the level needed for the big trophies although only two or three signings short.
They were great times and I reckon we’re going to see em again soon enough!

8.) 27 Sep 2018 22:31:11
Bowyer was immense in Europe the shining light in that team. Also viduka.

9.) 28 Sep 2018 00:30:42
Don't forget Dom Matteo who scored that goal at the San Siro.

10.) 28 Sep 2018 19:17:10
Harry Kewell.

11.) 29 Sep 2018 14:48:05
Corky We certainly didn't overachieve. If anything, we more underachieved because at the peak of our powers we were a game for anyone. Looking back, one of the errors I believe O'leary made was the underuse of Robbie Keane who was a greater goal threat than Smith.

12.) 01 Oct 2018 11:45:40
Grayson, don't mention the Kboy ;)

13.) 01 Oct 2018 17:40:13
I now he left under a cloud but he was a bit special.

06 Aug 2018 21:30:32
Woods from Brentford is arriving apparently.
Great but if the word is true.

1.) 06 Aug 2018 22:46:57
Would be sensational if true. We'd have some team and bench. I'm still hoping Maddison as well and Kalas but trying not to be greedy.

2.) 06 Aug 2018 23:23:51
Hope you are right, if so we are set for central midfield with Woods, Forshaw, Klich, Baker and Phillips. As I see it it would be Woods and Forshaw first choice if the deal happens and when Forshaw is back from injury. Klich has a massive chance to make midfield his own tho after that performance.

3.) 07 Aug 2018 11:29:17
With Forshaw out for 6 weeks who's to say he will get back in the team? :)

30 Jul 2018 21:58:05
Vydra is a proper footballer imo and a proper loss for Leeds.
Bamford the same, a good player but can he get the 20 odd plus goals we need? A few years back for Boro he was superb so its definitely in him but i'm still not sure.
The 2 Pboro lads. Marriot for me is a big risk after one good season so let fat Frank have him but Madison looks like an assist machine. Stats can be deceptive especially in lower leagues.
We really need one if not two CBs though and i'm pretty sure the boss knows the same.

1.) 31 Jul 2018 09:36:56
The club were not happy with his attitude or wage demands and apparently his fitness was also suspect. If he was all that why wouldn't Frank want to keep him but Derby are keen to sell. Do we really want that kind of player at ER?

2.) 31 Jul 2018 12:55:14
Not sure he was a loss. Think he was above himself, how many have we seen have a prolific season sold for ten mill plus then bomb the next 3 years. Plus not sure what he would have added to team moral or if he would have gotten that head through the dressing room door.

3.) 31 Jul 2018 17:55:31
Having subsequently read of the reasons the deal fell through i have to agree Alf and BIGE. Good player though.

30 Jul 2018 21:45:48
Viera cash is a good deal. The lad showed promise but his poor passing skills would never work under Bielsa. Rather cash in now then get maybe 2 mill after him sitting on bench for a season.

1.) 31 Jul 2018 11:57:28
i agree but the deal still isn't great, his reputation at the moment is at least worth 15 mil, even though he isn't as good as people think.

2.) 31 Jul 2018 19:25:20
#CORKWHITE1.If you believe that is a good deal for Viera, I have a bridge I would like to sell you. You mention in the post above this that you think that signing Marriott and/ or Maddison would be a mistake and tbh you have a fair point. Then you seem happy to write off an England U20 international after a fairly average season by the standard he set himself in his first season, worse than that you probably don't even see the contradiction.

Four games early I suppose but who is manager of the season? Farke Wilde or Bielsa? Kind of crazy that these last four matches will decide. Last Year Norwich and ourselves were proper mid table teams and this season obviously different. Don't know how much Norwich spent pre season so can't really say who deserves to win but to me bielsa has been different gravy with style of play and basically same squad as last year. Here's hoping and praying.

1.) 18 Apr 2019 21:29:20
Has to be Bub, the other two have had longer at their club's 😊.

2.) 19 Apr 2019 05:28:52
Cork Premature discussion.
Staffy On that basis, you should also include Dean Smith as a candidate.

3.) 19 Apr 2019 09:38:57
I'd rather not include Dean Smith, he's bitter and twisted, too much of an excuse man for me 😊.

17 Feb 2019 18:32:18
Question for Spanish Bige or anyone else in the know. Can you name the best three young players who have the best chance of making the grade at ER. I've read good things about numerous youngsters but as we all know most of them move on as not quite good enough.

1.) 17 Feb 2019 18:41:09
Cork Do you mean only those youngsters who haven't yet made it to the matchday 18 first-team?

2.) 17 Feb 2019 19:54:30
Well the likes of Odour have had game time. Stephens and others haven’t. Them lads I’m thinking about really.

3.) 17 Feb 2019 19:58:40
Cork, it’s a tough question, well qualified by George. Hard because so many have already had done first team squad exposure this year, like Aaapo, Jordan Stevens and Robbie Gotts. It also depends so much on what league we are in. I’ll go for three that I really like, who I hope will make it somewhere, Clarke Oduor, Alfie Mcalmont and Bryce Hosannah. Clarke can and has played in many positions but I like him on the left wing, Bryce on the right and Alfie, industrious and creative in the centre. If we are still in the Championship next year, they could play a strong supportive role, if we go up perhaps a year dominating the under 23s. It’s very difficult to predict who will get the chance to move up at this level, not just about ability but also whether an opportunity comes up.

4.) 17 Feb 2019 23:46:49
Spanish, as the respected expert on the U23s, I'm just wondering whether you have heard any whispers of when we might first see the young Pole, Bogusz. Clearly priority with the development games currently is to give the returning first teamers necessary minutes to step up their fitness, but I'm guessing you're as keen as I am (and presumably many others on here) to see whether he is as good as the YouTube highlights would suggest he could be.

5.) 18 Feb 2019 08:31:49
Guys, thanks for the comments about the under 23 posts. I’m no expert and I’m sure there are posters on here like BIGE, I think, who have been going to under 23 games a lot longer than me. I’m just lucky that I’m here this year and I have lots of free time, to go and watch and post. I started to post because I was so impressed by the teams I saw, the coaching set up and the way the under 23s links into the first team. I really enjoy going to the games and would recommend them.

Bogusz is only 17, I don’t think he has appeared in any under 23 squads yet. Under 18 info is a bit harder to track down, but doesn’t seem to have appeared there yet. Corberan has been trying a few different faces in the attacking midfield role and Izzy Brown has been the priority there and Mcalmont has been a regular. Perhaps when Izzy makes the move, Bogusz will start to make the squads. There is a game today and then two more within a week, so perhaps the squad will be varied a bit.

Today 1pm Elland Road assuming no change in venue.

6.) 18 Feb 2019 10:44:31
Give Bogusz at least 12 months to settle in

There’s a clear plan now

Putting them in too early ( like a certain young tall dutch lad ) probably does them more harm.

7.) 18 Feb 2019 18:06:23
Soz lads been working since Friday just got home. If we are talking of players who could step up next season Gotts, Stevens Edmondson and Odour look the part. McAlmont, KunT, Huffer, Kamwa and Diaz could all be big players over the next five years and a couple of young lads in Haugland, Hudson and Kennah look to have potential. Future looks all white.

13 Feb 2019 20:53:30
Delighted for Harrison. He's been inconsistent at best but I can see he has talent. A goal or three will get the boo boys off his back. Time for him to kick on in the run in!

1.) 13 Feb 2019 23:38:10
Really agree Cork, well said!

27 Jan 2019 20:10:14
I'm not having a go at fellow Leeds fans but I was amazed at start of season that a few on here, quite a few, basically said to pension him off. He's way past it. Can't run. Best days behind him. We need younger players. I'm pretty sure you know who I'm talking about. The MVP in the championship!

1.) 27 Jan 2019 20:39:38
Personally don’t have a clue who you’re on about on this occasion Corky!?

2.) 27 Jan 2019 21:03:48
Yeh me neither!

3.) 27 Jan 2019 21:05:12
Definitely don’t want to be without him on Saturday, Corky😳been inspirational this season.

4.) 28 Jan 2019 01:21:33
Pablo? I can't recall anyone wanting him pensioned off.

5.) 28 Jan 2019 07:42:15
I am genuinely confused.

6.) 28 Jan 2019 09:06:11
Wtf? That was definitely a Sunday afternoon post.

7.) 28 Jan 2019 10:14:42
Pension Henandez off!

Nobody said that

He is younger than Strachan was. Why would any Leeds fan have said that?

8.) 28 Jan 2019 10:29:53
Because that’s what some said on here pre season. We need younger fitter players and he can’t last the 90 minutes or words to that effect.

9.) 28 Jan 2019 11:54:31
Yep, some did say we need fitter players, but no one said we don't want/ need Henandez

Wanting younger?
With the splurge on young "players for the future" last season I don't think any supporter wanted more of the

Wanting fitter players is obvious, and I am not sure how you can attack that. And the beauty of this desire is that the same player can actually get fitter. see the new regime

And it's not like Henandez was a slouch last year!

10.) 28 Jan 2019 12:02:16
tbh looking at Pablo last season and even part of the season before I was in agreement with that Corky as he always looked jaded and exhausted during games, particularly if he had played a few in a row.

However, he has certainly surprised me with his fitness this season so happy to be proven wrong. maybe he is just playing more intelligently so as not to get worn out, or perhaps he has got fitter this year i don't know but long may he continue.

Hopefully this is down to MBs training methods and tactics and not the attitude of the player which would have been disappointing. If he carries on this form and fitness he can stay for many years to come.

11.) 28 Jan 2019 12:08:12
Can't remember that being said.

12.) 28 Jan 2019 13:46:33
I know what I read. I’ll have to take notes of names in the future!

13.) 28 Jan 2019 14:47:36
Probably just me Corky!

14.) 28 Jan 2019 16:40:49
Well at least someone put their hands up!

15.) 28 Jan 2019 17:18:29
TBH, Pablo always looks knackered 😁.

16.) 28 Jan 2019 19:06:13
He did have a very bad run in away games where he was muscled out of it and looked knackered so I remember quite a few calling for him to play home games and sit out (or use as an impact sub) in away games. I thought that was right based on last years games but we have so much more possession this year home and away that he can weave his magic all the time.

11 Jan 2019 22:01:37
Come out come out wherever you are. George!
Seriously though everyone played extremely well but a special mention for Alioski. His game has come on a bundle these last half a dozen games.
All those lads who said we'd finish fourth, fifth and even tenth I wonder are they still of the same opinion? I said the other day Leeds are the best championship side I've seen this season and obviously haven't changed my mind tonight. MOT.

1.) 11 Jan 2019 22:06:36
Cork. Bang right. A team that many thought would take us to pieces, just got schooled. They were never in the game. That is why we are the champions elect. Bring on the champions!

2.) 11 Jan 2019 22:08:27
I got the 2 right Corky, just not the 4 I thought Derby would score.

Thanks for the information and apologies for the sarcasm. MOT.

We don't have a proper striker? Bamford and Roofe both average a goal better than every two games this season. In Bamfords case a goal every 135 minutes which equates to 30 GOALS in an injury free season. Now tell me we don't have a proper striker!

We actually have two players in the squad who’d score 20 plus. Roofe and Bamford. Crying effing shame both missed big chunks of season.
