I see that for tonight’s PL2 D2 play-off final Forest are fielding some of their players who have been out on loan in the EFL, which is apparently allowed. Hope we don’t come to regret not doing the same. Obviously those still involved in EFL play-off couldn’t be recalled but Leo Hjelde for one would have been a handy option at CB or LB, and Shack could have been a useful utility sub.

Totally agree with letting the lads who have fought all season, finish the job. Otherwise it’s like Arsenal, putting youth out in the Mickey Mouse, then a full squad for the final.

I actually agree with the sentiment to let the same players seal the deal - and certainly would have started with them. I was just expressing a little concern, that had Forest actually turned up and we’d been in danger of missing out, a couple of more battle hardened options on the bench could have been useful. Thankfully those who started were more than able to see Forest off - even with their returnees.
