Matt Smith gone to Fulham for 500,000k

{Ed013's Note - Poor business in my opinion}

1.) 01 Sep 2014
I thought it was 5m. that is a such a poor fee

Very poor and I think a big mistake! Just hope it does not come back to bite us!

3.) 01 Sep 2014
That's just made Ross and fulham's season a lot easier. Awful business.

4.) 01 Sep 2014
Surely he was worth more than that! Just signed new deal. Miffed.

5.) 01 Sep 2014
Total joke, cheap cheap cheap rather than leeds leeds leeds, a rubbish manager next with no chance of stabilising the ship. I fear for us, too much change

6.) 01 Sep 2014
So much for signing a new contract to put off millwall who offered £1m for him.

Not worth the paper it's written on.

7.) 01 Sep 2014
Yea me too I agree Ed. Really sorry to see him go

8.) 01 Sep 2014
Wall offered 1.4 mill apprently

9.) 02 Sep 2014
Agree Ed, poor business indeed.

{Ed003's Note - As you know I'm not a leeds fan I just cover so as a neutral I was expecting at least £1m was going to be the deal saying that I was expecting ED 013 to buy be a pint when we met up last week so nothing is ever for sure octopus.}

For the sake of a balanced view, I never really rated him, and I for one won't miss him.
I watched him at the friendly (yes, I know!) at Walsall last year and he looked like he couldn't be bothered, which p*ssed me off a bit to be honest. He did little for the remainder of last season to un-p*ss me off. I'm not saying he's a journeyman, I just don't rate him that highly.
Just an opinion, so don't shoot me down!
Given a little time to gel, our current firepower may make people look back and say Matt who?

4-6 weeks’ time we'll be in a much stronger position. We're not going to win the league, or even get to the playoffs, but a healthy top half finish this season would do for me.

MC said 2 years to get into Prem. Given the last 10 years, I'd happily take prem in 3 years! Matt Smith was never going to get us there, sorry.

It may not have been great business for us, but I don't think it was a great purchase of Fulham either.

MOT!

Ed you got it wrong it's £800,000 plus benefits.
If he's any good it will be £4 mill at the end if the day.
Promise

{Ed013's Note - Bloody benefits, hasn't this Country suffered enough as it is without Footballers jumping on the bandwagon, unless its benefits of another nature and then I am sure he will have an ever lasting smile on his face ;-)

12.) 02 Sep 2014
Smith just called Phil Hay and he didn't want to go.
I believe it's all about balancing the books at ER

13.) 02 Sep 2014
I'm sure there were other strikers that we wanted to sell before smith, to balance the books but truth is no other club wants them .so we are stuck with a couple of forwards who don't seem to know where the net is
