Seen posts complaining about pre-season games against low level opposition being pointless. Those posters seem not to be aware to learn from last season - an accusation often levelled at our club's management.

Last year we squeezed past Forest Green Rovers and Guiseley, drew with York and Southend and lost to Oxford United and finished off with a pretty uninspiring 1:0 victory over Las Palmas - and yet on the first day of the season we trounced the overwhelming pre-season promotion favourites - a shock they clearly never recovered from.

Not saying I'm currently predicting a 5:0 away win at Brizzle, just that it's sometimes easy to rush to judgement.

I think it’s a bit unfair, Manchester United played quite well!

Not sure anyone said they were pointless as all games give some one a run out and gets fitness levels up. Just a bit of a let down when we travel halfway round the world to play Ollies boys and make a big thing of it and leave our best players at home. It was a no contest and did not show what we could do against PL team as over half the team was at home. Bit of a let down for me. In the other games we have done what was expected although results mean nothing, performance everything. Also it shows some of the young ones are quite capable of getting stuck in and can fit in seamlessly.

cant see that to be honest

yes we beat a really poor team who finished 14th but also chucked away promotion from the easiest this has been for decades. point is last year wasnt good enough, i am not sure this year will be either

costa really excites me, the defence really worries me

also one big thing in that stoke win has gone the motm saiz he and pontus need to be repalced.

I’m excited by White and Pascal in a footballing way. I still think that we will bring someone else in but with Cooper, White, Pascal and one other, I think that we be enough of a base. I think White and Pascal will both get their opportunities during the year and both will do well.
In attack it’s not just about Costa, but a full year of a motivated JC and a rejuvenated Harrison. I think the ingredients are there and my prediction is that you are going to be surprised. You are already backtracking on your Harrison is rubbish so there’s hope for everyone including KP. Relax and this year, enjoy the journey!

Wex, you don’t rate the owner, you don’t rate Orta, you don’t rate Bielsa and you don’t rate the players, good job you like the shirt and the pies!

Spanish we had roofe bamford pablo casilla berardi I don't need to name the team but I was responding to the post that suggested we sent our 2nd string to aus it wasn't. Climb back into your bubble.

Wex - you really are on downer. Do you not count Costa and Klich as among our best players. Plus there's Ayling and Shacks plus Roberts on the treatment table at home. Add to them Clarke, who many were clamouring to be given more game time last year - and who appears to be back to his pre-illness form. Then White is clearly a better option than Bera at CB, and if truth be told so is Struijk.

I could go on, but for the sake of poor Aus I won't on this occasion.

Alioski, Clarke, Klich, Costa wex would say they were our best players plus White and for Edmonson is our best striker. So we left half a team at home. The likes of Berardi, Forshaw and Dallas won't be the first names on the sheet next season. Think you just like arguing wex. Say something constructive man. Never said it was our second string but that we had better players at home than the ones that were out in Perth. If you are saying Berardi is better CB than White, that Forshaw is better than Klich, that Dallas is better than homor simpson say it, put your thoughts out there instead of just posting a one line argument.

Yes wex that's half a team and other half was in Blighty now what's your argument.

We brought our best players is my point and played a team that could have started at any point last season. Not our strongest but by no means our weakest as your post suggests.

Wex, the point is, I can’t see anything positive that you have to say about our current team or set up which came third in the league. Every single post is negative about the owner about the Coach and about the players. Surely there must be some positives about what you see at the moment! Most of the other posters who have negative slants also making positive comments about the current set up, George, RHC and Whiteman included, but you just seem to concentrate on negative after negative. I talk to a lot of Leeds fans in the bars and the grounds and I honestly don’t come across people who are constantly negative like you. And these are fans who bother to pay to watch the games from all parts of the country. I accept that you have your view and it’s an honest one, but miles away from the views of people I see going to the games. Honestly feels to me that you are the one in the bubble!
