Whilst it's understandable that we are all nervous because we are not yet safe, there's one thing we need to remember.
Spurs and West Ham need to win their remaining matches and so far this season only the Hammers have strung back to back wins once.
Spurs have got Villa this weekend away from home and the Hammers have got Brentford followed by the Arsenal - all of those teams are going for Europe or the title.
That's one hell of an ask for both clubs - even if one of them manages it, it's highly unlikely that both of them will.
Relax guys, take a few deep breaths and all will be well. : )

Great post, Cleggy. Was going to post something very similar, whilst it's not surprising to doubt or be concerned with our own team's performance, it's what we naturally do, however, on the run in.
Put yourself in the Spuds fan base shoes.
They are third bottom of 20 in the form league; they will be lucky to get a single point from their remaining games, and that's against us.
Bournemouth away was a tough, tough fixture and we got a well earned point. I think we can definitely win away, and if we can't, they definitely cannot win the points needed to keep them up in my humble (personal) opinion.

Right with you in having that perspective, Cleggy. It'll be reet! (Fingers still crossed tho!)

Too true, Brighty. )
And you're correct, Class, that point against Bournemouth was hard fought, and shows that we've got real spirit. Have Spurs got the same? Not on the evidence of this year!

My only fear is that Villa go into their match with one eye on their return Europa fixture. Hopefully it will not distract them too much.
They have a job to do!

9 On the other hand, football doesn't always run to form, last week when Florists, Spuds and Sham all won whilst we only drew being a case in point. We've got 4 games left, 2 against relegation rivals, 1 against a team pushing for European qualification, and 1 against an already relegated team with nothing to lose and maybe a point to prove who've already beaten us once this season. If the same scenario were to play out this weekend, we'd be 16th, with Sham 1 point behind, and Spuds 3 points behind, both with home games against us still to come.
I'd rather be in our position than theirs, but it ain't over til it's over. I never like the words "must win game", but Friday night is definitely a "must not lose".
Better news that Spuds have now lost Simons and Solanke to injury, probably for the rest of the season.
