They had £116m burning a hole in their pocket and everyone knew it. That's the thing, it's great getting that money, but then you have to pay the wealth tax. I think it's an ok signing for them. Will suit them. Is he an upgrade on Chris Wood? Not sure.

Worth £50m? If the only time you ever saw Bamford was in his first season with us in the Prem, you would have said he would be about the same in today's money. I loved him, don't get me wrong, but my love isn't blind!

I think Delap needs to learn from Woods. Delap is, or should be, a Woods type player.
He has had his injuries, so I don't know if he will progress.
