Well I'm going to predict Norwich 0 Leeds 3 and then Leeds 1 Norwich 3. Leeds win 4 - 3 on aggregate and off to Wembley to face Southampton but WBA is not a forgone conclusion by any means for the Saints.

My only worry about a Wembley final against WBA is that we might be ordered to play in the pink monstrosity. as I don't think both Leeds and WBA would be allowed to play in their home kits but I'd have thought Southampton and Leeds home kits wouldn't be deemed a clash of strips so that's my thought process on that one.

I do think as we finished 3rd Leeds should be allowed to play in their all white kit anyway but it's the EFL and they sure love to throw a spanner or two into the works of Leeds United if they think they can get away with it.

West Brom to beat Saints over 2 legs.

2.) 10 May 2024 05:06:33
Cheshire The Canaries will defeat home and away the Unrotated Down Toolers. Lost the dressing room, he has. On Sunday, he'll also lose the first leg.

3.) 10 May 2024 06:26:52
Indeed, it will take some turnaround in form and an even bigger change in tactics and coaching to get us promoted.

4.) 10 May 2024 09:43:42
Opti has as most likely to get promoted amd most likely home amd away winners v Norwich.

5.) 10 May 2024 09:59:42
“Lost the dressing room”? ????
On what particular inside information are you basing this profound, outlandish pile of toss this time?

6.) 10 May 2024 10:08:39
If Ipswich had had Junior Firpo as their LB this season

and Leeds United had had Leif Davis this season as their LB

Is their any poster on here ( bar Bright ☺) , who sincerely believes that ( EPL bound) Ipswich still finish above ( Play Offs bound) Leeds United? ?

# The fine margins of getting promoted to EPL fortunes.

7.) 10 May 2024 11:39:14
Aha the boisterous language and hypocrisy of Bright.

8.) 10 May 2024 11:47:49
So Bright rather than just criticize Geirge pov

feel free to ' speculate ' ??as to why this team has fallen off a cliff 8 points in 8 games

Enlighten everyone with Bright wisdom and logic ?.

9.) 10 May 2024 14:45:52
Bright Zero inside information but the following facts point toward my conclusion:

1. Terrible performances post international break.
2. Terrible points tally post international break.
3. Many goals conceded post international break.
4. Meslier reverting to his worst EPL form of last season (polo mint strategy) .
5. Bizarrely players don't look bothered.
6. Contradictory statements from Farke in pre and post match interviews.
7. Rumoured spats between certain players such as Jimmy and Joel.
8. Rumoured discord between players and DF for failure to rotate causing lethargy (manifesting in weak form and lack of animation on pitch as described above) .
9. Rumoured upset over treatment of 8 minute season Cressy (with his own Dad's tweets still lingering) .
10. Social media content creators opining that Farke has no Plan B with Canaries fans chiming in corroborating.
11. All of this being picked up on by Leeds players, Farke and 49ers hierarchy.

Tends to suggest disharmony among the players and a "lost dressing room".

Call me a bluff old traditionalist conspiracy theorist Walter Mitty character.

Over and out
Walter George.

10.) 10 May 2024 15:02:43
No Thanks. I’ll just carry on as I am cheers. That’s what you two do anyway.

11.) 10 May 2024 15:10:34
Assumptive, presumptuous and foundationless.
Expected.

12.) 10 May 2024 16:09:33
No need to be so critical and self-deprecating of your own posts Brighty.

13.) 10 May 2024 16:58:40
OMG Baz, how many times have you praised Ipswich’s success to your hero Maguire? So bearing that in mind if he had Firpo instead of Leif then his skill set to work wonders with his players would have sufficed! Why are you and George so hell bent of predicting our shortfall and losses, I’m sick of reading what we will lose by, why don’t you steady you’re own banter site?, you could call it ‘Victor Meldrew is a Leeds supporter banter site’!

14.) 10 May 2024 17:27:46
“No need to be so critical and self-deprecating of your own posts Brighty. “
The attempted intelligent version of “I know you are, but what am I? ”…. ?????.

15.) 10 May 2024 17:35:27
Baz, You post rubbish you deserve a negative response, you are defending the indefensible, that being George’s ridiculous post.

16.) 10 May 2024 18:22:55
Very good points George in retort.

17.) 10 May 2024 18:24:25
As expected from Bright . just bluff and guff ?.

18.) 10 May 2024 18:38:15
Lol Woody very droll

We shall see what Sunday brings.

19.) 10 May 2024 21:22:24
A Leeds win that’s what it will bring! Come on Baz surely you know that Leeds supporters are always optimistic, is that not what all football supporters are? If not why do 36,000 turn up at Elland Road every match, why do 60+ thousand turn up at Anfield or even 3000 at Harrogate, why would you buy a ticket if you are not hopeful of winning? and before I get any clap trap from anyone, I know I would not buy a ticket if I thought we would lose 6-0 or 7-0 but I did as I was there!, and I was still standing within Elland Road with the minions the week after. So please tell the rose tinted brigade why we would do this to ourselves, my answer, because We Are Leeds and All Leeds Are We! Is the rose tinted lot unreal or is it the black cloud lot that are saps?
Answers on a postcard chaps! ????.

{Ed025's Note - love it Woody..

20.) 10 May 2024 21:44:49
Woody pal

Win, lose or draw

Champions, also ran, promotion, relegation seasons .

we all be back each and every season as Leeds fans as you and I have done for multiple ( 5, 6 ) decades.

Some matches one logically think Leeds will win . some dependent on strength of opponents, form, team line up, injuries, coaching competence one may logically be not so confident

Comprende amigo.

21.) 10 May 2024 22:51:56
Baz I respect your answer but there has never been a match we have played that i ever thought we would lose, granted tough games but always thought we’d win! even when we we were rock bottom, I still believed we would win, if you don’t have that what do you have in football? I’m sure there is no way in my mind would I buy a ticket with the expectation of losing! ????.

22.) 10 May 2024 22:53:47
Thanks Ed, by the way well done on escaping relegation, The Premiership is better with Everton in it, regardless of what anyone thinks! ??.

{Ed025's Note - i would like to think so Woody but we do need to get our act together at boardroom level mate...or its just a matter of time. cheers..

Fair enough Dougie my post is pretty despondent regarding Leeds play off chances which reading it again this morning I forgot to take into account that Bamford and James should be rested and fit to play who we missed really badly at QPR and Southampton so even as I write this now the doom and gloom is starting to lift and is being replaced by genuine excitement and a beautiful euphoric visualisation of Farke's men being triumphant at Wembley with 40,000 ecstatic Leeds fans giving it back large to the rival supporters who mocked us.

Our form has not been great, hense my original pessimism but with a couple of key players back plus Roberts too we can get our early 2024 impressive run going again and experience promotion Wembley style that Leicester and Ipswich fans will be extremely envious of.

Yes positive thoughts Dougie you are right, it's impossible for me to be neutral to not care and switch off my Leeds United allegiances I was kidding myself or meakly protecting myself, so yes I shall man up wear my lucky Leeds socks and suffer and then enjoy the ride these next 3 games takes us all on. MOT.

That's the spirit CW, I feel like a coach now lol. Tgeres too much grey cloud on here somewhere, but not dismissing some realism either. We are all ALAW and MOT or we're not, but that's my rose tinted glasses.

I was quite resigned Saturday night to our season being done regarding promotion as I convinced myself that the side are shot and look incapable of beating anyone.

A few days later and although I still don't feel that confident about first overcoming Norwich and if we did manage to do that then it's difficult to see anything other than final disappointment against Southampton or WBA who we've only managed a solitary point against both sides and that came courtesy of a late marauding Luke Ayling leaping like a salmon to equalise.

So accepting another season in the Championship is odds on and taking all the social media teasing from other clubs fans on the chin I have freed myself from any anxiety or expectations in the 2 Norwich games and feel almost detached and a neutral observer which I shall be for both games on tv and see them as a free hit and with nothing to lose.

Nowr maybe my emotional switch off and relaxed attitude will change if the Norwich tie ends up being decided on penalties but I'll face that possibility if it comes and similarly in a Wembley final which apart from a 4-3 Charity Shield win against Liverpool in 1992 I have never seen Leeds win there and again would go into such a game with pretty low expectations but first things first Norwich.

I personally feel if Leeds are to have a chance of getting through the tie they need to win at Carrow Road by 2 goals as I am not convinced the first team can put in another strong performanc in only 3 days later and anticipate Norwich beating us at Elland but
again that's my resigned to another season in the Championship mindset speaking which I sincerely hope is wrong.

Till Sunday then and let's hope this board is a wash with complimentary remarks about Leeds dominate performance which sees us going into the 2nd leg at least 2 goals to the good. MOT.

Cheshire, if football was played on paper meaning stats etc we’d probably lose these play off games, but football often goes against statistical information and turns results upside down.

Anything can happen pal, especially in the play offs.

Nothing is decided, it’s simply like a random roll of the dice in my opinion.

2.) 07 May 2024 08:24:07
Crikey Cheshire hope I don't get stuck in a lift with you. So you are a Leeds fan that wants to be neutral, as you expect us to lose and therefore won't be dissapointed.
Pal, life is a rollercoaster you just got to ride it. You got to have faith. We need to get Physical, then it's Que sera sera. And when it's all said and done we will all be Happy Talking.
I hope you all noted the songs ?.

3.) 07 May 2024 09:45:44
It was life is a minestrone dougie. Not roller coaster.

4.) 07 May 2024 10:11:28
Personally, I think we'll easily beat Norwich.
I also think WBA will beat Southampton and it'll be a Leeds v WBA final ??
The winner of this clash, will hopefully be Leeds United ??.

5.) 07 May 2024 18:36:45
Aus, Westlife never sung a song about a bowl of soup.

6.) 07 May 2024 22:10:02
Wasn't it Ronan Keating?

7.) 08 May 2024 07:29:35
It was Alf you're right.

8.) 08 May 2024 09:20:07

The way I view Meslier now is he's ours, part of the Leeds United family, warts and all. He is still relatively young in goalkeeping terms and therefore can and will improve as he matures.

Morning all. it's actually Macclesfield White here but for some unknown reason this site wouldn't accept my log in details so haven't posted for weeks but finally decided to re register under Cheshire White.

Anyhoo last night was a massive let down and really deflates all our enthusiasm and expectations and more worryingly makes you question Farke's key decisions last night which I think were responsible for such a flat, uninspiring performance that played right into Stoke's hands.

You can't drop players in form whatever DF said afterwards about squad rotation etc. Just start your strongest 11 and get 2 or 3 up and then take players off after 70 minutes you want to preserve their energy and protect from potential injury.

I want to see like all of us on Saturday a fast out of the blocks dominant performance that ultimately gets us back on track with 3 points and back in the hunt for top 2 which this morning looks some considerable way off but still possible with 33 games to go.

I think the pressure of leading from the front will start to tell for Ipswich with the likes of us, Southampton, Sunderland, Boro and a few others breathing down their necks. Leicester look home and hosed though even at this early stage.
