I for one was in full agreement with Baz (yes it hurts Baz) that Joe Rodon would be a massive risk. but are Elvis and Gary now our strongest to CBs at the club?

Think James, DCL and Garry now top three picks but that's as things should be with the spine of the team.

Does Joe get straight back in? Unthinkable previously but JJ and Bogle linked so well, nice problem for our manager but all good news.

I am in full agreement with you ( and yes it hurts Class ?) that JJ and Bogle linked up so well vs Newcastle.

But let's not be too hasty about considering not starting Super Joe Rodon

1) it was just one game and Newcastle were crap
2) Newcastle still scored
3) you forget so quickly that Chelsea thrashed us by 6.an utter capitulation without Joe to steady matters
4) Leeds this seez with Joe.no goals conceded
5) In the 4 matches without Joe.9 goals conceded.no clean sheets
6) Joe Rodon 's first 100 Leeds United matches 49 clean sheets
7) Joe provides the team with supreme leadership and fighting battlling ethos more so than even Amps imo.no other Leeds player comes close to this vital quality.

It's great to have choices.but away from home and especially vs the better teams Joe Rodon would be first name on Baz's teamsheet.

Elvedi has looked excellent for the most part and that is a big relief due to the Rodon injury. Over the course of a season I think all of our CBs will get minutes but if it means we don't have to rush Rodon back that is a massive bonus.

We need depth and competition for places to keep all the players hungry.
Rodon's injury being a hamstring can be unpredictable with timescales and he definitely will not be rushed back even if he is normally a quick healer.
You can't rush a hamstring injury, but it is an ideal time and opportunity for Elevedi and Muharevic to make it very difficult for the coach to include Rodon when he has recovered, it's the nature of the beast.

You don't change a winning formula.

I agree we definitely need depth and competition for places OP.

however yesterday you stated it would have been a " waste to sign another striker".

We dont have depth at CF position.imo.

Two reasons possibly a striker wasn't recruited, one not enough money or two not the right player available.
I don't know Baz but maybe you feel any old striker will do ?
I don't think that's the guidelines set out by Farke and the recruitment.

I think some teams would have bought an able striker in the 3 months for say less than 35 mill. Can't be bothered to think but over the entire Europe. You'd think quite a few changed clubs.

It might be possible Aus that there could have been one or two targets, but perhaps they didn't want to come to Leeds United ?
There might be a number of strikers that were available over the summer but also there's a lot of football clubs.
We are not a magnet for quality strikers out there, no recent trophies and no European football !

Brentford, Bournemouth plenty of good striker signings over years yet have won no trophies.
