Come on lads, let's be realistic. See the figure on this site thinking 2.5 million for saiz. Not a chance, I wouldn't be surprised with our lack of savvy in the market has gone on a free and were paying some of his wages for the next 2 years.

Worries me a bit that we have to guess how much players are being sold for. Saiz maybe 2mil, Wilks around a mil, Halme who knows. Take Rey he has just signed a 3 year contract with a La Liga club looks like he will be in their first team squad and not a mention of the transfer fee, not very transparent.

Who did we give £10m/ £9.5m too?


From what I have seen, we bought Saiz for £3m. He looked good when nobody knew who he was. Then got man-marked/ kicked out of the last 2/ 3rds of his first season. On the way he lost whatever increased value he had accrued by spitting at an opponent.

Can not see how he was ever a £9.5m player for the life of me. Just glad to break even on that experiment.

no i was joking axe saying our transfer policy is so good we probably paid them 10 mill to take saiz.

I am gutted about him as he was class but agree he lost his way, just think is Mb did half the job he has done with other he could of helped saiz find his way, last year when we were flying it was in no small part down to saiz who we never repalced as we fell down the table.

also he was defintaly a 10 million pound player, at the start of this season he kept getting man of the match, the experts we cling to claimed he was best player in the league

at the time he was outshinning phillips who is 30 million apprently

then we he left we suffered

if phillips is 30 then surely the player who was outplaying him must be worth a 3rd of that fee?

that said his head wasnt right so it was best to get rid even at 2.5 just typical leeds to have a player hailed as best in the league and loss him half a season later for 2.5 million.
