Carpi will be laughing there socks off

2.) 15 May 2018 07:09:57
Taxi for orta

3.) 15 May 2018 07:32:19
Capri might be Martyn, but we aren't.

4.) 15 May 2018 08:39:57
Expect more if the same LUFCfev it's going to be a rollercoaster ride this summer. Feels like groundhog day

5.) 15 May 2018 09:11:42
Too right about Groundhog Day ffs. When will they learn. Utter morons. Could of picked up a free agent and paid him $50k a week.

6.) 15 May 2018 09:32:39
I understand everyone's thoughts, and tend to agree to be honest, but it's not the lads fault, so let's give him a chance before destroying him, and support him. Not many had heard much of Lucas when we signed him either.

7.) 15 May 2018 09:39:43
Or wilekdward. Inspired that was.

8.) 15 May 2018 13:57:45
might turn out to be the new Yeboah

9.) 15 May 2018 16:52:55
I think Aussie should have used a much bigger question mark altho I hear what your saying Brighty. Lets's reseRve judgment it's just his CV doesn't look too clever.

10.) 15 May 2018 17:32:59
Or the new ekuban alf

11.) 15 May 2018 22:21:53
Exactly Martyn, and Alf. we just don't know til we see 'em

12.) 16 May 2018 12:46:59
We can guess though bright. Let’s be honest mate. What are the odds of him being a Yeboah with Orta scouting?

12 Feb 2018 01:01:49
Good morning lads. Just watched the game. Did bussleton jetty swim at the weekend so unable to watch live. A slight improvement from us i thought. We played semi well for a few bits of the game. Few iffy ref decisions. Prob deserved the draw. Quite a lot of improving still needed but we had more passion and whole team put effort in. Lacking in quality in few areas and roofe, sacko, okane, phillips don't seem to have the ability needed. Hopefully viera regains his mojo. Saiz to come back and tyler lass and eukaba to fight it out for frontline. Optimistic without being completely happy.

Ausman1

1.) 12 Feb 2018 13:47:14
how did your swim go Aus? How far was it?

2.) 12 Feb 2018 22:56:56
Its a long jetty alf. Ha ha. From beach. Round jetty to beach finish is 3.7km. Bit choppy for a while. First go at it. 1 hr 22 min. Well chuffed with the time. Would jave been happy with 1 hr 45 lol.

3.) 13 Feb 2018 08:49:13
Quicker than it takes lassy to get from box to box

09 Feb 2018 00:41:59
Think lassoga is a luxury we can't afford atm. For the amount of touches he has during a match and the little he does with them i'd use him as a last 15min sub at best. Hoping new boy shines with roofe or eukaba and we don't have to use lassoga at all. Way over rated.

Ausman1

1.) 09 Feb 2018 07:28:52
Perhaps Hecky will be able to get more out of him. I believe Lasogga could be a player if he starts to use his size to bully defenders a bit more - that's what i would be looking to coach into him. Roberts unlikely to start based on the press conference comments yesterday but could be on the bench. Hecky has been an admirer of Roberts so I daresay he has a few ideas of how he would like to play him which could be very tasty.

2.) 09 Feb 2018 07:39:23
He is Aus, maybe PH can get something out of him TC couldn't, afraid he's our 'best' option till Ekuban is fully fit.

3.) 10 Feb 2018 13:44:23
Good post as usual Aus. Your normal service has resumed.

4.) 10 Feb 2018 15:25:17
One of his better games today. Led the line well. Won a few headers for once, and held the ball up well. Great finish for our goal after great work from Pablo.

07 Feb 2018 00:26:58
Im in the, give the guy a chance camp. He has come in at a difficult time. i'd like at least a point from sheffield, but he has a seriously diminished squad. Hoping he goes for a bit of pace up front. Give tyler a chance. Rest alioski for dallas. Drops lassoga. Put eukaba back in if fit. can't really judge him at least until he has pontus, berahdi and saiz back.

In the meantime i'm hoping he has a good look at potential benchers from u23s. Our defense is short of a picnic atm so best form of defense is attack. Hard fast constant flows of attack. Over to you pauly! In regards to leeds comments when he was a lad. Grow up boys. Sticks and stones He will be chuffed to be given this opp and will work his socks off.

Oh and it worked last time so, ORTA OUT!

Ausman1

1.) 07 Feb 2018 01:12:43
Any post that says Orta OUT gets a thumbs up from me!

2.) 07 Feb 2018 02:50:48
I've been having a wee think. Not usual for me, I know, but nevertheless. Let's say, for argument's sake, that we have a quick and pronounced turnaround in fortune. Does that mean that our players are the goods and Orta was right all along and his vision was only sullied by TC's ineptitude. Don't know. I'm not saying this is the case but it is an interesting thought.

3.) 07 Feb 2018 06:07:47
If pauly turns our fortunes round using a lot of ortas signinings then humble pie mabe on the menu. But me thinks not!

4.) 07 Feb 2018 06:17:27
I'm inclined to agree with you, Ausman. Still, food for thought.

5.) 07 Feb 2018 08:17:15
Interesting Kiwi i like your thinking. Fans have been getting there backs up a lot with orta and maybe orta is sticking by his recruitment in saying well it sthe manager who isn't playing them right so he has to go. Really could see a 442 this weekend, and praying or grot to come good, grot and roberts could be lethal in a few years, just hope they both get used. i'm also sick of the 4231 now i think its boring and expected from leeds, let's mix it up, a 433 with an attaching midfielder maybe, perhaps you coudl have forshaw and vieira sitting with phillips supporting the striker, to wide men hugging the touchline, dallas was excellent in that second half, really impressed me he's something we've missed. hernandez cutting in from the left and whipping balls in. i'm really optimistic about this team again. I was always on the TC in bandwagon and keeping him for the season but I went to ER on saturday, and hull on tuesday, and both performances showed no clinical edge that we've had when saiz was available, and a lot fo what monk showed last year with wood up top. Since losing kyle bartley, jansson has gone quiet and hasn't had as good of a season, but that doesn't mean he can't turn it maybe a brutal manager is what we need. This man knows leeds and knows what they're about having had such a close link with them as a barnsley fan, manager, player, wednesday player, and seeing them in the championship for so long, i don't think you could have hired anybody more relevant that's got years ahead of him. The 18 month contract thing, i think that's a statement from him to say, if i can't get you up by then, ill go i'm not right for this, bt give me a full season in charge with my own recruits ill show you what i can do. I like this bloke, and i think he just may be a miracle.

6.) 07 Feb 2018 09:18:20
The problem with 442 or 433 is the midfield battle - with only 3 or 4 in there we can lose the battle and that is vital to the whole game. therefore 5 in the middle makes sense so that we can supply the forwards and help the defence. with that in mind and our depleted squad to consider I would be tempted (as another poster said yesterday i think) to play a 3-5-2. De Bock on the left side, Pennington in the middle and Anita on the right. Utilise Dallas as wing back on the left and Alioski on the right. middle three of Hernandez, Forshaw and Viera in the middle and a front two of any combination of Roberts, Roofe or Lasogga.

7.) 07 Feb 2018 09:19:21
Didn't Jansson get player of the month last month Samo? Return to form i would say?

8.) 07 Feb 2018 10:24:23
The 352 sounds appealing and i think jansson may be back fit so would be a better option than anita. Alioski works hard to track back, and I'd probably play him like you say, question is, where does this formation leave berardi, ayling, saiz, cooper, ekuban, when all fit and not suspended, suppose it enables us to have a really good bench. If i were to play a 352, and considering this a championship team again next season, i'd have wied, (think paul will bring in someone like bentley from brentford) jansson, ayling, berardi, dallas and de bock as wing backs, 2 holding being vieira and forshaw, hernandez as number 10, then saiz and roberts up top. However, i think the 3421 would better suit us, with hernandez, saiz, and roberts as the front 3, with dallas and de bock on the wings. I think alf got POTM in december yes alf but everyone knows he was a better overall player last year, 1 of 2 for the team of the season from leeds last year, bamba is more likely to get it than jansson this year as horrible as that is to say

9.) 07 Feb 2018 13:06:11
Jansson for Anita for sure, Saiz for Hernandez, Ekuban for Lasogga and the rest can play for their places with those in form keeping their spot. although with everyone fit I would go to a narrow 4-2-3-1 myself with the 3 pushing forward and looking to score goals and provide chances for Ekuban.

16 Jan 2018 00:46:54
Relax, all the posters on here that said there is always one team that comes from nowhere into the play offs and thought it could be us! Its not. Its fulham! Think we will be the team that flirts with top 6 the entire season and then misses out in last week. Wait. Wasnt that last season? As my previous post two days ago. Nothing changes! Fed up and bored of it. Hate losing. Hate under achieving. We just seem time and time again to get owners with the right intentions but not the knowledge needed to come good on them.

Another good post. What's going on with you Aussie and all these excellent contributions? Dosage must be spot on finally.

2.) 16 Jan 2018 05:51:39
Funny guys. Funny.

3.) 16 Jan 2018 07:13:11
Frustrates the life out of me Aus, we have been in similar positions to this before, notably the decent team Grayson had, last season also, with 2/3 quality signings we could really give it a good go, we have bought way too much quantity over quality, I have spent a fortune travelling to and from All the home and away games, and I will carry on doing it, I would however like us to show some ambition over the next fortnight and at least try to get the players to take us into the top 6.it's 15-16 months since we knew Taylor was going and we only just got a left back, let's hope it's not 15-16 months till we replace wood!

4.) 16 Jan 2018 13:12:23
Oh dear george and ed. 4 down. Maybe my reputation precedes me?

Looks like we got our man. Let's see how this goes. I think radz would have given him first say on buying, within our budget of course. The most exciting thing is at last we will see heavy metal full on attacking soccer at Leeds. I'm not 100% convinced it will work out but I think we will get better players and adopt better tactics and be entertained while it lasts! But good luck mate. Go for it!

Ausman1

1.) 13 Jun 2018 16:55:54
well a lot of fans have been demanding a big name, a coach that will attract players and someone proven. they have got their wish. For all those that asked for it please don't start crying if it does not start off to your expectations.

2.) 13 Jun 2018 17:47:56
Totally agree with both of you! Roll on the coming weeks, and next season.

06 Jun 2018 00:08:08
Let's be sensible about this. My recent post said I hope the new manager is good enough to last the season. Not that he should be given the season for stability. It depends on what radz brief is to him, what he has intimated he will deliver and what players we buy.

If all the above has been sorted and agreed then he will get all preseason to prob be the first manager to have a good idea what his starting 11 is. Should hit the ground running and be judged accordingly. If we are in bottom 8 at Xmas. He be gone and deservedly so.

Ausman1

1.) 06 Jun 2018 07:18:48
Does anyone know if he speaks any English at all?

{Ed001's Note - Bielsa? He certainly didn't when he was at Marseille a couple of years ago.}

2.) 06 Jun 2018 07:24:08
Hopehewasntreferringtomeed?

{Ed001's Note - no mate, we all know you don't speak any English at all, don't worry.}

03 Jun 2018 04:01:24
Maybe radz changing his tune a bit. Maybe why no knew manager been named. Maybe he is going for better quality manager and having to negotiate what level of transfer control they will have. Maybe that's why not bought anybody yet. Maybe radz is waiting to get new managers opinion on new players. Maybe.

Ausman1

1.) 03 Jun 2018 08:21:05
Dont believe Orta has only say on senior players manager has to have a say.

2.) 03 Jun 2018 08:51:10
There is probably a committee involving Radz, Kinnear, Orta and the Head Coach when it comes to signing players however it is likely that the Head Coach will ask for a position to be covered i.e striker and Orta will provide the player. It is foolish to believe that anyone but Orta will have known who Lassoga, Saiz or Alioski were. Radz has confirmed his limited knowledge and Kinnear is a real estate expert, so it is likely that Orta will have the lead opinion

3.) 03 Jun 2018 10:52:50
Yeah, and on what basis is he qualified. Bloke didn’t even play the game. He signs whatever player he can get the best backhander for.

4.) 03 Jun 2018 11:26:43
Kinnear and Orta, what a totally uninspiring duo we have at the top end of the Club. Some of Kinnear's Programme Notes last year were deluded. He said we could still get top six when every man and his dog knew we had more chance of seeing Rocking Horse sh*t.

5.) 03 Jun 2018 14:20:10
Kinnear is a dyed in the wool yes man. If it facilitated fan placating, he'd tell you the moon was made of swiss cheese.

6.) 03 Jun 2018 17:15:56
You mean it isn’t George?

02 Jun 2018 06:49:31
Is radz going to be able to break his current pattern of lousy decision? Is he able to get a manager that can at least give it a go and last one whole season? I'm not sure. That's what we need now. Stability and a sensible capable manager.

Ausman1

1.) 02 Jun 2018 09:37:24
Ausman doesn’t look like it if the story’s are true same old thing,

2.) 02 Jun 2018 12:02:56
Unlike the beginning of last season Whiteman pal, I will be reading your posts and agreeing! You got last season and Radz, Orta and the players spot on, you and a couple of other posters were thought of as non Leeds supporters, but you my friend are and even when it was rosy in the garden you saw something others didn’t so I’m with you this season and Brightwhite, Radz has one chance left to get this right to save his position, Orta has had to many cock ups, let’s stop the stupid long contracts, let’s wait to see the potential if they are unknown and let’s mix the unknown with proven talent. Get your head in gear Radz it’s game on, you have a lot to prove to a lot of paying supporters! 👍👍

3.) 02 Jun 2018 12:46:29
For me the jury is out on Orta, the man. What I think needs to go is his position. If that also means him, then so be it. We do not know if Radz tasked him with building for the future and if so then we do not know how good or bad, at his job, he is what we do know is that the signs are encouraging. The young guns we have seen seem more than capable and everyone is making the right noises for the young lads waiting in the wings. No, the change must be that any Head of recruitment must work for the manager. At the pointy end the manager will name a named player and the recruiter must then get it done. Further down the scale the head of recruitment must direct the scouts around the lower leagues and abroad.

As each day quietly passes. No news. Déjà vu Same Leeds in transfer window Players not wanting to play for Leeds but prefer hanging around to see if better offer comes up. We know how much we have to spend. Please god I hope we know who we want to buy by now. Buy them or make an offer and give them 7 days to decide.

Wat planet you on Dougie? They made hard work of a useless team. Weak in the tackle, long ball, stationary, clueless. U watch teams like Egypt, Peru, Iceland, Mexico, Spain, Portugal etc etc etc etc! That’s how you play the game. That’s passion. Just proves to me the only reason the prem league is so strong is cause of foreign players and managers.
