Much, much more likely to happen is Harry Gray on season long loan to Sheff Utd.

Would be a brilliant signing and well worth £20m, only way to think otherwise is to not have watched much of him.
Top in both boxes, great at carrying the ball, and a good shot on him, and only young.

Wow Daz, you're very easily pleased.
You were watching SC playing in a weakish level Champo last seez, against Champ players (not EPL players) .
Saints, for most of seez, were bossing it, scoring 86 Champo goals.
SC has a good shot, but bottom line, he was only good for 4 of Saints' 86 goals, and he had a mere 2 assists in the Saints' Champo campaign. Hmm.
SC also failed to score in 34 matches in the previous season to that.
So yeah. meh imo.
Yes, he is an energetic player (but we already have energetic players of okish EPL quality) , we don't need yet another!
I would rather Leeds signed 2 to 3 overseas proven quality attacking £30 million plus players, who will definitely make a big difference to our first 11 quality.

The fact that you're judging him on goal contributions says all I need to know. Suppose Ampadu was crap last season because he didn't score enough?

We already have Amps, Stach, Tanaka, Longstaff, Gruev, BA.
Instead, we defo have much more pressing needs to recruit in than to blow £20 million on a box-to-box, non-scoring, non-assisting Champo SC.

Our transfer budget, imo, should be mostly spent on 3 quality, proven players that will make a big difference to our creativity and goalscoring. Pretty please.

Aren't we a stats-based team? Isn't that what guides us to buying certain players, and not others? If true, then Baz would be right. Although you prob never really know if a player is able to step up to us until you try. Even 80-100 mill players can fail.

Acquisitions can also be made based on player potential as opposed to historical records. Citeh thought that potential was worth putting a 25% sell-on clause in his contract - something you complained we didn't do for Cree's contract in another post, Baz.
Aus, your acknowledgement of only 2 stats in football really speaks volumes about your ball knowledge.

On SC, the club has acknowledged that we are admirers, but interest hasn't progressed beyond that currently.

I think the good thing about Sc, which has been discussed before, is that he can play in a number of positions - DM, AM, FB and CB. If he does come, then I think one of the current midfield players will leave. If Ao left, then it would certainly be a big plus for our ability to spend big in other areas.
