Just wondering why we are 5-1 favourites to win the Championship next season, when, from a lot of the negativity on here we'll be lucky to avoid relegation!
I think people are still on a downer from how last season ended, as was I.
However, it was put into perspective when my bird died the following day! 😭
I really loved that budgie! 🐦💛.

we are favs as bookies like to entice people into betting so people will say leeds are favs they did ok last year ill back them. So sometimes they put favs who they don't think will win so they don't have to pay out, called backing the fav. like with stoke

the other reason is we have a big fan base so will be heivliy backed so they have to protect themselves. this is called following the market and covering their odds

at this stage it means nothing- this is why england often have shorter odds around a world cup not because they think we will win but because they know england will be backed.
