Mez. That pic of him sat alone on the pitch wasn't what I want to see for any of our players.
Yes, he made costly errors. Yes, he cost us valuable points on occasion. But all in all he served the club well and stood up as a kid when Kiko was banned / worst option.

Possibly, I'm one of few, but I hope he turns his career around, and gets back on track to fulfill his potential with a fresh start.

Yes, it was sad to see. The lad has talent and should go to a club in a less physical league to build up his career.
In my opinion, he was thrown in too young, and the season under Bielsa, when we were getting battered week in week out, just shot his confidence.
But good luck to him going forward.

Mes may be more suited back in one of the leagues, Ligue 1 or 2, in French football.

Undeniably, a nice, smiley, amiable chap.

But, bottom line, we needed a reliable goalkeeper, which he was most definitely not, for most of his Leeds United career.

And, it was far, far more frequent than 'on occasion' that he cost us valuable points.

However, I wish Mes all the very best at his new club next seez.

Bon chance, Mes.

He also saved our skins on many occasions, but many will be too stubborn to see or accept that fact.

Eeerrrrr. He has no talent at all. He thinks he is great and is pigheaded. League 1 at best.
However, I have not seen the pic referenced, and it is a team game, so he shouldn't have been left alone.

He was only 20/21 years old when he was keeper in the Premiership. It was too much for him, and he should’ve been an understudy to a more experienced goalie, not put in for that short period with Kiko.
It ruined and smashed his confidence, especially the relegation season, when we were being slaughtered by every team.

It’s a shame because he does have good attributes to be a very good keeper.
Bad choices by the management.
I wish him well and hope he finds a way to prove his potential.

Lukic was a teen when he broke into the Leeds team, as was Paul Robinson. Both in the top league..

It's got little to nothing to do with age, OP.. Meslier simply has a lot of flaws.

Aus.nothing new from you; in your world, there is not a single Leeds player or Manager worthy of shirt. Have you ever actually praised anyone at our Club?

When we win, we're lucky, when we lose, we're crap.

After decades of visiting and working in Australia, it never seems to amaze me how much whinging and moaning "Australians" do; you're a whinging pom who has been taught to do it on another level by your antipodean breatharian

Baz, stop living in the past!
The days of Lukic and traitor Robinson were light years ago, social media and the cancel culture didn't exist then.
A goalkeeper can't even make one mistake these days without being ripped apart and thrown on the scrap heap.

The club poorly managed his development when you consider today's demands by the fans, and the harsh scrutiny of pundits and the like.

I'm a bit confused about comments on Meslier being thrown into the team at such a young age, and it being blamed on ruining him? Meslier was, in fact, the youngest goalkeeper in the Premier League to keep 11 clean sheets at 21 years old. He was actually a great prospect.

For whatever reason, possibly poor coaching, he actually got progressively worse and made some really high-profile mistakes. Hopefully, the lad gets some form back and, more importantly, his confidence back. I wish him well.

Oh come off it, OP, with the lame excuses.

It's just my opinion, that's all. Mez was a good prospect in my opinion, but one way or another, they didn't manage or coach him in a way to gradually improve him.
He is leaving the club now, so I wish him well. If other fans prefer to give him their middle finger, then that's their choice.
