Remember, we all thought we all blew it when City flat packed us at Maine Rd. What a team we had back then.

Good times for sure, football & raving in the early 90's. What a fantastic time to be a Youth. ❤️

Back in the day, our game wasn't shown live, but was shown delayed in full on ITV. If anyone remembers, ITV showed the wrong league table before the game, that is, with our extra points from the game we were about to watch.

I never noticed and still watched the game not knowing the outcome.

I have zero recollection of that, Ani. You sure on this? I remember watching the Leeds game and all the crazy goals, but that's it.

It all depended on where you were living at the time, I guess, Corkey. From my recollection, ITV, at the time, was the only broadcaster of live football, that being the "Big Match". In the Central region, where I was living, they showed the match in its entirety at 2:00 PM, even though the match kicked off at 12:00 midday, only 20 miles up the road.



It's quite possible that Yorkshire TV and other regions showed the match live.

Interestingly, the Man U v Liverpool game was the last terrestrial live TV league match before Sky took over.
