Any manager that somehow makes Ajax bad in the Dutch league really has no place managing in the premier league.

Mighty - to be fair to the man, Ajax are apparently struggling with debt, which led to DoF Edwin van der Sar selling or releasing their goal GK Sketelenberg, second choice GK Andre Onana, lb Daley Blind, second choice LB Nicolas Tagliafico, RB Noussair Mazrouai, CB Lisandro Martinez, second choice RCB Perr Shuurs, CM Ryan Gravenberch, LW Anthony and CF Seb Haller and a few lesser lights, for combined fees of €216.22m (including the freebie releases total market value of €249.1m) . Ajax brought in players with a total market value of €136.2m.

The reduction in quality within the squad - with most previous starters gone, and several important back up players also lost- is marked, but the disruption to squad cohesion and belief would also have been seismic. Even the best of coaches would have struggled in that position - and while they struggled in CL against Napoli (who are outstanding this season) and Liverpool, at least they still thrashed Rangers home and away.

George - did you not read the rest of my comments - which were the main points. Any manager would struggle if 8 of their regular starters and 3 of their main backups were sold, particularly when more than €100m of the funds raised were siphoned off to clear some of the club’s debt so the DoF bought in lesser quality replacements.

I see some news outlets reporting that Ajax have won 3 league games in a row since he left - scoring 12 goals. What they don’t say is that Ajax also beat the same opposition under him earlier in the season- scoring 15 goals.

No you are Wrong, his record for the 22/ 23 season was 12 wins 7 draws and 7 losses before Ajax had the good sense to sack his ass, we would have been better off keeping the clown we had. This is a complete joke, would rather of got Rafa, Gerrard or even getting fat Sam o (on a short term contract)
