Without goals we can't win. DCL is struggling at the moment, so we have to look at other options — maybe Piroe, maybe a false 9, anything. I know some on here will say he's our top scorer and he was top English striker, but when did he last hit the net? If we keep drawing matches it's likely we will get relegated, so no rose tinted glasses, chaps.

Be honest, we are in a dog fight. That's my opinion, not that some give a toss about my opinion as clearly stated in the past.

Great post OB.

Piroe is our best natural finisher. Start him with DCL and Okafor for the Cup quarter final and next EPL home match vs Wolves.

None of what you said there, OB, is nonsense, so don't put yourself down. My own biggest concern is the creation of clear chances for DCL. There were zero yesterday. Nor was there anyone close enough to him to feed off his aerial strengths.


Love Piroe and his close season endeavours to come back our fittest player, but he can't lead the line in the way that's needed right now. I would, however, have him playing off Dom's shoulder in a straight 2 upfront.

Totally agree, Brighty. Unfortunately, Piroe will only be up front with DCL for the last ten minutes of games when we are losing, alongside all our other forwards, because DF is chucking the kitchen sink. Tactical genius he is?!
