Just seen a rumour linking us with Delap. Probably nothing in it. It's silly season after all. Interesting though. Awful time at Chelsea, but there still could be a player in there.

Chelsea wanting EUR41-46M, apparently, which I cannot see us paying for a backup striker. Maybe if we can loan him, but I don't see a permanent move for that amount.

I would pay 41p for Delap. He was absolutely woeful every time I saw him play last season.

Delap was stonking at Ipswich. Chelsea just didn't make the best use of him or play to his strengths.

Talking of loans, maybe we should offer Largie on loan to Wet Sham, on the off chance that Nuno can improve him and make us want to keep him, or at least put his price up.
